Went in for an alignment Tuesday since I put new tires on my truck. I was told it could not be done since my two lower ball joint needed to be replaced. It’s my work truck so I’m having to work around my schedule to drop it off. Schedule an appointment to have it done on a Friday at 2. Dropped of my truck at 1 o’clock. Around 5/5:30 they call and say wrong part came in I can pick it up or leave it for the next day. I leave it. I’m called Saturday around 10:30/11 to pick up my truck that it’s ready. Later in the day I’m drive my truck and my front right wheel locks with my break pad. I have to leave my truck on the side of the road. It’s after 6 so they are already closed. I have it towed to the shop the next morning . When I’m there they say they never touched my brakes, but they can check it. They end up telling me it’s who ever did my brakes fault they used wrong parts. Just put new tires and done oil change and brakes where checked and no problem with them till I came go Mavis shop so I know it all bull. They say they will fix it for free. (Even though it not there fault) ok. Leave my car at the shop again. Get the call to pick it up that it ready and on my was home truck is pulling to the right. Call them they say maybe it just needs an alignment all over again. But they don’t have anyone there that can do it because it late almost closing time. When that’s one of the reasons I brought it in the first place. Take the truck back Monday morning they do another alignment they say its fine it’s natural pull the way the road are made for the water to run when it rains 😂to have the tires rotated and maybe it will be fine. Tires been on the truck for a week. They don’t know what they are doing left with a damaged wheel and tow service ticket. Don’t take you vehicle there

Seriously thought I gave this place a 5 star before, but heres my review.Jennifer is an AMAZING manager. She knows what shes talking about. We bring our old car in to this place all the time.My husband works nights, so I have to do all the logistics and maintenance work at the house. I have a lot of experience negotiating with many managers and shop owners. With Jennifer she was very upfront and provided me with an itemized quote. Normally I would spend hours debating about the price to everything because privately owned establishments are known to tax for labor, add the costs for luxury, and even more shady things. Not Jennifer, she gave me the exact price no frills, nothing extra. So the quote for the job was fast and easy giving me extra time to enjoy my day.Bit of advice: this shop is booked solid all the time. Put in for an appointment. It will save you a lot if time.

They will rip you off with hidden itemizations. Its not the local people who are workings fault I dont think. I think Mavis is just ran dirty from the top down. 4 new tires for my 2018 Altima were originally told to me to cost $580. When I got the bill they charged me $780 and the itemization of charges on my receipt made no sense. I advise you go somewhere that will give you a true out the door price.

They put my spare on for free. They also helped me find tires for my car and gave me options for places to get my rim undented. Great service will definitely come back.

Went in for oil change, only one car was in a bag being worked on, several mechanics were standing around talking to each other. The lady inside said itd be 30-45 minutes before the could get to my car and 30+ minutes to do the oil change. They didnt seem to want my business, so I went elsewhere. Maybe they were having a bad day. I usually give a second chance before deciding to recommend or not recommend a business to friends and family.

When finding a place to service your vehicle, one always wonders if the company will say and charge for more than is needed. I searched reviews around town and Mavis was the best reviewed.I went there today for issues with the front end suspension. They found the issue and that the rear shocks needed to be replaced, but not the front, which I found unusual.Now I wonder if the rear shocks I paid to have replaced 10 years ago actually were. My vehicle with 214k miles on it, rides like a dream now.The team there always was updating me on where they were in the repairs.Mavis has a new Loyal customer

TJ was very professional and knowledgeable. Tire replacement took longer than expected, but the service I received from the front desk by TJ still required me to give a five star rating.

Theyve always taken care of the vehicles Ive brought in. Even when theyre busy and Ive walked in, I was still able to have my oil changed and serviced within a couple of hours. The wait area is fairly comfortable too, with TV, Wi-Fi, and a little desk area, if youre like me and have other work to do. I didnt catch her name, but the wonderful woman working there made sure to let me know what was going on with the error codes in my work truck when I took it back after a recent oil change. Really went beyond what was standard service.

I’m always skeptical to get car work done at higher end mechanic shops, but I decided to give Mavis a try. I had a flat tire and just had to take a leap of faith! Well it was absolutely worth it! Service was great! I had a flat tire and they blew me out of the water fixing my tire and charging me an insanely good price! Definitely will go back and can recommend this place to others!!!

The service workers inside were really nice and very helpful. They also wore masks the whole time! Nice! The place was also really spacious and clean. Very professional looking. The only thing I would say though, is that they took a REALLY long time to do a basic inspection and change oil / filter on an 07 Nissan Altima. Could have done this job in an hour to an hour and a half. It took three and a half hours for them. Other than that though, the service was excellent.

Horrible service. My mother came in this location just for a flat repair and they dismissed her and was rude to her just cause she was Spanish. They didnt have any cars in the bays but lied and told her it would be an hour wait and told her to go somewhere else. Thats someones grandma and the should treat everyone with respect. Ill never recommend anyone to this location and ill let everyone i know in rome to never go to this location

I was at Mavis during the week and needed brake work as well as wheel bearings. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. My son was with me and was paying for the work and was grateful they gave him a military discount. I had to return a couple days later to get my oil changed as I forgot to have it done while doing the brakes...well I didnt have to wait at all as I was on my way to the shop they called to say they would get me in right away and they did indeed! Thanks guys!Both Jay and Casper were the guys I dealt with and both were very professional and friendly. Great customer service! Spent 1700.00 on new tires at a different business in Woodstock yesterday and they didn’t replace a .50 valve stem... We we’re leaving for vacation this morning and sure enough it was leaking... The folks at Mavis were kind enough to get us right in this morning and back on the road... And to top it off they helped us free of charge! I’ll definitely be back here for my next set of tires!

I went to this tire shop after reading all the good reviews. I knew I needed an alignment after getting looked at and driven from my normal mechanic. When I went in the cashier was pleasant and told me I could wait but it was an hour plus wait, which was all fine. I sat down and started to talk to the other 2 women there and BOTH told me they had come in for something simple and then the mechanic came and told them they needed 1000s of dollars of work done before they could even fix what they came in for! Well low and behold 3 hours later he came out and tried to tell me the same exact thing. I just had a lot of work done on my car and some of it like, he said I needed BRAND NEW brakes and rotors, where just changed a month ago. He tried to tell me they couldnt even give me an alignment or rotate the tires because my car was so messed up. When I told him I only had 200$ he told me to go up front and open a credit card. Not to mention I could go to any other mechanic place and pay way less for what they were trying to do. They are hassling you and I would never use this place ever again.

I went in today as sort of an emergency. I lack car smarts. My tire was starting to shred. The receptionist was really nice, and despite not having an appointment and being booked for the day, she was able to work me in. What i wanted was simple; A new tire, a rotation, balance, and wheel alignment. When they lifted my car up the called me over. I live on a dirt roat, so my Ford Focus takes on a lot of ruts. She psychically showed me that the inside of my rear tires had been worn past the tread, and there were bubbles forming. She was informative and pointed out that the struts were busted and I had been driving on them. Thanks to this I was able to leave with a safe to drive vehicle. I was also able to add the Oil Change I needed and get some windshield wipers. I asked for these myself. I wasnt pressured into having to spend extra money or anything. She even got me lunch when she went, because I was waiting so long. Ive used Mavis for a long time, and I will continue to do so, as I feel their work is phenomenal.

Mavis Tire in Rome, GA is a great place to get tire problems addressed. They are helpful and friendly and do a very thorough evaluation of your problem. Then they present all your options to remedy the problem and carry out the work in a very professional manner.

I drive my personal car for my job. A LOT. I’m in constant need of oil changes and buy tires way more frequently than anyone should. Mavis is the only place in town I’ll take my cars for the aforementioned services. Not only because they do a great job, and do it fast, but mainly because of the outstanding customer service. Jennifer takes customer service to an entirely different level. Not to mention the entire staff is friendly and eager to help. No small task in today’s slacker society. Mavis is top notch. The next best competitor not only isn’t in the same league, they aren’t even playing the same game.

Spent 4 hours to get tires changed. They couldnt do the alignment because my new upper and lower ball joints were supposedly bad. Then they put my new tire on the spare instead of the rim with the flat tire on it. To top it off they fix that and I get home and the valve stem that didnt get replaced, because they put it on my perfectly good spare, was leaking because they didnt tighten the needle. Good thing I wasnt on my way to Florida yet. I will never do business with them again.

My 16 yr old son came here to find out about getting an alignment. They told him they were unable to do the alignment because a tie rod needed to be replaced (we found out later that was incorrect) but my complaint is that they did not even put it back together correctly. They left the tie rod loose and 2 lug nuts too and let him leave like that. Very unsafe practice and I am just glad my son made it to his uncles house before anything bad happened.

We were travelling from Chicago needing to move our son out of his dorm after graduating from Berry College. We had hours left to accomplish this when we blew out a tire on the van. Mavis was close by, yet more importantly, they walked us through our options staying late after close to replace our tire. This was all done in record time. Waiting until the next day was not an option. Their staff saved the day.

After installing new steering components on my wrangler, I needed to make sure my alignment was correct. Ive always used Mavis. I paid the additional fees for having aftermarket components to have it aligned. After leaving the store, I drove less than 10 miles before my tie rod shifted which could have resulted in causing me to wreck. Upon inspection, I found the jam nuts on my tie rod ends were loose, as well as the nuts on my steering stabilizer bracket which were all previously torqued to required specifications. Thankfully I did not wreck but multiple parts of my newly installed steering were damaged. This was in September. After numerous emails, which were all ignored and dozens of phone calls, most of which were ignored, I find the customer service department to be completely inadequate and unconcerned. The only resolution offered required me to disassemble the steering (no labor reimbursement) to have it repaired by a company over an hour away leaving me without a vehicle to drive and losing a few days of work. Again, they offered to repair only 1 of the 3 brand new components (valued at $659) that were damaged if I was willing to immobilize my vehicle and sacrifice a few days of work... I argued that it was unreasonable for me to lose even more money to have a brand new part repaired at a complete inconvenience to me after paying for an alignment which was also not reimbursed. And yes, I replaced the damaged bracket at my own expense.I have not heard from them since. After using this company for over a decade, I will never use them again!After leaving this review 4 months ago, I have still not been contacted by ANYONE.

I drove 20 minutes one way to get a riding lawn mower tire changed due to an ad I saw on Google. The assistant manager said that he couldnt get to it today due to being overbooked. I will take my business to a competitor from now on. Its a 3 minute job. Unbelievable! Workers are standing around. Including the assistant manager. He could have changed the tire in the time period that we spoke.In response to your response: I called the number and was on hold for nearly 4 minutes just to be hung up on as soon as the call was answered. Thanks for wasting more of my time. I recommend everyone go 400 feet away to Tonys Tire. The changed my tire in 3 minutes and it cost $20. You guys have wasted my time twice now.

Be careful. I needed to replace tires on my son’s vehicle. I had a quote from someone else, but they weren’t open today. The other place did not charge for installation. It wasn’t a huge difference in price, but the man at Mavis lowered the price a little. I didn’t ask him to. He offered. I was very clear that I needed a set of tires and that I didn’t want to spend a great deal of money on them, because the Jeep was going to be sold in the next few months. He said that he would send me a quote and asked for my email address. I waited almost two hours and never received the quote. I needed to get an oil change as well, so I called and a different man answered and gave me the price of the oil change, and I inquired about my quote, because I was getting ready to leave my house. He said that my quote was in the system and read it off to me. Well, the price had gone back up to include the installation costs, but was even a little higher than the original quote from the first man. Unbelievable! He said that the quote that I was given was for one tire. No, it wasn’t. They thought that I would bring my vehicle down and just go ahead and pay it, all due to a “misunderstanding” on my part. It wasn’t that much difference. I didn’t ask for their cost to be lowered. The first man could have just said that they couldn’t meet the price from the other business and then it would be my decision. I probably would have purchased them anyhow, along with an oil change, because I wanted to get it done today. No, they blamed me and were dishonest.Employees regularly post positive reviews for their employers. It happens all the time to make a business look good. My experience with this business could not possibly be a one off. I’m a new customer. They knew this. Who treats a new customer this way? If you do business with them get your quote in writing before leaving your vehicle to ensure that they keep their word.

I got there early, for a tire rotation and balance. Its a 2007, nothing has ever been done to it, except oil changes and wipers blades. So when they took the tires off they showed me my shocks were terrible!! And my sway bars were worn just about out. They quoted me a fair price. Done the work in a timely manner. Hey Im like every other guy, they worked out some coupons for me. But since most of us guys are cheap it could have always been a little cheaper. lol the staff was excellent and I appreciate the politeness they showed me. Thanks Mavis. You did a great job!!!!!

No way, No how is it possible that They have a 4 star rating!!!! They COMPLETELY ignored what i told them i wanted done to my car, after me telling him 3 times when i set the appointment, 2 times when i dropped it off and i very specifically stated to the shop manager 2 times when he called me after the inspection!! But when i went to pick my car up, the $99.95 brake job quickly turned into $345.00!! For rotors that i did not authorize or agree to.!!! When i stressed that i wasnt going to pay for that bc i did not agree to it, the shop manager was rude and said well just pull it back in and put your old ones back on . I told him he better hurry bc Im on the clock and i dont have time for this nonsense... Long story short, they told me i had several things wrong with my car that i know for a fact its not true bc i took out to a real mechanic and they did not agree to the Mavis inspection results.I am NEVER going back there because now my car needs an alignment which it didnt need one before i took it to MavisTire! I will tell everyone i know about my experience until Im either reimbursed or until they close the doorsAND NOW YALL WANNA SEND ME A COMPUTER GENERATED MESSAGE TELLING ME YOU ARE SORRY AND want to talk to me???!! Sold me bad tires and would not make it right. They was so bad they could barely balance them. Save yourself so time and go to the Quick Lane at Courtesy Ford. Might be more expensive. But they are serious about keeping customers and doing the job right.

They had the tires I was looking for and at a good price. Staff was excellent and professional. They actually recommended the same tire I was looking for even before they knew I was looking for that specific tire. They advised it was the best trailer tire on the market when they recommended it. That is why I was looking for it in the first place but them recommending it gives them great credibility with me.
