This store is a necessity for the local musician, Podcaster or entertainer. Jello took care of all our needs and was customer savvy. No matter what state the Guitar Center is in where I shop at; they are always knowledgeable about the equipment or any instruments needed for your laboratory. I love the fact you can shop online like any other store and have it delivered or pick up at the store. If you are really serious you cannot resist to not have it delivered to the store to see all the goodies you didnt order and possibly add unexpectedly to your budget. Overall the establishment was neat and in order. Plus staff attention went to every customer in the building! If you need equipment or instruments, this is the place!

The staff was busy, almost too busy, but as usual they took good care of me, and my financing for the used electric was awesome. (Only one thing: why is the guitar so heavy?)Ibanez. I was able to find assistance quickly but when I asked about a double bass drum set, I was quickly told that Guitar Center doesnt carry those by two associates at this location. No one attempted to check online for ordering options. They both walked away quickly. Just an FYI, They do carry them online, new and used.

The customer service here is equal to none. Weve been using this store for the last year and the staff is always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.This last visit they even saved us some money by having us purchase a gift card, that came with a coupon, and applied it there on the spot, and it wasnt even an item they had in the store!They ordered it for us, discounted an already discounted item, and said theyd set it up the way we wanted it once it gets delivered to the store.Very happy to have this store in my neighborhood.

Waited 1 hour to purchase a drum set. Wait let me rephrase that...waited 1 hour to TRY and purchase a drum set. After 1 hour of waiting, waiting, waiting, asking g for help, being told someone will be right with me and watching customer after customer walk in pick up a pack a guitar strings and able to get help to check out just to purchase a $10 pack of strings I finally had enough. I guess those $10 packs of strings are more important that selling a $3800 DW drum kit? So I left. Jeez Guitar Center used to be THE PLACE to go what the heck happened?

Everyone was friendly and my boyfriend was able to find what he was looking for even though it wasnt on display. Very helpful staff but not the largest selection Ive seen. If they dont have what youre looking for, Im sure they could get it so still worth the trip if youre shopping around.

So cool! So much gear!I am taking guitar lessons here and am learning a lot.Part of the fun is looking at all the cool guitars. Most of them you can take down from the wall and start playing!! (High-end guitars have a lock on them. The staff can open the lock and let you test these guitars too.)Keyboards. Amps. Microphones. Drums. And lots and lots of music books.Voice lessons. Bass lessons. Piano lessons. And yes DJ lessons!The photo is of my dream guitar :)

Lol, the worse music store Ive ever been too! Trying to find help and get help is ridiculous and I wont even bring up the budget grade selection of instruments! Corporate music stores are worst!

Its a decent place. I feel its understaffed for the phone calls alone. Who knew guitar center could get 10 calls in 5 minutes and only 2people to answer. Left noone to help the bunches of people actually in the store to buy something. The staff was friendly however. Didnt like you couldnt play hardly any guitars. They were all locked up. Even the 5o dollar ones. Means I had to find an employee that wasnt busy to unlock it for me. Which was an enormous task .

Never acknowledged by anyone when I visited this place. Can’t try any guitar I might want since help is nonexistent and can’t find amp cables. Most guitars are locked.Just realized that sam ash is best place to go for anything I might need that is instrument related

I recently purchased a keyboard here. They can get pretty busy at times but the staff was always attentive and let me know that they would help me as soon as they could. The store itself is very organized. If youre a music lover, you will love The Guitar Center!

Go in there needing a string replaced thats not easy to replace at all. Im out there taking forever trying to put it on with no offered help or even someone to explain theyre too busy to help. I go to Sam Ash with a Violin string needing tuning and not only does their Violin guy spend maybe 15 minutes tuning every string just right. He tells me theres no charge for it. I tipped him instead.

Liked the store before. Called multiple times about renting a set of dj speakers with subwoofers. Couldn’t get anyone to answer all the right questions. Decide to take a chance ride up for the guy I’m guessing store manager possibly to say oh we don’t have subwoofers available. Mind you after I already aired around 20 plus minutes for someone to come and help me. Doubt I will ever be back to this store in the future.

This guitar center has things for sale that are used but in great condition for a fair an honest price. At times some other merchandise can be overpriced. Its best to ask questions when you shop here. There are department salesmen who knew what they are taking about. Generally they do not sell anything without having a sufficient amount of knowledge to help you make that proper decision what you want to purchase. Being a happy customer returning here isnt a chore but an experience to sometimes learn something new from a store representative.

I love guitar center. So many things I want to buy here. Wish they had a layaway program.

Ive been here a few times with no bad experiences. My most recent visit, getting a first time bass for my kid. Ivan came over and saw we could use some help. Gave some tips and pointers. Helped with tuning. Then, when ringing up, hooked us up with a care plan. My kid was very pleased with the whole interaction. Keep up the great work guys!

I’m a guitar center loyalist who buys drum equipment at both Vegas stores because I’m a see, feel and touch kinda person. On more than one occasion I have interacted with the manager Brian at the Charleston location, who’s customer service skills and basic caring remains continuously absent. His omnipotent attitude towards my feedback, concerns, or even other customers that I’ve witnessed his interaction with leaves me know choice but to shop elsewhere. Yep, I’m done with Summerlin and look forward to seeing some necessary management training or change, before I consider returning.

Great works nice staff and stay more stock then the other guitar center

I had to take my Mitchell bass guitar in to have it looked at. After emailing Mitchell to see if it was possibly a warranty issue, they told me that Guitar Center is an official repair center and I could take it in and their guitar tech could assess it to see if it was a warranty issue or not. After arriving at about 11:30 we were told that the tech wouldnt be in until noon so we decided to wait. Of course we found other stuff to buy for my e-drum kit while we were there waiting so it worked out for Guitar Center in the long run. Anyway, after the tech arrived we handed him the bass and he knew after about 10 seconds of looking at it exactly what the issue was. Took him about 5 minuets to make the necessary adjustments and we were good to go. Definitely worth a stop if you have an instrument that needs looked at or if your looking for new gear. All the staff was very helpful and courteous.

Just bought a nice (and cheap) beginners bass here yesterday. All the staff members I spoke to (four total) were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They gave me their full attention and answered all the questions I had. When I had to return an accessory because it turned out to be the wrong one (in the packaging of what I wanted), the return was simple - even though I did not have the original packaging anymore. (It may have helped that the same employee helped me on my second visit and remembered me.) I have had nothing but good experiences here.

Always an awesome experience. I bought a new drum set and the guy in the drum department knew his information. Explained the differences between all available sets and helped me decide which one to get. He even brought it out to my car for me. Awesome place!

The associates at the store I visited in Vegas gave me an extremely low offer on two quasi-new and spotless 6-string top brands bass guitars that I was selling: an Ibanez SR1806E Premium and a Kiesel Vanquish V69K. I could not sell them those beautiful basses for a total of $1300 ... Absolutely not! I walked out with my basses.

Small, maybe covid changed how things are done. Yet, walked through and not one person asked if we needed anything. It is a guitar center get what you get.

Selection is okay. Wasnt impressed with the salesperson. The store on Las Vegas boulevard has a better selection and more attentive salespeople

My first time the man working was great so helpful. Second time had to wait for him to finish talking to the other guy working. They werent talking business . Then he did a great job taking care of me. More like 4 & 1/2.

Super knowledgeable staff. Needed an item 3 to complete a mic install for an amateur radio station and was led immediately to the correct component.

They do their best to help out. Very helpful staff, and some great deals.

I went to both locations and prefered the customer service here. R.P. was our sales person. He was especially helpful this afternoon. It was very busy and he was helping multiple people at once. He communicated effectively and efficiently and we all were taken great care of. I highly recommend he get a raise.

Pretty good selection of instruments and equipment. Tends to get busy at times so service can be slow. Prices are pretty fair. Best part is the lessons. Really good instructors and the price is right.

Henry is the best very helpful assisted me in getting an Audio Mixer board and some adapters. If you are in the are looking for production, DJ any Audio equipment see Henry easy going with wealth of expertise and experience.

Good selection, drums and instruments are tuned nicely so you can test them out and see how you like them. Would like to see more standalone mpcs and the like.

Say what you want about Guitar Center as a national corporation but this location is one of the more superior locations Ive patronized. Though the employees do get overwhelmed occasionally, and understandably, they generally seem to be willing and able to help out as soon as they are freed up. The guitars are always in good shape and the floor is clean. They are fair and willing to work with you on pricing if you see any blemishes on the guitar youre interested in buying. Will continue giving this store my business as long as they keep up the good work.

Extremely poor customer service! Ordered a used set of Sabian Quiet Tone cymbals and one was missing (18 crash) I called the same day I received my shipment, was told to call back the next day and speak with a manager. I called the next day prior to the store opening, was told someone would work on it and call me. I called back 3 hours later and was told it was still being worked on, I called an additional 3 hours later and was transferred to the drum dept. where someone took my number and said I would be called back . Next I called the GC customer service #, she called this store and was told to tell me to call back Monday and speak with the operations manager. I know the store employees are busy but it should not take 4 phone calls to still have no answer. The cymbal is either still in the store and mistakenly not put in my shipment or they never had the 18 to begin with and it was mistakenly typed in the listing online. Again, this is an easy fix if someone would just talk to the person who packaged this order, do a quick online search of this stores used cymbal inventory to see if this 18 was ever actually in this store ever and if it was scanned/entered into the system, and do a visual inventory of this stores used cymbals also to make sure it isnt perhaps misplaced among the other used cymbals. I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I have received from this GC location.

I dont review often unless a place is extremely great or absolutely horrible. The good reviews on here must have actually been regarding the other Guitar Center, NOT the Charleston, Las Vegas center. Charleston location.....Worst Guitar Center we have ever been to, and Ive been to a lot of them in Texas as well as the other Las Vegas location. Customer service is TRASH. I mean, can we at least get a hello in here? Then when finally speaking to a sales representative, all I needed him to do was look something up, which he failed to do. He forgot to look it up and helped another customer. The store had like 4 customers besides myself and my husband. It wasnt busy at all. No excuse for the poor service or the nonchalant attitudes here. Besides that, their stock was low. Do better Charleston location Guitar Center. Ill recommend that my friends and others go to the other location. Theyre at least decent.

Inventory is weak , Sales folk are unattended and unfreindly, I have been to this location many times I always have the same experience.

The store was dirty, disorganized, and the shelves were half empty. The handful of staff were not exactly eager or helpful either. It is also the smallest Guitar Center I have ever seen, and I worked at a smaller one back in Chicago. Still bigger than this one. Im not sure what I would go here to buy except maybe guitar strings or other accessories.

The store is always clean and organized and have the gear you need. The only issue is the staff seems a little distant. They are friendly and helpful once you engage but they dont really approach you to see if they can provide some guidance.

Guitar Center is always a trusty place to grab gear when you need it in a pinch. They have all the essentials a large selection of guitars and other instruments like drums. Basses and keys. Staff there always seems insanely busy. But even so, they are polite and try to help to the best of their knowledge. Ive bought several guitars here they have a food layaway program for someone on a budget too.

Some staff is great .....not enough to make up for some of the others. Waiting is the number one thing you will end up doing here . Either standing in line to pay, or have someone discuss anything with you. I have had some great experiences buying my favorite guitar there but, Ive also had a guitar shipped and come in broken and my dream guitar on layaway that the down payment was not processed correctly so it was sold to someone else. Its hit or miss here.

Always friendly staff at guitar center. Temporary issue is the corporate Covid policy, limiting occupancy and requiring guests to wait outside and wear masks. But since that’s no reflection of this store and since the staff was as helpful as they could have been, I’ll keep my 5 star rating because I liked my experience.

Tsk Tsk! The employees didnt greet me upon entry and were of no assistance at all. He didnt seem knowledgeable about the guitars. A customer was more helpful than he was.I bought a guitar, which Ill be returning asap because it wasnt what I was looking for. In addition to that, I went online and it said there were certain products in store, I get there and theres nothing. He explained that their website isnt updated, so I drove an hour only to be disappointed and walk away with something Im not satisfied with.

Clean showroom. People know their stuff. Salesmen were not pushy (which mean a lot to me) only thing I wish they would do better is give (or sell) me the Butch Walker poster outside in the display case ;)
