Was there Sunday afternoon. My Nissan was not wanting to shift into a higher gear. They checked the transmission level it was low. They got me the right fluid they also had a funnel for me to use so I would not have to buy one. Very happy with the service! Highly recommend!

Helpful guys here at this location. They are willing to help with parts or what your needs are for your car. Though the pricing is very high for slot of items. Sharing a tip get the part number for your needs take a pic and research other auto stores online or good ol Amazon. But hey in a pinch buy it at your Auto zone. Convenience aint cheap.

I asked an employee if they had a buffing pad and a recommended wax for my DA polisher. The employee was honest enough to admit hed only been working there for a month and didnt know, which is acceptable/appreciated.What blew my mind is that I asked him what he used for waxing his car and he stated, I dont wax my car. Im not really a car guy. And then he wandered away.Its just a case where the person employed should find another job where they care a little bit.I did find wax and a buffing pad, albeit on my own. My suggestion is to know exactly what you want before going in this store, or go to NAPA in Antioch. Its a little out of my way but NAPA has, car-people, working in the store.Update: There was another review 2 days after mine from a customer having an identical experience to mine: Customer asked if the store had an item. Store employee said no (or I dont know). Customer subsequently found the product on the store shelf. I found a waxing pad for my DA polisher on the shelf after the employee said he didnt think they had it and walked away. Might be a bad apple in the store.

The employee here told me not once, but twice that they didnt have the item I needed after literally seeing it on the shelf--I was deferring to the employee so I could find the exact model part I needed, but even with that, it was much faster for me to google search the answer using my phone. I needed help, and I received bad answers instead. Google searching forums answered my questions with more alacrity than your paid employees. To make it even worse, I had purchased both of the items at Autozone before.

Checked battery were quick about it.

Looking to purchase a wiper blade. Went to the Gurnee facility, they didnt have it. But were nice enough to direct me to the Waukegan store. They called ahead to be sure they had it and let them know I was on my way to buy it.

I know nothing about cars. They told me what break pads I needed. I also had a remote control battery that was dead. They got the battery, swapped it out. Very good.

I bought a new battery about a month ago. I entered the store, not wearing mask and carrying the battery. I was met immediately by a store employee who asked me if I had a mask. I did in the car so I let him know and he took the battery for me to the counter and when I returned to the store, he immediately completed the return. I didn’t have my reciept, and they still took care of it right away. Very helpful

Help me with a dead battery and hard to find parts for my trucks

I visited this location today, and I was greeted with excellent service! I was in search of new headlights for my vehicle. Not only did they point me in the right direction they helped me install the new headlights. Bill H was the representative that was assisting me. He was very knowledgeable and patient while helping me change my head lights. I recommend this location to anyone Gurnee area!

Had an issue with a battery replacement. Went to a few shops and all were unsuccessful. Stopped by and it was a struggle but Manny got it done. He didnt give up like the rest and took extra care to not ruin any on the parts. You guys are lucky to have him because very soon he will require some good money for his skill level. I have not used AutoZone previously but they quickly made me a fan! I needed a new battery quickly. I expected to just purchase a battery and have a friend install it. But I was pleased to find out a) they checked my battery to make sure my issue was a bad battery before selling to me b) they installed the batter free of charge while I was there. It didnt take long. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly.

Very helpful and go out of their way to be courteous. I can in to get a new light bulb for my SUV. The associate realized that I was coming towards the door with crutches and immediately opened the door and proceeded to help me find what I needed. He went out of his way to replace the bulb in my vehicle in the rain. I tried to give him a tip but he graciously refused. These guys are very helpful. Only recommendation would be to make sure the floors arent too slick. I felt my crutch start to slide on an area of wet floor. I think it would be great to just mop up or use some paper towel to dry the area.

Nice store. Can only enter from west-bound Grand Ave(132) just past the Walmart entrance. The employees are helpful, will carry stuff to your car, show you where to find stuff in the store. Seems like theyll let you work on your car in their lot.

My wife was traveling through the area today by herself with our 3 kids (all under the age of 4). A rock hit her drivers side window and it started to crack. She pulled off at stopped in the AutoZone in Gurnee to ask for help. Our 4 month old was crying, and the two boys were restless. The sales rep there taped up the window to prevent further cracking and comped a Lighting McQueen and Mater toy car for our boys! Thanks AutoZone for going above and beyond and for helping keep my family safe! Cant say enough good things about this location.

Great experience at this Autozone. I have shopped Autozone several times back in my home state of Texas but this one gave great customer service. I called for a price check on break pads and rotors and Max gave me the quotes and put them on hold. He also let me know about the lifetime warranty. When I went in to get them Seth helped me put them in the car, as well as help told me about their rewards program that I had no idea about! Ive shopped this Autozone several times and have had good customer service, so I thought I would give a rating this time! Thank you!
