They have reorganized/remodeled the store. Definitely feels more spacious, and a better layout to find what youre looking for. The new staff were courteous and helpful and not overbearing with upsells. The employees genuinely seem like they want you as a satisfied customer and not another number to push product onto.

I don’t normally leave reviews, good or bad, but just wanted everyone to know that if you’re trying to call then don’t even waste the time. I sat on the phone for 10 minutes listening to it ring before finally hanging up. Over the phone customer service is absolutely horrible.

The people who answer like carrie like to lie about not taking trade ins on products that are clearly on the companys websites with the trade in value.. another store purposely dodging trade ins.

Returned a disc we thought didnt work and paid $30 for new disc and it doesnt work either wasted $30 and the disc wasnt even the problem. Still dont know what the problem is. Gonna call tomorrow

GameStop this is the kind of manager you give regions to. I almost always buy what Nathan suggests. He doesnt make you feel like just another face in the crowd.

Went to the store on 1/5/2019, and attempted to buy a game. The game I ended up purchasing was a fake copy, and my console didn’t read the disc.Tried to return it and get the same game, but that disc was also a fake copy.I believe GameStop should check the authenticity of the game before a customer purchases the game.Rating it two stars because the employees were concerned about the issue and helped me best they could.

Customer service wasnt too bad. Took a bunch of games in for trade in hopes of putting the credit down on a newer system. Ten or so games, didnt even get 10 dollars! I really felt cheated. But what can you do... I wasnt looking for $100 or anything like that. Maybe 20 bucks. But, nope! Kind of sad. And I know it wasnt the customer service persons doings. I know it is in the system. So I certainly do not hold that against her.

Like the business model, shop there often, wish they paid better on trades or sold used ones cheaper. To much profit in my opinion.

Good selection of games, had to go all the way to Gardendale to get the game my son wanted but was well worth it to see his face when he saw it.

Pretty sad when the used game I wanted to buy was 10 dollars more than the brand new version that I was able to buy across the street.

They treat everyone in the store like family. I stop by sometimes even when I don’t have anything in mind to buy, but just to give the employees feedback on the games I’ve already purchased and things I’m looking forward to! They are truly my friends!

The staff here was inviting and perscipacious,I only went here to purchase a specific item that wasnt available. The employee was so personable and knowledgeable of the gaming industry that I left spending almost $200 that I didnt anticipate spending. These are the employees that make your business successful. I purchased a Nintendo switch during evening shift about a week ago for $300 bucks and spent an additional amount on insurance for my fourth grader. Today I went in midday for a small gift for a family member which amounted to 2 pair of socks priced at buy one get one half off. The gentleman resembles one that used to be at the 5points west location and is now at gardendale. One pair of socks rung up correctly, the second pair was on the same rack with multiple pairs of the same socks for the same price however they rung up for double what was advertised. I asked the gentleman about it and he told me to “read what it says” which I did read an entire row aloud but every sock on the display was inappropriately matched (merchandising issue for the store). Nevertheless l asked the gentleman to ring up the appropriately priced socks twice and I would pay now and go to the opposite side of the display to grab the second pair once I paid so I wouldn’t hold up the line. His response was “it’s 7.99 is that a problem for you (rolled his eyes ) and with a cavalier attitude snarled is there anything else I could help you with while putting his hands in his pockets” . I pulled my debit card from the machine and asked him if his was getting an attitude with me (especially since you haven’t stocked your store appropriately), he said “I’m asking you a question”. I asked him to cancel the transaction and I left the store . DO NOT SHOP HERE. At least not until after 5. Day shift sucks. Shame on you GameStop! I will definitely spend my monies with a more inviting company.

Had what we wanted at a good price.

Bought a Xbox 360 console, extra USED controller, and several games.. Got home and controller doesnt work, brought it back to the store and the rude employee wouldnt give me a NEW controller for the inconvenience which he did apologize for. When Im spending money at a corporate chain I expect good products and service, should have went to a pawn shop.

These guys should really consider updating the hours on their google business profile. I looked them up, google said that they’re open. I get there and Lo & behold; the sign on the door said that they don’t open until 12... I hate that I wasted my gas coming up.

I have bought a lot of things from this place over the years and have always had excellent service but particularly today I think Anothy Barnes Should have a raise he is an excellent funny and nice hard worker!

Best products, however prices are even crazier higher after check out i still would recommoned 100% just be careful what you all else is good.

Went there on 12/20/18 new people were running it now letting customer go in there storage room that not only dumb for is a law suit waiting to help. Ask one guy a question of pc gaming he didnt even know what I was talking about. If you know something about gaming you good but if you dont know anything find some where else to shop cause the people would not know what a video game is if it hit them in the face.

My husband my son and I went in to this location around 8:00pm on July 15, 2016. There were two associates behind the counter helping two customers. We walked in and were NOT greeted. No one asked if we needed help or even acknowledged us. I realize they were busy with those customers but the customer who walked in about two minutes after us was greeted with a, Hey man whats up. We browsed for a while until making decisions. We stood in line behind two more people with over $100 worth of items. We were looking to buy a Kinect also. No one even attempted to make eye contact with us. We waited while one associate spoke to the customer about the Xbox he was trying to sell to gamestop. The other was talking after his purchase. We continued to wait. We were met with such horrible customer service that we just walked out.Update: I called the manager to let him know how we felt. He quickly fixed the situation. I am thankful he understood why we were upset.

Excellent, this gamestop makes the gamestop in centerpoint look horrible I got call of duty mw3 (new) here for $54 in centerpoint I got black ops (used) for $64 and the reason its so expensive is because sony uses bluray but $54 for mw3 on ps3 on the release date is pretty darn good if u ask me!

Sorry just overall bad experiences. Maybe I will try them again in 6 months.
