The movers were first rate! A real class act, and so much fun. They did what I thought should surely take 2 days in just 6 hours. They stayed on task and were so pleasant. They take care of your place an your stuff. Would definitely love to use this crew again. And the office staff is just as efficient and easy to work with. No complaints on this move whatsoever.

My hunch that working with an employee owned company would result in a positive experience was a good one. Dewey Smith and his team were as professional as they come. I have just received shipment of equipment which traveled from Utah to Virginia. The items were very well packaged. The delivery team were professional, careful and just nice. On the first look all equipment is intact. It will take several days to check that all equipment works and then I will update.I also should note that this company offered to carry equipment separately from the house stuff, and used a crate for the equipment. For those who move a lab and a house at the same time this may be a good option, gives a bit more flexibility with logisticsOne downside is that shipment was delayed by a week, but in this case It did not matter

In moving from California to Roanoke, VA, our shipment was delayed due to a driver shortage in California. Then we called Lawrence Moving, a local Roanoke, VA, company and they immediately solved the problem that the national carrier was unable to do. Lawrence Moving arranged for one of its drivers to pick up our item and delivered to our house on the schedule they promised and their personnel were communicative and helpful and took care of our items and our house when they delivered the items. HighlyProfessional and customer service oriented.

I thought after using Lawrence that I might for once in my life be able to leave a good review for a moving company. I moved from Virginia to California and thought I had picked a great company when the lady came out to my house and told me everything I could expect. When they came out to pick up my items they were supposed to bring a crate that they were to load and seal in front of me. This did not happen, the movers showed up in a huge moving truck which was not supposed to be brought into my neighborhood. The movers had no PPE and given the state of Virginia’s mandate and a pandemic, that’s extremely disappointing. When I got to California and the movers who delivered my crate asked me to come outside to see how badly all of my boxes had been damaged, I knew it was bad. They said that whoever loaded it must’ve not known what they were doing. So disappointed in you Lawrence moving. You talk a good game in the front, but have nothing to back it up with.
