New and upcoming black owned beauty supply store with friendly employees. I await their growth and expansion.

Tried to support this business a handful of times but that hateful rude wench at the front is the reason why I’ll take my business back over to SK beauty. If you can’t service your customers correctly then you deserve no customers. The thicker short lady that was there once when I went was super nice and super helpful but that other one at the register hates her life obviously.@makaylasaidso

Surprisingly a bad experience. The young lady in the front didn’t give me a receipt with my purchase so I asked for one and I’m glad I did . I was charged for something I didn’t even put on the counter . She gave me my money back in cash . She wasn’t very friendly about it. Her demeanor was very unwelcoming. She also left a mixtape in my bag along with my purchases .

Obviously the woman who works up front Dosent like working there or something. I don’t know but that’s the worse service I’ve probably had anywhere !! I desperately needed some braiding hair and because it’s Sunday I chose to shop but NEVER again !

Will never support them again. If you want to close early, change your hours smh. Especially for people who live 45 minutes away.

I’m going to give two stars because I’m hoping the owners are black. Nonetheless, I was not welcomed with any type of hello. Then when asked what I was looking for it was like in slow motion. I can’t really describe it. God has blessed me with a cup full of patience but my heart didn’t have any today. Now I was looking for a particular gel which they had the day prior and didn’t have any the next so I was little upset about that. So I’m assuming the lady or female who has been working there the longest told me about a place down the street ( which had what I needed) needless to say.

I love the fact that I came into the store looking for a hair product that will work best for me , and one of the lovely associates recommend a edge control I’ve never heard of , and it has worked perfectly for me . That’s what I consider great customer service; when you know exactly what your customer wants and needs . Thanks again !

Helped with everything that I needed; a wig and wig spray. Tried on several wigs and even got honest opinions on what looked good on me. Will definitely go again.

NuLook Beauty Supply here on 2729 Melrose has a great selection of products... I have a lady friend who goes here and she says she can usually find what she needs. However occasionally the older lady who works here is rude. I remember the last time I came with her and the older lady totally avoided any interaction with us and when we asked her a question she heard us but turned away. We might not come back just because of that strange ladies rudeness..

Owners were very helpful, nice and friendly. Reasonably priced items, not a large selection but great alternatives. Felt good to support a Black owned beauty supply store.

The girl who helped me was nice but the other woman [the manager maybe] was rude. She didnt acknowledge us when we walked in and seemed to avoid any interaction with us until she was needed at the counter. I was told when I bought the product I couldnt return it but I could exchange it. My hair dresser opened a pack only to realize it was the wrong kind and I went back to exchange it only to be told I couldnt because it was opened. I tried to explain she only opened it and it wasnt used, she didnt acknowledge me in any way. I needed the hair for my wedding and there are not many places in Roanoke that sell human and non synthetic hair so I didnt really have a choice. Feel like it could have been handled better and I really regret buying from them at all. Do not reccomend and will not return again.

Horrible, per usual! I only went there because SK beauty didnt have the accessory I was looking for this time, I called Nu-look and asked before I got on the BUS did they have it! They said yes! When Ingit there she said: oh I thought we did..... Pissed me off because I came all that for nothing. I also decided to just get my Kankelon hair from them because I didnt want to hop on the bus again.... I knew Magic collection was TRASH hair from thr last time I purchased from them, so I tried the SuperLine (3 in 1) collection I said “these bundles feel thin, are they thin”?? She said “un un” and that was that! LIE!! Inget home and open the pack the bundles are maybe enough for 3 braids each! And the owners knew that which is why the price change is from 7.99 to 5.99.So basically they lied to rid the product! This is why is hard to support black business, Customer service and quality is EVERYTHING, being from DC I should have gotten my hair when I was there! Horrid!This review was long enough so I wont go into the made up Jewelry prices! Back to SK Beauty I go!...The nerve to say NO REFUND
