By FAR the best tire and auto repair place Ive been to. The prices are great, but the service and the people are just top notch. I frequent the Farragut location when we need tires, etc...and there is a unique small-town feel to the shop. Everyone is very friendly and genuinely interested in helping you. I was headed out of town and had an alignment and balance scheduled at a competitors shop. I showed up and they told me they over booked and could not do the work until the following day. Since we were leaving the next day and I needed it done quick, I called Matlock. They had me in within 35 minutes and took care of everything for a great place. The lobby and staff were so great I finished working there the last hour they were open.

All of the folks at Matlock are great! They make you feel like family from the first time you talk on the phone through them handing back your keys at the end. We recently moved from California and we’re looking for a trusted place to take our car for a brake job. After reading a bunch of good reviews, I decided to try them, even though it wasn’t to get tires. They did a great job on the brakes, but there was a little squeal the next couple of mornings right as I was pulling out of the driveway. I didn’t hear it any other time, but I asked them to take a look at it. They did, but of course it wouldn’t make the noise for them. They even kept it overnight and gave me a loaner so they could try and catch it in the morning first thing when I hear it. They still didn’t hear it, but they nonetheless swapped out the brakes for a new set to try and make it right. I had a similar problem when I went to get my tires balanced due to a vibration. They balanced the tires, but the next day the vibration was back and worse than before. I called them and they checked the balancing and said it looked fine, but they kept investigating and figured out that the previous owner had put some fix-a-flat in the tire after a puncture and then sold the car without repairing the it. Matlock drained the tire, repaired it and didn’t even charge me for it! Everyone there goes the extra mile and does their best to explain what they’re doing and why. I am so glad we found them and plan on using them for everything I can!

Had a puncture in a tire on my truck that was slowly losing air while on a trip from St. Louis to Gatlinburg. Not wanting to have to deal with putting my spare on, I stopped by Matlock Tire right before they closed and they were able to get my tire patched quickly and got us back on our way. They were super friendly and accommodating!

My husband and I have been doing business with Matlock Tire Service in Farragut for almost 10 years. The service is always top-notch, the staff is incredibly friendly, and you wont beat their prices. We took our nieces car in for an oil change and found out she was going to need new tires and an alignment. They were able to get the tires we needed quickly, they were considerably less expensive than other retailers for the exact same tires and were able to work us into their schedule so she could leave town on time to return to school. I had a low tire one too many times recently. They got me in quick to check it out and found that it was a leaky valve stem, fixed it and sent me on my happy way. They have been really great to answer all my questions and even let me view the work being done (on previous visits, this time I worked remotely from their very comfortable waiting area). All in all every experience has been amazing. Highly recommend!

Went in this morning with a slow leak from a tire that was “plugged” 3 years ago when we were at the beach. Matlock pulled the plug, patched the tire from the inside and charged me NOTHING. All I was asked for was a good word. Great people, great atmosphere, great service. Customer for life.

Awesome people. Needed a window switch, window was stuck in down position. New switch was very expensive. Employees worked hard to get it working without the purchase of the new switch. Going above and beyond, honest people at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for!

Long story short, we had a trip from Florida back to Ohio and unfortunately blew out a tire in Knoxville, Tennessee with no spare worth using. Luckily Matlock was not only able to replace the main, but as well as the spare immediately and had us back on the road in less than an hour! Outstanding service, this place definitely has my recommendation!

I wont take my car anywhere else, and you shouldnt either.My wife took our car in because we had a screw in the middle of a tire on her brand new car, and we were in town from Chattanooga just for the day. The Hardin Valley location was absolutely slammed when my wife went in. She talked to the owner personally, and he asked her to take it to the other location where he would make sure they got it fixed for her. As she arrived at the other location, Mr. Matlock was on the phone with them about my wife coming over.Even though they were slammed and having to ask people calling in to come in the next day, they got her car in and out in under an hour. When she went to pay, they said No charge. I was shocked and amazed. Its hard to find businesses that operate with this level of service and commitment.If you need car service, Matlock should be where you go.

I had to get a new tire and was in a bind since I was traveling out of town the next day. I called in the morning and had my tires by 130 in the afternoon the same day which was amazing since MANY places do not even carry or order my size tire. I have had nothing but great service from Matlock and have not gone anywhere since!

Absolutely the best customer service I have ever had in an automotive/tire shop. I stopped by to get a couple lawn mower tractor tires replaced. From the moment I stepped through the doors I was treated like an old friend. Everyone was incredibly friendly and super helpful. It was almost like a NASCAR pit stop. Once they identified what I needed done, someone went and grabbed the tires from my truck. Meanwhile, they were talking to me inside. I am new to the area and took a chance on going here after a flat tire and was completely “Wowed”. From start to finish they took care of me and treated me as family. I had a flat tire and they were able to patch it and have me back to work in 30 min. If that was not impressive enough, they did not even charge me!! Yes you read that right. My daughter got a nail in her tire going from Cleveland the Knoxville. Had to leave her car in Knoxville overnight.They didn’t charge me a dollar and they even filled up her tank with gas.Don’t go anywhere else. These guys are amazing. I even insisted on paying for it. Car completely died on the interstate and had it towed to Matlock. They were incredibly professional and polite and resolved my issue which turned out to be the alternator/battery and some hoses. Definitely will use again and would recommend.

Not the cheapest place in town, but you really get what you pay for at Matlock. I mostly use them for repairs. They do a good job, and stand behind their work. That only matters if they are still in business if a repair fails. They will still be in business because they do such good work that its done right the first time.

I unexpectedly had a screw puncture my tire while traveling through Knoxville. I stopped at this tire shop to have the tire patched and I had an absolutely amazing experience. Mike at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional, and they took my car back for repair quickly so that I could continue my trip to PA in a timely manner. The service center is also super large and very comfortable. The layout almost reminded me of a country club clubhouse versus the typical auto shop waiting area. If in the Knoxville area and in need of a car repair, I highly recommend Matlock! Extremely friendly and professional service!

Brought car in without an appointment, was taken in immediately, once problem and fix were determined we were called to explain the issue. Repair was made promptly. The entire process was less than 3 hours and the bill was less than the estimate. Premises are immaculate! We will be back!

If you live in Tennessee you should never use any other vendor!My wife and I and our 80 pound Golden Retriever were heading north to MI from winter in Florida when our front tire was losing air. We originally thought this was a minor slow leak issue, but warning messages were indicating we had a problem that was going to require repair, not a quick air re-fill. It was getting late in the day so we did a “google” search for tire repair in Knoxville area. Found Matlock Tire Service & Repair was an easy exit from Interstate 75/40.The owner offered to help us immediately and as soon as he could he squeezed our very packed SUV in the bay for service. The staff made sure we were comfortable during our wait and less than 40 minutes later we were on our way toward our overnight destination.We are so satisfied that if we ever need tire replacements, we will try to time our purchase sound our annual trek to Florida and buy them from Matlock Tire Service.

I drove an hour to have my front brakes changed, and when they put my wheels back on, they only hand-tightened the driver-side lug nuts. My wheel didn’t really start making a noise until the next day. I took my car to Walmart two days later, and they torqued all the lug nuts on my vehicle. This could have been a disaster.

They are so kind and helpful and go above and beyond here! Each time I come in I have a great experience and today was no different. I know when I come to Matlock they are going to take good care of me.

My errand-running was thwarted by a thudding sound as I drove which turned out to be a HUGE screw sticking out of my tire. Heading home to Nashville, got a nail on I75 just north of Sweetwater. Pulled into the Lenoir City location about 1pm today needing a plug-my pressure indicator had dropped to 10 psi as we made it to Matlock’s.. I was told that they could get to it by 6pm. Was completely bummed, my wife is in a full leg boot from breaking her foot and we were coming home from spending a week away. You can imagine wanting to get home, I must of looked frantic. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name that waited on us but what a savior! He loaned us a car to go get lunch (hadn’t eaten yet today) and called me at 2:20pm to let me know my car was ready! Less than !.5 hours later! With all that said, the plug was installed at no charge! After refusing a tip several times, and my insistence, he said he’d give it to the guys in back that did my car. Thank you Matlock’s!

I went in to get a u joint replaced. They said i need a new hub and u-joint. The quote was $1,130 plus another $330 for fuel filters. I told them i was going to another shop (they will do the same work for $450. All of it).Matlock charged me a undisclosed $54 diagnosis fee, before they would give my keys back. I’ll never go back.Edit: They have absolutely not been trying to reach me.

As someone new to the Knoxville area, I was nervous to find an honest mechanic who would not try to tell me I needed unnecessary work done to my vehicle. The employees at Matlock were friendly, efficient, and transparent. I took my car in to find out what was causing shone shaking in the front end. I did not have an appointment and was told I needed an appointment to diagnose any problem with the suspension or as I believed it to be the wheel Bearing. I was scheduled for an appointment, but they happily looked at it on the spot and discovered my tires were out of balance and I had a nail in my tire. They fixed the tire free of charge and balanced my tires for me on the spot. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I have an appointment to check the wheel bearings tomorrow, but I could not be happier with the courtesy and honesty I received today!

They got me in early and were super professional. I needed 2 tires and I thought brake pads but they informed me that my brakes were just fine despite what the dealership said. 🙄. I have been going to Matlock Tire for MANY years and each time I’m there they always go above and beyond any expectation I could imagine.I had a nail in my tire and had been driving on my donut tire for weeks, I was beyond stressed about getting it fixed. I am extremely busy and couldn’t find time until today. I got there right as the bat was closing. I was asked to leave my tire and it would be ready the next day for me. (More stress). When I drove around to the bay to drop my tire off I was approached by a service tech who told me it would be 20mins. I told him, “you all have to go home, I was just dropping my tire off” ( I know when you’re ready to go home, you’re ready to go home 😀). He told me not to worry about it he would fix it for me..I left the with my tire patched. I could not believe the selflessness he displayed to helping me.I cannot recommend Matlock enough !!!The most honest business I know of. You will NOT be disappointed.😀😀

Had the hose replaced on my car picked it up an hose came off from engine. It fixed but when I picked it up there was very little antifreeze in the radiator overflow bottle. Seems odd. No discount for my trouble.

I think this is particularly important in the auto maintenance and repair business. Matlock has earned my trust and I truly believe that they only recommend service that is needed. They are very friendly and do a great job. I highly recommend them for your automotive needs. They might not be the cheapest place around, but you get what you pay for.

What an amazing company! I got a big bolt in my rear tire right around closing time for them. I had just gotten new tires a few months ago at Matlock, so I ran it over right when it happened. I didn’t catch her name but not only was the woman up front a beyond nice but let me leave my car for them to fix first thing in the morning and they did it complimentary! I will continue to always come here and encourage anyone else to also. Never one bad experience here and I can’t say the same for other places. GREAT PEOPLE AND GREAT SERVICE.
