Whats not to love about this place?! The Cuban latte is perfect, and so is the horchata latte. On top of that, they have wonderful music and art! I absolutely cant wait to come back!

Going to be here for the afternoon, and Im getting excited. Everything I want in a coffeeshop: tables to work, power outlets, low key vibe, instrumental audio, lounging, second story view, great local art showing on the walls, and a brilliant tea.

Super friendly staff. Good espresso. Felt safe during these times. Charming little upstairs shop who spin vinyl all day on the turntables. They also have two crates of various genres of records to sell. Good quality of selections too. The record aspect goes a long way with me.

Great personal service directly from the owner. Plus open during the pandemic. Quaint, bright, tables, couch, art, and music from vinyl to a piano.

Friendly, helpful, relaxing music, and art exhibitions too.

I loved the incredibly comfortable vintage theme - records for sale, local artwork on display, and a turn table hooked up to a great sound system.

Amazingly friendly and patient service. Drinks are pretty simple and mildly flavored...which is a nice break from the overloaded drinks most other places serve. Very quiet when we went. Records selection for purchase and some games to enjoy.

I work across the street at Q39, and with all the chaos there, Downbeat has become my Oasis of peace and caffiene during my breaks. The lady there is always nice and please, and works miracles with tea. If you get the chance to stop by, definitely do so! Absolutely worth every penny!!

More than just a coffee shop. They have great coffee and offer great events like live music, movies, art nights etc...

Such a great experience. Coffee was made to perfection. All natural ingredients was a plus. Hands down, the best Chai Latte ever! If you want a cool place to sit, drink coffee and listen to some mellow jazz, this is the place.

My favorite coffee shop, besides my kitchen anyways, my 2nd favorite barrister only 2nd to the fact I have to get out of bed and the house to get it. 1st favorite is only favorite because the coffee sometimes come to me in bed, if I can move my bed into Downbeat then theres no competition at all.You want to hear something you will never hear from a chain coffee shop? I had never had Cuban style coffee before, and I tried the Cuban latte. It was awesome! Great atmosphere, free events, and Emily is really cool! Ill definitely be dropping by more, and if you want more from your coffee, this is your place!

This place rules and they have a good doggo and good music and the cuban latte is good but if I end up there again I want it extra sweet

Really cool vibe to this place - its a bit hard to find (on the second floor) and the owner recently moved to this location so its got some space to grow into, but this coffeeshop has a great laid-back feel to it. Nice music, really tasty cuban latte, and really friendly people.
