I called the day prior to the day I took my car to the mechanic. I arrived before they opened at 7:30 am. After telling me on the phone replacing my front brakes would be $120 due to the sales they were having, I was excited; but upon arriving, the front desk guy tried to push a $329 cost on me; insisting I needed brake pads and rotors. And after I told him I couldnt afford the high amount he snapped, and said, I will put your tires back on. Upon replacing my tires, I wanted to say, I would return when I get the money the next day; he abruptly interrupted me and said, have a great day. What really got to me was the way he talked down to me, more than the high cost he tried pushing on me. And if I had the money last Saturday, I wouldve fallen for that high cost. When will people learn that a good attitude toward your customers would bring them back again, even if you cant help them the first time.? . I went to another mechanic shop and got my brakes replaced for $111; and was told I didnt need to replace my rottos. Wow! I will never ever go to Midas again. I then remembered that I went to that same Midas in 2011, and the bill was so high; that I regreted going there. Im staying away from Midas on Homewood.

I went here to get my tire changed and everyone was really helpful and they did fast and quality work. They also worked with me when my store credit card was having issues. I will definitely come back.

Guy who answered the phone absolutely discouraged my intent to have service at this location.First turn 9ff was his skepticism about honoring a lifetime brake warranty I mentioned in referebce to thinking the brake pads needed changing.He had a negative response to every statement I made. I coukd feel the upsell before I ever started the car to head in that direction, so I didnt.Ive tried using this lication in the past and was never satisfied with the results. After the very first time allowing them to service mmy warranty my car returned making a lud humming noise while driving. Never got that resolved and it still does to this day. Of course they denied any responsibility.Because of the warranty I tried once more. That went bit better.This time I was thinking surely theyve improved by now. I havent used this location in years.Just the phone call made me understand. Not.

Could not give more praise to these two guys at Midas that helped us when we were driving home from a family vacation and something in the road busted our muffler. They were incredibly nice and helpful, and got us in and repaired the issue very quickly. It was such a stressful incident, and their help made all the difference. 100% recommend!

I cant thank the folks at this Midas enough. While returning from vacation and passing through Alabama on our way back to the midwest, we struck some debris on Hwy 65, which ripped a hole in our muffler. The gentlemen at Midas were able to assess and repair the damage in a timely manner got us back on the road. They were kind and helpful and the cost of the repair was very fair.

How do you stop doing oil change with over 3 hours left open

It was cool. Even though, I went for the $17 special. The vehicle I was in required 0w 20 full synthetic. So, the $17 special didnt apply to full synthetic. Their ad shouldve specified as such. Mine was more like over $61. Which consists of $50 oil change, 10% tax & disposal fee. They didnt charge the disposal fee for my wait. How long did I wait? I dont know. Maybe an hour or so. It was fine that day – I had nothing to do. How was their attitude? Well, it was fine. They provided a service. I paid. The end.

The staff was polite and worked to get my car fixed in time.

Dwight and Tom helped me tremendously when the pinion gears exploded in my cars rear differential. The rush and wear required welding the chunk in place but their work got the ol 4x4 back on the road quickly and affordable. Customer service and work were great!

I have been taking my truck to Dwight and his staff for over 8 years and 140,000 miles. They are the best! They pay attention to detail and get the job done correctly. They treat me like more that a customer by like family telling me what really need to be done to maintain the truck. I recommend this service center to all my friends.

Went to their website and chose an appointment time for an oil change, providing all of my contact info. When I showed up for the appointment, I was told that I did not have an appointment since nobody called me to confirm. When I asked why they didnt call me to tell me the appointment was not available, he said it was because they were all booked up. Makes all the sense in the world, right? And not exactly friendly to boot.

Its sadd that the female at the front desk think she knows alot about your vehicle when she clearly does not she was having ppl who came in buy a synthetic oil change when they asked for a regular and claimed they only did synthetic no one can yell me ever anout my car.

These guys are awesome. When I realized I was without a way home when my car was in shop because I accidentally took the keys of my ride, they drove me the ten minutes home no questions asked. Talk about outstanding service! Oh, and they gave me an inspection I needed in order to drive uber free of charge when another shop in the area wanted to charge me a minimum of $50. Dwight is the man, and they will certainly be receiving my future business simply because of the way they treat their customers.

Dwight is awesome! He is literally the 2nd best, most knowledgeable and friendly car care service manager I have ever come in contact with, and there have been surprisingly a lot in my life time. The 1st best was Conrad at their Hoover location, but sadly he is no longer working there. But Dwight and the guys at Homewood were great and prices were fair and the work has always been top notch. I highly recommend.

I called them before I showed up to make sure it would be fine to bring my car to get looked at so I could get an estimate on a tune up. When I talked to them over the phone the guy told me it would be okay for them to go ahead and look at it but when I got there i asked to see dwight the guy I talked to when I came in told me that they couldnt look at it and told me they never talked to me on the phone. This was seriously a waste of my time !The person I talked to when I got there I could recognize his voice from when I talked to him over the phone. Im upset that I went all the way there for nothing.

Recently, Ive been to Midas two times for tire replacement. Dwight and Barry have been great. Courteous, quick, and efficient service. Highly recommended.

Good cheap oil change. They were friendly and quick.

I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey that might need a rotor service. the guy told me they need to check if the car needs service on both front and rear axis. later he called and said it needs both. when I got the car back, I noticed that 1. the brake didn;t improve. 2. there is no sign of polishing work on the rear rotor. I gave them the benefit of doubt. a couple of months later I took the car to the dealer for an alignment. the front wheels were out for about 1 degree, the rears, nothing. I asked the dealer if there ever been a rotor dics in the rear. he said no.avoid these people.

Always has best customer service experience. Repairs are done with a great rates.

I had an very bad experience in fixing my car at Midas Homewood Alabama on Monday, 29th June 2015 around 5:30 PM. Just for 3 minutes welding for broken exhaust costs $140. It was labour cost for 3 minutes works guys but the store manager charged me for one and half hours labour cost (total of $140 for three minutes), do you think 3 minutes works estimated to someone way far if anyone doesnt know, it is absolutely no makes sense as a regular practice, I was actually counting time on my phone while he was working, I was not joking, literally he took just three minutes. On top of that he was actually so rude to the customer too. Best of luck anybody who chooses to go to Midas next time.

After oil changed and tire rotation they did not reset oil change indicator.

Got my brakes, hub, and hub bearing replaced in November. Brakes fell out and had to get the hub bearing replaced.
