My husband and I made a spontaneous decision to look for a new vehicle recently, always dreading those pushy salesmen. However we were met with complete opposite at Don Ayres Fort Wayne Acura. PJ met us with professionalism and patience. He was the sweetest kid, both professional and polite. We had the best experience with both PJ and the team at Don Ayres. I highly recommend checking them out. We never felt pressured to make the purchase. Our purchase was smooth and we actually enjoyed buying a new ride. Very pleased with the service we received.

Great experience with an online sale! We live in Toledo and could not find a vehicle in our area. We were a bit reluctant about buying a car online; we had never done it before. We found the perfect vehicle at Don Ayres. We called and spoke to McKade Kennedy. He was awesome! He sent us a personal video of the car, pointing everything out, as if we were there in person. We decided to go for it and within 2 days, they had delivered the car in our driveway! We love it! McKade has since followed up with phone calls and several more custom videos based on some of the questions we had about certain features. We would totally buy from them again!

PJ held great professionalism, all while providing the uppermost hospitality. We reached out about a used car at Don Ayres Acura on a Saturday night via Autotrader. We didnt expect to hear from anyone till Monday. We were surprised when their salesmen ,PJ sent a message within a few minutes, and offered to meet at the dealership the next day. We ultimately purchased the vehicle, a 2013 Acura RDX. Bought my 2015 Silverado 1500 in May.Salesmen was very friendly and truck was clean and ready for test drive. Truck has been great overall since I have had it so I will definitely say they are selling quality used vehicles. No complaints there.The complaints...Major: I choose to go through the dealer for financing and explicitly asked to go through Profed and they said absolutely. Well they ran it through Partners First FCU instead and told me it would be another hard pull on my credit to go through Profed even though it was their fault. Now I do business with a bank I would prefer not toMinor: Fast forward to now and my truck has less than 3k miles on it as it is used as a secondary vehicle and driven only a couple times a week. At the time of purchase they put new tires on as part of their recondition process. I now have a tire that has a hole in the sidewall I believe is part of a manufacturing defect. Don Ayers contacted Mastercraft and were told it was a non warranted area and provided no further help. They told me during the buying process the only way they would come down in price is if I opted out of the inspection/reconditioning process, and new tires were part of that as the truck needed them. This is the primary source of my frustration on that issue and not receiving any further help. Especially considering they are generic Mastercraft tires that are $150 at best that they could throw on no problem.I expect a lot more in terms of customer service from a luxury car dealership, especially given they talked themselves up during the buying process that they are so much better than everyone else in town.

Came over from Ohio to buy a car we saw listed online. Inquired early in the morning, and by mid-morning Justin had sent me a full video of the car and we had begun a text exchange for my goals as I was working throughout the day. Justin was very helpful and able to answer all of my questions. I was a little nervous as I drove over that the car would be in worse shape than advertised or that I would have missed something, but the car had been fully detailed and even some of the small scratches Justin had pointed out via photo and video had been taken care of by servicing. The car was in great shape, and Justin was very helpful in person and easy to talk to. Took advantage of CPO financing and Mason was great. I told him up front I was not going to be interested in all of the extras, and he presented them to me but completely respected my opinion and did not create that awkward finance office atmosphere you dread when buying a car. There was no pressure to do anything other than buy the car at the price we agreed on. Justin followed up a few days after the purchase via text just to see how it was going and if I had any questions. This was by far the smoothest car buying experience Ive had on all fronts.

Rick knows so much about the Honda Odyssey! It means even more to us that he personally chooses to drive one with his family. Rick is very easy to work with and you can tell he has a great passion for making sure you get the right car for your needs/wants. If you’re looking for someone who’s not the stereotypical pushy car salesman, then Rick is your man!! Rick does such a good job making sure you know what all the features are and how to operate them. Because he has such a vast knowledge of the Odyssey, all of our questions were answered thoroughly. Rick took the time to make sure we got every feature that we wanted, and we even got a few extra! He worked with us to get a great value for our trade in, price for the Odyssey, and the monthly payments we were hoping for. Everyone at Don Ayres was friendly and helpful. They made the buying experience pleasant. We had our 4 kids with us during the paperwork signing and Craig, with the finance team, was very accommodating and understanding. He made sure we knew what the terms of our lease were and exactly what we were signing. Bought a used jeep from them. Didnt get the vulture hovering feeling from Skyler like most dealerships. Skyler was personable and made me feel welcomed there instead of just a customer. Danny and Mason were also down to earth and easy going. There was no pressure to buy any extras during the signing process. Skyler contacted me very promptly which I did not expect because the initial request for info on the vehicle was a late afternoon/ evening on a weekend. Don Ayres provides a pretty straight forward approach to buy/leasing a vehicle. My wife and I test drove the car, agreed on payment, finalized the purchase all within about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Later that night, I saw a minor cosmetic issue on the back seat of the vehicle. I mentioned it to my sales consultant, and the team there cared so much about something kind of minor, I was impressed.Don Ayres taking over the Fort Wayne Acura dealership will make it very difficult to go elsewhere for me. I highly recommend them.

Worst dealership experience I have ever had. I stopped by after work on Tues Jan 12th to look at a specific vehicle. I arrived at the lot at around 5:40pm and pulled up and parked by the front entrance. There were two guys standing by the window, when I pulled up, watching me park. I shut off my car, got out and walked in the front door where neither of them were anywhere to be seen. I waited in the front entrance for a several minutes before I was finally greeted. They were not busy as I was the only customer on the lot at that time. So I do not know why they disappeared and I had to wait to be helped. When I was finally approached by what I assume was the manager. He asked what I wanted and I told him I wanted to look at a specific car. He said they were getting ready to close, but he would have someone show it to me. He then walked away and a few moments later a salesman comes up to me and introduces himself as Skyler. Skyler walked me to the car, started it up and popped the hood and trunk from the driver seat. He allowed me to look under the hood and in the trunk, but at no time did he ask if I wanted to see inside it or sit in it. Also he shut and then locked the doors with the key fob. After he started it, as he got out to open the hood. After looking it over for a few minutes I asked if we could go on a test drive. Skyler said that his manager said that they stop doing test drives around 5:30. I spent 20 years in the car business, with 15 of them being in sales and finance, before I changed careers and never heard of a dealership not offering test drives, essentially while still within posted business hours. It wasnt like I was asking to drive a new NSX or joyride some high horsepower sports car. I was looking at a reasonably priced 4cyl car. I do not recommend this dealership at all. The only reason I gave it one star is because zero stars is not an option.

I needed service on my MDX as we had lost a key. It slipped between the console and the driver seat. Then it went under the console and seemed un-retrievable. Don Ayers service department had the key retrieved in no time. This saved me the time and trouble of purchasing & programming a replacement key. We tried Carvana and won’t do that again. For an online purchase experience, this went faster and as smoothly as an Amazon Prime purchase with the very added benefit of the personal touch. Skyler and Mason were extremely personable, relatable (we’re all car guys, imagine that!) and very efficient in the entire process. I had inquired about THE car (certified pre-owned 2020 Acura TLX A-Spec that was an employee’s car) online then got very busy with work. By the time I was able to respond to any of the reach outs, it was several days later and 9 PM at night. Skyler answered the few questions we had immediately and when we were finally ready to pull the trigger the next morning, it was a very rapid execution. We couldn’t get to the dealership until after 4:30 the next day (we are an hour and a half away) but were done and out of there by 6:00. Less than 24 hrs from the first question to driving away in our new ride! Over an hour of that time on site was us test driving and then having enjoyable conversation (sorry for keeping you guys late!) but very clear and easy transaction. We were going to pay cash but Acura has 0.99% financing for 36 months (just increased to 60 months this week) for select certified pre-owned models so if you’re familiar with the concept of time value of money, it was a no brainer. The speed, courtesy and conciseness of the process was by far the best we have ever experienced, would purchase from these guys again in a heartbeat. It was very nice to get the personal experience with the speed of an online purchase. We might have to look at an S-Type now when they come out... Overall, 11/10, could not have been a better experience.

First time purchasing a hybrid vehicle and found what I thought was a good deal. Turns out they mileage listed was not entirely correct, what was on they dashboard and all their paperwork was a trip recording and they actual over all mileage was double what was listed. They have done little more than send me in circles with the bank and themselves let alone attempt to rectify the situation. Manager tried to dissuade me from notifying they BBB of the situation because of his five star rating; they are not officially rated on their website. Needless to say 0 out of 5 stars if I could.

I had purchased a used Acura TL and only had one key. I purchased a chipped key online and took it in to our local Acura Dealer and they let me know up front that sometimes “knock off” keys will not take the programming but we will try and get it programmed for you. 20 min later they had my key cut and programmed to my vehicle. You had the garage door opening as I drove up, a loaner car similar to mine, ready for me to use while my car was being serviced, called my cell when my car was ready, and walked me to my car and opened the door for me as I left. The staff at Ft. Wayne Acura is wonderful! It was a pleasure dealing with Theo, Daniel, Alice, and Josh. I love my new 2020 RDX A-Spec. This is my first Acura and definitely won’t be my last. Next time I need a new car, Ft Wayne Acura will be the first place I go.

Not a place Id ever buy a car from again or ever recommend to anyone. The single worst new car buying experience of my life was at Fort Wayne Acura this June. Horrible communication. Broken promises. Some botched upgrades. Really just felt like they either didnt want to listen to me or just could care less about my needs. Though Troy, the service manager, did have to lean in heavily here to help me out. I should have been the easiest sale ever as I knew exactly what I wanted...but this entire process has been painful and an example of the poorest customer service I think Ive ever seen. Im just one example, so maybe you have a different experience...but for what its worth, Id recommend going to a different city if you are looking for a new Acura.UPDATE - THIS REVIEW APPEARS TO BE REMOVED FROM PUBLIC REVIEW, LIKELY BY THE DEALERSHIP. Horrible experience! Was there about 1 1/2 hours to do paperwork to purchase a 2020 ILX on the showroom floor. There was a hard sell to do a Lease purchase, which I was told could be switched over to a conventional loan after 90 days. The price and everything was agreed upon, paperwork input into the system, etc. The next day, I said I was not interested in the Lease, just wanted to do a loan at 0.9%. The store manager, Scott, text me the next day to say he had made a mistake on the pricing...he claimed he thought it was a 2019 on the showroom floor. The deal was off but he could find me a 2019 for the same deal. Very unprofessional and did not seem like a mistake at all since all of his numbers were for a 2020 model!

Needed warranty work done. Service Manager super politely scheduled at my convenience. While waiting, he and office manager checked in on me no fewer than six times, offering refreshments, a ride to run errands, etc. I requested a scheduled service and tire check that were all finished under original time quoted. Service Manager covered service work, invoice & suggested additional services that will need attention eventually, but no pressure. A fresh experience from what I was accustomed to at other dealerships.
