Outstanding coffee shop. I love the coffee. Just tried the hot chocolate, which is outstanding. Like all their desserts, it is not overly sweet. Very luscious smooth taste. Surprised one can go on about hot chocolate, but this one made an impression. Similarly had a chocolate cookie that was delicious without attacking your teeth with sweetness. Excellent chocolate bars and croissants. Much of the stock is shipped in from France. The shopkeeper is very personable.

Don’t recommend at all, went to get dessert, they have literally 2 things from the whole menu.Walked for so long to get there and everything I asked for the woman says “we don’t have it, we don’t have it, we don’t have it”............. AND... THEY DONT HAVE WATER !!! 😨😨😨

Very nice chocolate store and coffee shop. Very clean and very organized. Kind service and they gave me a free taste of a delicious chocolate covered coffee bean. They serve a beautiful coffee and brought it perfectly to the table. Excellent place. I was very impressed. This is 1000 times better than Starbucks in every way. A small and delicious jewel in a beautiful part of NY. Truly recommended to all. I also thought it was a nice touch the small gift of a little bag of the coffee beans covered in chocolate in addition. I also congratulate the staff for being attentive, educated, well dressed, clean and very cordial. I will be coming back to this location and will recommend this store. Please keep up the cleanliness, service and quality, these qualities truly set you apart in our crowded city of NYC. Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Outstanding little coffee shop. They served drinks I havent seen anywhere else in the city, and boasted a fine array of French chocolates. I happened to be visiting during an art showing of the staffs own artwork, which splendidly captured scenes from New York and Paris. Just had a drip coffee for this visit, which was excellent paired with a small complementary chocolate. Will definitely be coming back with friends!

Stepped in out of curiosity as I walked back to my car from the Dr. I was so tempted to purchase a delicious looking chocolate chip cookie. I did and it was the BEST decision. Slightly crispy on the outside and soft with the perfect chocolate chips inside and a hint of coconut somewhere. Amazing, made my day.

Worse delivery service ever. I discovered them through a friend. First the pastries were amazing. As i ordered more often, the quality of their products was pretty much irregular. Sometimes you will get great food, sometimes you get dull tasting chocolate croissant. Nowadays customers are more demanding with quality.so its a no for me.

Our new favourite French cafe on Madison Avenue!We had the rose latte the other day, with a croissant and two small pieces of dark pistachio chocolate. It was delicious! Today, we arrived again in the late afternoon hour, after our errands. We shared the most delicious drink: rose dark hot chocolate with a vegetable quiche. Absolutely divine!!!We shall come here again and again for more hot delicious drinks. How nice it would be especially in Autumn, Winter time, Christmas time ...The cafe is very clean. However, the lady behind the counter did not wear gloves which was concerning as she is handling the till, money payments and preparing the drinks and foods.Overall, we are absolutely mad about this darling chocolate French Cafe! Prices are a bit high but one would expect this for top quality chocolates and drinks.Please try the rose hot dark chocolate! Not many cafes in New York that offer the rose flavour. Its a very Middle Eastern flavour. Brings back memories of my time in the Tea Room at Harrods.Though honestly, I feel I am sitting outside a cafe in Paris, with a delicious drink in hand, pondering about a great many things, whilst the city is in its usual hustle and bustle.A real gem of a Cafe.

My last time at Chocolat Michel Cluizel was a lovely experience and yes it was pre Covid 2019.I decided to stop by on one of the coldest windy days of this winter. I had just had a lovely lunch and decided to walk from 56th st down to 38th st for their Angelina Paris style hot chocolate.I paid the pricy $7.62 for a small cup of hot dark French hot chocolate.I went to sit down and I was told that I had to eat something in order to sit.I thought that was so (cheap and rude), after spending $10.00 with the tip.The hot chocolate was served on a regular paper cup which tasted mediocre at best. I understand the new virus rules are in effect.But I had just had delicious Ramen soup in midtown and they served me everything on China wear even the green tea.I gave it two stars because the last two times I was there it was excellent and I felt I was in Paris again. Now never again!! Another NYC establishment that sinks ...Sad!!!

They have work to do regarding customer service. The French lady at the counter made me feel really uncomfortable, responding with one word answers or “we don’t have it”. And I was the only person in the store, it’s not like she was being assailed by customers. Anyhow message received, I will not be back. No chocolate is that good that it’s worth emotional abuse.

Cozy, unassuming place with thick and rich hot chocolate of various kinds. Chocolate confections look good, too. The hot chocolate potions are generous given how rich it is (at least the thick dark chocolate), so you might want to share.

Great brownies and dark chocolate. Service was excellent. Ordered on the weekend and my order shipped on Monday afternoon.

My order was slightly slower than expected. I ordered on the 20th(Sunday), paid exorbitant Next Day Air shipping, my package arrived on the 24th. Fortunately, we were having a cool spell so I took a chance. All the freezer packs were thawed and about room temp. The candy and cookies were ok. I know everything is blamed on Covid but 4 day shipping when next day is paid is not good. If I had ordered 1 week earlier I doubt if my order would have been intact. Love your goods, but you need to talk with your carriers.

Wow really a great place! When I went there the staff was very welcoming, smiling and very fast for my order! The premises are beautiful and very clean, I recommend going there! And most importantly, if you stop by, have the raspberry coffee, it was just delicious.

Michel Cluizel is one of the most wonderful spots in Murray hill to get coffee, chocolate, and so much more. Everything is incredibly delicious and the ambiance is gorgeous. its a great place to study, work on your computer or meet a friend for pan au chocolate and a latte. The service is wonderful so I always feel like Im at home.

Ive only tried the chocolate here. They have a block of milk chocolate available with nuts and oranges to buy by the pound that is to die for!! It is expensive ($10 for about the size of a normal Hershey bar) so I only buy it when I really need a pick me up. Tried a dark chocolate bar - maybe 75% - I couldnt eat it. Not the dark chocolate Im used to. It was way to bitter. I had a piece of their truffle and caramel squares.. Delectable. No doubt that theres talent here!

Delightful place for chocolate, coffee, and desserts. It has a small café section, where you can escape from the noise and crowds. When I was there, a very old lady with elegant attire was enjoying her drink and newspaper- it was strangely touching. I had an Americano and a chocolate tart and both were excellent. Highly recommended!

We love this chocolate brand and try to get it everytime we are in NYC. This time I ordered a shipment. Delivery was super fast!!! Packaging was very careful. I was worried because it was to be delivered on a very hot spring day, and imagined it sitting on the hot porch melting and waiting for me to get home. However, the packaging kept it pretty well insulated - even had a carefully wrapped bag of ice in it (that was of course was water by the time I opened the package). Thanks so much to Michel Cluizel!! I thought I was ordering from the Brooklyn location but the review link shows up as the Madison avenue one...funny.

After waiting for 5 min in front of the register (the server was busy preparing an order) the person behind the counter decided to serve a group of people that had just entered the store. I came to this store before and the service has always been rather bad, but this time it was unacceptable. I will not be back.

While was performing in AN AMERICAN IN PARIS at the Palace Theater, I met a lovely woman from Normondie. She was so enamored with our show that she sent two HUGE boxes of chocolates to myself and the cast. The Michel Cluizel chocolates have become a personal favorite of mine. So much so, that I give them as gifts now myself. This summer when I go to meet my friend, Sophie, in France -- I hope to find the home of this delicious chocolatier! 🇫🇷

When it comes to taste, this is my favorite brand of chocolate in the world. Especially the dark chocolate, single origin discs. It had been a long time since I had them so I purchased their biggest single origin chocolate sampler box along with some other chocolate. Super tasty. Unfortunately, I had asked for chocolate with no dairy. The person behind the counter seemed to be knowledgable but I had misread the back of the package and she never warned me. After eating some chocolates, I became sick and it took me a while to realize why. Oops. Very sad day that I must walk away from this place, never to shop there again.

Went yesterday with my fiancée and had the most amazing white hot chocolate we ever tasted. Also the eclairs were out of this world. Go there!!!
