My mother and I went in looking for a halloween costume for my daughter who was born at 29 weeks. Neither of us had ever been in a BAB before. Cory and Des were so kind and helpful. My mother ended up purchasing a bear for my daughter and the staff were really patient during the decision process and all the back and forth switching. We live in va beach and wouldnt mind the drive in the future because of Des and Cory.

Honestly had a great experience here. We brought my nephew for his birthday and he had the best time. It was clean, staff was super friendly, 10/10 !

I won’t beat around the bush, I wasn’t hopeful given the location was in a Walmart. That said, foot in my mouth, wonderful staff and a great experience!

Small with fewer cheaper options but glad theyre open. Very friendly staff. My kids enjoyed their purchase.

Took the little one in to get her second build-a-bear today and had a fun time! Evonya was more than helpful. Her customer service was perfect and others could learn a lesson or two from her. We will be back to this store. Two thumbs up.

Amazing customer service! So helpful and patient with my two year old! Helped her pick out her bear and hearts and clothes and even helped her pick out a name! $2 birthday bear and she even rang the bell and sang happy birthday to my daughter. Awesome experience!

Had a wonderful experience with my 2 year old granddaughter. Staff was very helpful and patient with a rambunctious toddler. She let her fill her bear, pick out the heart, pick her bears name, and even sang her Happy Birthday! I will Definately be coming back!

Been inside Walmart but has not visited Build -A-Bear.

My daughter and I visited the Hampton store yesterday to use a gift certificate she received for her birthday. Upon redemption and calls to the stores manager and Build-A-Bear Customer Service (which was CLOSED), I was told the gift card could not be used. I was asked where was the GC was purchased. Embarassed I had to call the gifter who was out with her family and ask her where she purchased the card. Then to be told the store could NOT accepted the card because it was purchased from a third party (CVS) so I was unable use it. TOTAL RIDICULOUSNESS...so if a card is not purchased from the actual store there is a risk you cannot use it. So the gifter is out of $25 and I have a build-a-bear gift card I CANNOT USE. If the cashiers had NOT been so friendly and kind (Great job Marli and Izzy!) I would had left the merchandise there.  I still spent $60 in YOUR STORE. NEVER AGAIN! POOR SERVICE!!! Unhappy! Will submit a BBB complaint

Went to Walmart another store I shop at.

Poor customer service. I was unsure of how the quality of customer service was going to be since its located in a Wal-Mart, and I should have went with my gut instinct. Came for my toddler childs birthday (its the only one in the area) and my child left disappointed and uncomfortable. Staff was very insensitive with children and rude. I will never be returning to another Build-a-bear altogether.
