Some of the best service and repair Ive gotten in my life. Had a suspension issue on a 2005 Land Rover and they tackled and repaired it, feels like a brand new car! Ill be taking many more of our vehicles there. John was very informative and went way out of his way to be available for information and explanations when requested. Very happy.

This is my first time to write a review. I wouldnt do this if this place is just one of the good places for your car. Perhaps there might be other shops in town providing cheaper or more skillful service, I hardly doubt it though. Peterson European is more than that. Mr. Peterson, Ms. Peterson and his staffs are all really, really nice people. Hopefully, everyone would have wow customer experience at here like I and my family have had.

Jon and his team have worked on many of my cars throughout the years with most recently my Mercedes R350. They have been thorough and saved me from making unnecessary repairs, yet charging reasonable prices for the needed ones. He has fit my cars into his schedule on last minutes notice when I had an emergency. Hes also walked my husband through small scale repairs when we were not in the area of the shop. For these specialized services and repairs, his prices are much less expensive than a dealership. And I dont need to ask to watch them change the oil in my vehicle, as theyve earned my trust and I have the sense to understand its a liability issue to allow customers in a professional garage. Highly recommend!!

Best repair shop in town for European cars. Much better experience than taking it to the dealer.

If I could give a zero I would. This is the most disorganized, absurd excuse for a business I have ever seen. The sign should read, “if I can’t overcharge you for fixing your car I’m not fixing it or returning your calls”! Absolutely absurd! Thanks for absolutely nothing other than wasting my time.

Do your research before going here. Make sure you do a visual check of your vechile with the tech before leaving. This will ensure nothing was forgotten or misplaced..... Unfortunately, the brake fluid cap was not replaced on my friends vehicle and ended up costing $$$.

I have always had a positive experience at Petersons. Work is well done and pricing, when compared to the Mercedes dealership is very reasonable.

Extremely knowledgeable, properly certified mechanics, lead by great ownership that cares about your car as if it were his own. These guys use the right fluids, the right filters, the proper parts and funky, expensive, tools your European car needs to get proper maintenance. These folks are likely doing a better job than any of the area stealerships.Just an example to give you a feel: I took my wifes SLK there for a small transmission leak. He found that, and fixed it, also found a small head cover gasket leak, and I agreed to have that fixed at the same time. The owner actually sent me SMS pictures of the covers before, during, and after tanking, washing, and drying, of the uncovered heads after cleaning gasket surfaces, and the gasket set. Most places are going to wipe off the gasket sealing surfaces, put it all back together and call it a day. Ill never take her car anywhere else again.I asked for a quote on transmission service for my Audi A8; he gave me two prices -- one for the book way that drains the transmission, drops the pan, changes filters, reassembles everything, fills the pan via the stand pipe in the pan, and keeps running more fluid in as another mechanic runs through gears (until it wont take anymore oil during the process). The other price, about 20% more, utilized a special pump that attaches to the transmission valve body (after the pan and filter are off). It acts as a pressurized fluid sump as they run the car through the gears, pumps out the torque converter, cooler, and valve body (before they reassemble everything and fill the sump through the stand pipe). Yeah, this is THAT shop.I only remove one star because you pay for every bit of this kind of high-touch service...but...You get what you pay for. Expect a bill and expect to be thrilled anyway.

I bought my first European car (a pristine, Dinan-maintained BMW 635 csi from Mountain View, CA) in 2003, and I had to look around for a competent, reliable Euro repair shop here in Granger/SB. The steering column had some issues (and I knew what the problem was), so I took the car around for estimates, which eventually ranged from 1500$ to 300$ from various other shops (let them remain unnamed). Jon, on the other hand, told me that its an easy fix, given the adjustment screws on the original steering column. After 67$ he put me back on the road, and I never looked back. I am not taking my cars anywhere else (635 csi, X5, GL450, A4). At one time, our BMW X5 broke down on Christmas Eve (German cars and water pumps dont get along well) . Had it towed to Jons shop, he fixed it and left it outside the shop so we have our family car for Christmas Day - he said I can pay him later. By now I just leave the card number with them, since I know he will look into the best option and go for that. He talked me out of many repairs I thought are necessary, but pointed out others that were more important. My only concern is that since they are so busy, it takes time to get the cars back. However, with some planning and coordination, we are keeping all cars safely on the road, and with my son and wife driving regularly, nothing is more important to me.
