Let me preface this review by saying that the car I brought to Maaco is 50 years old and required some rust removal, repair and repaint, I went to several other body shops who for whatever reason no longer work on older cars. So Maaco was awesome enough to accept the job. The car was taken in on time and was completed within a reasonable amount of time. The rust repair work was done awesome and the paint job also was done excellently.The issue is that the car was painted a very different color and then what was selected. Being that the car is 50 years old I chose an old school green color that was appropriate for 1973, when I went to pick up the car the car was painted instead of a 1970s avocado green it was a really dark rich aqua blue. At first I was pretty mad but for whatever reason the incorrect color looked really good on the car. So after paying a good look at the car I decided to not cause a fuss and accept the paint job the way it is. I must say the car looks awesome, not exactly the color I wanted but overall they did do a excellent job with the car. I would just recommend if you go there to have work done double double check the paint color you select

You get what you pay for. Couple paint runs, few areas where they were wiping off the over spray and the rag hit the new paint and took it off. But what really bothered me was 3 of the 4 end caps on the luggage rack broke when they removed them. Thankfully they didnt blow off driving home and hit another car. Just going to cost me a few bucks to replace them.EDITED FOR REPLY. That is a completely false statement, I was not advised of this at all. In fact I am posting pictures of the end caps as proof that they were not sun damaged alone with a picture of the only one they didnt break.I would agree the staff is friendly.

Went to Maaco to get my car fixed up after a car accident, not only did they get my estimate done quickly but the service was great. They fixed my car up and made it look all brand new, not sure who did the paint job but the paint job was awesome and the mechanic Jose was awesome as well! Thank you Maaco

I booked Maaco a month out and was glad I waited. I had oxidation and extensive sun damages but no dents, rust or damage. Took 9 days to complete. Contact and updates were handled professionally. These same folks painted my MGB a few years back and I wanted the premium package for this car ($2200+ taxes). The color match was spot on. The patched up dings and logo holes were ok I can still see the drill holes on trunk from a spoiler I removed but only I would know where to look. The 5 year warranty will cover any issues of application and quality so I am confident in this Maacos service and commitment. I met the 3 guys who did the sanding, taping and spraying to tip them and encourage you do the same. These guys know what they are doing and you can trust the result will be satisfactory!

Richard and the guys from Maaco did an incredible job changing the color of my 67 Chevy. The paint looks great and they did a lot of extra work including removing a hood scoop and sanding it down, installing new chrome, etc. Their pricing was fantastic and their work was top notch. Thanks guys !

Maaco employees were courteous and professional. Paint was perfect. Only disappointment was the Gas filler cap cover that has not yet come in.

I was asking about a particular service and they were dismissive. Its fine, lots of places to choose from.Okay I changed the review to 3 stars, from 2. I completely understand the long lead time and the challenge hiring employees as I own a couple businesses myself. But the person I was asking about services provided lacks customer service skills. He was very short with me and acted like he was doing me a favor by even picking up the phone. Anyway, I will consider removing the review completely once you have seen this feedback. As a business owner I would want to know that we would have scheduled the service had the person been interested in our business at all.

I actually should have written this three years ago when they did the work for me (my bad). It’s way to easy to post when a business screws up, but great business should be rewarded even more. They redid a bumper cover for my s2000 that was absolutely butchered 3 times by another shop (it was a new OEM cover and they had the whole original cover for paint match-see my other review for a pic of it). This Macco sanded and refinished the cover flawlessly first try. (using just the gas door for the match). Price was very reasonable since they were also undoing someone else’s mistake.

I was extremely satisfied with the level of service performed with the strip & repaint of the hood & roof of our truck. It looked like brand new when they were finished. The price was very fair with the amount of work that it took to get it to showroom condition. We would recommend them to anyone who has an older vehicle that the paint is distressed due to the sun. Wonderful job guys.

I took my 2011 Camaro to Maaco in Ft Myers for a full paint job. Not all the paint was sun damaged but it didnt make sense not to paint the whole car. I did not want to spend a lot of money because Im only keeping the car for another one to two years. I had gotten previous estimates for around $3000. I opted for the urethane plus clear single stage paint. With the prep work I was out the door for around $1600. I did not expect perfection especially with the car being black. I was originally told they would need the car about a week but call me after 4 days to tell me it was finished. Overall I am very happy with the job Maaco did. It had quite a bit of orange peel at first but after almost a month a lot of it has going away. There are a couple minor runs that I may wet sand out later. I would recommend Maaco in Fort Myers to anyone who wants a decent quality paint job without breaking the bank.

Sorry we are finishing up, come at 11:30am. “Me get there” sorry wait 20 minutes in the parking lot. Paint had small bubbles that I would need to come back for “I wont, not worth my time or low quality” and my black paint had a brown spot in the corner when shining in the sun “they offered to redo it, not worth 1 week of my life, they lost my trust”. I will not go back, thats my story and I would not recommend them. Owner had an attitude with me. 1 star because they dont have 0 stars.

I took my 1976 MGB in for an estimate and appraisal. This was my fifth estimate at five different places. I explained the car wasnt going to a showrroom but I did want certain body areas fixed and described how I would like the paint job to go. The person provided excellent review of the project and how long it would take. I couldnt be more pleased at the outcome. The final cost was exactly the amount as the estimate. I think the paint job itself was excellent. I would highly recommend the staff and quality of work they have provided.

Took a used fiberglass tonneau cover to get color matched to a 2018 GMC Sierra. Cover had a deep gauge and they painted over the damage. Hard to believe they would do that. Disappointed because they color matched it perfect. Was told afterward that it would have cost more to fix this. I didn’t care if it cost more, I wanted it done right. Price was not an issue at all. They have tried to cover up their story since, and make it out like I was trying to get something for free. I was very professional. They let someone quote this who wasn’t qualified, and then lied to me saying I refused to pay for the additional work. I was never concerned about the price. Just wanted it to look new.

I stopped by for a quote to have my F150 pick-up truck painted. They were very efficient and the price I was quoted was very fair.

I took my 300 c chrysler in to be painted and I picked out the most expensive paint package they had didnt mind spending the money on what I wanted. A week later they call and say my cars ready I was excited when I got down there and looked at my car I was stuned how they would call it a good paint job .My car had bumps all over it and some places didnt even have paint on it.So I pointed this out and the guy said it was dirt that came from underneath my chrome i laughed because even though the car needed a paint job it was fully detailed before going there it didnt have dirt under my chrome then he said well it looks better then when it came in . Well for 2,700 that I was paying i wasnt happy so I left the car the next day my husband went down there with me and they were so nasty to us it was unbelievable. NEVER WILL I USE MACO AGAIN

Matt Was excellent! At the time I walked in the door concerned about my vehicle and all the damage that was done, did the process of repair he was very professional. He kept me up-to-date every step of the way. The bodywork The body work was excellent! I highly recommend these guys for auto body repair.

My truck had rust and horribly faded paint. They repaired damage and painted in four days and came in at the lowest price in the area. They also educated me in what to do to keep my paint lasting long time.

I got the front half of my car painted and it looked amazing! The price was the lowest I could find in Fort Myers. They also cleaned my car on the inside which I did not expect, so that was great too! Definitely recommend!

Paid for the top of the line paint job assuming that it would be quality. Great that it came with a 5 year warranty, but Ive had to return for warranty repaint twice so far due to oxidation in only 2 years I anticipate this will keep happening. When I returned the second time I was informed the car would be repainted in a day. After dropping the vehicle off at an AGREED upon date, I was subsequently informed the job would take 3 days creating a huge inconvenience for my family. Corporate was not willing to help.Reading additional reviews, it seems this is a common occurrence, and likely the paid for top of the line paint and service was not delivered.

Richard and Mariah are awesome! The other driver’s insurance, Allstate, gave an incorrect estimate on length of time for repairs and tried sticking me with a $300 rental car bill. Maaco endured my numerous calls and even called Allstate several times trying to clear it up. Mariah manually wrote each detail down showing where there were discrepancies. After a week, Allstate finally agreed to pick up the rest of the bill. Most importantly, the car looks like it just came off the lot after it was in a pretty serious collision. Overall, Maaco goes above and beyond for their customers and they do great work as well.

Recently, I decided to get my wifes car painted as a Christmas present. Its a 15 year old Mazda Miata in very good mechanical condition, but the paint was faded and peeling. The paint was so bad, we were ashamed to be seen in it.I had visited several local paint and body shops to get estimates for repainting the car, but all of them were way over the limit of my budget. Most of the estimates I received actually exceeded the blue book value of the car.Im not one to give up easily, so I continued searching for someone who would do quality work at a price I could afford. Thats when I visited Maaco of Fort Myers and Im glad I found them.I got a price quote that was so much lower than previous estimates that I was concerned about the quality I would receive. I have used this Maaco location for several cars. They offer excellent quality workmanship to keep a middle-aged car looking new at reasonable prices. They also finish the work at the time promised.

Long story short they fixed the wrong bumper because of an invoice mix up and they made it right and there work was flawless and there customer service the best and they have a customer for life. Most places never admit any responsibility for a mistake nor fix it 100% kudos to maaco

My husband and I purchased our son his first car and were in need of some paint work and rust repair. I took it to Maaco Fort Myers and was greeted by Evelyn. From the start, she made sure that she explained the process in detail, priced out each item for me, and helped us decide what we should and should not to on the truck. During the process, she kept in touch with me giving updates, and answering any questions I had. Maaco and Evelyn went above and beyond helping me with a situation that arose when certain parts I had ordered for the vehicle arrived and werent exactly what we needed. I went to Maaco in Fort Myers to have my 1997 red convertible Miata repainted. I chose the best product they offered. I paid $1414 which included a $46 repair. My car looks as though it just came out of the factory. Maaco did a superb paint job. There was also a small repair that was done in passing without my asking or being charged. I would suggest though that there be a closer quality control on the masking as the paint spray appears slightly on some small areas of the black trim which I however easily remedied. The service was very courteous. I would recommend Maaco

Great Service

I needed my driver door and header panel replaced. I dropped the car and replacement parts off late on Monday. I was told it would be done Tuesday and theyd call. They did not call. When I called them they said they didnt get to it and it would be the next day. I went there Wednesday around noon thinking surely theyd be done soon, but they still had not even begun working on the car. To add insult to injury, when explaining how their not keeping to schedule was my fault, the manager got a very unpleasant, demeaning tone to his voice. We did, however, agree that I would be called if any issues with the replacements came up.When I finally got the car back, a bolt fell from the hinge of the door that was replaced, the turn signal keeps falling out of the header panel, and the door wont open all the way because it catches on the frame of the car. When I brought the car back to Maaco to try to get these issues resolved, the manager told me it was my own fault for bringing used parts to replace the old ones, the light was already broken and he didnt see that as being an important reason to call before the job was done, he never should have taken the job, and he did not appreciate getting a call from Maaco (corporate). He stated that he had to shoulder the burden of fixing my car... Yet, Im the one that pays for it. He did however offer to fix the light if I brought in more parts, despite saying he would no longer work with used parts. My car is old and its no longer possible to get new parts for it.Your car will not be done on time, you will be treated like its your fault and that youre stupid when you take issue with it, the work done on your car will not be worth the money you pay for it, and they will not do much to rectify the situation when you come back angry.GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

They are not honest and very poor workmanship. I have reached out to the manager with no resolution and only excuses. This was very poor workmanship. Good companies stand behind their work.

This is my first winter in FL and I had made no plans so I picked up an old car cheap. A ragtop that ran great but looked its age. Maaco, and I mean Jose , brought her to life. Jose did everything he said he was going to and more. Great service very professional, I now love my Sebring.

I sent a car for repairs and was told they could probably fit a bumper I bought online. They even sent me the total cost. When I took it in, I was told the bumper I had bought didn’t fit. I understand that, but the front desk girl was very rude and started telling me why I chose the wrong bumper as she tore open the package with her pocket knife despite the fact she knew I needed to return it. She left a message with the auto body repair person who called me back and said he would let me know what he could do. I left two messages after that, but he never called me back. I ended up doing business elsewhere, and I’m glad I did! Don’t go here!

I had a fairly large scratch on my Ford Fusion and after shopping around, I found that Maacos had the best price. I was happy with the work but I also noticed that all of the change was taken out of my cars coin tray. Overall I would recommend them but I suggest you make sure you take your coins with you when you drop it off.

Went in to have some minor collision work done and wanted to buy their top paint package because the vehicle is very nice and low mileage and I wanted quality. Prices are a lie, quoted me $1200 for repaint --- BUT WAIT, THERES MORE! $800 to remove the trim for the paint job, $800 to pull the hood out .5 inch, etc, etc, etc. --- I was over it and was ready to pay $3500 for some minor bumper adjustment, small hood adjustment and paint. But wait, theres more! Here is the best part, the lady estimator then gets annoyed with me for asking if the vehicle will be returned to me in pre-accident condition, meaning -- I wanted the vehicle to look like it was never in an accident for the large sum of money I was going to pay ($3500)......pretty obvious request, otherwise -- what am I paying for? This was a minor fender bender. She then says to me what do you think you are getting? You ARE at Maaco -- its not going to look new. I was bewildered at the statement. Stunned. What little pride the owner(s) must have in their product. Long story short, the lady tells me the manager doesnt even want to touch it because I would be one of those guys who cares about the job getting done right. It was absurd. I own several companies around the area, so take it from me, these guys need a lot of help and a lesson in how to do business. I dont usually leave negative reviews but it was just pathetic. Their rating reflects as much. I suggest finding a quality organization with customer service ability. By the way, their estimators are on commission, so dont be surprised when they try to bill you hundreds of dollars for removing logos, lights, etc. that they must remove anyway as part of a normal paint job. Its a total ruse. Beware.

Great people friendly staff and very nice

I had my car painted and just under 2 years my clear coat peeled off. I went back for the warranty work and they did not honor it. So now I have less money and a car that looks worse than before I had it painted including a hide scratch on the windshield that was not there before. I went back to see if they could help me with anything, and they said I need a whole new paint job. I kept the estimate to show that the dates of my warranty were still valid for repair. So instead of giving me my warranty they want me to pay for the full service again. I contacted customer service and I got brushed off. If you are the manager or owner of this company you should be ashamed. Customers beware

Paint looks good, but since the paint job, we have been back to have a door panel repaired (not put on properly and broken), also trim falling off car and door handle not put back on properly (just fell off). Beside the paint tech, they must hire high school kids for all the pre work .

Not impressed with the work that was done I complained to the manager he gave me the runaround then when he handed me my key is I realized the keypad for my automatic start was broken. I told the manager and showed him that the entire screen was broke clearly had residue from the shop on it where it hit the floor or was ran over. He then told me it was like that when it came in and there’s nothing he can do to replace it. He said that I could not prove that it was functional when it went in a few days earlier. The entire screen was broken he wiped the residue off and handed it back to me. I would strongly recommend that anybody looking for a paid job go to a real professional I regret going here we’re trying to save a dollar that was certainly disappointed and will never return and will not recommend for any of my friends or family to use them for anything.

Maaco of Ft Myers Rocks!!! We were pooling together $ to have a local young mans car painted in an effort to raise his spirits while he is having a very hard time battling leukemia. They did an absolute GREAT job. The car looks like it just rolled out of a showroom. they even went as far as making all of the repairs on the car where there were missing parts or dents/dings. It was just what the doctor ordered to bring this young mans spirits up he is so excited to be able to drive and show it off when he is physically able. I will be posting before and after pics for you to see as well. BOTTOM LINE WE WOULD RECOMMEND MAACO ANYTIME!!

I have an older model Tauras which runs great but looked terrible. Took it to Maaco. They did a fantastic job of restoring my car to its original state. The staff was extremely courteous and knowledgable. I highly recommend them. I got more than I expected for the price.

I had my car painted at Maaco Fort Myers this month. I am extremely happy with the service provided and with how my car looks. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My 2007 Kia looks like it did the day I bought it.

Called to get an estimate for a color match job for my Jeep Wrangler, just needed it scuffed and repainted to bring the color back to life, easy job. Employee I spoke with stated that because the last Jeep they did was rusted and dented and needed a lot of body work before it could be painted the price would be around $2000, after I explained that there are no dents and there is no rust on my Jeep he said yeah itll still be around $2000 cuz jeeps are tough Ive contacted multiple other automotive paint shops and the most expensive quote Ive gotten other than maaco has been $800. I would recommend shopping around before choosing these scam artists. On top of being seriously overpriced they are rude and lack the fundamental customer service skills needed to succeed in a customer oriented business
