The expresso and the steamed milk are excellent!When you want to take a break from the big nationwide coffee shops, you gotta try this place.There are parking spaces next to the shop.

I was gifted the Dolce Bakery coffee. What a nice gift! Its smooth and mild compared to my other homemade, grocery store shelf coffee.

This place is nice and cozy and even pleasant to walk by as you can smell roasting beans from down the block and its amazing. The people here are very nice and provide excellent service, I ordered a cappuccino and was amazed at how fast it was made and how delicious it was. I Holy recomend this place.

Id like to give it a 5, but there there is a particular barista there who always seems angry, unpleasant, and seems not to consider that there are people waiting to order and then receive their drinks. She manages to move remarkably slowly and appears to be more interested in conversing with some patrons than making and serving drinks. Hoping shell eventually move on, or better yet, learn to enjoy her work.

The initial aroma of the shop is worth the visit alone. Get yourself some of the most delicious coffee!

This place is a truly unique Kansas City landmark, situated in a historic fire station is a surprise waiting to be seen. They take raw coffee beans and roast them right in front of you... its definitely something to see.Also, a bit of an insiders note. There are days that they do what is called cupping where you get to taste all different kinds of coffees and learn all about what it took to make that cuppa Joe from a fruity bean in another country into what you love right here in Kansas City. Love this place. the Broadway Cafe located on Broadway in Midtown Kansas City. You can actually, at certain times, meet the roasters and see the actual process which theyll let you participate in the tasting process. Overall this is a five-star coffee heaven.

Outside of our kitchen, Broadway Cafe has been our go to coffee place for decades. Since they opened the Roasting Co and moved into the old firehouse its a favorite place to stop by. Always a good conversation at Broadway. Often we have beans from Broadway Roasting Co at home, too! Yummy Yirgacheffe! Thanks Broadway Cafe!

They have a crazy smooth and balanced espresso blend and ($11 for 12oz of beans if you want to buy a bag) and they offer one free refill of regular or iced coffee with any coffee or espresso purchase.

Hello everyone, Ive been wanting to stop here for some time! finally took my chance to today! I am on some sort of journey that Im going to call the Tour of KC Coffee, even though I cant keep up with all the new ones Im going to try! I stepped into Broadway Roasting and feel like I stepped into something different, an old culture steeped in tradition? Im not sure how to put it in words, but a small cafe in front of their roasting facility which is all in the same building! examining the clientele Im going to guess they are local and regulars who all seem to know each other which is what I look forward to if I ever own or run a cafe! I ordered a latte, straight no flavoring, the Barista did a good job with adding latte art on top! I was not disappointed with the drink! the cafe is also located in an interesting district of KC that looks worth browsing around!

I travel all over the world trying different coffee shops and Im also a home brewer. Trust me when I say its absolutely horrible coffee and the people working dont even act like they care. The people giving this a good rating cant have a trained pallet.

Finally decided to check it out over the weekend. The smell when you walk in is incredible. Worth checking out

Mellow location with straightforward service, and always a nice midtown stop to spot a few familiar locals.

First, and last time going to the coffee shop. The attendant was visibly annoyed that I didnt know what their drinks were exactly, or sizes since there were no signs posted for sm md or lg anywhere. Didnt need all the extra rude attitude, just my coffee.

They today their own coffee, which just so happens to be the best in KC.

This is the best coffee roaster in Kansas City!!! I love the location being in an old fire house with some history, people watching, and smelling some amazing beans roasted at the same time!

Really neat conversion of the old fire station. The coffee is decent, roasted reasonably well in house. Theres a nice variety of blends and single origins.I tried ordering a pourover. They dont do pourover. Only drip. The pourover supplies were sitting out, and I asked what they were for. Cupping only for staff.Id be glad to pay a little more for coffee the way it tastes best- per cup and made fresh. A little disappointing. I just bought a bag of beans instead of getting a drip cup.
