Sarah, the property manager, was beyond efficient and caring in how she helped me. I called around closing time and she answered the call immediately, and had about half of my questioned answered before I had asked more than one of them! Truly knowledgeable of the entire process, and impossibly kind too. She made sure I had access to my unit, and then ensured a backup way to access it just in case, and also helped me with a quick map of the location! You definitely get far more than what you pay for at this location, thanks again Sarah!

A few things:I’ve had rented here for a while and shortly after the change from park side storage to Public Storage, the price went up. I also started to notice that the elevator would hold this odor of stale urine. I brought it to the attention of the management when the price jumped $15 per month. Yes, a $15 per month increase. The management gave little hope and I began to shop for a new storage location.Today I went to vacate my unit and upon entering the facility I was greeted with what could only be described as the smell of raw sewage. This foul odor adhered to the metal walls, it transcended weather stripping, and made us gag. I was told that it was because they had a transient living in the building but that they could spray bleach to kill the odor. This is problematic as I had already mentioned the urine smell to the management. The level of acceptance in the lack of security, the odor, and uncaring attitude has solidified my opinion that public storage only cares about my money and not the security that I am supposed to be paying for.Oh, and the carts were also “stolen.” I was told that they were either taken and put in units or stolen all together. I was assured that “they’re on order.” I had to move with a shopping cart that they stole from Walmart market next door.DISGUSTING, HORRIBLE, COMPLACENT, and UNSECURED. DO NOT STORE HERE.

Customer service was amazing. Sara was amazing and the gentleman I spoke to over the phone. Made a hard day that much easier. Truly went over and beyond to make everything easier on my end. Thank you for your awesomeness

I really hate that I have to wait for the attendant to get back from cleaning so I can get a cart to use for my storage unit.. and theres NO sign saying when she will return..

Was supposed to start moving in today, elevator is not working, sign on it says to use the stairs, looks like it has been there a few days. When I asked the manager how soon the elevator would be fixed she could not give me any answer.I asked if there was another unit with ground access, or elevator access in the other building, she said no. She was not willing to make any accomodations because of the nonworking elevator.Many things cannot be moved via the stairs, the elevators should be a priority maintenance issue.Now trying to call corporate to get a full refund, and the all phone numbers have the same message saying they are experiencing technical difficulties, all afternoon long.Will probably just have to do a charge back on my credit card.Horrible experience all the way around. Never using Public Storage again.

I rented a space here and the price went 15.00 with no email or letter or phone call so I lost everything in my storage unit when I talked with people they dont want to work with you to make it right I was told I would have time to get my things out and when I did they had put another lock on it before the date they said customer service Is horrible

Over pried. Elevator is broken 90% of the time. Late fees are astronomical. Awful place.

I would never store here again, its nice to start and then they slowly go up in price. When it was Parkside it was much better with better customer service but since Public took over that went downhill real quick. Also have seen homeless people staying in their units which isnt legal by any means. elevator is constantly down and theres a weird smell throughout the building. Save your money.

Very nice and clean facility. Meeting the property manager,Kim, was a great experience itself. She greeted us even before we made it to the office. We looked at other nearby facilities but this was the perfect location. Excellent customer service.

The storage place itself is very nice and clean. The problem here is that our unit is on the 2nd floor. It is one of, I dont know... maybe 100 units. There is one elevator and there are 2 rolling carts. We almost never have access to the a cart and today the elevator was out of service. There is no way to get things out of storage unless we carry things down 2 flights of stairs. Our whole plan for the day had to be canceled. Very disappointing since there was nobody there who could tell us when the elevator would be fixed.

Very nice property and great customer service from Kim and Mary. We recently relocated here and our first time storing. We were greeted with a welcome committee. These ladies made sure we were well taken care and made the process go smooth. We are recommending this location for anyone who needs a smile and a nice clean storage space.

I cannot praise Kim, the manager at this Public Storage location in Roanoke, highly enough. She was courteous, professional and extremely helpful. Once when I accidentally locked my keys inside my car--along with my phone--she kindly allowed me to use her phone to make calls and arrange for road service to open my car. The service people said it would take up to 45 minutes to arrive, so I walked to the store next door to wait. In the meantime, the service person called Kims phone to say he would be arriving much sooner. Since I had no phone, Kim actually walked over to the store to let me know, so that I wouldnt miss the service call. Soon, I was on my way again, thanks to Kims above and beyond service. Naturally, I HIGHLY recommend Kim and this location on Dale Avenue in Roanoke. FANTASTIC customer service!

Is Public Storage a bait and switch? I am. 70 year old moving from N.C. to Roanoke and reserved storage over two weeks ago and was told the would call me the day before my move. Mary from Dale Ave called Sunday morning and asked if I was arriving on Monday. I responded that I would not be able to arrive until Tuesday morning. I asked what I needed to do and Mary responded, “You are ok, you do not need to do anything.” I thanked her and said I looked forward to seeing her on Tuesday. Upon my arrival, Mary informed me that the unit I reserved (a 25 ft unit for $170 a month) has been rented to a walk in and stated that it was “First come, first served.” I said, what about my reservation and for the same response with not a hint of apology. I was then told my best option was a unit on Plantation Road 6 or so miles further away for $303 a month. Plus I was promised that the second month would be free only to be told that in the available unit it would be 50% off for the second month. A gross misrepresentation and horrible service. I had to pay my mover extra for their time waiting to get the new unit and additional mileage. I think I am a victim of unfair trade practices of Public Storage which set me up for a bait and switch.

This storage bldg is heated an ac very nice clean. Requires insurance on your storage unit. I would recommend this storage area.

The welcome committee of Kim and Clinton was exciting. They met us at the door and made us feel very welcome. They answered our questions we had concerning our space and what we had to do to vacate. They offered to help us get a smaller space but we are moving soon and only needed it temporary. These guys are great.

We have had our unit since January 2020. Our rent started at 86.00 a month. It has increased 2 times since then. We are now at 126.00 a month. Leaving and not returning ever.

Please dont be late on your rental. I had just brought a lock for my unit was a month behind, they cut my new lock storage is unsecure I guess every time you are late they will cut the lock its unfair, bad business. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
