Took my 2011 Honda Accord in need of a new catalytic. I walked in without an appointment. Gerardo was professional, polite, and helpful. They explained and actually showed me where I had a leak in the exhaust. They made the repair quickly and efficiently. Very reasonable price! It can be hard to find honest mechanics. These gentlemen have gained my trust. I highly recommend them!

The mechanic was knowledgeable and pleasant. While the work was getting done I got calls and updates. Overall top notch service. You probably say why the 3 star rating. Well at the end my services came out to $503 and change. The guy brought it down to $488 and change. Also a plus but I gave him $500 in cash he pulled out a pen for me to sign for the service. Gave me my keys and I was gone. After pulling off I realized I never got my change. This was a week ago now. No call or anything. If I do go back I’ll be using my credit card.

Eddie Rivera is managing a great team of professionals.I called in for a oil change. Arrived on time and his mechanic was ready for my vehicle. 25 minutes later I was on the road again.Paud half of what I normally do at a Local Franchise Oil Change Store.

I asked that they look at repairing both rear tires due to possible nails. Well, he said they both need to be patched and that it would be $35 per tire. When I went to pay, I was charged $90 since one tire had two nails and the other had only 1. You be the judge.

I came in to Velasquez Gurnee with a serious oil leak and a loud exhaust, fearing the worst (over $1,000). Eddie and his crew took care of both for under $600! I couldnt even hear the car running! Muchas Gracias!

My second time in 5 days had my vehicle towed in close to closing they received it quickly checked it out, and diagnosed the issue by 900am the next morning was completed and fixes another potential problem that I forgot to mention to them though costly considering I just had the catalyst converter done couldve been worse but worth it..and have my van up running smoothly and so much better

I went to this location not having a good experience years prior, but decided to try them out again. I was told that my car was good to drive, however my brake pedal continued to hit the ground. When I told them that it still wasn’t good, they said the part was defective. If the part was defective, why did he say it was all fixed before I actually drove it myself? Waste of time and a waste of money. 2 stars bc of the guy who actually communicated with me what they could do at the end, otherwise 0.

I have been to this Auto Repair Shop many times. I had oil changes, cabin filter replaced and brakes done also here. The manager is great! The mechanics were as well. All the work done was excellent & they were professional. Prices were very good & Im glad I found them!!!

They were able to take my car in rather quickly and install my new muffler within an Hr and at the price I paid, I will for sure be returning for future exhaust work.

Diego is the man. I was having issues with locating customized calipers for my vehicle and he came thru. With in 2 weeks they were here and they only took a couple of hours. I also ordered after market tires and rims that put on as well. Velasquez is my go to shop for my one-off vehicle request.

Communication service is not good at all the manager is being rude and don’t know how to properly talked to customer. when being given a task I told them I need my inner putter tie rod so they can do an alignment to my car, after 1hour later they found out that I needed a slay bar for my car so they can properly do an alignment. I asked the manager why did they STILL perform the alignment when they just told me I needed a slaybar for my car his response was “yes did the alignment....., your steering wheel is straight right?!” I’m like what does that got to do with anything?!! You guys charged me for nothing?!!! The car NEEDS the slay bar for the car to function right... I need my money back!

If your looking to put a so called muffler or exhaust system in your vehicle or any thing that is car repair related stay far away from this place and find some where else to get the job done!!!!the crooked mechanic supposedly He had told me he was going to put an exhaust pipe instead of a muffler on my car which I had agreed to so it wouldn’t come out expensive for me which the job took him an hour to do only to find out as I got home he only cut half the pipe that is connected to the old muffler and put a new half pipe on there and to only charge me 127 that’s some b.s I’m taking my money else where

New mufflers (both sides) in an hour, with lifetime warranty. Reasonably priced. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Id highly recommend.

The manager Junior is great !! I came for a door handle replacement, and I soon found out that I had purchased the wrong door handles for my vehicle, but luckily Junior worked with me and found a way to install the door handle so that I wouldn’t have to return nor purchase anything else. The employees there are also very friendly and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Definitely worth the time and money .

Called about getting an alignment on my truck. Lady on the phone said that I could bring it in right away. Was there with in 5 minutes and was told by the woman behind the counter that it would be 45 minutes before they could look at the truck (would have been nice to know that over the phone). 1.5 hrs later she tells me that they cant do the alignment because the upper ball joints were bad. Funny, because I just replaced those joints 4 months ago and when I installed a whole new steering linkage on the truck yesterday; they seemed fine. I asked if the mechanic could show me and she said no cause they already took it off the lift. And why wasnt I given an estimate to replace them if they were bad? Anyways, was hoping to find a good, local shop to do the jobs that I cant. My search continues.

SCAMMERS. They charged me for 2 belts and only changed one. $130 STOLEN. DO NOT TRUSST THIS PLACE.

I recently got an alignment there. There was no paperwork to show the alignment before and after, so who knows if they even did it. They extremely over-torqued the front wheels to the point of shearing the metal on my brand new rims. Torque is supposed to be ~70lbs, and they were torqued 100lbs or more! They said it would be a 4-wheel alignment, but they never even took my rear tires off, so I know they didnt adjust the rear. I wont be going here again...

Don’t recommend coming here at all, over priced for mediocre work. My car was over heating when the ac was on. They were gonna charge me 350$ to replace the thermostats (which are cheap) and flush the system. The other place I took it to charged me 150 for real Nissan thermostats. Also, brought a car before that wasn’t accelerating. They were gonna charge me close to 3,000 for the work. Took it to a different mechanic they charged me 600$ with parts and labor. DONT GO HERE!! They like to pry on ignorant people and over charge!!!

Velasquez Complete Auto Care, has professional Customer Service. Initially, I took my vehicle in for something that I assumed was very serious and costly. Which actually turned out to be extremely minor. This was my first time visiting their other location, located in Gurnee, IL. I had no idea that there was a 1st & 2nd location. Because I had always gone to the Green Bay Road, Waukegan, IL., location for my car services.

Went in for a oil change on my wife’s car and made to wait for 1 1/2 hours with no acceptable reason other than the office girl was out doing personal business on a “ extended lunch break “. Save your time, money, and patience while taking your business someplace else because I will take my business to someone who can while not making me wait 95 minutes.

Low quality parts.Got the whole exhaust pipe replaced six months ago now it leaking like crazy.

The run around... walked into the shop the other day they told me they can do my tire my alignment and my mufflers and were only able to get to the alignment. Alignment comes with no warranty which most shops at least give you six months, and they were advertising a $50 alignment but apparently thats gone because they tried to charge me 150. Came back today and they told me that I should run over to the Waukegan Velazquez since there was no wait but when I got there they told me they dont do any Tire work and sent me back to Gurnee. Waited there for another 20 minutes for them to tell me that they dont carry valve stems. Oh yeah and they dont take credit cards today because their machines down so hopefully you dont walk in there and find that you have to go the ATM. Finally, I asked them to fill up my tire that they couldnt fix and they said id have to wait ten minutes for air. Wasted a good hour and a half of my day today for no reason.
