Purchased a gas saver. When purchasing a used car, especially one like a civic si, the possibility of issues shortly after is always there. Although I haven’t had any significant issues, I have not had it long and I will say I have a mechanical back ground of 10+ years so as far as purchasing a used car my opinion is irrelevant because I can fix any and all issues myself. That being said Justin was very easy to work with and didn’t try to push a sale. If they have a vehicle you like I’d recommend working with him any day. There will always be bad and good reviews, at the time of this review the car market isn’t an easy market, but I was happy with my purchase and the vehicle is very clean. 5 stars for good customer service, and a good selection of vehicles.

I found a car I LOVED and I’d worked really hard to save the money for. I live in New England so I thought I’d be somewhat okay buying a car without rust also my brothers a mechanic who works on huge equipment so he knows everything. Got it shipped to me only to find out this car has a hole in the bottom of it and a lot of other damage. My brother first pointed out the small damage and then my mechanic put it on the lift and took a picture of a huge hole underneath. This car was clearly used to transport drugs and all that Justin my sales person had to say was simple, you should drive the car first. Do not go here. I will be contacting carmax, I had to sign every page of the carmax report and found this car through their website.

So I was looking for a special car after moving to Virginia for work. I went to a couple dealers with less than satisfactory results, before I saw an amazing car at Trimax ! Honda Civic, older model, but tastefully modified with a supercharger (!), New exhaust, new clutch from the previous owner. Mel and Justin were great to work with, kind, considerate, professional, and made the process easy! I noticed a minor issue with the AC, and even before they knew what was wrong with it, they assured me that they would fix it before I bought the car (they did, in just a couple days and at no charge!) Although not obligated to do so, they gave me a 30 day guarantee on the AC fix and I delayed writing this review until I felt confident that there were no problems (there were no problems).Mel and Justin are my go to people for my future car needs - they understand the importance of great customer service, and have earned my trust. Purchased vehicle on 10/5/2020. Vehicle was a 2015 Ford Transit Connect. Worked with Justin. Purchase was for an another fleet van to perform pest control work. Vehicle was paid in full plus a 3% fee for credit card use. No issues for the first 3 weeks. Employee stated he noticed the van shifting hard, or not what he would normally expect. Made an appointment for service. Before appointment for service could be completed the vehicle would not start. An error code appeared on the instrument cluster. This was the week of November 2nd. The van was towed to a local shop that our business uses. They informed me a few days later that we had a significant transmission issue and need specialty service at a transmission shop. That diagnostic fee was $179. The van was then towed to a local transmission shop trusted by our business (Car Life). The transmission expert advised the transmission was completely fried. The oil was burnt and had never been serviced in his opinion. It was going to require a complete rebuild and take several replacement parts to make operational again. The work was authorized and cost $4,158 to fix. Due to vehicle down time and working needing to be completed for the business the van was fixed and is now back in service. Juston was contacted on 11/18/2020. He stated he would look into the deal and get back to me. That never happened. Called Friday 11/20/2020 with no answer. Called again today 11/23/2020, spoke with Justin who stated there was nothing he could do. We where passed the 30 day or 1,000 mile warranty period. The vehicle had put 3,900 miles on it since purchase. In my opinion should not have affected the transmissions life. The vehicle had a carfax history with it, indicating several service intervals. That lead me to believe the car had been taken care of, not the case. Since the sale the vehicle has had multiple issues, including a TPMS sensor go bad, drivers side door ajar sensor and rear door ajar sensor failure. Trimax auto should do a better job at inspection or basic servicing of vehicles before they are sold. This one clearly had not been touched by a service technician in years.

These guys are great. Mel was terrific, and went way out of his way to get me into the car I had my eye on. The car is excellent. I have had it for a few months now, and it was a steal. (My apologies, Mel, for not getting this review out sooner.) Trimax was the only place in Hampton Roads that had the exact car I was looking for, and it was for less than the fair book value. I drove their car first, then drove all over the South Side to try and find a comparable car. After a while, I just said, screw it, Im going back to Trimax and that is all she wrote. I took a test drive again, but I knew I was going to buy the car from them. They were honest, respectful, helpful, nice, and did I mention honest? Again, thank you.

I was looking online for a new car and ran across a nice BMW at Trimax. I went in that day, test drove it and bought it the next day. Couldnt have been more of a smooth and painless process. Mel is great, a nice smile to meet you at the front and I will probably always use his BMW mechanic from here on out. Already had the car in for new halo bulbs and they replaced them no questions asked. I am very impressed with my experience!!! I would suggest Trimax to anyone!

I’m sure most people have enough common sense not to go to these kinds of dealerships. I knew better and still went anyways for whatever reason. Within hours of buying a car my check engine light came on and the issue was “fixed” 3 separate times, and never really was. (I drove the car maybe a week within 2 months after buying it. I was illegally driving a POS from their lot while they were “fixing” mine). They would not give me a refund and were bsing anyway they could to get me back out of the door with my car. After the 2 months has gone by, I get my car back and is still running rough. Along with BOTH my ac/heat not working, and a suspected transmission problem, today (a month after getting my car back) the car has died. Most likely being a bad alternator. Chances are they knew this was a lemon vehicle but still would not give me my money back even in the 30 day warranty period. I highly recommend anybody to never ever come here or let alone any other no name dealership and go to a certified dealership. They try to be your friend and be nice while in actuality you’re getting played.

Its really rare to find EXCELLENT SERVICE across the board from the sales person, management, service team to the owner. EVERYONE went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Michael from start to finish is the best sales man I ever met. I cant say enough words on how SUPERB I was treated. 5 STARS isnt enough!!!!!!

For the first time I had a great experience buying a used car, I was looking for a mid-size to full SUV. I highly recommend Trimax auto group. Justin went above and beyond my expectations to accommodate my needs.

Alot of people give this place good reviews but I have to say that the experience I had here was not a good one. The person I dealt with just sat behind his desk and did not do anything. You looked at numbers and you didnt even bother getting in touch with a lender. But instead you decided to berate a lender...CPS to be exact. This interaction showed poor salesmanship and poor judgement in the salesman in talking down a lender. I would not recommend this dealership. Especially if the salesman sits behind the desk and tells you what you cant do. Most dealers with get on the phone and see what they can do. Bad experience here!

Be careful with this dealer. I put a deposit on a car and flew to Norfolk to purchase the vehicle and when I viewed the car it wasnt as I expected and told them I wasnt going to purchase it and needed my deposit back. They said they couldnt give me the deposit back which isnt right. Be careful of their business dealings.

Mel was great. After a very horrible experience with vroom . Com and reopening that vehicle I visited trimax and found a great suburban. Drive off the lot and have been looking it since. My air condition started blowing warm today called them they said come in, I did, they fixed it immediately and I was driving 15 minutes later with super cold ac. Great people nice vehicles so far a great experience. If anything ever changes I will edit and update..I recommend trimax.

I’ll give them a star because they were friendly,but I had problems with the truck I purchased starting two weeks after I bought it. At first the lifters in the engine started to failed they honored the warranty and fixed it but tried to charge me labor fees. A few months later the hub assembly on the driver side seized up almost which destroyed the axle,brake caliper and the rotor. I spent close to a grand repairing that then guess what? The axle on the front passenger side collapsed that almost scared my wife to death when it crashed causing the frame to be damaged now the truck is totaled and I’m out of the truck and my money.

THIS PLACE IS THE AMAZING....I drove all the way down there 3.5 hours from Maryland.... Man was it worth the trip...Mel already prequalified me over the phone. He had me email him my pay stubs so he could work with different banks to find me a sick interest rate. I was still Leery to drive almost 4 hours for a car I only saw pictures of. Let me tell u... once I got there and pulled into the lot, I was pretty impressed with the inventory and how brand new the cars looked ... As soon as I stepped out the car I was greeted by Justen that proceeded to impresses me with there hands on customer service... since Mel already had all the paperwork ready I was In and out in no time, with my new car... it was pretty cool how Mel and Justin really worked together to bring me the best experience, I ever had buying a car. Almost 3 years ago I bought an Infiniti G37. They told me it was a one owner car with a clean Carfax. They handed me the Carfax before I bought it. It was clean as they said. Well come to find out the car had been in an accident and repaired. It was sold it to me before they turned the damage in to the insurance company. So, as I just tried to sell what I think was a car a clean Carfax, I find out that it is worth about half what I thought. I could never recommend a place this dishonest and Im just disgusted at what lengths they went to to rip me off.
