I had only been here once before just to get a few things. this time around I had a $60 gift card so I planned on getting a bunch of things and that’s just what I did! the employees were so kind and helped me carry my soil and plants to my car and the plants were reasonably priced and healthier than the plants at Anderson’s. so excited!! thank you so much you guys!!

I purchased a load of top soil and nutrigreen, I spread it on my lawn and nothing grows in the area it was spread because it is mostly clay.No matter how much I water it dries in about 30 minutes.Going back to Pennisula Hardwood.You get what you pay for.

It was not my intention to ever go there again after an unpleasant visit a few weeks back but they were the only ones with what I needed. I gritted my teeth and headed to their store.I was greeted by a lovely woman, friendly and cheerful. Rang up my order without me having to lift a single bag of dirt. Then I met the most uplifting and positive man ever! He was kind, fun, and informational. Spoke to me like a real person and really made my day! Thank you both for being so lovely and welcoming.

I love Countryside Gardens! They are my local garden center. Lots of classes on different gardening subjects, lots of awesome plants for both indoor and outdoor. Really nice inside the store! Always wonderful things to buy for gifts! The employees always are helpful, and if there is something you want talk to them and they will take your name and try to get it for you! Love everything about this place!

I dont know the first thing about gardening, but Ruth Ann went over and beyond to help me! They had a great supply of healthy plants and great customer service! Everyone was so kind, even with my kiddos running around. I really appreciate it!

Everyone that worked here was pretty helpful and knowledgeable.i love the selection. My advice, repot as soon as you get home. I am disappointed in the quality of some of the plants I bought. All of the plants I bought were too small for their pots, with their roots bound to the pot and one of them had roots growing out within the week before I was able to repot it. I bought a begonia plant and it was also waterlogged! 😔 I noticed the soil was really wet and then on day two some of the leaves started drooping. Put it outside on the deck with indirect sunlight. Hindsight, I should have repotted it immediately, but I didnt know. It was a waste... Poor baby

This is a great place to find unique plants and gifts. The plants are reasonable priced and healthier than than the big chains. They have classes where you can make a terrarium or learning about gardening. They have great gifts, some are locally made. They even have some women’s clothing a jewelry. Definitely a place to check out.

I was tired of going to Anderson’s for some indoor plants so I just googled nearby plant shops and came across this one and I’m glad I tried something new. I found a really cool bag and a cute pair of socks and a pretty cute succulent for a good price. They have rewards program as well and discounts which is pretty cool. Staff was friendly!

If you enjoy plants, from pothos to lithops to begonias to fiddle fig trees to pitcher plantd you HAVE TO go inside!! Amazing variety of plants in such good condition. Plants Ive never seen before, plants I thought I wouldnt see in person! Pots pots pots!! Every plant medicine, fertilizer, and bug killer you could need.I have not personally taken a wheelchair through the store but the front of the store has a tight gift shop feel to it. I imagine it could be tough to browse in a chair but not impossible. However if you go straight back to the greenhouse I dont think you would have any trouble with a chair.

Beautiful plants of a wide variety. Some quite different from the usual. Cool things in the Gift Shop too. Love going there.

Countryside has plenty of unique and unusual plants. And a large variety of vegetables. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable , and they are there year round so you can build a relationship with them instead of constantly dealing with new people. And their prices are comparable to the big box stores.

I truly love this place! I have always had nothing but kind, informative help from everyone at Countryside. There is a boutique inside with some lovely, one of a kind gifts. I have gotten beautiful seasonal plants & some awesome succulents. There is something for everyone there. I live on a small disability income & thats it, but I try hard to afford a batch of quality plants that bring me beautiful, colorful flowers & foliage & to me thats priceless.

Very Old School Service; Excellent. I wanted an indoor plant to hang in my living room. The sales clerk showed me all she had and explained the difference.

I visited Countryside Gardens last week to find some plants to fill some new planters, and it was lovely. All the plants looked healthy, and the people working were extremely helpful in helping me find plants that could live in the shade in a planter. I will definitely be back when I am ready to plant more!

I love this garden shop! She always has quirky, unique, and artistic finds in the boutique. The greenhouse and outdoor market have the traditional, standby plants you would expect to see each season, but she also has the UNUSUAL! I love to visit. I am a garden enthusiast and I ALWAYS see or learn something new when I go to Countryside Gardens. They even have a bee hive on-site!

In this big box world we live in where we buy plants cheap, & then they die fast, Countryside is a wonderful alternative. There are always knowledgeable ladies available to answer my gardening questions. Im a Master Gardener but still dont have all the answers. The Countryside ladies do! Selecting our Christmas trees there is always my favorite time of year. The owner personally selects each tree and doesnt have it shipped until we are ready for them. We typically buy our tree right after Thanksgiving. Its still so fresh through New Years. Great prices too! Cant say enough. Countryside is a Hampton treasure.

I had gone there with my son who is mixed and the staff was extremely rude. They kept looking at him like he was going to steal something, to the point of following us and then when he pointed at a display item the lady in the store snapped at him. My son is very well behaved and had done nothing wrong. I felt like he was being targeted and treated rudely based on his appearance. I will never give them my business nor recommend anyone else shop there.

Countryside Gardens is my preferred go-to-it garden center. Great selection and pricing of plants and a wonderful gift boutique. I have purchased many gifts at the boutique as there are so many unique items that can’t be found in other gift shops. I’ve been able to take advantage of a number of the classes and have always received knowledgeable gardening advice from all of the ladies.I used this garden center exclusively when I lived in Hampton and now that I live in Chesapeake, I continue to make the drive across the water to buy my plants and garden supplies here.

I have always loved Countryside Gardens. The employees are quite friendly and so helpful. I love African violets and I can always find such nice ones there. I enjoy looking at all of the different gifts, cards jewelry and everything else that they stock.

This store has very knowledgeable staff and owner. Every employee there has always tried to help me and if they dont know the answer they ask one of the other employees. They feature a wide variety of plants and are friendly. They carry everything from chicken food to fertilizer to indoor and seasonal decorations.

They have gorgeous containers and everything you need for gardening. I love their gift selection inside. This is a great local garden shop!Its not huge but they have a broad selection of plants and supplies, plus a nifty little gift shop. Prices are typically as good as or better than big box stores and WalMart, but you actually get knowledgeable service here and dont have to hunt all over to find a person. For convenience, theres an unaffiliated shop next door that sells dirt and such by the truck load if you need more than a few bags, and the price is about half as much as the bagged stuff.

I love going there. Everyone is so knowledgeable about the plants and they have all kinds of beautiful trinkets inside the shop. The plants are healthy and well maintained.

Waited for a return call on a order to come in after 10 + days I called only to find out they could not get the item ordered. This has happened twice this year. Major disappointment, no item but also so disappointed in service. A telephone call would have been nice to know item was not available.. Usually excellent service and a wonderful gift shop not sure what happened but twice in just a few weeks. :-(
