This mechanic is very honest. Another local shop called Free Service Tire and Auto Center charged a large amount to fix the air the best they could. The owner at Hofker Auto in turn truly fixed the AC for a lot less than the other shop. Im glad to have found an honest mechanic finally.

My family was on vacation in Knoxville when a combination of trouble lights came on our dash. Gary and his team were able to squeeze us into his tight schedule and perform the repairs speedily and at a very affordable price. I wish he was located here in my hometown. Excellent service!!

Gary took my Chevy Express van in on a bit of a whim. When I called, I informed him that there had been mishap with my the last mechanic, and my Van was on a tow truck now!He told me to tell the tow driver to deliver it to his lot. I had three problems total. He fixed it in good time—prices on point. Will be taking my detailing van back.

Great shop- have used them for minor things up to a total engine replacement over the past five years. Very honest, skillful and fair pricing. You cant go wrong. I drive 45 minutes- past many other shops- and have never gotten anything other than the best service with no unexpected surprises. These are real mechanics, not simple technicians who merely swap out parts.

Super nice guy. Good shop for the basics I might not recommend for intricate engine work. Had them look at my car $150 later they had no clue what was wrong.

Ive always been happy with the work done on my car. Besides actual repairs done, Ive had my car in twice to see what might be wrong. The first time, nothing found. Second time, they found the issue but it wasnt urgent. Neither time did he charge me for just looking at it. Its best to call ahead for an appt, because they are very busy almost all the time.

Mr. Hofker took care of my truck the whole time I owned it. He is honest and does the job right the first time!

Horrific customer service, go somewhere else! I called this place when my child broke down out of state and Gary answered the phone. I asked to speak with an owner to explain the situation and he slammed the phone down in my ear...so much for Southern hospitality!

This is a great shop where they will not take advantage of you. I have been using Gary at Hofker Automotive since 2007 after trying a few other shops and wont go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Sent my daughter to him because her car wouldnt start. He could have said she needed a new battery or alternator but he was honest and told her she somehow ran the battery down. No charge. Later I told her, Thats your mechanic while youre in college!
