The best internet we’ve had, and as a huge bonus, they provide such excellent service. It’s apparent that they truly care! So refreshing, and such a massive departure from other ISPs I’ve had in the past. We love our Montana Sky Service!

Dumping CenturyLink for MontanaSky LTE service was a no brainer, I only wished that the LTE service was available sooner. Thank you for consistent internet speeds and the professional installation. Definitely RECOMMEND over CenturyLink!

Ok so my feelings on this internet is mixed. A few of these gripes are things that are not the fault of the ISP.Cons: the upload speed is almost always awful at the time of writing this review it is 3.33 mb/s the ping is also not ideal a server that is 143 miles from my residence has 31 milliseconds I would personally think this would be better for the very large price tag for a similar price you can get Starlink with 43 milliseconds of ping and 18.68 mb/s upload this is however not a widespread option and can be spotty at times due to it being in beta testing. The customer service in my experience anyway was not what I would expectpros: The service is probably the best stable internet provider for people in rural areas even though the service is not that great.again to wrap this up some of these things are not the fault of the ISP however it does have some very crippling issues that will make the service obsolete when other ISPs give better service with one already being close to a full release.

Fastest rural broadband in Western Montana. Techies solved my probs in a jiffy and have never had any issues. Found them on Facebook and they had me set up quickly with really great speeds for what I need. Highly recommend!

In the past ten years, we’ve had three different internet providers in the valley. I have nothing but good things to say for MontanaSky. Their internet isn’t spotty, customer service is super fast and efficient, even after business hours. Plus, it’s also the most bang for your buck. I wouldn’t hesitate if you’re thinking of switching over, their worth the hassle!

We have been with this company for a couple of years now . . we have had problems non stop . . I have called 5 times in 2 months . . was told that they would probably just need to bring a new router out . . never did even after the next 3 calls because a radio tower was out. The minute we got off the phone with them after they told us it was working again, it went out. I am still waiting for someone to actually show up. And I would really appreciate you dont lie about this review by saying you cant find me as a customer.

Im a new customer to the wireless Internet. When the technicians came out to install my device they were friendly efficient and clean. Anytime I have called the shop they have been courteous and helpful. Where I live it is the fastest most reliable Internet I can get and Im very happy that they did expanding in my area. I would recommend anyone to use Montana sky networks.

Secondly, when I had a 3mbps plan, which this company stopped supporting, they never told me I could upgrade, I kept paying for a package they no longer supported. I upgraded to 5x the speed for nearly the same price. So theres that.Another thing to note is that apparently when people have their internet go down (aka an outage), they dont post it to their outage site because its too few people to post about? (This was LITERALLY told to me by an employee over the phone.) For what its worth, the service is pretty nice. The staff isnt mean, and they were quick and helpful to help me figure out why my internet was down (but that doesnt mean too much when they didnt even fix the outage that they claimed would be fixed by 2pm.)Was told earlier today our internet would be repaired by 2pm. It is now 7:06pm and there is still no internet.Not to mention the 15mbps I should have according to our plan, I mostly have about 5mbps. This is why 3 stars is all I can give. I would switch elsewhere if the alternatives werent worse.Edit: Because of the quick help of employees to get my internet running again remotely and going out of their way to help out, Im adding another star. Thank you to Anthony for the kind and quick assistance fixing my internet.

The only reason they dont get 5 stars from me is because they dont give it away free. There really is not a better service in this area. We have the 10MB Sky Connect and it is perfect for our small family. Got a free email with the great montanasky,net name which is pretty cool, as well.

I have recommended MontanaSky to every friend and business I know over 15 years and without an exception, this company goes out of its way to do a great job. I just sent a friend to sign up a month ago, and they just rave how good the wireless internet is! Not one of the folks I know has ever had a problem that they could not expertly and politely solve. I visited their office, called on the phone and used the web stuff too. Unless you are a complete net know-nothing, these guys will give you great service and support. Happy to have a local company working for the community! FIVE STARS!

Constantly getting disconnected. Turns on and off whenever it chooses... which is very frequent. We have contacted the support numerous times each time recieving either useless tips or prompts to install a different router which we have done. The new router has made no change. One time some people came out to our house and made the internet come back on for only a couple days consistently.

We tried hosting our website here and our server would go down, SSL wouldnt work well, and they didnt care and was awful. They basically have no clue how to run servers and dont care one bit about your business.We had hosted with a server company in California for years, but thought we should try to support a local company.We moved everything over. Then they went down. They had our website down in the morning, blew us off all day long when we called over and over again. And went home in the evening without worrying about getting our server up again.We called all day and all night. They literally didnt care. They said it was an issue they couldnt figure out and wouldnt give us an ETA.In the middle of the night about midnight after being down for 12+ hours, upon calling the support line again, the rep said they would not help us. I asked to speak to their manager again, and the rep said he was looking at his manager across the desk and the manager would not take the call. He said he would leave a message with him and wed get a response.We never got a response. Never a call back. By morning, when we called, they still couldnt figure it out.So we had to move servers and hosts to a different host.Worse yet? They wont refund our money. We pre-paid for a whole year.What kind of server hosting company lets their clients be down for a full business day during business hours and then leaves and calls it a day without staying all night to get their server back up?Well, Montana Sky is that kind of company. If you use a website to actually make money like we do, do not trust this company with something so important as your livelihood.

Montana Sky has consistently demonstrated to me over the years that they simply do not care about customer service. You take your computer in for repairs and they do not return your calls. When I pressed 1 for tech service hoping I could get someone in the same office to go check for me I got someone in Great Falls. Their advice was to keep calling until I got a response. They want unhappy customers to go away rather than making the internal structural changes necessary to improve customer service. I will not be back.

We have been very happy with Montana Sky. We switched from CenturyTel, which was constantly dropping connections and was slower than advertised. We have had no speed problems and minimal connection issues with Montana Sky, and those minor problems have been situations out of their control (like a fiber optic line accidentally cut by construction.) And they announce the problem right on their website home page when something like that happens, so we are kept in the loop and have some idea what to expect. My husband is a Systems Admin, so we are well aware of the insanity that comes with tech, and these folks are doing a nice job.Did I mention we also saved money every month?

We regularly experience ping above 300 and long periods with little to no connection. Customer service is confusing at best, and their website could use some help as well. Dissatisfied so far, but this is WAY better than CenturyLink. I dream of a day where we can get consistently excellent internet access all for a fair price. I love the montanasky people, but their business is lacking.

We were happy with MontanaSky for years- weve been with them since back when they were digisys- but they have really gone downhill. Both my husband and I have had bad experiences with their tech support in the past six months- in one case, refusing to fix a problem THAT THEY CAUSED unless we paid for a tech person to come to our house. I used to love these guys, they would stick right with you till your problem was solved, but not anymore. I dont know what happened, and its sad because wed love to stay with a local company. Weve been putting off making the change for months because we didnt want to have to deal with changing our email addresses but our DSL has either been snail-slow or dead for the past two weeks and I am done. Too bad.

Nothing but problems since we got internet from them. Have called several times to try and get things fixed they say to go in and pick up a new router so we do and things work good for maybe a week then back to same problems.

One of the worst possible internet service provider Ive dealt with. Stay away Flathead valley. Cant even stream a five minute video without buffering. Their claims of 10MB speeds are exaggerations, and the available bandwidth is equal to the thickness of a penny. Spend the extra money and stay with the big companies.EDIT: One year in and my comments remain the same. I recently learned the MontanaSky buys bandwidth off of Century Link, which helps to explain why the connections slows to a crawl at 8 PM each night.EDIT2: To the response from Montana Sky. I cancelled my service in November of 2018.

I am giving them a full start because a half start is not an option.Terrible customer service. The internet has been spotty at best since the start of summer. Have had their technicians out only to find nothing wrong in our end. Then they sent a $170.00 bill for a no solution visit????They claim there is nothing wrong and that according to their system its working yet no one can get a signal from the router that included their office when they tried it today, in spite of their system showing the router was working. Yes, We have rebooted the thing a 100 times with no change to our dead service problem.When visiting their office they asked we bring in the router and 2, yeah two devices, that could not connect, lol. Get real, that was on my third trip to the location in Kalispell from Whitefish, as if my time is less important then theirs.If stay away from this location if you really want service.All I want is to terminate my contact and go else where.

Montana Sky is the worst internet service provider I have ever used. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Their customer service is terrible, their internet service is horrible, and their technicians are under trained. I guarantee you will be ignored, overcharged, and dissatisfied with your service if you use them.

So we are paying for 5-8 mbps but are getting .42, thats right point 42, not even 1. Really!! Ever try to watch anything on TV with .42 mbpsTheir reply is sorry. By the way customer service doesnt work weekends.
