Pretty cool place to walk around. Wish I knew which fruit to be able to eat off the ground. Lots of ground fruit had bugs or were rotting. My favorite part was walking through the different varieties of bamboo and listening to the rattle they made in the wind. Wish there was a bench near the bamboo to be able and sit and listen. Also appears that we didnt come in season as there wasnt a whole lot of fruit. Was still an enjoyable experience.

I first did an unguided walk of the park, and loved seeing the impressive variety of fruits. Decided on the 5 star review from that.I then did a tram tour. There were sound system issues, which the tram driver/ tourguide resolved by stopping periodically to get out and talk. I felt a little restless on the tram, especially since the sun angle was hitting me, and suspect its best to either walk or take the tram, but not both.Tip: The park permits eating fruit thats already fallen, but not picking fruit. I saw a few guests brought knives to salvage fruits that had been lightly touched but otherwise looked fine, and that seemed to work well for them.

Very beautiful and peaceful park, so many trees that I didn’t know anything about. Entrance fee is $10 and you have the whole day to enjoy the beauty of the park. I went the wrong time when their isn’t anything falling off but it was worth it, you can only eat fallen fruit which is pretty cool, they have a little gift shop that you can buy hats and some important stuff, you can also buy a little sweet to cool you off, I had the mango and the strawberry taste amazingly good, they have a cafe which is pretty interesting. She greeted me with some fruit very interesting. I’m definitely going back, I spent most of my time by the bamboo

Visited here for the first time last weekend because I really needed to get out of the house. It costs about $10 to get in, but you have a good 1-3 hours of walking and roaming. It has an overall, peaceful feel and it was a small shop and a cafe too. I went in the Winter so clearly, there wasn’t much to see or eat (you can eat whatever is on the floor), so I can’t say the park is all that however, I explored some delightful spots. The little citrus 🍊🪴🍋 area was my favorite and the bamboo 🎋 hall was gorgeous. Walking through the tall plantain trees was nice too. I didn’t know a species of Buddha Belly Bamboo exists. You can check it out in my pictures. I plan to go back in the Spring!

If you are in Miami area and have interest in exotic tropical fruit, spice and flower plants and trees, you have to check out this place. It is off the beaten path to bustling Miami and the beaches but it’s worth the 30 to 40 min or so minutes drive south of Miami in the Homestead area. There is a small entrance fee and much lower admission for kids to get it. It has mom and pop feel and not commercially run place. They usually have fruits from the garden to try for free as you enter to buy ticket. You can hop on their tour tram or just walk around or both. You can zip through or take your time and explore and enjoy nature’s bounty. It is 35 some acres I believe so you can spend whole day if you like.In addition to mango, bananas, coconut, starfruit, jackfruit, papaya, they have many other exotic fruit as well as tropical spice and vegetable trees and plants. There are also flowering plants and trees.Very laid back and relaxing and something unique in Miami area.

Nice park with fruits and spices from the Mediterranean, Asia, tropical America, Australia, and the Pacific. You can pick up and eat fruits that have fallen to the ground, but picking fruits from the trees is not allowed. Good place to bring kids, but bring sunscreen and water, as it gets hot and there is not much shade.

I wasnt entirely sure what to expect from the Fruit and Spice park; at first. When I called, the representative on the phone kindly explained all the details of visiting the facility; which was endearing. Being able to eat any fallen fruit is a uniquely primal and delicious experience.Due to COVID-19, the prices were reduced but we chose to pay 2x the price simply to support these stunning grounds, the precious creatures who live at the park; as well as the employees. When my husband and I were foraging, a kind worker stopped and gave us some excellent tips on what to try.We will definitely be visiting again!

We were the only ones there. We had a very nice experience walking in the park. It was hot and not as much shade as I thought there would be. We had almost finished our walk of about 2 hrs when we saw the tram. So ask about the team would be my recommendation.

Lovely park, so many varieties of tropical fruit trees. Highly recommend the free tram tour (11am, 1:30pm, 3pm), multiple times with multiple guides if you can. Sadly we missed the Mango Cafe which closes a half hour before the park but was a very nice visit overall.

First note: due to COVID, the tram tours have been suspended. They have not been able to get their website updated to reflect that. The entry fee is $10. The young lady at the gate booth was so sweet and informative. We unfortunately arrived at the hottest part of the day, so we had to cut our walk short. But is a beautiful display of exotic trees, an herb garden, and many palms, bamboo and some cactI - plus may colorful iguanas that are something we’d never seen before! Without a guide it is hard to know what one is looking at, as markers are few. I am giving the park a full five because it is a unique and educational place and a feast for the eyes. Maybe we can return post COVID and in cooler weather.

I had an amazing time here with my parents and would highly recommend it. The tour of I think 40 acres of different kinds of plants and trees was really interesting and informative. My guide was Iva and she went over and beyond answering all of our questions as she drove us through the park during our tour. She was very knowledgeable and gave us some really interesting info on the plants including health benefits. Afterwards she gave my mother and I some literature about one of the plants we were asking about. She even gave us a baby curry tree which we were asking about as well as a coconut so we could plant it as well. You are not allowed to pick any fruit from the park but you are allowed to ask for a seed or seedling.Inside the visitor center, one of the other staff members, Brad offered us some cut fruit and coconut meat and even opened a cold sweet coconut for us to drink. Both Brad and Iva went over and beyond to make sure we had a fun and memorable and informative experience. The other staff members we met in passing were kind and helpful as well. I highly recommend to go here! Its a gorgeous place!

We were very excited about this park. We visited on Saturday, May 1st after 2pm. Walked around seeing all of the different fruit trees and trying to taste what we could. At 3pm we jumped on the Tram tour which honestly needs to be discontinued until they fix the speakers. We understood NOTHING. The gentleman who drove the tram didnt give us a heads up, he was extremely not interested and when the tour was over, Nothing. Not a thank you nor a see you again soon. Everyone on the tram was not pleased. He made an exciting and enjoyable experience a very dull one.Overall, I would come again during a festival or during a peak time where the fruits are more abundant.

Such a nice spot to visit near the Redlands! We visited because we had a free museum pass from our local library that allows admission for 2 adults and 2 children. If not, admission is $10 for adults and I believe $5 for kids. Overall, the park was very nice but make sure to bring a water bottle, napkins, hand sanitizer, and possibly a bag or zip lock bags. You are NOT allowed to pick fruits from trees only the ones on the ground. There is a wide variety of fruits available and nice plants/fishes to look at as well. Several picnic tables open and I even saw they have a tour on their small train as well but we didn’t go on it on our visit. I’m not sure if it has a separate charge as well. One of my favorite fruits was longan as it’s similar to lychee and didn’t even know it existed. We had a wide variety of fruits and even if we had paid $10, it was a great deal. They have a small shop/cafe and even give you a small sample cup of fruits before your begin exploring. They do not allow you to take fruits home so please eat everything in the park.
