ZERO stars for these price gouging rude owners. Not only are the prices for shorty wine over 4 times the normal price, they are rude and unhelpful. Avoid this place like the plague.

THIS IS THE WORST LIQUOR STORE IN ALL OF NYC. STAY AWAY! ITS MORE TOXIC THAN GETTING COVID. THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS AND WHEN I QUESTIONED THE OWNER TOLD ME I WAS BEING ABUSIVE AND WAS FORTUNATE HE LET ME IN.HE’S ALSO DEMANDING CASH AND ADDING TAX ON IT. I’M REPORTING HIM TO THE CITY IN ADDITION TO ALL THE OTHER NEGATIVE CLAIMS PRESENTED TOWARDS HIM. PLEASE PEOPLE, LETS COME TOGETHER AND PUT THIS TOTAL SCAMMER, PSYCHOPATH, AND ILLEGITIMATE BUSINESS OWNER OUT OF BUSINESS.PLEASE JOIN ME! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Avoid this store, significantly overpriced, in some cases twice the price as most other neighboring and city stores. The staff and owner have a major attitude issue. Don’t understand why he is in a customer focused service business when he has zero people skills and is aggressively rude . Must live in a time warp before the customer experience was the main focus of any retailer. Seeing the other reviews on here it is a consistent problem. Good news is NYC is full of Wine stores that are everything this place is not.

The 1-star reviews here are justified. For example, the Eagle Rare bottle is priced at $150, when all nearby stores are $40 at most. Definitely an outrageous and scammy business that is preying on people from out of town. You’re not running a jewelry store, my man, just keep the door open. Avoid and take your monies elsewhere!

Stopped in on my way somewhere unrelated. Their prices (at least for simple things) are at least TWICE what anybody else in Manhattan charges. And this neighborhood is a dump! Unbelievable! Do not waste your money unless youre staying in the sketchy hotel across the street.Just walked in again today, forgot I had been here before. $22 for pint of Pinnacle vodka. $7 anywhere else. Dont know how this guy stays in business, unless unsuspecting tourists are steered here unwittingly.

Wonderful service, anyone who says otherwise may be more used to stores that offer 10 dollar bottles of piss water (for lack of a better term). Prices are reasonable for quality. Went in tonight looking for a bottle in a $30 dollar range and was led to a vodka that had great taste and a better buzz. Man at the counter was very informative and confident in his liquors, obvious that he knew what he was selling which was refreshing. Will definitely be returning for more great service!

This is a really good place. Me and my wife come here simply because 1) its convenient & 2) the people there are nice. 1 time I went and all the other stores were closed, this one guy walks in and Im getting a bottle of Canadian whiskey he says to the owner the liquor store a few blocks down charges cheaper you should lower your prices I was astonished at how rude the guy was. This is a locally owned business. Theres no outsourcing, theres no taking advantage of people its just a decent business. His store is opened literally 2 hours later than other stores, Its convenient.

Clerk was extremely rude and disrespectful. After he found out that he did not have the size and brand of liquor I was looking for he decided to tell me that if I had any kind of life I wouldn’t be going to a party I would be at work or at home, married and raising a family. Mind you, it’s 11:45PM on a Saturday night. He even said the people hosting the event I was going to probably weren’t about anything and were nobodies anyway. Who says that to a customer?? I called him out on it and he continued to try to argue with me as I walked out the door. He then came outside and yelled at me as I walked away down the street. This business clearly no longer needs to be a business or this guy no longer needs to be there. Just look at how the owner responds to all of the comments people have posted here telling the truth about their horrible service. Completely disrespectful, childish and totally unprofessional. Just unacceptable, period. I urge everyone reading not to shop at this place!

Their prices are crazily HIGH! Damn!!! Explains why they have a lot of bad and negative reviews. I’m sure they sell only few bottles per day... Don’t patronize them!! Dear Owner, if more than 15 people are saying the same thing about your establishment, then it says something is wrong somewhere about you. Stop hiding behind your phone keypad and typing nasty responses to CUSTOMERS. It is absolutely WRONG! I have taken a screenshot of some of the responses you provided to customers on this page, I’d be sure to send it to NY Consumer Affairs. What you are doing is sickening! Whoever you are, you’re clearly a spoilt brat! Stop providing rude responses to customers’ obvious objective reviews about your failing business! STOP!

The woman at the counter was about to overcharge me. If I hadn’t been quick with math and asked her why the after tax price was so much higher than the pre-tax price, I would have been ripped off. She apologized by saying she wasn’t wearing the right glasses so she couldn’t see the price correctly?? She also asked another customer to help me get something instead of doing it herself because it was too high. I saw a stepstool behind the counter and would have been fine getting it myself. So strange.Edit: wow. The owner’s responses to all of these reviews should probably be a huge clue that customer service isn’t a priority here. Apparently they are perfectly fine with overcharging customers. You shouldn’t be running a store with this mentality.

I’ve lived on the same block from this liquor for 6 years and no matter how tempting it is to just conveniently grab a bottle from the only liquor open till midnight on my way upstairs, I will never, EVER do it. Let me preface this by saying, I’m very familiar with the value of wine and good spirits, compared to the other stores in the neighborhood and city in general, and will pay accordingly. Let me also preface by saying, in my 35 years on this planet, this is my first ever bad review of any establishment, but this store must be stopped. It is an atrocity. When I first stepped in the sore, years ago, I noticed they had Meomi Pinot Noir for $45. It’s between $17-$24 in any other store in the neighborhood so I thought maybe it was miss-labeled. It was not. The same goes for ALL of their wines and spirits, that is just one example. The owner would argue, as is clear by his responses on similar platforms, that they offer high end spirits, hence the higher prices, and we are all peasants and homeless alcoholics who should dare not set foot in his store in the first place. Well.... true, there are some unique, high end spirits on the shelf. But all you have to do is google any of these spirits and see how much you can buy them for elsewhere and there you have it folks, or ehem, peasants, he’s tryin to rip yo ass offfff!! I have no idea how on earth this place stays afloat because I’ve never seen more that 1 patron in the store at a time (looking confused and scared), and even that is a very rare sight. There are a couple reviewers who wrote that the person who helped them was very helpful and nice and I will admit, I have actually been back in the store on 3 occasions where I attempted against fate to find something that I could bring myself to buy, as it was 11:30pm on a Saturday night and everything else was surely closed, and the gentleman who tried to help me was almost convincing and seamed nice enough and eager to help. But the lies he was trying to sell me about this $30 bottle of prohibition tequila, I was not buying. So I thanked him for his helpful information and left, assuring him i would return sometime in the years to come. I went across the street to the Highline bodega and bought a 6pack of beer, expectedly priced at $14, which I was thrilled to fork over, to the honest and kind purveyors, such as they are.I can not wait until the day I walk by and I finally see a “store for rent” sign in the window, or better yet, witness the promise of a new liquor store arising in its place. Maybe then i can avoid the weekly 8 block trek I currently embark upon in order to purchase normal New York-priced wine and booze. This is not Mars after all. It’s just Hell’s Kitchen.

-10 Stars if I could. I asked the The lady working there if she had Hennessy. She ignored me and walked away. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was mentally ill and not ignoring me. I then asked the clerk if he had Hennessy for a party I was attending and he replied “Drinks like Hennessy and Patron are drinks for slaves” and he refuses to carry them inside his store. This business deserves nothing besides your spit on its window. This really hurts that businesses are so unapologetically racist still in this time. The clerk working behind the cash register along with all of his harmful and racist comments would be a greater contribution to the world if they were six feet deep. Contact me if you have similar views I am very radical and we will turn this place upside down. Very excited!

Always open till midnight unlike any other liqour store in proximity, small store but decent selection of unique drinks, I felt like trying out something new and clerk gave me nice recommendation (RU votka), he really seemed like he knows his liqour. Was surprised by so many bad reviews, seems like a lot of cheep people here, I lived in Manhattan all my life and everybody knows you are paying for a liqour more than NJ or Brooklyn it is just a simple economy, the rent is higher in Manhattan to. We were here to buy wine and gin. A friendly staff gave us a gin to taste. We tried ... and found the drink quite acceptable. With charming words and the hint that it would be a really good gin, we bought it - for almost $ 70 (our mistake). Now we realize that everything in NY is more expensive, but this gin costs $ 12 in Europe. Later we saw him in another store (near Times Square) for $ 36. Even a wine that we indulged (for $ 25) was also overpriced. Luckily we were not ripped off a second time in our entire vacation. Why do I still give 2 stars? Well, the gin was not bad and the wine was drinkable too. Surprisingly, however, we later discovered significantly cheaper liquor stores. So - do not be impressed by the Sale sign, go ahead and buy cheaper! The owner insults us now as lying trash? Very professional! 1Star is the reaction.
