I love the deals here. I know its because they are struggling to stay open. But the deals on cloths and bedding. Girl bed bath and who. The inventory leaves some to be desired. The savings is galore.

Great place to shop for deals online and Vans merchandise for friends. Did you stop selling Claiborne for men? Their styles arent the same. Perhaps the best place to find Levis at a good price. I found great deals for a young guy I was trying to help thru online purchases. Its amazing what a little over $200 can purchase. My Dad could only find his kind of jeans there. Did I not hear something?????

Tax free weekend! Busy but everything still kept neat and easy check out with lots of registers open. Great deals and professional workers.

Pennys never has enough staff. That said, it was lunch time and check out lines were ten deep. The sales were excellent!!! Howwver the cashiers were polite and kind dispite the lack of help. It was worth the wait!!!!I SAVED A BUNDLE.

They have a really great selection for boys and mens sizes..Our daughter didnt have much luck in the girls section..It was mostly crop tops and our 10 year cannot wear that to school..lol

I did not expect to have such a great experience but I did! I took the kids in for some pictures in the portrait studio and the photographer was EXCELLENT! She was creative and captured our happiness- I highly Recommend the Portrait Studio at JC Penney for family photos! The shopping there however is not great, standing in line waiting for the one counter that actually has live people there to check you out is a downer and skip the Disney store too, no selection and too pricey.

Ms. Carol was awesome. She found what I was looking for even though it was not her department. Now that is customer service. Her department is womens dresses

I love JCP. I get all of my towels and some linens there. And can always get some fabulous shoes on sale.

Man... Sad. The store is just empty. The makeup section is about all there is to see in the whole store. I remember when this store was booming. I gave three stars cause it was clean and organized enough for the small amount in the building but no selections really and no associates ever approached me (not sure if thats new policy or not) actually not sure I saw but one and she was doing her best at the register. Not sure how much longer this once great store will hold out at this location.

JC Penneys Dept store is okay, except that occasionally the sales associates are hard to find when you need to check out your merchandise. Other than that, JC Penneys Dept store is a reputable Dept store. The store needs Improvement on its sales associates availability for the JC JCPenneys stores customers when necessary.

I love this store because I always find good deals. When I compared the prices between them and Dillards or Macys for a suit, lets put it this way I paid 60 dollars for a whole suit at JCPENNY verses 80 for blazer and 60 for pants at the other stores I mentioned

My husband likes the Stratford shirts and dress slacks. I wish they would have in store a variety of different color Strafford short sleeve dress shirt. Like Pennys for anything.

I love this place and its prices. However, I dont know whats going on. It might be the after effects of COVID. The place was so empty and the store looks like its about to shut down. The feel of the unstocked shelves and vast majority of empty spaces was just too much.

The JC Penney salon is my go-to place for personal services. The staff is very friendly and capable of serving a diverse clientele.

I was happy until I went to check out. Now I know why Pennys is going broke. I couldnt find anybody to check me out. the lady in the jewelry department was rude, and I finally found somebody in a bedding department to check me out. that lady was wonderful. I wanted to get five stars but I can only give three. a business must have somebody to collect the money if they want to stay in business. If you forget about the cash registers oh, you might as well go ahead and close the doors

There are customers willing to give you (J C Penney) money in exchange for your products, yet you limit our ability to buy these products (thus, provide revenue to you ) when you only operate two registers and we are backed up 8-10 customers deep (three days after your biggest sales holiday - Christmas)

Checking out was complete chaos at the rivergate location. Staff was so so. Fyi, to check out, go to the back of the store with only one place to check out and one long line.

The stores is clean and well-stocked with affordable prices. Also Covid-19 measures are being enforced.

A store associate waited until 6pm that Saturday to announce on the PPA system that the store is closed. When does JC Penney ever close at 6 on a Saturday? There was no five or ten-minute announcement to let customers know that they were closing, so how can we know?

Variety of clothes, shoes, purses, etc at somewhat reasonable prices. My only warning is DO NOT BUY GOOFY CARDS TO GET THE EXTRA 10% OFF! If you do and give it as a gift and the person has to return it for whatever reason, they will only put the money back on a gift card even if its a small balance. This is from personal experience. I even tried to purchase a gold chain to use what was left on the gift card but unfortunately they didnt have the size I needed. I ended up having to go online and buy things I wouldnt have normally purchased.

I love this J C Penney. Whenever I have to return something I order online, I take it back here. I get a credit immediately and they take care of it.

We were coming here to buy a dress shirt and dress pants for a wedding for a decent price. We got that, plus so much more! We were searching for probably an hour trying to figure out what size dress shirt we needed, and then along comes Bill like a magical wizard to whip out his measuring tape. He took 3 measurements and pulled every option of what we thought we might be looking for. Going in I really didnt think anyone worked there outside of cashiers, but I was so wrong. Bill really made my experience there so much better than I could have imagined! Thanks Bill!

They are well stocked with a lot of beautiful things! I do online shopping and really like it but being inside their store, touching and trying on items...theres nothing like it! I havent been shopping in a while and tonight I realized how much I miss it! Theres nothing like touching the fabrics and looking at all the beautiful fashion! Who doesnt love JCPenney! I always find the best towels the best bedding and now the photo center is the bomb. The staff at the photo center is absolutely wonderful she knows her business. The photographer is outstanding. Highly recommend their photography center

Very small selection of toddler and baby clothes. Not very well stocked in sizes in general for men, women, or kids.

Was clothes shopping. Had to track down someone to help me figure out my dress shirt size but then was good to go. Got some good deals I think.

Love going here with my girls. We always try out all the beds and they like the toy section. Its a department store so not much difference in any of them. Pennies is central to the food court and the middle of the mall so its a good place to park Regardless if youre shopping there.

Very good sales. Service is lacking. Personnel there is very nice but the store does not have enough staff when they have a big sale to take care of customers. They are losing a lot of business because of this fact.

I went in looking for a particular item as I saw online that they had them. Did not have them at all. Nice and clean but does not have enough employees. You have to walk around in other departments to see if they know about what you are looking for. First time Ive been in a JC PENNEY store in 40 years. I wont go back again.

I purchased a mattress here some weeks ago. I was told by the associate it would be delivered by Sept. 4. I scooted my schedule around to make sure I’d be home, waited for a call to set up delivery. Long story short, today is September 10 and I’ve just received the mattress. I only knew it wouldn’t be delivered by the 4th because I contacted customer service a couple of days before. Otherwise, communication was completely lacking. Then when it did arrive, I’m told they can’t haul my old mattress because of some 20 yr old stains. The sales associate in store hadn’t mentioned when I paid for the haul away service that there would be stipulations. Now I have to pay to rent a truck to haul it myself. Definitely would not recommend buying anything bigger than you can carry from this store.

I shop here 5-10 times a month-both in store and online. The selection is great and so are the sales and coupons! The Sales Associates at the Rivergate Mall location are the friendliest and the most knowledgeable of their products in the Nashville area by far.
