If I could them 1000 stars I would! My son dropped his alto saxophones and had damaged part of the saxophone. So I took it to Kessler & Son Music to have them check it out. They looked at right away a and figured out fast! He took it back and fixed within minutes! AMAZING HONEST AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I highly recommend Kessler & son!

Had such a wonderful experience at Kessler and sons! They were very generous with their time and patient with all our questions for my son’s first instrument, even though it was just after closing. Got all set up with a trombone and very excited about it.Can’t say enough how much I appreciate it! Wonderful service!

The Kesslers guy that comes to our school for repairs and supplies is pretty efficient, so thats cool.Oh, and they have some neat saxophones, so do with that what you will. Perhaps they possess a horn that you too may use to jam out with the spooky lads.

Everyone was very friendly. He explained everything so that there was no confusion. And we barely waited for it to get fixed. It was a minor problem and now my instrument works perfectly fine. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Technicians are very rude. My husband is a calm and understanding person whose first language is Spanish. They spoke to him as if he was a child. The tech even raised his voice at him without reason. My husband has been a musician for 15 years and has been coming to this location for years. I would not recommend this place to anyone in the future.In response to the reply:You can disagree. But the fact that we went to Samash and bought the part we wanted to buy from your shop, and it fixed the problem speaks for itself.The horn didn’t have a valve issue, we had it checked.The money was not the issue. It was the time. We knew the shop would be busy. That’s precisely why he just wanted to buy the part (one spring).I don’t know if you think throwing your hands up in the air and saying something underneath your breath is an appropriate way to talk to your customers, but it is NOT acceptable. Body language says a lot, regardless of a language barrier. The only reason I know this happened is because I saw it with my eyes as my husband walked towards me.When he was inside the shop, he was told by one of the Spanish-speaking ladies she was sorry for how the technician was acting towards him and even stated the other technician would have gladly done it if he was there.If your staff knows there is an issue with a technicians tone of voice and customer service, you should know this too.

Coming in from out of town I called in advanced and asked about their rentals and was informed that a single month was an option. I landed and went immediately to the shop and was surprised that I needed to pay a minimum of 3 months to rent for the month. It seems like management does not communicate to their front line employees. Would not suggest.

Very pleasant surprise finding this three year old business just minutes from our home. Seem to be very knowledgeable in the field of tuning and repairing instruments...most importantly the Saxophone. I picked up a box of reeds while there. Not a huge place but certainly friendly in offering me a free appraisal to tune my alto sax.

I had to pick up a new flute for my kid who attends LVA and was working with a beginner level instrument. I hunted around on the internet and accepted some suggestions from friends since we are new in town. After a few phone calls I spoke to the folks at Kessler and Sons who were far more helpful and knowledgeable than the people I had spoken to at the other stores I had reached out to. I play several instruments but the flute is not one of them and I needed an education before I went out and dropped nearly a $1000 on something that might only be used for two years. I really appreciated the time and attention they afforded me and they even offered a discount, which was very helpful considering the impact of this purchase on our household budget. I will definitely endeavor to work with them for all of our instrument needs so long as we reside in the Las Vegas area.

I had a repad job on my Selmer Series 10 clarinet and it was superb. It is the best sounding clarinet Ive ever owned. After that, they worked on my 85 year old Buescher Aristocrat alto saxophone. Ive owned that horn for 63 years and played it through college. After their work, it sounded and played amazingly well. In fact, I should have had them work on it years ago because it NEVER sounded this good. The low notes, always difficult on a sax, improved dramatically. Intonation surprisingly improved. Key action was more precise. They are amazing clarinet and saxophone technicians. Even more amazing is that their advice on which repairs to do -- and to not over repair the instrument was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I do give some recommendations on Yelp, but I wish they had more stars to give for this one. I couldnt be happier.

This month I had my old Buffet R-13 clarinet overhauled by Jessica at Kessler and Sons Music for a very reasonable price. The superlative result is so delightful. That instrument is over 50 years old and now plays and looks new again after the great work done by Jessica. I have another R-13 (of much more recent vintage) and a Selmer Recital clarinet, both of which are now at least equalled in tone and playability by the recently overhauled Buffet. Incidentally, Chuck Kessler personally play-tested and signed off on the overhauled clarinet before it was shipped back to me safely by UPS, here in the remote hinterlands of the southwestern US, far from Las Vegas.My past experience with this excellent shop has also included personal attention by conversations with Dave Kessler, by phone and by emails, when I have ordered reeds and other items, even though they were offered at sale prices lower than normal. Such meticulous attention to customer satisfaction is a distinct rarity these days, but it consistently exists at Kessler and Sons. Each time I have had an experience with Kessler and Sons Music in the last few year my own expectations have been exceeded by far. They are truly an outstanding team!

My friend gave me a few acoustic guitars that just needed some new strings. So, I was in hot pursuit of a music store close to me and found that Kessler & sons was right up the street. Within the hour, I had new strings, some new pics, a tuner and was strumming those guitars. Playing music always makes me happy. Thank you kessler for carrying much needed guitar strings.

They have a great website, great pictures of instruments, and an excellent former owner (Chuck Kessler?) but David Kessler is not a person I will buy any music products from given the arrogance he has displayed in phone conversations with me. Dave Kessler is helpful in as much as he might profit from it, which I find very sad. The advice offered is not objectively reasonable; therefore, I think Dave offers it to put money in his pocket.

Sent my Buffet R13 to them from Phoenix to repair a crack and have a complete overhaul. When I got it back, you couldnt even tell there was a crack to begin with and it played beautifully, better than it had before. About a year later, the crack opened up again because I was traveling a lot with my instrument. I sent it to Kessler and they repaired it and cleaned the clarinet no charge. I have been extremely pleased with their work.

We bought a $230 violin from them that was broken. Two of the pegs wouldnt stay in place, so the stings went limp while playing. We tried returning it 5 days later, but they said that returns were only after 3 days. They also said that they guaranteed it for 1 year, but when they found it was broken, they fixed it by adding some product that made the G string peg almost impossible to move. We swapped one problem for another. On a lesser note, I was told that there was a special to upgrade the strings. I couldnt buy it right away, so my ex took our son to get it shortly after we picked one out. The same sales person, who knew hed offered my son and myself this deal just a few hours earlier, didnt tell his Dad about it, then refused to make it good later, saying it was an offer only for the time of purchase. I found this to be petty and sneaky. So, now we have to buy a different violin and are out the $230 from Kessler. I guess we can cannibalize this one for its case, bow, and strings, but thats all its worth at this point. My son said that when he expressed how frustrated he was (btw, my son is autistic) when they tried to return it, the sales lady seemed to enjoy his frustration, and was cheery about the problem. All in all, I will never spend another dollar there.

I came in today to try to rent out a trumpet for my little sister guy up in front said he said to run a credit check before doing so when I mentioned I only needed it for a couple of days. He said they ran my credit under 3 minutes, and was declined when I provided all information except my credit card, because I hate leaving information behind I requested original, and was told I could only keep copy. So I’m not sure if I got declined only because I mentioned I did not want to use my credit card I said I wanted to do only cash! I called another music store actually Two more, and was helped out quickly without no credits checks just my information like I provided this place! It’s a hassle going to this place! I don’t recommend it! Waste of gas, and time! Not to mention he was rushing me to get out on time since it was almost closing time horrible customer service!

Im writing this review because Ive just experienced great customer service from Kessler & Sons Music. Im a professional sax player and rely on the functionality of my instruments to make a living. Unfortunately, I live in an area of the country that doesnt have a good repair technician, hence I began searching for somewhere to send a couple of horns for pro-level overhauls.Id heard of Kessler before but wasnt real familiar with their repair shop. I did know someone that bought a Yanagisawa soprano from them and said it was setup really well. I emailed Dave Kessler and talked about my options and the timeline for the the overhauls. He was very professional and gave me realistic and quick turnaround times. I sent both a clarinet and alto for overhaul. The clarinet is 30+ years old and really needed work. The alto was a nice playing horn but had some terrible dent repair attempted on it locally and was now a mess.Once Dave received the horns he gave me a call so we could talk about my options. Hed never seen such poor attempts at bow dent repairs but was confident his staff could greatly improve the horn. I opted for Kesslers pro-level overhauls and am glad I did. Both clarinet and sax feel and play better than ever. The dent repair is beyond what I expected. In addition, I inquired about getting a new bronze neck for the sax and asked if it would help. Daves reply was that it would change the sound but it was up to me to determine if it was better or not. Definitely not a comment from someone that simply wanted to make money at any cost. By the way, the neck did give me more of the sound I was looking for.Overall, Im very impressed with the level of service and professionalism I received. Its become so hard to find professional level repair service and now I know I can always count on Kessler. Id recommend them to any of my musician friends.

I went to kesslers and sons about a year ago and baught my first trumpet, i had my mind set on a yamaha and the guy insisted i get this solist. so i get and 2 days later the spit valve completely falls off in the middle of a concert. then my second valve somehow gets stripped and it sounds like im blowing air threw even after i rigged the spit valve to stay shut, i clean this trumpet and take very good care of it just like i have since day one but the fact that i cant play through one song without wanting to throw it is getting really overwhelming and i dont have money to go take it into a repair, i shouldnt have to pay for all of the stuff thats gone wrong witht his thing anyways. its a horrible instrument and ive been complaining forever i just wish kessler would have chosen a better instrument to be my first, now im scared to go buy another one(whenever i get enough saved up again) because if it turns out like this im done
