He said YES they do for $39.99. I made an appt. to bring it in the next day.The next day John was so nice and made me feel welcomed into the shop. He took the car drove it and did a thorough check. John then wrote up everything that he found and also quoted the cost for repair and or part. I was so happy with the service, my boyfriend was with me and John WOW’ed him with his knowledge and quality service. I purchased the car and it’s coming right back to John for repairs. I called to ask about getting a headlight replaced, the guy was rude to start stating he wouldn’t be able to get me in “right this moment” when he did not even give me a chance to speak or ask any questions aside from asking if they replaced headlights in my vehicle (because it is a difficult vehicle to change). I said no, I did not expect that so I proceeded to ask if I needed to get a headlight and bring it or if they had a supplier that they ordered and I just pay their fee, the guy’s exact words were “obviously I’m not going to have the headlight so you’re going to have to get that”. The tire shop I previously used supplied everything with a fee WHICH IS WHY I ASKED. Very unprofessional and if I could give this place zero stars, I would simply from the guy being super rude.

Honest...Fair Pricing...Great to work with.Went in for an oil change, brakes and quote on tires. I use a synthetic blend oil and their price was almost half of what I was quoted from a local franchise. I told John I wanted brakes all the way around. They removed the wheels to check the brakes and told me the rear brakes were fine...all I needed was to replace the front. They could have easily made money on the unneeded rear brakes, but instead, they did the right thing. I love it when I catch someone that I am doing business with, in the Act Of Being Honest. I ended up with the new tires too....very fair price and great service. Great group of people to do business with. This was my first visit but it wont be my last.

Definitely recommend this place. They were 100 dollars less for my wheel bearing than other quotes I received. I’ve had them effect repairs on other vehicles in the past and never got the unsettling impression They were crooks. They were always professional and was satisfied with the entire experience.

I did not know tires came with a date on them. Mine were over 2 yrs. old. Had to buy another set down the road. Another $350.00 spent a year and a half later! Bummer...Had to replace the tires because had a Nail in them. Out of date by almost 3yrs. Mechanic refused to patch it.

I found South Trail Tire and Auto Repair several years ago. Being a snowbird, I wanted to find someone who I felt was honest and reliable. I am so happy to have found them. My daughter and family use them exclusively now too. They started after having gotten an estimate from a local franchise auto front end work. About half of the work wasnt needed, saving them about $450.00 This time I only needed a flat tire fixed. They didnt plug it due to potential belt separation. They took it off to inspect the interior and patched it from inside. I was in and out in less then an hour after calling. I could go on, but will close with saying I am certain there is likely other honest repair shops in the area, but I will always be a ST supporter.

Recently moved to the Ft Myers area and needed a new mechanic for my 20 year old, 240,000 miles on the clock, Dodge truck. Read some reviews and decided on this place. Brought the Ol gal in at the appointment time and they got on it immediately. 20 minutes and a bit over $50 later I was out the door. They even found and fixed a vacuum hose leak that I didnt know about at no extra charge. I see now why every bay was in use, and most of the parking spots were full when I got there. Not hard to see who my new shop is gonna be! EDIT: Used them two more times. Once just an oil change. Again, appointment time was dead on, in and out. And not just an oil change was going on. I watched as the mechanic/tech peeked, poked, prodded around the front end, walked the truck underneath front to back, checking it out as if it was his own. And SURPRISE! No added well, we found a worn frammis and a bad kanuter valve stuff. Afterwards I needed some front end/suspension work done due to a previous accident, and while I couldnt afford the entire amount, they repaired/replaced enough to make the truck safe to drive on what my cash could handle, and even told me where to get some used tires! If you want your vehicle to last longer for the dollar, this is where to spend it.

Only needed a simple job of fixing a tire leak. Got an appointment for 2 hrs later - not days, turned up on time, and was taken in right away, and job finished in about 30 mins at a great price! I’d recommend these guys - very friendly and they know what they are doing.

Two Honda dealerships in my area told me that they would need to charge me $350 to reprogram my door locks (the remotes were not working) and they were the only ones who could do it because it had to be programmed specifically with my vin number, etc. etc., and on two separate occasions (air bag defect replacements), that I needed thousands of dollars of other additional repairs on my car. NONE of it was true. I took my car to South Trail and Auto on the recommendation of a friend who had been going there for years. South Trail told me about a website where I could order new remotes for $16.50 and program them myself (remotesremotes.com), which I did, and checked my car out thoroughly for a VERY reasonable price with no repairs needed. They are also known for telling you what you need, when you need it, what can be postponed and what is priority. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and personable. I have already recommended them to another friend who also had a VERY positive remarkable experience there with needed car repairs. They will be my go to place from now on for maintenance and repair.

Only willing to sell the most expensive tires even for a quick fix, one blew on the interstate (no nails, no pot hole) and John wasnt willing to back his work.. John also has an discomforting tone for someone in business and the service industry. Get ready to be belittled.. wont be coming back or recommending... had tire fixed at our new residence-said valve stem wasnt cared for/installed properly.. south trails liability! Had my truck lifted at a local 4x4 shop about a year ago. From day 1 I felt one of my wheels (left front) made an odd sound. Took it back to the place that did the lift and they said it was the sound of the rims because of the type of rims I picked. Didn’t think anything about it after that. Fast forward about 8 months. I had noticed over time when making slight right turns I had a shake/vibration. Again, I could feel it on the left front side. So, needing new tires I reached out to South Trail Tire and Auto. After getting a few quotes from them and their recommendations. I decided on the tires I felt would best suit my needs. I also brought to their attention the issues I was having. The quickly discovered the issue and the problem! One of my wheels wasn’t turning all the way bc the previous shop didn’t tighten the bolts up on my lift properly for the steering!! They made the repair and replaced the tires. My truck is as smooth as it was when new! I’m so grateful I connected with this team of professionals. Thank you South Trail!!!

Been down here since I was 6 and Ive NEVER found a mechanic that seemed honest until now AND less expensive than most other places. Recently had to get 2 tires on my wifes car (one was just worn out) they came back with a whole list of things we needed to do and miraculously the next day we started having issues with 2 of the components they said needed work which seemed a little sketchy. We took her car to Southern trail tire and auto and they replaced the parts needed as well as some other small odds and ends for almost $200 LESS than the previous garage and have always been a joy to work with (Ive also had my work van maintenanced there) I will never go to another mechanic even though this shop is out of the way. I used to take my car to the dealership for service. The experience was stressful and costly. I never knew what mysterious problem they would would find that needed to be fixed in addition to the reason that I brought the car in for. When I go to South Trail Auto I get a straight evaluation of my car and I am no longer paying dealership prices for quality workmanship. If South Trail suggest that something be looked at its because it NEEDS to be looked and is not a fabricated problem. I see the valve in the service provided.

A real service business you can trust. Friday 1:00 PM. On vacation on Pine Island and noticed one tire was not going to make it back to NC. No one had this tire in stock in Fort Meyers area and other tire shops were trying to switch me to their brand of tire (sometimes at ridiculous prices). John located a set and rather than wait until delivery on Monday, offered to pick up the tires and insured installation that day. We were out the door with a set of properly balanced tires at 4:45 PM. THANK YOU JOHN AND CREW.

Wow, I brought my Ford Focus in after I ran over some nails near a construction site. I was expecting to be taken for a ride, and be charged an arm and a leg.
