I always get my propane tanks filled here. I typically don’t have to wait. Yesterday I waited for about 10 minutes before I was helped. The associate who filled my tank did a great job and was very friendly. He, however, informed me he was the only one there trained to fill propane tanks. Give this guy a raise or a bonus. If he was to leave who would do his job?

I rented a truck for 6 hours on a Saturday. The following week I saw they had charged me $216 and had a separate hold on my account for 125. I called and spoke with Roger, the manager. He said I was charged for 3 days and told me my money would be back in my account in 5-7 business days. I noticed the next day that they recharged me for the $63 that the bill was supposed to be. 7 business days later I spoke with him again and he tried to claim he did not see the truck on the camera being returned. I gave him details of where I pulled in and the conversation I had with his staff member. He then told me I would get my money back but it would be 5-10 business days. When I checked with my bank, he had put it through that morning, not the week before as he claimed. I understand people make mistakes but the handling of the mistake was outrageous. I will never rent from them again!!!

I usually do not write reviews but this one is warranted to warn people. I rented a van to move a new TV that I bought at Costco. I was told that it had a quarter of a tank and to return it at the same level. Even though I rented it for the whole day, I returned it an hour later with 20 miles used. I asked the same agent that rented it to me to look it over to make sure all is good. I was informed that she was too busy. Closed the ticket on my Amex for $39.00. Few days later, I found out that they have charged an extra $47 for 3 gallons of gas as they felt the needle is not on the same level. Talked to a very rude, unhelpful GM named Roger and he was of no help at all. Claimed that they take pictures and he will email me those. That never happened. Make sure you insist on having them check the rental when you return it. How is this place is still open is very surprising to me. Got my money back from Amex as a courtesy but you need to expect a manual charge on your card for any amount they please. DO NOT USE THIS STORE. You will regret it.

Bought and paid for a hitch kit to be put on a month in advance. I understand parts are on back order but to have an 8am appt and they leave a message while youre driving to the appt is beyond unprofessional. Talking to the receptionist and she said your appt is another date which it wasnt the manager just changed it this morning as I was driving to the appt. I said I didnt receive email or text that it changed and then she sends a text and asked did I get it. A little late to send it while I am standing there. They want me to come in Wednesday but the part wouldnt be here until the following Saturday just baffles me. Lets hope my refund is returned more promptly than their service. I will pay hundreds more than to ever deal with Uhaul again.

Ive rented several times from this location and buy propane here regularly. Ive always had good, reliable speedy service. Keep up the good work.

Horrible U-Haul location. There was a mix up with my reservation and I wasnt even upset but when I was at this U-Haul location the general manager Roger Thompson was going to refuse to let me rent a U-Haul just because I wanted to call U-Haul to try to figure everything out instead of talking to him. He was absolutely rude argued with me I didnt even want to talk to him he was going to leave me stranded there I had to apologize for wanting to call U-Haul just to get him to rent it to me so I wouldnt be stranded.Save yourself the grief do not rent from here!!

We rented a truck. Its a pandemic. The truck was filthy. One of our rugs had grease on it from the grease and filth from the truck. The pads were filthy. We had to clean the entire back of truck once we gotat pick-up & return. The manager did NOT return our call. home. I called DEBBIE from CORPORATE Kingston Pike. The FARRAGUT location has a newly promoted manager. ?JOSH. We returned the truck. MAX was so helpful thats why we rated 3 stars. When we walked out I saw the black mop buck water. I showed it to MAX. There is a pandemic!We plan to use a small truck again in a few weeks. We will clean the truck again before we load it. THE NEW FARRAGUT MANAGER NEEDS TO CALL ME BACK. I EXPECT A DISCOUNT FOR CLEANING THEIR TRUCK. My rug has to be cleaned .The guys working Saturday & Sunday all were very nice and helpful. ZAC, again took care of us. IF the truck had been cleaned we would gladly have given the FARRAGUT LOCATION 5 .

These guys are honest and move quickly to get you on your way. I have used them to many times to count for trailer rent, van rent truck rent and full our propane. They treat me and my wife with respect. I wouldnt use anyone use. My dad used them for years for hitches

These guys are always great. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. I have use them seven or eight times of the last few years and always had good service and equipment at an extremely reasonable price.

U-Haul is U-Haul but this location is awful the manager Roger Thompson is very rude very unprofessional and a little creepy to be for real if you can avoid it do not come to this location

Wish i could give a zero. Rented a 26ft box truck cause they didnt have the 20ft i requested. I needed the truck for 45 min in town max. Backed into a front yard, unloaded, tried to get oht and noticed the tires on the rear drivers side were bald and below standard tread requirements. I waited on hold for 2 HOURS with uhauls roadside assistance only to never get an answer. Called the uhaul i rented from and they said they have to call the same number so no point in calling them. I had to leave the uhaul in the front yard for the night. The next morning i called uhauls roadside assistance only for them to tell me that i would have to call my own towtruck. After getting the truck pulled out i returned it to the facility i rented from. The manager claims these tires are in speck and that they are fine. This means they are going to send the truck out again with someone who could have it loaded and lose control. Needless to say, i still paid full price for my rental AND still paid 150.00 and DID NOT get reimbursed. Be safe and inspect your rental before you rent.

An employee of this store coughed on my dads ID after berating him due to my (hearing disabled) father asking him to repeat himself. the employees name is David Russell. I am posting this as a FYI, be safe and consider using a different store.

Went in to get a hitch for my van. Bought it and came out was sitting in the parking lot finishing up some stuff when one of the Uhaul guys came out and said hey I can make your hitch a one inch drop instead of 2 so it won’t hit the ground. I was like absolutely. He didn’t have to do that. That’s what you call customer service!!

First of all my reservation was lost and couldn’t be found so I had to spend hundreds more to do what I had originally planned. Then, when I received the truck and trailer, the trailer disconnected from the hitch which could have been bad. Then after we finally got the vehicle loaded on the trailer, it had a flat tire. Careless employee did not check trailer or hitch which could have resulted in injury or worse.

Very easy to return the trailer. Staff was very friendly and fast!

Josh was such a great help! We got a new truck to pull our camper and wanted someone to check to make sure it was level and safe.He was so helpful, checked everything thoroughly, and gave us peace of mind. We also got our propane refilled and he was very helpful with that as well. I would recommend working with Josh on anything you need.

One of the most helpful U-Haul Dealers that Ive ever dealt with. Clean facilities with a large selection of available equipment — all in a very convenient location (easy to get in and out of with rental vehicles). Not to mention, the staff here were very helpful and courteous, too!

Josh, the owner, was a life saver. He was able to find a hitch and install it in a few hours. Everyone else, including the U-Haul call center said it would take several days. He made our move from TN to CT a lot easier. Price and quality of work were superb.

Good guys. Courteous, I have absolutely no complaints. I left my phone charger in truck and they called me to come pick it up. If I need Uhaul’s services again I will be stopping at this location. Josh is a solid representation of the company.

I have rented with uhaul many times before and never had a problem until today. They wont let me use a prepaid debit card to get a truck without a deposit and I dont have a major credit card so I cant get a truckI have been a good customer in the past but I will never use uhaul again all because of a technicality. I ended up going to Penske and got great customer service, they worked around my issue and it was also $15 cheaper than uhaul. Plus I got 10 percent off a future truck rental. Ive used uhaul 5 times in the last 9 months and never got any discounts. Thanks uhaul for giving penske your business from me and my family.

This is the worst corporate U-Haul in East Tn.

I have never had any problems from this location. I rent a daily truck/van whenever I buy furniture off Craigslist and need to pick up. It is not like every month or anything but frequent enough. I have been using them for about 8 years and have never had any problems at all. This location serves my purposes. As far as customer service goes, I do not dispute the other reviewers experiences because I am not them. I will say, for fairness, that I have always had a pleasant experience with the workers at this location. If that changes, I will update my review. But I would like to say that I have never found them to be rude or anything but friendly. Just rent here and see for yourself I suppose.

Absolutely appalling customer service. I reserved a truck and tow dolly, and at the clerk’s suggestion, left the tow dolly there to pick up the next day after loading the truck so I wouldn’t have to unhitch it again. When I returned to pick up the tow dolly that I had already paid for, I was met with blank stares, unapologetically told my order was cancelled and they didn’t have a tow dolly available, so I would have to go to a different store and “see” if they had any available. The one who called himself the guy in charge offered absolutely no assistance in resolving their error, blamed the call center, never apologized, never mentioned their $50 guarantee, and I had to ask for a corporate contact so I could get a solution. 3 calls to U-Haul, a trip across town, an additional $55 equipment charge, 3 hours and a torrential downpour later, I was finally able to get on the road. This store could certainly use some customer service training in common courtesy as a move is already stressful enough without the additional unexpected hassles.

I have had 2 hitches installed at this location and both times they got me in and out in about an hour. They set an appointment time and took the vehicle back when I arrived. The quote match the invoice and they had a reduction sleeve on the shelf at lot lower cost than other places. I will continue to do business here.

Beware, this location will screw you over. I reserved a truck 3 days in advance and got a reservation and was promised one would be available when I arrived today (6/13/14).However, the general manager refused to let me rent a truck, even though he had a full lot of trucks of various sizes. He stated that they were reserved... and I explained that I had a reservation.It is likely that this is the worst customer service that Ive experienced with any company. This manager was just not helpful at all, and I feel discriminated against. Perhaps I shouldnt have worn my Godless Glen t-shirt in there. That is the ONLY thing that I can think of that makes sense as to why I was refused service.I had to go to West County U-Haul to get a truck. Those guys were much more helpful, although I should have received free mileage to cover extra miles to get to their location. Its not my fault that I had to rent from that location.I have talked to others at U-Haul and was told that this was strange and that they are not allowed to turn someone away... but yet it happened to me.To make matters worse, I contacted a regional manager and he wasnt helpful either. In fact, he was more rude than the other guy and started yelling at me. Needless to say, I dished it back at him with some choice words that were appropriate for him.My wife has already filed a complaint with corporate and they said we will likely get a full refund. But even thats not enough. In my opinion, these guys need fired! Plain and simple. U-haul can find better people to represent them.

I just had a trailer hitch installed on my new car and it went very smoothly.Josh the manager even saved me over $40 when he discovered my car already had the wiring unit bulit in.This is my second hitch to get there with great service.My wife got her hitch there too and regularly rents trailers for her business from that location and has had good service too . Some times they are a little understaffed but so is the location on Chapman highway.I do recommend them.

Recently tried to use this facility to get a hitch installed for my car. Made an appointment for the service, but was told on the date of service that the part was not available and that they would call when the hitch came in. Having not received a call, i called to inquire. They told me my appointment was the day prior, though i was never made aware of this. I was told over the phone that they would look into it and call me back.....never received the return call. Tried calling customer service one more time and told i could reschedule, but they dont have the part and dont know when it will arrive. Circle of Hell. - ZH

I have done business with this manager and location for over 10 years. They are always polite and treat me fairly. Everything from renting trucks, trailers, pro-gas, to putting a hitch on my SUV. I can count on them.

Joshua was friendly and professional and made sure that I knew what to expect for my rental. I had a very pleasant interaction with him during a very stressful move. I will recommend him to all of my friends and family.

Ok, the reason for three stars is I stayed on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get ahold of customer service. Other then that decent prices and nice people.

In my experience the owner, Josh Brown, was a total jerk. Difficult to work with and baselessly accusatory.

I first tried to call this location in farragut to ask a question about their boxes before making the trip there. I waited on hold for about 3 minutes, with an automated message telling me all representatives were busy with other customers. I waited about 20 minutes and tried again, this time waiting on hold for 5 minutes, so I decided to just go to the store.When I got there I walked into a completely empty store. The clerk was sitting behind the counter using his cell phone. He didnt even look up, much less offer a hello or any other greeting. I browsed the store for a few minutes looking around for the type of box I wanted, in clear view from the counter and at one point even walked right in front of the counter he was sitting at, but I was never asked if I needed help finding anything or had my presence acknowledged in any way. Needless to say, I walked out with nothing but wasted time and gas.If Uhaul cant even handle customer service for someone wanting to buy something as simple as boxes, Id hate to see how they handle it for someone looking to rent a truck.

We rented a uhaul here for a move that is an hour and a half away. The staff was friendly, and I dont have issues with this particular location...however, we were misinformed about the self service drop off. We were told that we could drop it off at any uhaul location without charge but the company automatically assigned our drop off to a location that is over 30 minutes from where we moved. I called uhaul to change the location because we have a uhaul rental literally 1 minute from our house and she told me that she couldnt change it because they had already rented our vehicle out to another person for the pick up day at the location we were assigned. She referred me to their scheduling help line which of course was useless because we were dropping the truck off after hours! There were extra fees tacked on for returning it to our closest rental. Uhaul has a mileage limit and they charge you for the gas you use, so dropping it off at the assigned location would put us over our allotted miles. We will never choose uhaul again, save the stress and rent from penske.

I called to order a transport trailer for my car. Pat helped me and although they didnt have a unit in stock she found me one at a cheaper 1 way rate. Thanks Pat !

Called and scheduled for a brake controller install for Thursday 12:30 pm. I was schedueld to leave town Friday morning with my camper. I was supposed to be notified once the install was complete so my teuck could be picked up Thursday night. After not hearing anything by 3:30 I called to check on the progress but the only olopti was to send them a message. Still didnt haae anything by 5:00 so I called again. Left another message with still no return call. Tried angain twice on Friday and still only option was to leave a message. Went Friday evening in person to check in my truck and found out it had been completed the day before but noone bothered to let me know or retuen any of my messages. The desk clerk tried to be nice about the situation and apologized but that didnt help with the money I lost having to reschedule my trip or all the aggrevation of the whole ordeal. Very unsatisfied with the communication of the whole thing.
