Came here in a Saturday morning, it was busy, but still able to find an open table to sit at. Ordering is via walk up and food is brought to your table. We ordered two savory crepes and a sweet one, in addition to the lobster bisque and lattes. They arent lying when they say the bisque is the best in KC, maybe better than anything outside Boston (or Seinfeld). Everything else was equally amazing and will definitely make sure to return when we’re in town.
I love Chez Elle Crêperie! I have been there twice now and can’t wait to go back! Their crêpes are divine. So beautifully presented and they taste amazing! The also have fantastic quiches if you like savory more than sweet. The staff was so friendly and sweet. Whenever we had a question, they were just perfect helping us out. I siento the first time with my family and then the next time I brought a friend because I was incredibly impressed. It is decorated so cutely. You can eat inside or outside. They also have smoothies and hot chocolate which are both so good! If you are ever in the Kansas City you must visit Chez Elle Crêperie and Coffeehouse!
Best crepes in KC. I love this place. They have authentic french crepes of different flavors. Savory, sweet and breakfast option. Specialty coffees: hot and iced, smoothies and soft drinks. They use fresh ingredients and food had good flavor. Beautiful french like decoration and ambiental french music. Also the building where they are at its and old historical place, it has a unique vibe. Perfect to hang out with girl friends or to have a cute informal date.
Whether you get a sweet or savory crepe, you cant go wrong. Ive tried many of them and liked them all! The location of the building and atmosphere inside couldnt be more perfect. Ive been eating here for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Id highly recommend it to anyone who has no health or dietary restrictions from the type of food offered here. LOVE IT!
I ordered Breakfast Crepes. They did not look or taste like crepes. They looked and tastex like thin pancakes drenched on syrup. I was not pleased. It was too sweet and spongelike. I did not eat it.The best feature of this restaurant was the French themed decor. The menu did not feature much variety. The service was very tepid. I left to walk up to the restaurant I had originally planned to dine at!
The interior has been remodeled and better IMO. It is definitely more Parisian than before. I appreciated that the espresso had a different profile from others. Definitely will be back.
Very busy Sunday morning, but they kept the food coming pretty quickly. The crepes I had were perfectly delicious, the tea was fresh and hot and the atmosphere was very French! Reasonably priced for great food!
Very good crepes! A little pricey ($10 per crepe), but it’ll fill you up. With friends I tried the tour Eiffel, an enchilada one with salsa verde, philly cheese, and pumpkin and they were all really amazing. Their vanilla iced coffee was good too, not bitter at all. Good outdoor seating with cute birds. I would love an option to get 2 smaller crepes of different flavors since they have so many good options!
My wife and I split one crepe for dinner, another for dessert. Both were delicious. Dont remember which ones we got. Doesnt matter. They all looked great
If youre reading this, just go ahead and go. Great food!
Ate here yesterday and loved my crepes! It was fresh and delicious and I will be back. My only complaint was the service. The restaurant was hardly occupied, but it took almost 30 minutes for my crepes to be served. But otherwise, the food was wonderful!
You can find good things on the menu—my husband enjoyed his crepe. But don’t go expecting authentic French crepes. I think this is an honest place and have respect for the owners, but they would do well by using real eggs, good cheese, and the light crepe for sucré and the buckwheat for savory. My breakfast cheese and egg made me feel nauseous, but my husband enjoyed his crepe from the regular menu. I think it depends on what you order and on your expectations.
Delicious crêpes! And a nice outdoor seating area, too. Would absolutely stop here again when in the area. Only issue encountered was that the person who took our order was not very friendly.
Absolute fabulous crepes, and they can make them all gluten free! I definitely recommend this place!
Chez Elle has a lovely atmosphere of Paris! The food is yummy! However, I feel its a little over priced. I also wish Chez Elle would expand so to a place that allows more outdoor seating! This place is always busy.Overall its a great experience!
Huge selection of different crepes, both savory and sweet. Cute environment with good outdoor seating.
The crepes are fantastic and the atmosphere sitting outside feels like sitting at a cute Parisian bistro. However, service was not good... we waited around 45 mins and then when went to check the status of our order they told us it hadn’t even been put in the system.... the lady who took out order searched her system and finally found our ticket. They did get it out quick that time but didn’t offer a complimentary coffee or a discount or anything for having waited nearly an hour. The workers and food runners seemed really confused- with a bit more training in customer service this place would be awesome! Hoping for a better experience in the future - service wise!
An incredible place to get crepes and other french dishes. It is quite popular, but the line moves really fast.
Amazing small cafe. Went for crepes and Mimosas and loved all of it. Tons of allergy and gluten-free options, great staff. I highly suggest finding a day where the weather allows for patio dining, absolutely perfect brunch place.
Chez Elle is known for their fantastic variety of savory, and sweet crepes. They serve one of the best Lobster Bisques in the KC area, and they make the best Quiche I have ever had! We also enjoy their variety of coffee drinks, and Italian and French Sodas!
One of my favorite places. Always quality food, drink, and service. Great atmosphere.
Absolutely delicious!! My husband and I came here for breakfast one morning. He had the #23 Breakfast Crepe called Bonjour and I had the Sweet Crepe #13 Patriote with strawberry bananas and blueberries. Both were amazing. I have to say though the winner was the soup of the day the lobster bisque in a bowl. Absolutely mouth watering delicious!! The croissants it came with were oh so good, fluffy yet crispy when taking a bite. I also had a vanilla latte which was equally yummy. Crepes are huge, I was full after my crepe, latte and soup. Each bite was savory and full of flavor. Fruits were fresh and sweet. Definitely a favorite and will be back again!
The 20 min drive on the highway never stops me and my mom from coming here for a delicious brunch. We typically order a plate of crepes for each of us and another to share. My mom loves their savory crepes, and I love their sweet ones. Usually we spend a lot of time looking at the menu because there are so many options! If you love crepes, you will not be disappointed by Chez Elle.
Crazy selection of crepes here, we tried the cherry chocolate (cant remember the name) crepe and it was great!
The crepes here are amazing! Must try if you like crepes. My three year old daughter even enjoyed the savory crepes. They have patio seating and plenty of seats indoors. Drinks are great too- this spicy Bloody Mary will burn your lips! Parking can be tough- look for street parking in the surrounding area. Located in an historic building in the Westside in KC, it’s worth a trip!
Delicious, lovely environment, first date me and my wife went on, beautiful memory and awesome atmosphere to match it. Delicous lobster bisk and salmon crepe 😋
This place was awesome. More than accomodating, hygiene seemed fine, and the food was amazing. I love crepes, and even though I like them a little bit fluffier, I thought both were good even though sweet better than savory. The drip coffee was also excellent, and the staff was extremely kind.I would recommend
Stopped by for a quick lunch. This was my favorite place a few years ago. The front man didnt acknowledge me and then acted as if I was bothering him because I was ordering. I ordered the French crepe with salmon, capers, etc. Crepe was soggy and thick unlike any Crepe Ive ever had. It was filled with artichoke hearts and a mayo tasting spread. Very little smoked salmon. Maybe 5 capers. I told the manager and did not accept a refund because I ate the artichoke hearts & salmon. Very poor job with crepes!
Love coming here. Great food and different varieties with options for all ages. You can satisfy your sweet tooth while also enjoying some savory flavors as well.
Delicious crepes, beautiful outdoor seating, the closest thing to Paris you’ll find in the Midwest
A necessary stop in Kansas City! I make a point to check in at a local crêperie wherever I go, and Chez Elle has yet to be beat in flavor and quality. I’ve tried a variety of their crepes, and they’re all absolutely transcendental, but to this day I still dream about the savory Tour Eiffel. GO. GET IT. Satisfy your soul.
Lobster Bisque was the best... ever. The cashier was really attentive and good we forgot the wallet and she was really nice about it when we had to leave and come back... she was leaving when the food hit the table and the lunch rush was over. I would say service became pretty non-existent after that. Food was pretty good I would go back just to have a bowl of the bisque.
I went in for a drip coffee and got a savory crepe to go. Ive seen reviews for this place saying this is an amazing crepe place but I cannot agree. Not much was put inside the crepe so it ended up being just a lot of bread. And then it turns out that they ran out of coffee. Since the word coffeehouse is in the name of this restaurant, there is no excuse for not having coffee on hand. And to top it off they made me an americano and pretended it was drip coffee (even though I watched them pour the espresso shot and water into the cup).Just trust me - dont waste your time and money on this place.
I went into this dining experience with somewhat low expectations. But by the end I was more than content. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were fun and vibrant. We ordered the #24 The Monsieur and the #1 Chez Elle and the #15 Citron. And honestly they were all amazing. So I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything tasted. I will definitely return for another meal. All the more reason I cannot believe Ricky Bobby didnt say I Like Really Fin (Thin) Pancakes Because I believe this to be amongst the top breakfasts I have had as of late.
Amazing food ! best latte Ive ever had !
Perfect snowy day to stop in for a hot bowl of soup and a breakfast crepe! Their fish soup (soup of the day) was very flavorful and full of fish and mussels. Made for an excellent warm you up dish on this chilly morning! The breakfast crepe was HUGE and will provide for some tasty leftovers the next morning. Definitely recommend swinging by here if youre craving some french cuisine. Plan ahead of its snowy, the hill out front was winning the battle against some of the cars!
Really cozy place to eat, especially on the Sunday morning. They have some nice outdoor seating and a large indoor area too. There is a shelf of board games to entertain yourself while you wait. The crepes were good. The Monsieur was a lot of food and was very filling. The Glace was a sweet, straightforward crepe. It was some assembly required, not put together like the Monsieur.Overall, the food was tasty and seemed like a popular place and it was a good experience.
We have been coming here for several years. I have also tried every crepe on the menu... With that context, this place is a gem! A fun French theme with indoor and outdoor seating that gives a fun European vibe. The crepes are all wonderful. Fresh ingredients. Lots of options, including vegan. Coffee is wonderful, as are all their barista products. The best thing on the menu imho, however, is the BEST LOBSTER BISQUE I have ever tried in the city, across the U.S. and Europe. The recipe includes over 40 ingredients, but is a big secret. Trust me. Try it. It is the gold standard by which all other Lobster Bisque must be compared. The owner is a fun, cheerful, hardworking, charming and kind lady...often found helping clear tables, delivering food and engaging customers.Seating can fill up fast at breakfast, especially on the weekends. Despite the crowds and lines, service is quick, tables are clean, and the staff is always kind and on point. Bathrooms are clean, too.An early morning coffee and crepe at their outdoor tables in the Spring or Fall is a great way to begin an all-day date.Visit once and you are hooked!!!
I quite honestly didnt get any pictures because all our food was inhaled after a long morning at Childrens Mercy. However, it was filling and hit the spot. Highly recommend!
Best crepes in KC! Dont forget a bowl of their lobster bisque!
Fresh made crepes, sweet and savory for every taste served in cafe straight out of Paris!
Oolala, a little bite of Paris in KS City!! Excellent crepes and happiness in a cup of chai latte with added lavender syrup!! Mmm!
Always great savory or sweet crepes. Beautiful outdoor seating too!
Absolutely delicious and you can bring your small dog when sitting outside! We will be back soon!!!!
Love crepes? This is the place for you. Savory and sweet crepes, something for everyone. We will definitely go back the next time were in KC.
We tried the Au Chocolat and the Patriote which were each very awesome in their own way. This is a quick service type of place where you order and they will bring your food out. Service is very quick and efficient. Very relaxing atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Would love to try every item on their menu.
Delicious crepes for a good price. I have been here multiple times.
Great food, excellent mimosas, kind people!
If you hate crepes this isnt the place for you. But I love crepes and this place does them right regardless of if you prefer sweet or savory...I prefer sweet. You seat yourself & order at the counter and they bring them to you...perfect place to catch up with a friend. Reasonable pricing, and friendly people.
Really good crepes. Have not had any bad ones so far. Large selection. Have to try them all. Can be crowded at times, but not anything crazy. Lots of seating inside and out, but can get full.
Delicious food and the atmosphere is lovely. Expect it to be crowded - popular place to be.
This place is super cute and the crêpes are so delicious. I highly recommend the patriote crêpe. :)
Very nice place, friendly staff and great crepes ❤
Cute and their Crepes were delicious! Also recommend the London Fog drink!
Crepes were delicious but I wasted $7 on a bowl of cold soup. Also there were bugs everywhere inside, I couldn’t eat comfortably.
We went around 10 oclock on a Saturday morning and waited about 5 minutes in line to order and 10 more for our food. The prices were completely reasonable and the flavor and presentation of our crepes cannot be overstated. A nice little Parisian-flair made us feel a bit fancy and important, without breaking the bank. (We got 2 crepes - 1 pictured and 2 iced chais for ~$28.)
An absolutely wonderful place to share Im really good food!
OMG! I had the worlds best crepe - and it was gluten free! The Tour Eiffel. Salmon, capers, herb cream cheese and artichoke hearts. Delish! The place is small. You pay up front and then find a table. It got busy right after we got there so the line to order stretched into the dining room. There are two sides to the dining room. The side we sat on faces the open kitchen so it was kind of loud.
Thus was my first time visiting. I felt it was well worth the drive from South KC. Very inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food.
