At this optique, you will meet a brother and sister, Igor and Izabella, who are superb professionals. They are warm, knowledgeable, and generous. They go the extra mile and then some. They are a joy to deal with. They really care about their customers and their products -- right down to the eyeglass cases and shopping bags. Truly, they are among my favorite businesspeople in New York. I cant recommend La Bleu highly enough.

We highly recommend Le Blue optique!My husband and I were desperately looking for a good eyewear shop that has a doctor to do a thorough examination of our eyesight. After various online searches we relied on the excellent reviews in google of this shop.You can imagine our surprise when we realized that their service was above and beyond. Isobella welcomed us and patiently served us for over 2 hours with a thorough examination by the doctor on site and a wide selection of products. The attention and care that Isobella exercises in the search to satisfy your interests is far from trying to sell you what suits her. She knows how to put you so at ease that you end up talking about everything like a longtime friend. Professional and empathic are the two definitions that best describe her. My husband opted for eyeglasses available in the shop, while I indulged myself with a handmade wooden frame created under my guidance by an artisan in Italy. She told me to take the time I needed to choose the best and the next day I came back with clear ideas. A unique experience! with great satisfaction in receiving the finished product. This place is amazing! I was the first customer in this morning due to a contact lens emergency. I was researching online to see how I would be able to get 1 lens, last minute. After some suggestions (bring a valid prescription!), I found that La Bleu was down the street from where I work. I walked in as they were opening and the salesperson was immediately able to help. There were no weird questions, or push back, just solid service. Two other patrons walked in and I overheard them say that they were new to NYC and chose La Bleu after referrals from friends. It seems like their reputation precedes them. Needless to say, I will be coming back here. Highly recommend!

Incredible selection of unique glasses! I have yet to find another glasses store in Manhattan with such a beautiful and diverse collection of stylish eyewear. The owners have a great eye for style and a real passion for what they do. They also are just the nicest people and offer very attentive customer service. I am new to the world of having to wear glasses every day and thank god I stumbled into Le Bleu. They suggested a pair of glasses I would have never picked for myself but ended up being the most fabulous fit for me. They really know what looks great on you and what helps highlight your features so that the glasses are truly an accessory not just a necessity. I have since been back to get another pair of the same glasses made into sunglasses because they fit so beautifully. Being a sensitive person, going for new glasses is always stressful. Not with La Bleu Optique. Igor and Isabella are great. Very patient. Well verse in eye wear and they made a difficult process very easy. I highly recommend them. And the fact that they cut lenses to a custom size is a big plus.

I Give La bleu five stars in every category,. The design of the store is amazing , you have to go in and see for your self . The selection of prescription and sunglasses is huge; maybe be hard to choose with so many choices but Igor and Bella were really helpful to direct me on choosing the right look on me and good for my eyes. I would definitely recommend everyone to get there prescription eyeglasses , sunglasses and even contact lenses from La Bleu

Dont get your eyes examined here! I had an eye exam, and the Dr seemed a little out of it. At the end of the exam, the optometrist tells the optician how she got engaged the day before and has been up all night partying and had no sleep. I took my prescription, and ended up getting glasses somewhere else. I dont wear glasses very often (driving at night, golf, sporting events), so it was months before I got a chance to wear them for an extended period of time. When I did, the put a lot of strain on my eyes. I went and got a 2nd eye exam elsewhere and also had these glasses examined. Turns out she had overcorrected my astigmatism by a factor of 3x. I had to get new glasses and pay out of pocket because I burnt my insurance on this place, but the new ones are great and dont hurt my eyes at all.

I came from Asia, and been on vacation in US for 2 weeks. Always been on look for good optique cause I need to change my frame which i had been using for a decade. Already went in out some optique in Chicago and Boston but i couldnt find something worth it. Im very particular with comfort and style of frames, plus also the price ofcourse.I was trying La Bleu and i am surprised that Igor from Le Bleu understood what i need. I am also surprised with the collection. Not too many compare to some optiques in Asia, but what they have are eloquent stuff and comfortable as well.Suggestion and service are excelent. Trying something new, models, advices here and there. Price is also fair i think, not too expensive. Whenever im in NYC, ill go to this store. It maybe in another decade for me to change my frame, cause i may need Igor to advice me on that front.. :-)
