We rented a 17 foot Penske truck out of the Home Depot in Roanoke and we returned it the next day.We thought the pricing was great and the employee was very helpful.Definitely a much better price and experience than any U-Haul we ever used!

1) Reserved a 26 diesel truck over a MONTH in advance. THE REASON we chose Penske was they offered the only diesel truck. When I went to pick up, it was a gas truck. Bait&switch is NOT COOL. We reserved this eons ago.2) reserved 4 packs of moving blankets. They had 2. Again, made reservation a month in advance.3) home depot employee could not legally help me hook trailer up to truck.4) truck would not start.

Very helpful, and affordable. Much better than Uhaul

After reserving the Penske truck and trailer along with a 2 pack of moving blankets, I was disappointed with the employee readiness of the truck. I arrived to the location and they had forgotten to attach the trailer (forgotten it all together) and said the trailer was at another location and I would have to drive another location to pick up the trailer (20 minutes away). There was also only 1 pack of moving blankets. The lady at the main Roanoke Penske helped fix the problem. After driving halfway across the U.S. we started getting into some terrible ice snow and road salt covering our windshield... And there was no windshield wiper fluid in the truck. The truck was reliable and pulled the load it needed to thats why I am giving it 2 stars. When we went to return the truck, our reservation listed a return time of 7am at Lake Spanaway Self Storage, so we cleaned the truck and woke up at 6am to fill it up and drive the 30 minutes to get to Lake Spanaway Self Storage to read on the door we dont accept rental drop offs till 10am, and they didnt even open till 9am. So I called Penske customer service to be hung up on the first time and the second time to be told to drive back at 10? After getting in touch with a corporate associate I was handled in a much professional manner and helped resolve the issue. The truck was a great truck and towed well through the mountains, the readiness of the truck is my biggest complaint.

If I could leave a negative star I would Iam driving down from PA to FL and Ive had 2 Issues with your service and equipment first the guy the tied down my car didnt tie it down correctly 2nd the trailer that my car is on got a flat tire in Virginia and Ive been stuck on the side of the road waiting for assistance for the past 3 hrs which I dont understand why if their is 65 locations in Virginia am very upset and unhappy with the poor service I have gotten so far and I wouldnt recommend this company to no one
