Here, I took advantage of their beer flight to try four different brews, all of which were good. I had some trepidation about their salt lime lager, but it turns out to be a great summer beer, if a bit heavy on the lime for my taste. But great space, lots of room, and helpful, knowledgeable staff.

Overall 612brew is a really nice brewery in a great location. inside and outside are both nice with lots of seating. my only issue was the beer and seltzer were all very average and the selection is small. also, two beers were sold out when we were there leaving us with only 5 varieties to pick from. it also would be nice if they had a sour. with all that being said, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere is nice, just missed it on the beer.

I met a small group of friends for Thursday night trivia. Casual, Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Nice selection of beers although I dont drink. A cooler of non-alcoholic beverages was available. Also dog friendly and there was several other guests who had dogs with them. I will definitely be returning for trivia again soon.

I havent been here in a while but I have to say that the story from when I first went here until now has been remarkable. It used to be that I wasnt a fan of their beers but last night I had (3) exceptional beers and the bar tender was pretty amazing. Gave us the low down on the last three years of progress and transformation as well as some good insight into the history of the Brewery. This place has a good atmosphere, great outdoor seating and views, and quite often has food trucks as an added touch.

Great place to bring in a group in either summer or winter and the service is always super friendly and helpful! They always have 6-8 beers on tap too which is nice. Four stars only because in terms of northeast breweries, it doesnt stand out amongst the super unique ones.

I hate to give a local beer place a negative review. The taproom is wonderful, cozy, and welcoming. Outdoors is amazing with a deep windbreak and an incredible space, but the beer is only okay. There is better to be had within walking distance. I would suggest sticking to The Outfit (their only dark offering) and maybe anything they have on cask.

Really like 612Brews space.Sat outside and listed to some live music on a nice summer night. It was perfect!As far as there beer is concerned, I’d need to explore that more. I tried their Oktoberfest and it was more bitter and hop forward than I’d prefer.

612 has a great ambience and location but the beer is quite the opposite. I sampled the Oktoberfest and stout; I found both lacking body and substance with a slight sour aftertaste.

Was excited to come to 612 for my birthday but the staff was rude and not welcoming and no where to sit. Beer options were slim pickings. Went outside for their “heated” patio, that was a joke, all the propane was empty so it wasn’t even heated.

Great location and beer taste really good. Also very good atmosphere.

Nice place, use to be an old mattress factory. (From CA this is cool to see). Something for everybody. From the light drinkers like me to the IPA aficionados.

I wanted to thank 612 brew from the bottom of my heart, I had my wedding reception here in October and everything was absolutely perfect. Love the atmosphere. Love the beer. Love that on any given day I can talk to the brewer about the beers they are brewing and can learn what they are working on. The people are great and make me feel welcome. The whole place has a feel that you are family. It’s also the only brewery in the area with TVs so you can enjoy whatever game you are into. Plus soda on tap and snacks. Best patio I’ve found as well. Basically if you need a place to unwind and enjoy what Northeast has to offer, 612 is the place to be!

The beer at 612 has gone down hill. Sometimes more is less. The 612 six was one of the best IPAs in the Twin Cities and they removed it.The atmosphere at 612 is more suited for the summer with a good patio and place for live music. It is tight quarters inside 612 in the winter.There is lots of parking.However, we did experience another customer having their car broken into on Saturday and that was very alarming watching them pick up their windshield as we left.

Great space, and passable beer

We hosted our Grooms Dinner at 612 in the private banquet room. It was the perfect size for 40 people, and had a private bar with our own event staff. Nick was our bartender for the evening and KILLED IT! We cannot say enough good things about him. He went above and beyond to make us feel special. Everything was stress free and simple. MANY THANKS!

Such a nice place to visit. The outside decor is beautiful. People were taking their wedding photos there. We all said it was a place that we could hang out at all day. Very comfortable.

We did a flight. The IPA was great and so was the Passion Fruit. The City Sign was OK and Shoreline was not something we liked. I am an IPA sort so that may have influenced what I liked.

Went here during the art-o-whirl. Beer was pretty good. Live music was so terrible that we actually left without finishing our beers, which stinks because it was a good beer. First time Ive ever left a live music show. Will 150% come back and update next time Im in the area!

Great people and a great looking space... but sharing the building makes parking abysmal, and like most micro breweries in NE Mpls, hard to find seating. Also not a fan of most of their flagship beers; every now and then they make a good Imperial IPA. All that said, the summer and fall bring food trucks and outdoor events with a second-to-none patio that makes it a good stop for NE.

It feels like this operation shouldnt exist. Ive been served obviously botched beer here before and employees seem uninterested at best - certainly not engaged with the product. Just skip it.Edit (response to owner): My opinion on the botched beer: diacetyl. A buttery popcorn flavor bomb. Im sure this is a super rare occurrence but is a pretty big red flag that it made it all the way to a glass.

If there were only two or three breweries in the city and this was one of them, Id be a regular here, and proud of it. However, Minneapolis packs in craft breweries like sardines in a tin can, and 612, suffering from a lack of distinction, becomes lost in the crowd. Theres not much going on here that you havent seen before: its perfectly good, drinkable beer that can certainly satisfy, but will never excite.

With so many other good options in a mile radius to go imbibing why would you ever come here? The beer here is not good, I would say bottom 1% of Twin cities breweries. The space is fine but tends to get crowded quickly and they have bathrooms shared with the building so you need a code. Staff always is pleasant.

Have been here quite a few times, both winter and summer. Great outdoor area and a great indoor area, with enough variety in beers to fit most tastes. The new bourbon barrel beer is amazing.

Fun environment to grab a few beers. Unfortunately when it is busy it is hard to find a seat/ table. Wish there was more standing table tops at least. Bartenders are quick and friendly.

The Shoreline Saison is a must try, fantastic beer, probably the best in the twin cities right now. Staff is super friendly. The Pilsner was also very enjoyable on summer day. The tap room is a great space to enjoy time with friends.

I enjoy making it up to Minneapolis a couple times a year and I thoroughly enjoy the craft brewery scene. I had high hopes for 612 Brew and unfortunately they fell far short. The space is beautiful and the outdoor area was teaming with people as it should be on a gorgeous afternoon. The beer was fine but not a standout and nothing to get excited about. When we ordered our beers the man helping us got us our order and immediately closed our tab. No pleasantries exchanged, no “do you want to keep the the tab open or close it?,” no questions, no well wishes of any sort, nothing. More of a “why did you bother me” kind of vibe. I may give it another shot on my next trip up, time will tell.

Honestly, 612 has an AMAZING selection of beers and a superb atmosphere. I have been there countless times. 612Brew has a repeat customer for life. If you get a chance to stop in try the Unrated or the new Hidden Beach, both are now at the top of my list!

I dont like the location of this place, but the outdoor garden is a nice touch to the odd location. The indoor area I felt was too cramped. The beer and service was okay, but nothing memorable for me. Its worth the visit and I liked how the food truck is willing to deliver the food to your table...but thats their business. Overall, a nice spot for a few friends and you to talk, but nothing too popular like a few of the other nearby breweries.

I decided to rent out The Cellar, for my 30th birthday party, and it was a great experience. Libby was great on communicating what they could offer, staff was extremely welcoming and warm to our large group, and our bartender was more than helpful throughout the whole. 612Brew takes pride in their facilities and beer, and Ill definitely be renting their space out for future events.

Brewery number 12 of my Twin City brewery journey. 612 has a great flight. The only brewery that had a flight that I wanted to get. The Gateway Lager was very crisp (not a term a usually give to a lager), the Six APA is actually smooth to the tongue (very good), the Rye PA is amazing (best Ive had in MN), and the Payback Porter ended the flight nicely. Good job 612!

Great venue for a small wedding in the Twin Cities! As a wedding photographer, I LOVED that there were so many locations to take the bride and groom to get a variety of amazing photos! Very fun venue!

612 has a small variety of beers on tap, which certainly isnt an issue, but I felt most of their beer was a miss.Saison was too sweet. Honey blonde was okay, a bit uninteresting but it was drinkable. Their Dulce Cosita which was a sweet stout had a horrendous off-smell similar to soy-sauce or soured dairy of some sort. It actually didnt taste bad but the aroma was enough to deter us from finishing it.The only decent beer that I wanted to actually sorta drink was their low abv Hazy IPA, which Ive been bored of but at the end of trying beer I didnt want to waste the calories and health on, it was a nice break.Bartender was great. I would like to rate higher but I could buy better beer just about anywhere else around. It could mostly just be a quality control issue.

Standard brewery atmosphere. They generally brew bitter beers. Friendly staff, large patio. Dog friendly.

Awesome space, but the beer is very bland & boring= exactly what craft beer is not supposed to be. Go to bauhaus or indeed close by, beers are much better here. I will never understand how anyone could rate this place over 1 star.

We been to over 90 breweries in the last 3 years and this brewery is average compared to the others, beer is decent, building is beautiful, the bartender was subpar, she needs to be more cheerful and have better attitude towards the customers. Other than that it was okay

Came in out of town and checked out all the local breweries. This was the only one that ruined my good time, the staff is just super rude and careless. The beer was alright but the experience here just made me want to leave. Honestly keep it moving to Indeed Brewing, way better vibe and service.

The taproom is worth a visit. Very open inside and the patio is one of the best. Doing a lot with thr space having limited view. The beer is very standard non offensive. It seems like a backhanded compliment I know. The beer is good not great. Its worth a visit or two for sure!

Hosted an engagement party here for 30ish people on a Saturday evening, and since the Cellar wasnt booked for anything, they let us have that whole space for free. It was the best thing that couldve happened and Im super lucky I picked 612 for that gathering! Also the Mary Ann ginger lager was tasty.

Pretty cool location. Im not a fan of their beers for some reason. Most of my friends like the beers though. They have a shuffleboard table and some outdoor seating.

There was a recent article about 612Brew stating that things were different (tl;dr: we made awful beer for 5+ years, knew about it & did nothing, but now were turning a new leaf, supposedly), so out of curiosity, had a 612 at Vegas Lounge tonight, and nope, its still garbage-tier.I have $25 in credit at the brewery and I cant imagine ever bothering to spend it.I realize this is purely a review of the beer & not the brewpub, but no amount of decor or ambiance can make up for mediocre product.

I am a huge proponent for local craft beer and have nothing but hope for all of our breweries and wish to see them all succeed. 612, however, has always been that one brewery for me that Ive sat back and patiently waited for things to improve — at least from my perspective. Now while the space is OK inside (I much prefer sitting in their outdoor area if its nice out), their beer has always been a source of contention for me.They have made marginal improvements over the years, but I have never liked their beer — theres just something unpleasant about the flavor and how they finish. Perhaps its the hop varieties theyre using, the yeast strain, their water treatment, or their process — whatever it is, most of their beers taste overly earth-like to me and to a fault. I always find my way back to the breweries that I didnt like once before and give them a second shot several months later to see if anything has changed. Ive done this five or six times now and nothing has changed substantially.I cant place my finger on it, but all of their beers have a similar profile and finish to them — earthy and unpleasant. Theres not enough variety to make me want to give them more opportunities to find something that I can connect with and enjoy; and I wish that wasnt the case. And because Im a pretty forgiving beer drinker and am always up to try something different — Im currently at about 1300 unique beers on Untappd — I will give them another shot in six months time to see if things change at all. But I remain skeptical — Ive given them a few years and havent seen much of a difference.

Not a fan of this place. The outdoor seating area is nice and spacious but the problem here is the beer. All of them have off flavors and it shows.

I was here when they had originally opened and Ive been many times since. Progressively the beer has improved and its now amazing. Must try.

The service was great the beers were mediocre. The mild coffee beer is on point and unrated (formerly known as rated R) is pretty good. Otherwise the beers were not that great.

If this place isnt closed and hosting private parties, which happens frequently and without notice on their website or annoying phone voicemail, the beer is decent. During busy times the staff have a hard time keeping up with demand and direct your sober friends to empty water dispensers until you complain enough.
