Alexis is so friendly and very knowledgeable about the drinks they serve. I would highly recommend Shipwreckers to anyone looking to try something new in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I also enjoy their wonderful art events. Love the way they support local.

Came here yesterday and absolutely LOVED IT. Best Kava Ive ever had. They have amazing mocktails, make sure to try the Mai Tai. Also this place has amazing decor and the nicest staff! Great kava and coffee bar! Alexis served us, she was friendly and quick. The bar was clean, there was a drag show, it was a blast! Great music, an overall fun time! I highly recommend it.

Mango latte was my first beverage here. Very unique and delicious flavors. Never had a fruit flavored latte before. It was nice and smooth. Also had the peach tea latte. Not my favorite but the cream cheese foam was an interesting touch but not my style. My friend really enjoyed it though. Cool place to try all kinds of different flavors.

Cheese mousse for DAYS! I was not a fan of cheese foam, cheese mousse, any type of cream on teas really, prior to this place. But after having it from Motto, it definitely changed my views. Their cheese foam is nice and thick and just the right consistency & taste. Mix it with your drink of choice and voila, the perfect drinks. I have been coming here often to get a tea fix, especially during these COVID times. Their online ordering systems are easy, which makes it even better since I can just order ahead and pick-up without waiting in line.

First time at this great place ! Barista was lovely and kava was delicious!!Great comedy!!

I placed a pickup order via Google and received a call 5 minutes later being told that they were put of cold brew and werent going to be able to fulfill the order. Despite not being able to fulfill the order, they werent able to cancel the order or provide a refund on their end. When I asked who I needed to reach put to, to cancel the order and to get a refund, they were clueless and unable to provide any direction. I went on to spend nearly 30 minutes calling several different numbers, before being able to cancel the order. Long story short, if this coffee bar is going to use 3rd party sites for orders, then then need to be able to provide assistance and direction to their customers , when they arent able to fulfill orders.

The drinks are so good and tasty! You can tell they really care about using only high quality ingredients in everything. This is a very popular spot so if you go on a weekend be prepared to wait a while; especially if you want to get their famous soufle cakes. We went on a saturday at 1 PM and the line was out the door for drinks, and they said it would be over an hour for the cakes. If you end up going and have some patience enjoy!

Alexis was amazing. Tom was the best bartender. The drag show was AMAZING and the DJ was celebrating his birthday which made the night even more special. Definitely cant wait to get more of Shipwreckers in my life......

Huge fan of Shipwreckers Kava Bar~ On our search for Socal eats and sweets, my sister and I happened upon this place as we were heading back to our hotel. This respectable little tea house was tucked into the fringe of Pasadenas residential-downtown border, a brightly-lit beacon in a sea of sleeping townhouses. Im surprised that theyre located in Pasadena; Id have expected something of their caliber to be closer to the heart of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Nonetheless, a wonderful find during our trip.We were drawn in by the whimsical yet modern decor. The furniture is definitely geared towards style over comfort-- trendy couches and oblong tables arent as cozy, but eye-catching for sure.

One of my favorite places to warm up for a long night. Their stand-up comedy nights were pretty great, the tea is delicious and potent

There are a lot of boba shops and cafes around Fort Lauderdale, FL, but Shipwreckers has earned its status as the gem of Pasadena.This review would be 4 stars even the only thing they sold was their King Grape boba drink (its seriously so delicious it should be your first purchase) but there is so much more. If their fluffy cakes were running for office, I not only think theyd win but Id personally volunteer to be their campaign manager. No payment needed, its a passion project for me.

Shipwreckers Kava Bar is a good 4 stars. They have the best boba pearls. Its smooth, soft, but chewy and perfectly sweetened. The matcha mousse is a smooth mousse, not a foam and you can actually taste the sweet matcha flavor. These two additions made Motto stood out against the competition. Customer service is on point too. I didnt round up to 5 stars because their drinks itself is pretty average.

Most discussing drinks Ive ever had. 1st off they falsely advertise the beverage by showing a $10 drink in a nice glass but serve it in a Dixie cup. Drinks are powdery and it taste like they put cocaine in the drinks cause they instantly made my mouth numb.

The bar is nice and big but the k-tea is very low quality here, it tastes nasty to me and it had little potency, during the lockdowns this was the closest bar I was able to get delivery from and I was disappointed 😞 from almost every drink. Kavasutra is way better.

In regards to their product, their kava and Kratom prices are ridiculous in comparison to kava sutra or any other... this was my first time meeting the staff and entering this environment, very hypocritical.

By far the best kava bar Ive been to, the drinks are strong and the kava is freshly squeezed and made! They dont use premade kava like other company but instead take their time and hand squeeze it! It is almost unreal the care and time they put into making their kratom and kava, (they also have kombucha and coffees)!!The staff is always professional but still extremely light hearted and make sure you not only enjoy your time but also that youre knowledgeable in what youre drinking! Tommy is a mad scientists when it comes to mixing drinks and always make the best kava or kratom mixes drink! If I could give this place more than 5 stars I totally would! They are pet friendly and family friendly as well!

My first experience with a Kava bar. I found the atmosphere appealing to my eyes. The service was friendly and prompt. Mingled with fellow patrons and caught a good vibe. The parrot was a great conversation starter. Definitely a wonderful time and would recommend trying this place out.

Sunday Open Mic is so badass

Shipwreckers is a great place to come and have a great time. Everyone that works here is super friendly and always have a conversation with the customers, the owner Tommy knows everyone’s name too. They have a happy hour special from 4-7 during the week days and 1-4 on the weekends too and everything is half off. They have a bunch of events through out the week like karaoke and trivia. It’s also a great place to study the music is never to loud and has plenty of bar seating! The drinks are really good too and it’s really clean behind the bar. They even have a dart board and a handful of arcade games too!

So, never been to a kava bar. My wife has and we said lets go here. Kayla (Lala) was our server/waitress/whatever the term is and was amazing. She spent so much time to explain it to me, as I really had no idea about kava. Also, on a side note, she has amazing eyes. We are definitely going back there in a few weeks when we go out. Thanks again, Kayla, for making this a great experience!Update: Again, Kaylala, thanks for being awesome. Cami, if you ever need a closet to live in, just holler. I love coming to this place because you are treated like family not a dollar sign. I pay for service, and that is exactly what I get. Ash, is always with a smile and keeping the place safe and clean. Kava is amazing, as well as their other teas. If you like playing pool then come on over, we can shoot a game or two. Tommy and Andrea, have created a safe place for all of us here. A place where we can all feel normal, be ourselves.

I absolutely love this place. Whenever Im in town this is my go to kratom and kava spot. Their drinks are a much better deal and a lot stronger than some of the other places Ive tried in thus area.

If you want to relax, play some pool, darts, and other cool games then you should stop in!!! Music lovers paradise some nights they have live music they have a karaoke machine that please any song you could think of it also is a picture booth and takes your pictures like old school picture booth that used to be in the mall or at fairs and events!! All while drinking a relaxing kava/kartom or one of there other many drinks then you need to stop by!!! Plus you will be greeted by the amazing Sunny, a beautiful blue and gold macaw!!! Dogs are welcome also!!!!!

Cool place. The owner and staff are amiable and are happy to explain the different types of Teas. I usually stop in to get something to go, but I understand from time to time they have good bands perform.

It was open mic night Sunday night but it was comedians only in the entire place was full of conceited people who thought their s*** was funnier than the other guy and outside all they did was pushed her act on each other and it was annoying and its not one musician up there its all comedians it sucked

Definitely, by far one of my absolute Favorite chill spots in Fort Lauderdale. Double kratom with both green and white vein with a splash of blue Raspberry is my favorite signature drink of choice.Great Atmosphere , chill vibes , wonderful people.Love it

Really cool place to hang out and relax.

They turned over the staff and it is not a pleasant sight. Bad attitude all around and people have been relocating elsewhere. New management and have heard many other things from others who expressed their frustration. I advise to go back to this establishment when some sense gets across. The community is relocating and the customer service is less than mediocre at best.

Great local hangout. Takes away the misguided vibe often given to Kava bars. Great location and setup if youre looking for a hangout or place to use a computer and unwind. Many different products and drinks with a great happy hour. Dont be afraid to try some of the blended kratom tea combinations or smooth kava with flavored creamer. This place also has bar games including a full size pool table.

This place is not a safe establishment!! They have dogs running around everywhere. One of the dogs is dangerous and attacked a young child. The bartenders spend more time smoking cigarettes than they do working. I would not recommend this kava bar. I felt bad but I recently reported the place for an investigation because I was attacked as child and the way this place is being handled is irresponsible!

Not the best kava despite what other reviews say. Their parrot is cool. Stop by and say hi to it.

Loving the new drinks, a nice CBD kombutcha and an addictive ginger beer. Oh and if you like kava and chocolate milk, the funky monkey will blow your mind.

Best kava bar I’ve been to. The bartenders are the coolest and have the best drinks by far. Adriel has a great attitude and made me feel welcomed. Ash was very kind and helpful on finding me a drink I liked. Tommy is the owner at shipwreckers and he is a great guy!! If you are in the area, I would highly recommend coming to shipwreckers for a great experience.

My fiancée and I are not new to kava or kratom but we are new customers of Shipwreckers and we honestly found a new spot. The taste is better, the drinks are stronger, and better yet it’s more affordable than the other bars in the area.P.s. say hi to the parrot.

Shipwreckers is a wonderful place to come if you are feeling like you need a sense of a community in Fort Lauderdale. I have made many friends here, played pool, read on the comfortable couch, and made new friendships all while sipping on some delicious kratom or kava; which makes you feel calm and happy. Aside from the social aspect of it, it is also a great place to work. I bring my laptop and enjoy the free WiFi, good desk space (there are power outlets every 3 feet built into the bar, USB ready for your computer cords!), and breezy environment as the bar is a open layout with two huge open garage doors which let you enjoy the Florida sunshine while you work! Once you come here you’ll want to come everyday. I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could :)! Come out and enjoy.
