The absolute best customer service you can find at a hardware store. The people here are amazing, and if you need anything hardware-related, this is the first place to go in our beautiful city.Why 3 stars? The inventory. I should be able to go to a hardware store and get any size Phillips head. I should be able to come to a hardware store and get 100% of the stuff I need to do a common job. I should be able to open a bucket of paint that doesnt take 2 hours to mix. 50% of what you need from a hardware store isnt here. 50% of the current inventory is covered in dust, and I bought a voltmeter that didnt work, probably because it sat on that shelf since 2004 and forgot how to read voltage.Again, try Helena Hardware first. Its obviously family-owned, and locally-owned. Theyre clearly promoting and working with other local businesses. But for Petes sake, guys, please, clean and restock every shelf in that place! The entire point of Google reviews is to help owners (and customers) know what they should to do accomplish the mission based on the advice of others. Im also a business owner in Helena, and the only thing more important than the customer service is the selection.

HELENA DESERVES A BETTER HARDWARE STORE THAN THIS.This store is messy, poorly organized, and seems to always be out of stock of even basic items.I needed a few simple electrical items (basic single pole light switches and a double switch plate). These are meat and potato items at most hardware stores. But NOPE. Not here. There wasn’t even an empty bin for single pole light switches.This kind of thing has happened several times since we moved to Helena. I need something simple, but they just don’t have it.Prices here are also usually MUCH higher than Lowe’s or Home Depot. I’d be fine with paying more and saving a trip if I could just count on things being in stock. But nope. I’m just going to make the drive to Home Depot from here on.

Helpful, but not as useful because there is a home depot in pelham, no worries, this store is closer and has a majority of different hardware stuff, so give it a try!

They somehow always have what I need for small projects. Some items may be priced higher than the larger commercial stores but the convenience and great customer service is worth it.

Due to Covid-19 I’ve had to start running the errands for my husband. My husband needed me to pickup two bolts from True Value. He gave me an example bolt to compare and buy the right size. I headed in and spent a good 20 minutes trying to find the closest matching bolt. Once I found the bolts, I headed to the checkout. Not only did I have to wait 10 minutes to be waited on, the young girl over charged me for the two bolts ($12 for two $1.98 bolts). I understand everyone makes mistakes and sometimes the sale floor can be busy so honestly no big deal. I did have to return the bolts, I bought the wrong size. When trying to return the bolts, the sales clerk walk me back to the nuts/bolt section and asked me to show him where I got the bolts from. Feeling fluster by the 6ft 2inch sales associate lurking over me, I was unable to find where I got the bolt from. The clerk then informed me that his store doesn’t carry this bolt size and pretty much called me a lair. I left with my bolts, tears filling my eyes from pure frustration. Later that day, my husband went and found the bolts located in the first row of bolts 5/8-11 and received a refund. Sadly we will never shop here again.

This is the most convenient spot for hardware needs of you live in Helena. A surprising selection of hardware always in stock. The staff are exceptionally friendly.

They are helpful and friendly. We buy our horse and chicken feed here, as well as shavings. They take time to help and answer questions. I enjoy going here.

I just want to say that Daniel and all the workers at Helena Hardware do such a great job with whatever your needing when you go in. Daniel is a good man and cares about the community and will go out of his way to help. I really appreciate all of them for always helping me out when I need something in there.

The store is convenient and the staff nice. However, the prices are ridiculous and they refuse to price match (which is their choice i know it is not a given that stores do that). Their stock is so-so as well. I wont go back unless I am in a bind an have to use them.

Inventory seems to be more limited each time I go. Friendly and somewhat helpful depending on when you visit. I try to shop locally first but am finding myself driving to a big box to find what I need.
