We’re planning to remodel our kitchen. Hannah T, she’s ( one of the service providers ) is awesome. Funny and knowledgeable. Helped us figure out a whole lot of options, the Pros and cons. Hannah was very patient explaining in details. I can tell Hannah loves what she does and that is helping people., especially the overwhelmed ones. Home Depot is lucky to have her.

We recently bought a range from Home Depot. When ordering, I changed the date of delivery so I would be home. Somehow this was never relayed to the delivery company. It was originally slated to be delivered in two weeks. Since this wasn’t relayed to the delivery company, when I took the day off work, the range never showed up. Upon calling the delivery company, they had no record of it being in the system. We had to reschedule and it took another four weeks to receive the range.Since they were taking our old stove, we removed and unhooked the gas, moved it to the driveway. Lesson to us, do not remove old appliance until new appliance is installed. After this we ordered a refrigerator from Home Depot. Same problem with this appliance. Didn’t receive it and Home Depot changed receiving date at 3:00am. Again delivery company had no record of it being ordered, another month of waiting. My advise to everyone, don’t order from Home Depot. After they receive your money, they don’t know you.

Ran to Home Depot today on a break during work to pick up a couple of items that we need. When I arrived the aisle I needed to go down was closed off, there was a worker standing down there. I asked one of the cashiers if someone could get me what I needed from that aisle. He stared at me as if he didn’t understand me, so I repeated myself. He continued to stare at me and then didn’t directly answer my question, instead just said well I’m not sure a couple of times without moving or going to ask anybody, and then told me that he thinks I would have to wait until the aisle opens back up. I’m not mad, but the experience was frustrating, especially since he seemed very unsure of himself but didn’t move to ask anybody.

The Home Depot manger in the afternoon was very rude, raised his voice, was not helpful at all. Poor quality in costumer care. I came in, in regards to receive help over a return. Which I 100% did not receive help for. Thankfully, after calling Customer service on the phone they were able to help me! They listened and were able to help attend my situation with proper care.

We rented a drain cleaner and had issues with it so we returned it and would want to rent another one. An elderly grumpy rude man in rental center was not friendly.. He was not professional, he seemed to be a prejudiced person and did not ask if we want another one. His face and toned of voice seemed very disgusted towards us. So we did not want to ask for another drain cleaner.

We went through Home Depot on 28th street to have new floors installed in our kitchen and entryway, and our experience was horrible from the start! We were told the installers would be to our home at 7:30/8:00 on Tuesday, we received a call at 9:30 they were running late and would be there around 12:30, by 3:30 we ended up calling the contracting company who informed us they were running late still and would be there tomorrow instead. When they finally arrived on Wednesday we were told it would be a really easy job and they would be done by the end of the day, 5 installers showed up and 3 left since it would be so easy. By 4:30 the two installers said they couldnt finish today since they needed to level the floor but would be back the next day and finish the project tomorrow. Thursday comes and only one installer came this time he leveled the floor and said he ran out of cement and needed to go to the store several hours later he returned and did yet again another coat, but still couldnt finish the floor because it needed to dry, but would be back tomorrow. Same installer shows up on Friday now, and says he needed another coat to level the floor and has to leave to work on another job while it dries. He shows back up around 2:30 works until 4:30 but says he has to leave because he needs caulk but has to go to the store to get it, so he will be back tomorrow! He arrives to our house around 9:30 (Saturday day five of the project) and starts to finally install the last ½ of the flooring that needed to be installed. He takes a lunch break around 11:30 and doesn’t show back up until almost 2:00pm. Around 3:00 installer says he ran out of flooring and tells us he needs to run to home depot to get more. Since we wanted the job done today and he kept making excuses, we insisted that we run out ourselves to go get the extra flooring. Around 5:00 pm, installer gets the floors finished, and then started on the quarter round but around 5:30 he tells us he now has run out of nails and cannot finish tonight. The installer said he will come back in the morning to finish up nailing in the quarter round. Sunday (day six) the installer arrives at 10:30 am in what looked like his pajama pants and he gets the quarter round installed in about 15 minutes, but says he forgot caulk so he needs to run over to the other project they are working to get some. We were told he would be back in 3-4 hours to caulk the quarter round and clean the floors where he had left over cement spots from earlier in the week, he never cleaned up. We never hear back from installer so we finally text him at 3:30 to let him know we are home waiting on him to come back. We never get a response from him so at 5:15 we texted him and tell him we will finish the caulking and cleaning of the floors ourselves.- A project we were told would be a day ended up being 6 days without a kitchen or use of our main entry way- Our home was a mess everyday, they would leave and not clean up from their work day (we would sweep and put their tools away) ourselves- They ran out of supplies multiple times and had to leave each time to run to the store which would take several hours- TONS of cigarette butts were thrown in our driveway and over our fence into our backyard- The whole process seemed incredibly unprofessional from start to finish. The installer seemed hung over both Saturday and Sunday, CFI (the contacting company) didn’t seemed concerned that the project was taking so long, and Home Depot did nothing but say sorry for the inconvenience.

After wasting our time at a competitor (their website said an item was in stock - but it wasnt when we got there) my wife and I made a long drive to the opposite end of town to this Home Depot on 28th street in hopes of better luck.It worked! Something I needed for my shop at home was in stock and even on sale! The first thing I noticed when I came in here was how clean and well lit it was. Another plus (it was a muggy HOT day) was how comfortable the temperature was inside. Not freezing cold like a lot of places.Our salesperson, Mitch, was cordial, very helpful and even helped load my beautiful purchase into my vehicle. A very pleasant experience at Home Depot.I wish the hours were a little longer, and that theyd move this location to the other end of town so I wouldnt have to drive so far, but...I understand. :) From now on, this will be my go-to store for any home improvement purchases.

Do not buy major appliances from this corporation. The customer service is a zero. The staff is not interested in being helpful let alone intelligent about their services or products! We bought a dish washer and paid the 200 to have it delivered, installed and the old hauled away. The delivery men barely spoke English. Could not complete the removal, install nor haul away the old one yet insisted I sign their pw stating they did all that. Insanity ensued when we tried to contact the store for guidance and were transfered to 7 different people. In the mean time their installers are pressuring me to sign the paperwork or their taking my new machine! Save yourself the headache and time. Go to a professional store. A Locally owned store! F the corporations and their below average customer service 🙄 below is the pic of my brand new machine sitting in the garage as they left it.

I ordered the Milwaukee Mobile Cart online from Home Depot in Kentwood, MI. When I arrived, the manager JD and four team members came out and loaded this 400 lb. mobile cart into my vehicle! They refused my tip as an appreciation.I delayed my decision to purchase this unit in the past, as I was convinced it would go on sale! Well, it didn’t and I just bought it! The unit arrived in the box on a wooden crate. The HD team removed the crate and loaded the cart while still in the cardboard box. When I arrived home, it was a bit challenging to remove it (Infiniti QX80). It is 400 + pounds. You need a minimum of 2 strong individuals, but prefer more. I used plywood as a ramp, slid it down and upright. It comes almost completely assembled, except a few items. It will take you 15 minutes. It took me 45 minutes, so that should be right!The industrial strength, quality and overall durability is amazing. The paint is baked on and nearly chip proof. The casters are heavy duty and the drawer designs were well thought out. The built-in power strip is handy. This unit was $980 and worth every penny.. (typically, it will go on sale 31 days after I buy it ). If you see it available and you want it, buy it now. I don’t want to bore you with my thoughts about the Supply Chain situation that we are all experiencing today!I don’t have any conflict of interest when providing feedback on Milwaukee, Home Depot or those mentioned in this post. Many of us know the amazing quality that Milwaukee Tools produces and those that support them are very loyal!What was most impressive during my entire process, however, was the team at Home Depot in Kentwood, MI. They were trained, willing, smiling and thankful for my business!Ironically, I was more thankful for Their business, Their willingness to come to work, everyday. They don’t even deserve one star. Horrible customer service my first time and last one shopping here. Went to make an online order paying with my project loan and they started making faces and saying they don’t know how to do it without trying “ Just said we don’t know how to do it and that’s okay, but don’t be giving me bad faces and attitude” . Rather than shop here go to 54th or alpine is a drive but is worth it.

I prefer the Blue store, Brand loyalty is the only reason at this point. when Blue doesnt have what I need I come here. Employees are helpful if you ask for help. Generally have anything your looking for if a home improvement box store will carry it. Biggest downside is that the hours are not as convenient as Blue.

We have a bad experience with Home Depot. 8 weeks ago, we decided to change our countertops, so we went Home Depot and talked with Ron works in Home Depot.He said that after ordering, we have to wait for 8 weeks and if we want, we can change the sink. We decided to change the sink as well and got a new size with the approval of one of the Home Depot employees we spoke to on the phone. But unfortunately, after 8 weeks, when they came to install the countertops, it became clear that the countertops were cut to the size of the previous sink and we had to buy the sink with the previous size. We went to the home depot and talked to them about their mistake, but instead of apologizing, they started arguing with us and did not take responsibility for their work. Home Depot Works with other companies and unfortunately they do not coordinate with each other and when you contact them everyone gives you new information and you are not sure which one is right And because there is no evidence here such as email or text, no one accepts responsibility for what went wrong. They respect you before they receive money from you, and after that it does not matter if you are satisfied as a customer or not because they received their own money. We paid $4000, but unfortunately we are not satisfied with what is now. We don’t have water because we had to return the sink and order a new again with the same size😡

This Hone Depot is usually very well staffed, kept clean, and usually well stocked. I always use the app to help me find where the products are in the store and make sure that they are in stock. I am typically at Home Depot at least once per week and I often find good deals on most everything I need.

Because of a recent injury I used a motorised cart to shop. I could not believe the number of aisles blocked by boxes or equipment or staff working as I attempted to shop or reach the rest room. Management has neglected to train staff to make this store always handicapped accessible. Persons with permant disabilities can expect to have a difficult time navigating this store.

I had a great experience here! I needed a fire pit for a weekend gathering and had no luck finding one anywhere, online or otherwise. I stopped here without much hope, but they apparently had just gotten some back in stock. Sadly, they weren’t unpacked yet (see picture). I ended up asking a woman named Anna for help and she went above and beyond to find someone else to help (Andrew, thank you too!) to get the fire pit unpacked right away so I could take one home! This will certainly be my first stop next time!

Do not purchase any appliances from this store. They use RAS Logistics to deliver their products and they set a time window to deliver and made a scene about how the drivers were irresponsible when I called them. Ben from RAS was telling me how they were irresponsible and did not deliver any items and the ones they did they damaged homes. When I called Home Depot and spoke to Jamie and tried to speak to her manager Paul but he wasnt in apparently. The delivery driver called me the day before and never showed and Home Depot didnt care even when I told her RAS told me all this. They never sent a refund receipt so I called back on 09/03/2020 three days later and it was less than what I paid. So I bought a refrigerator that never was attempted to be delivered and your going to refund partial of my money. When I spoke to RAS Logistics they notified they didnt know where the truck was or if the drivers even had the refrigerator anymore. I notified Jamie and she didnt seem to care but notified the drivers were lost, if that was the case why wasnt I notified? They told me they were irresponsible drivers that the managers have4 been trying to get a hold of them all day for prior damage from their previous deliveries. I was told different stories and Jamie notified she refunded the 2305.80 to my original payment that I have received or gotten a receipt for the return. I called on 09/03/2020 because it has been three days and no refund and I spoke to Jessica from Utah and she sent me the receipt but it was not the full amount that she4 be returned. So now I have about 6,000 worth of appliances that I canceled as I havent received the first one which was a refrigerator so I dont want to have the same thing happen for the stove and microwave. I am unable to purchase new ones until I receive these credits that they are refusing to give me back. The stove and microwave were going to be delivered in late October 2020 which is more than a month and a half away but they took the money out of my account. Now they dont want to return the funds so I am able to purchase my new appliances and I had the appliances taken out 3 weeks ago since I knew these new ones were coming. I purchased a refrigerator previously so I had one to use while I waited for the one that never showed. Do not buy appliances at places like this they use third party delivery people who never show and dont care your out 6,000. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Soo much to look at when you have a reno project!! Got our lights! Be sure to check out the huge variety of styles & colors online first to narrow down your shopping trip. They are very helpful & friendly there, so ask if you need any kind of help. Only reason it was 4 instead of 5 star, the siding had no samples & its difficult to approve a major expense without seeing it bigger than a matchbook cover picture. Otherwise exemplary!!

I love shopping at Home Depot, but the 28th street location is a mess. I would rather go to one of the Wyoming locations or Lowe’s down the road. I sat in my vehicle for 20 minutes waiting for a curbside pickup until I went in myself to get the order, where I waited another 5 minutes. Lowe’s curbside down the road takes under 3 minutes every time.

They will rent out completely defective tools and vans and offer no refund or recourse when confronted about this situation. Brandon the “manager” acknowledged the issue but offered 0 help true to form. And the tool rental guy is bitter and rude because he is still working in his seventies. This Home Depot is a scam. I visited Home Depot for a Custom Countertop. I picked out what I wanted on their display wall. There was one customer in front of me. It only was a 5 to 6 minute wait. The gentleman who waited on me got my quote available in minutes. I paid my complete order right at the quote. I needed to buy a sink, so I went right to the aisle he told me and sink he suggested and it was in stock. A separate company called to measure and they were nice and efficient. He went back to his truck for a mask because we asked and he removed his shoes. We have to connect our own sink or hire a plumber because the install company for the countertop does not install sinks.

We bought a countertop from this Home Depot. It was the worst experience Ive ever had with a contractor. First, they incorrectly cut the sink cutout and then put a yellow tinted filler in the joint between the white quartz slabs and thought it was fine. The second install with the correctly cut sink opening, they tried to add 1/2in of shims between the top of the cabinets and the new countertop. All because he was too lazy to check the height of the dishwasher. After I pointed out his error, he just pushed all the shims out and left them inside my cabinets. Ill never go to Home Depot for this type of work ever again.

We ordered a Frigidaire fridge from Home Depot on October 22, 2020. It was delivered on November 6, 2020. The delivery people were extremely disappointing, as compared to the delivery that we experienced with our previous fridge purchase from Home Depot about 5 years ago. Even though I paid for setup, they refused to reverse the doors, in spite of the fact that they had to remove them to get the fridge in the house. They left it with the protective wrap, packing, tape, etc. When I got home from work, I had hours of work to do. And then, they either laid it on its side, or let it tip over in their truck, because they said that we couldnt plug it in for 24 hours. Very inconsiderate of the customers needs, if you ask me. Maybe it did fall over in their truck, because it stopped cooling after 2 weeks. Early Monday morning, I was on the phone, struggling to get some help. After many frustrating hours of screwing around on the phone and internet, I finally got ahold of the local business that preforms warranty service for Frigidaire. Grand Rapids is the second largest metropolis in Michigan, but theres only one warranty provider. They told me that they were booked up until after Thanksgiving. The Monday after Thanksgiving, the technician came, and said that he was going to have to order a condenser, and would return the following Monday to get the fridge working. That was today---no show. They are supposed to come back on Thursday, but I have no idea when I will have a working fridge, or how long it will last before I have to repeat this whole nightmare. I didnt have time to fully explain how miserable this experience has been, but suffice to say that I learned my lesson about buying from a big box store. As long as there are locally owned appliance stores, I will never buy another appliance from anyone else. A locally owned appliance store would not have left us without a fridge for 3 weeks. I have been talking to everyone I know, and it seems that the fridges from the big box stores are cheaper-built, and only last 4-7 years, whereas the fridges from the local appliance stores last 15 years. Anyway, I am not a happy customer.

Terrible customer service. I ordered an item online for curbside pickup. I arrived at 6:06 to find out curbside pickup pickup ended at 6. There was no way to know that before driving out here. I went inside to get my item, and gave my phone number. It took 20 minutes to find it and bring it to the front of the store.

I wasnt very impressed. Employee doing something blocking the aisle with him and a cart, never looked up at me. A friendly customer moved it for me, then continued to try to get the employees attention. The item I was after showed 3 in stock. There was only one, box open, parts strewn about. I love Home Depot, but this location needs work.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We went to this location after no help at Lowe’s hoping for a better experience. We made an appointment on Sunday 8/23 for 6:30 on 8/25 with Ron. We get an email on Tuesday right before our appointment time saying it’s been cancelled. We call and Ron is saying our appointment was booked at 5:45 and they can’t help us until tomorrow. Who ever was working in that department on Sunday evening clearly has no clue what’s going on. We will be taking our business elsewhere and making sure we can stop as many people as possible from giving this location business.

Love this place when needed for a quick trip. Very good floor layout and easy direction to follow to find anything I want. Always have someone in the staff to ask for help and they are easy accessible.

Shopping for a shower curtain rod, quick trip right? Both aisles cordoned off, someone buying a bath faucet, someone else buying a kitchen sink. Very little is in advertised location at this store.

We went there to look at flooring and we were offered help right away, they showed us what we should be looking at for what we wanted and then gave us some space to talk amongst ourselves. They were super friendly and informative. Obviously Home Depot has a ton of things to offer but you will always find friendly, informative, and attentive staff at this location!

Hey Home Depot - Bernie Marcus is one reason to not ship at your stores. Your total abdication of responsibility for customer safety is a better one. Your employees don’t wear masks or leave their noses out. You don’t even try to get customers to wear them even when it’s a state law. So long. My last trip to HD was today.

I normally shop at Home Depot in Kentwood. I’ve gone there for blinds and carpeting before. I will never do it again. I purchased a carpet and was awaiting installation. I spent over $7000 on carpeting and I received a call one hour before the installation informing me that they were not coming because the carpet was defective. Apparently it is not normal for them to look at the carpeting when it comes in. They wait until the morning of the insulation to actually look at the carpet. That being said I had an entire upstairs of my house that I had to move out of the way for them to install my carpet. After moving all of our clothes and everything out of our closets along with everything off the floors in 4 bedrooms, they did not show up.I spoke with Brenden the “ flooring specialty” manager.He promised me that Home Depot would “make it right with me“. He explained to me that they special ordered and rushed my new carpet for insulation and that it would be in within the week and then I would have it installed a couple days later. This did not happen. In fact, the carpet did not get installed for three weeks .There were several times I called to check on the status of my order and he said he would get back to me and never did. He made me a promise that he would talk with the installers to make sure that when the carpet came in they would look at it and check to make sure it wasn’t defective as we were living with our house in disarray ( for3 weeks) because everything from upstairs had been moved to the lower two levels. This did not happen. I also called CFI the installer to ensure that they would look at it when it came in and they did not. I obviously was very upset and I asked the manager why no one would unroll the carpet and check it as I was promised. He said the warehouse is too small but that they would be discounting my carpet and he would get back to me in two days on a Monday. That never happened. I usually don’t write long negative reviews however after having my carpet installed finally, my carpet is now unraveling at the top of the stairs. This is the final straw. I spoke with a different manager this morning as I refuse to deal with the specialty floor manager Brenden anymore . I find him telling me what I want to hear to make me happy and not actually following through on any of his promises. I am awaiting Home Depot to have my carpet fixed and I may reevaluate this review once that is complete however The process of getting carpet installed from them has been lengthy, frustrating, and very unsatisfying.I do not appreciate a manager making promises just to make me happy and not actually doing anything about the problem at hand.Every time I called or stopped into the store he would say, “ I was just going to call you”.I know he wasn’t ever going to follow through on anything he said.Never again will I order carpet from them. CFI is the installer and 2/3 of the installers showed up so they were at my house until after 9 pm. Then, I think they were waiting for a tip ???I’m disappointed with the entire process.

Brenden that works in Appliances is a Godsend! I explained that my refrigerator compressor went out and that I needed a new fridge immediately. All refrigerators are back-ordered so he let me take one directly from the floor. He wrapped it up himself with plastic and moved it to my truck for me. When I tried to tip him $60, he refused to take it. This guy is a solid brick of gold.

Terrible customer service! They brought the wrong order out to me after waiting 20 minutes in the curbside pickup.Then it was at least another 20 minutes before I finally got the correct one.
