Buyer beware at any Kroger if you happen to need to return anything or have a recall. When I took my 80+ year old neighbor to return 2 bags of shrimp which had been recalled, the store manager refused. The manager’s reason for refusing is because the shrimp had been purchased at the Monroe location and not Blair. My neighbor can no longer drive and has to depend upon others. So I am going to go out of my way and go to Monroe location to make sure she gets her $17.99 per bag of shrimp refunded. I did notify the customer service number on the back of her Kroger plus card. The nice lady explained it’s up to the individual managers as to whether they will accept a return or not. This is unacceptable on a recalled product. It’s poor customer service on all levels. She did offer a $40 on neighbor’s Kroger plus card. That isn’t going help matters, cause I’m NEVER going to go to Kroger again. When you pull a stunt like this on a helpless elderly person, that’s the last straw for me. Take your manager’s decision on whether to accept a recall or return and put it where the sun doesn’t shine.

The service here is absolutely atrocious. Both the deli counter and meat/seafood counters are rarely staffed. I waited at the deli counter for 15 minutes this morning, only to have a woman who helped me the previous day tell me that she couldnt help me today and the person who could would be there shortly. She was mistaken. I ended up leaving and going to Whole Foods instead.I returned later to grab some stuff I couldnt get at Whole Foods and unfortunately needed to return to the deli counter. This time, the correct person was there, but she told me Id have to wait until she stocked the shelves (another 15 minutes). This is a constant issue with this location. Ive been coming here three months and its incredibly rare that the deli and meat/seafood counters are staffed. Their selection is lacking as well, and they are always sold out of many items that I (and others, apparently) frequently buy.The only reason that I did not rate this place 1 star (and the only reason why i continue to come here) is because their prices are still better than the alternative. Ill continue to come here for emergencies given its proximity to my apartment, but after todays last straw Walmart definitely gained a new customer.

This Kroger has a good amount of parking and is in a very convenient location. Always good music while you are shopping. Some of the staff is friendly, others not so much. When staff are restocking they tend to not move out of the way so you can get your items and give you attitude when you try to jump in. Very surprised at the lack of masks in the store, multiple employees and customers seen without masks on. I saw one gentleman covering his face with a paper towel, would be nice of Kroger to provide masks to those who forget one!

The customer service is never open whenever I go up there and its crazy because I love this kroger because everyone is so friendly and really nice to me and my kid. I just wish the customer service will stay open when needed.

Poor customer service, the store is dirty. Items never stocked, customer service NEVER OPEN, the manager should be running customer service when people need something, they claim labor shortage, newsflash up the pay no one wants to work for 7 or 10 bucks an hour.

I love this grocery store, I get to prep my own salad 😎 staff is fast and friendly. They have flowers by the entrance to plant or nice bouquet for that special somwone 😍

I like how the store is open until midnight, super helpful as I’m always running around and forget to get to the store.Prices are great, lower than other stores in the area. Selection isn’t the greatest, but you should expect that looking at the size of the building.Only negative thing I’ve found is often times the prices and sales don’t ring up when you checkout, so make sure to double check!

Every day is Armageddon at this Kroger location. Produce and meat department always low on stock or have no stock at all, of even the most basic of grocery items (like chicken, milk, bananas, salads, etc). Poor selection of dry goods with too much redundancy of same exact items. Every time I go here, I wish I had gone to another Kroger location. It does not matter what time of day you go here, or what day of the week. They hardly ever have anything. Management is obviously unable to adjust their inventory levels appropriately and needs to be removed for new leadership.

The staff has historically been extremely rude. here and Id consider shopping elsewhere.

I have been stuck in Nashville for a few weeks, nearby this Kroger. Ive been consistently shocked by the terrible selection and frequently bare shelves especially in produce and deli. Additionally, there is a clear move by management to force self checkout. Typically one full service register open vs several self check lanes. Loads of beer and wine, but shamefully lacking quality food and service. My photos are from a little after 6pm. A huge disappointment

The pharmacy was great when David was the manager. Since the new pharmacist started it’s went down hill badly. She just doesn’t seem to care. I do not recommend them.

If you need a small market to get the very basics this is fine but as far kroger or any other grocery store goes this one by far has the smallest selection. Always stocking due to its small size so it can be a headache to navigate. Also half the store is upstairs which is lame af

I have been into this location many times and for the most part there is a friendly staff. However, I have noticed a rather unhappy and unprofessional worker there named Kerry, usually working the self check out. I went in to return an unused unopened non-food item that I had purchased through Instacart. After standing at customer service for 10 minutes Kerry walks over and startled me with “you need something?” I told her I would like to return an item, she responds harshly with “we don’t do Instacart returns.” I asked why and she said “cuz we just don’t.” I asked for the manager, she calls and starts telling him/her the decision SHE made about not accepting the return. Thankfully CiCi (says she is her supervisor) apologizes for Kerry’s unwelcome and disrespectful tone and does continue to return my item. Very turned off by this entire encounter.

This review is about the pharmacy inside this kroger. The two stars are because the location and parking. The pharmacy is a mess. Do not recommend it.Both my wife and my prescriptions were ordered at the same time. By mistake my wife’s prescription went to CVS near white bridge. That’s where we used get out medicines. Since we relocated to near Vanderbilt I wanted to try this pharmacy. After 2 hrs of prescription sent, I wanted to check with them as I didn’t receive any notification. At first they said my prescription was not sent to them. When I showed the information from my app, they say “oh it just popped up. Give us 30 mins.” After 60 mins I checked back, they we’re working on it. Long story short I got the medicine after another 45 mins. During checkout the lady didn’t even ask my insurance info. Wanted to charge the whole thing. Such unprofessionals!

I live very close to this Kroger so I normally go to grab a few things. I usually have a good experience, except not as of late since masks were implemented to prevent COVID-19. I went this morning grab a few things (was there for 15 minutes), and I counted no less than 7 different people (a combination of employees and customers) who didnt have a mask on at all. Others wore it only over their mouth. As a frontline worker who takes care of COVID-19 patients, and someone concerned about the general population, I want to address this and get this to someone in management of the store. I could not get to the exit after checking out without dodging 5 people who were not practicing social distancing or wearing a mask. I have also lost a family member to COVID-19. I would like to continue to come to this Kroger, but until something changes, I will be driving to another location and maybe a different grocery store.

This was my absolute first and will consistently be my preferred activity. The assorted variety and kinship that goes on in Kroger is past astonishing. Every day you could come in and play with companions and land your position and furthermore play with clients. This was my subsequent family.

2 story Kroger?! Yes please!I love Kroger anyway, but when you add a second floor, you have a totally new experience.I am a country girl, and I am easily impressed with some of the simple things in life. But I stopped here for a quick break to use the bathroom and grab a bite to eat.Its filled with tons of stuff and is oddly shaped, but its an amazing experience. The staff is very nice and friendly. I love how all the grocery food items are on the bottom floor while non food items like shampoo and medicines are upstairs.The bathroom is upstairs but its a quick ride in the elevator. If youre not from the area visiting, check this Kroger out for a reliable quick and easy stop!

Store is nice, but when I told the lady working the self checkouts the cooler was out of bottled water, her response was too bad. I sarcasticly replied yeah, too bad to which she replied not my problem. Nice...

A grocery store. Fair prices and convenient parking. Went around 9:30 and there was only 1 attended register open and a line for self-checkout. Went pretty quickly though.

As far as cleanliness is concerned, this store is pretty good. All fresh, perishable food tends to be in great shape. What knocks it down a star is simply the limited availability of items (or total lack), and due to the physical size of the store there isnt much they can do about that. Most shoppers shouldnt have a difficult time getting staple items.

No natural section, everything is mixed in the aisles (I HATE that) so it becomes impossible to find what you need in a timely manner. Smallest Kroger I have ever been in, but at least there were 10 open self-checkouts. I also didnt see nearly as many brands and options. Clean place though.

I stood at the meat counter for 15 minutes wanting to buy salmon but no one there. Twice I requested they page someone to no avail. As I abandoned my basket and began to leave they came to me to give some lame excuse. Cant wait for the Publix to open. In meantime I will shop at Osborne Bi-Rite and get my seafood at Littles Fish Market.

Employees are great. Most of them anyway. Salad bar sucks 99% of the time. The quality of the deli food at this location isnt great either. The butcher is always fantastic. The pharmacy staff are awesome and fast. And you cant beat the convenience of this location.

Our lil Kroger is awesome. Parking is hard but Ive never been without a spot. The store brand stuff is great and cheap if youre poor like me 😎 the other stuff is as reasonable as anyplace and the staff is nice

Since being converted from Harris Teeter into Kroger, the selection and efficiency have gone down significantly. The employees are not particularly friendly, but the store does offer 6 self check out bots. The pharmacy is what keeps me coming back. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to fill.

I love having a grocery store in the neighbourhood. Its setup is nice and I can find most things I need here without having to go to the bigger Kroger in Green hills. Be aware that the pharmacy and household goods are on the first floor.

This was a great location to shop at until recently. It seems they cant keep the location staffed enough to keep their deli open. For two days (maybe longer) they have closed the deli before 6 pm. They package everything and set it out on a hot case and large quantities. This is an area full of single people. What are we going to do with quantities of that size??? You should at least keep the Deli open until 7 pm.

I really like this store. For me, its the best of both worlds. Its small enough for a quick run through, and its Krogers. Full of essentials, reasonably priced, and leading brands. Small parking later close to the door, makes it so easy.

Worst customer service a grocery store has ever seen

This is a condensed Kroger. Its smaller than average and does not stock as many items. Nevertheless, its the most convenient large grocery store in the West End area.

This store is convenient to where Im currently living. They have pretty much everything you need.It is small compared to the Kroger Marketplace back home in East Tennessee.This Kroger has an elevator and an upstairs where the pharmacy is located. I found that different but fun.Ive met several employees who were very friendly, one who was short mouthed and hateful, dont let her ruin your day.Other customers....most have been very unfriendly. Not sure why. Not used to that.I recommend the store itself.

This Kroger is small than most and has the pharmacy and similar goods on a second floor which can be a hassle. The selection isnt as great as the larger stores, but this location has all of your basics and a great fruit and vegetable department. This location seems to cater to the nearby colleges. Very clean as well, which is a big plus.

This Kroger has pretty much everything in this small space. The staff is kind and courteous. The store is well organized.

They never have anything I go in there for. This is like a minimized kroger. If you want options and choices or things you find in a normal Kroger. This would not be your Kroger. If your just needing to go into a grocery store for some simple and unspecified then you might like it here.

I found the receipt. .. her name is Therese....the woman that checked me out was the sweetest person and did everything she could to help me. By the tine we we done, I was in a lot of pain, and there was no one anywhere to help me to the car. I cant thank her enough for her kindness. Everything I needed to pick up was easily attainable.

Best pharmacy ever David, Morgan, Paige, and the pharmacist who is a younger man are all extraordinary. Everyone of the Rx staff will go out of their way for customers. Store in itself is very small making brand selection limited however the staff more than compensate

Helpful employees and a much better selection than the Harris Teeter that existed here before. As a bonus their sushi is cheap and if you are there at the right times they will make it right on the spot. Its location is rather convenient as well.

You can get a pretty good lunch here for cheap. However the store is often out of grocery items such as chicken or produce. The parking lot can be terrifying at busy hours. Restrooms are on the second floor.

Its a small 2 story Kroger. If they dont have what you want they will get it. I only gave them 4 stars because a couple of times their elevator was not working. Some items are upstairs. This is my favorite Kroger store.

They offer quality food and service for a reasonable price. But the parking lot is small and annoying to get in and out of. The deli section can be slow, would be helpful if they had cards to write down orders on so you can pick up your meat after you shop. They rarely have stock outs, but when it comes to Powerade zero they often have empty shelves.

Workers are very friendly. Gentleman getting carts yesterday actually had a conversation with me, not co common these days. Great prices

Kroger near Vanderbilt is pretty good but parking lot is small and always extremely busy, deli closes at 8p (most close at 9p). Going to another Kroger next time.

Nice store, clean, efficient. Friendly staff. But parking can be tough and layout is weird, with a small second floor only accessible via one standard elevator. And the smaller store means smaller selection.

The newest, and one of the nicer, Kroger in town. They have good selection and probably have what you need. You can check online to see what aisle to visit. If you cant find something dont forget to check upstairs.

I HATE this kroger! They are always out of everything! They cant keep the shelves stocked! Out of simple stuff like sweet potatoes and chicken. Nobody on duty at customer service! They stopped carrying my favorite breakfast bar and i cant find anyone to ask about it! This place sucks! The organic produce is always gone! Maybe they should order more and keep it on the shelves and they would make more money!!! Unfortunately it is the only grocery store in this neighborhood. PLEASE HELP!

A poorly managed store, especially compared to the Harris Teeter that used to be here. Basic items are constantly running out. Half the time there are no shopping carts available because they havent been brought back from the parking lot. The checkout lines are way too long in the late afternoon because they dont have enough staff. The vegetables and fruits are often awful. Easily the worst grocery store Ive experienced in twenty years of living in Nashville.

The selection is meager. Its the only Kroger I can rely on to not have a few items I buy regularly, one of them being sweet potato fries. They literally carry one kind and often run out. Maybe keep more on hand, Kroger?

I will not be shopping here again. Recently I was shopping on a Saturday night and a man approached me in the parking lot. Said his name was Mike Mont and he was without his phone or wallet and about to run out of gas. He asked if he could borrow money and he would pay me back on Venmo when he got to his phone. Seemed legit, was dressed well, young, African American, maybe 24 years old. Gave me his phone number and email incase there was an issue. All of it was FAKE and he took the cash, never to return my Venmo request. I called the store management to tell them and prevent any further incident and their response was “We know who you are talking about. This has happened numerous times before. If anyone approaches you, come see management inside next time”. No apology? No “we are putting up posters to prevent”? No “we are telling our customers to be wary in the parking lot”? No “we’ve contacted the authorities”? Just terrible. If they don’t care enough about their customers and their hard earned money, not to mention their safety, then I don’t care enough to shop here ever again. This is right in the middle of multiple prestigious Nashville colleges, I’d hate to see a struggling student lose out on grocery money because the community didn’t care enough to prevent issues like these.

Fewer items than a full sized Kroger, but location is convenient to VUMC and the Childrens Hospital.

Getting in and out of this parking lot is not just difficult, its almost impossible during rush hour. There will be a homeless newspaper vendor nearby smoking so make sure your vents are closed. They will be out of fresh chicken, so bring extra money to buy the more expensive stuff. The greeting card selection is poor also.

Friendly staff, well stocked grocery store. Has hot-food bar as well as deli choices. Only thing missing is a salad bar, but with the numerous other eateries nearby, a salad bar probably doesnt make business-sense.

Not sure why this Kroger is rated so highly- I am a regular as I live across the street. This Kroger is mediocre at best. Understocked, understaffed, and all of my questions to staff have been answered by Im not sure or I dont know. Basic things in the produce, dairy, and bread section are frequently out of stock. I always have to initiate check out conversations with cashiers who tend to flock together and socialize while there is a long line and only one lane open. Plus: Awesome location, great regional beer selection, and very clean! However, in spite of the awesome location, I have been making the commute to better locations..
