I tried to get recall work done on a vehicle and its just a simple 2 hour job. I asked if they had the parts in stock to perform the work and they said yes. So I asked for the next appointment time and approximate completion time as I work during their business hours. They advised me they would hold the car for 4 days. 4 days is completely unacceptable for a 2 hour job. They tried to state that they are busy and backed up and parts are on backorder. Im sorry, but you just stated you have the parts, so dont give me that excuse. And backed up? Im sorry, but if you are backed up, push back the timeline so that the vehicle can go in on the day that it is actually worked on. Thats how proper scheduling is done. If they told me they could work on it Thursday and be done the same day, I would love that versus saying well take it on Monday and keep it until Thursday. Also, about a year ago, I took another vehicle in for a recall as well. Quoted time was 15 minutes as it was a computer software update for the engine. It wasnt completed until 10 hours later and I stayed there along for updates on it. You know what I was told, their mechanics are backed up because they cant get parts for the vehicles. Well if they cant get parts, then they can plug the computer into my car, perform the update, and get another car out of their garage. Queue management is something they seriously need to learn. As a mechanic, this is insulting. Someone needs to find a way to change the status quo in the scheduling and service departments.

First visit was told to come in by 3 pm during the week to have brakes done, I get there and they tell me it can’t be done until tomorrow, they finally agree to do it by end of day so I wait in the lobby for half hour then they come back and say the parts aren’t in stock. So I call in this morning and they said they parts are there and it will take 3-4 for hours so I get there and he said 3-4 hours but we’ll need an extra few hours. They don’t offer any lyft rides only a one way shuttle so I arrive at 930 am and leave at 430 pm for rear brake pads and wiper blades. I work at a dealership myself and I can tell you I’d lose my job being this incompetent. This dealership is incredibly inefficient and something that could comfortably be done in 1.5 hours took 7 hours. Granted I understand there are cars being serviced before mine, but offer decent transportation or be clear with how long to expect to camp out at the dealership. Either way I will never , ever come to guadin Ford again come hell or high water.

After making an appointment and Buying a New car there, I brought it in for an issue. On the phone they told me it would be an hour or so. I arrived early and was told that it would take 2 days to at least check it out. Very poor service if you ask me. Its not like I was asking for a rebuilt engine. A test drive by the Service Adviser would have told me what issue I was having or not. Now I have to bring it back on a Saturday, which means again I have to reschedule my life to accommodate Gaudin Ford Service. NOT Happy at all.

Many issues. The first time I took my car in to get my seat belt replaced because my dog destroyed it. When I went to drive off the lot my low tire pressure came on. I got out to find the tire completely flat and the rim bent. They tried to tell me I drove it in that way. They had the car all day and they didn’t notice??? PLEASE...like I’m lying? then I kept getting check transmission messages. I would take it in but by the time I got there the message had cleared and they’d tell me they can read anything and if it happens again bring it in. So it happened again and same thing. Every time I drove freeway speeds it came on. Well now it finally turned into not being able to increase speed on the freeway to where I had to coast until stopping saying the transmission is overheated. I was passing mesquite when this happened and I almost was rear ended by a Semi as there was no shoulder and he couldn’t pass me in time. I had to pay $500 to tow it to the dealership where they proceeded to tell me that since there is no paper trail of the times I came in with the check transmission message it’s not their problem. I was like so I’m lying....again? A quick 2Minute google search can tell you that this is very well know problem with 2014 escapes and that the tork converter fails and the transmission has to be replaced. Ford corporate is also fully aware of the problem even only after 25,000 miles (mine 50,000) but will not do a recall as no one has died....YET! I mean I almost did!! And of courseMy warranty only recently expired. Thieves and liars are these people and Ford Corporation. SHAME ON ALL OF THEM. I guess someone will have to die for them to have to do a recall. Karma will get then 10 fold!

This is going to be long, so apologies in advance. Im keeping emotion out of it as much as possible and laying down factaLast Tuesday - Gaudin picked up my Mustang for service from my house. Informed me theyre busy so might be a few days.Tuesday evening, Wednesday and Thursday morning - I get a call advising me that my appraisal is ready. I assume its sales so ignore. By Thursday I find it really odd I havent heard from them, so I returned the call and yes, this sales person tells me my appraisal for trade in is ready. I tell him I never asked for an appraisal and its alarming I havent heard one peep about my car.Thursday afternoon - Someone calls me to inform me my repair is complete, they submitted it for funding and should be ready by Friday. Excuse me? Whats your name? What was the problem? And why do I owe $250? This was the first I heard from them.Friday - no callSaturday - no callMonday - no call.Tuesday - I call in and get trapped repeatedly in their IVR phone system. I finally get someone who tells me theyre awaiting funding. I question why Im having to chase this down. She passes me to Ryan, who called previous Thursday, who tells me he will call and follow-up with them and gives me their number and claim number.Wednesday - no callThursday - get told awaiting funding. Again I question why I have to chase this down. I decide to drive down there and speak to Mike, the manager. I tell him the story as well as let him know they did a repair without my authorization.Fri - get a text from Mike advising hes having someone contact them. I decide to call the warranty company. I speak to someone in claims who tells me THEY DONT HAVE AN Invoice. I asked if Gaudin ever called... He said no one has per notes, transfers me to Account Payable who confirms the same and confirms again, no one has called.I text Mike back that Im coming down. That NO ONE has done what they said they will and my car has been sitting, complete, for a week now and invoice never received. I speak with him, admittedly he just caught me the previous night so Im not mad at him personally, but the situation is infuriating.RYAN decided to join in and say that I said to call the warranty company for authorization, sometimes it takes time. I tell Ryan he needs to exit the conversation, he didnt do ANYTHING he claimed he would and him and I are done, Im dealing with Mike. I tell Mike they already got pre-authorization, let me pay the deductible and were done. Hes not authorized for that, I have to speak to the Director of Service. After 20 mins of more IVR time, I go down there personally.I speak with Lisa who really was indifferent in my opinion. She tells me that they DONT know theyre gonna get paid and they wont release the car until they do and sometimes the companies mail it, so it might even be weeks. I tell her that none of her employees have followed up, its been me the entire time, and then she calls the extended warranty company with me there and advises they were closed for the day. I took this as challenging the fact that I called and show my phone log. Again, I dont know her, but it came off as really indifferent. Mike at least listened and displayed genuine empathy.I had a Bronco on pre-order, I cancelled that and got my money back this morning. Wife wanted to upgrade to an Explorer, well go to Ford Country or Friendly Ford for that. They lost $75k+ because of this, which I doubt they care about, and at this point I just want my vehicle back. Im checking now to see what legal options I have.I will NEVER return to this dealership except to pick up my car and I will be posting this everywhere to alert others.OH, I should add, few months ago my other 2017 Mustang convertible stopped working. I took it to them to diagnose and the motor was crazy in price and labor, so I found a genuine OEM Ford motor for hundreds less on ebay. The seller? Gaudin Ford...
