The outdoor seating provides a really relaxing atmosphere with a view of the river and the boats passing by. The waitress was very accommodating and friendly. That being said, I regretfully have to give 3 star. This place is a bit overpriced IMO. For the price youd think youre gonna get amazing food or exceptional service. To start, both items I ordered arrived with something missing. The food was just ok, nothing special and not very flavorful. They dont even seem to make the vegan proteins in house. This place looks like theyre trying to be something that theyre clearly not. Maybe with some more time they can step it up, as it looks like a newish place thats still figuring some things out.

We came here for an anniversary dinner. Food was decent. Loved the Salmon Tartare but The burnt tips on the Mac was too sweet for my palate as well as the desserts (Zero chocolate cake and boozey bananas foster). Drinks are a bit pricey ($20) and cost just as much as an entree, They also say that they do not have regular tap water so if you order two glasses of water be prepared to pay $10. Also, every time I took a break from eating I had someone come by and ask if I was done with my meal which was unsettling. I take it as they were just trying to be attentive but they shouldn’t have so many people coming around doing that as often as they did.Liked how the chef is interested in customer satisfaction and is constantly circling around. I was not impressed by our server not wearing her mask properly and the restaurant allowing people not wearing masks to enter and walk around. The ambience is great being right by the river.

A big fan of Jonny NoBones. It’s great being able to recommend a fine dining experience to both vegans and non-vegans. Their menu is unique, the scenery paints a perfect picture of Fort Lauderdale with its location right on the water, and the customer service is top notch. They probably have the best sushi I have eaten, even before I went vegan.

First off this place came highly referred.Signage, and Google listing needs to be majorly updated. The actual location has no signs for anyone to see. Update your listing with instructions. 2nd, the food quality is OK at best, for a vegan place the amount of oil that is used is ridiculous. The pricing. Most places by the water have to charge accordingly. However this place bang for the buck is not what is should be, the food is OK at best and an extremely limited menu. And the menu on online is not their menu, and the other one HAS NO DESCRIPTION OF ANY OF IT ITEMS. This place needs new management for sure.

Wow I have never been to a restaurant where I had a reservation and the staff didn’t even look at our table for 45 minutes, even after we tried calling out to them multiple times. The menu was inconsistently priced and definitely over-priced for basically fried bar food - the same side dish had different prices in two different places on the same menu. We were so excited about the ambience but when we got there the (lack of) service made it worthless. It was absolutely ridiculous, we didn’t even get water. We eventually just got up and left because we didn’t think we were going to get served at all that night. We never got to try the food as we never got served, but will not be returning ever!

Not very good. For the amount of money you spend, you should at least have a nice, clean and pleasant place to go. The outside dining was disgusting. Picked inside and just the decor was something you would put in your outside patio. The steak I ordered I believe was pre cooked. Pretty chewy. My wifes salmon was quite small and not warm. If you want to spend a lot of money for a level 2 restaurant, be my guest.

I have got to say that this was perhaps some of the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. It seems like this place is a sure thing for closing soon. We paid for a VIP experience for Valentines day dinner,a nightmare. Besides the table behind us complaining that there was a ketchup wrapper and their dessert, there was a long list of other issues as well.not having enough staff was a great starter. I felt like there was a desert in my mouth the entire time I was there, I asked for water multiple times and it was not delivered. In fact all of the requests were ignored unless you went and got things yourself. There was a cook that was laying on the stairs sleeping, everybody seemed entirely stressed out, and the interior of the place smelled like mildew.I should have known of the experience ahead when we arrived and we were not greeted at all, just told to go over there.A multiple course meal that should have been a romantic evening turned into an evening of suffering. over three and a half hours later, we were finally given our dessert that made me sick. I apologize for this review, this is not the type of thing I would normally do, but I urge anyone looking for a positive dining experience in getting their moneys worth to go elsewhere.I wish the owner the best of luck moving forward and I sincerely hope they can get themselves organized to retain the customers that they wanted to deliver a nice vegan meal to. The food was not bad, but the service killed anything and everything positive about the experience. It was complete chaos and total disorganization.

We had a terrible experience when we reserved a table for our Mothers Day Brunch. They required that we pay the full amount by credit card to reserve a table. When we arrived at the restaurant in time for our reservation, the situation was chaotic. They informed us the hostess was in a car accident and the bartender quit. At first they did not have the table we reserved and paid for, then they seated us outside where it was hot and there was no umbrella to shield us from the sun. We went back inside and tried to find someone to talk to, but nobody would talk to us. We looked at the food at the buffet, and it looked terrible. Everything appeared dry, overcooked, and there were empty trays. We decided to get our money back and leave, but nobody would help us. We asked for a manager and they said they have no manager - just the chef - and he was too busy. The bartender that we talked to was clearly stressed out and annoyed. We tried to call today to get a refund and we only get a voice mailbox. This situation is unacceptable and we advise you to stay away from this restaurant.

My daughter invited my wife and I to have lunch at the Riverhouse Restaurant for Mothers Day. She was so enthusiastic about this occasion, as were we.Unfortunately, disappointment set in almost immediately. A sense of disorganization prevailed the moment we arrived. No one seemed to be in charge.Whats more, nothing suggested that the establishment was welcoming families to celebrated a special day. It presented itself more like a rustic watering hole than a restaurant. We suggested going elsewhere only for our daughter to tell us she had prepaid almost $300.We were eventually led to sit outside by a friendly waitress who was clearly overwhelmed, and embarrassed by the lack of preparedness. We were then served the most insipide mimosas. One sip was all any of us had.We then made our way to the buffet. Choice was very limited, nothing justifying the $300 price tag for three people. After selecting a couple of items, we returned to our table only to have confirmation of what was obvious; the food was simply awful. This was without a doubt one of the, if not THE worst restaurant experiences weve ever had!If the Riverhouse Restaurant has any integrity or shame, it will apologize to, and refund every single family that entrusted it with the celebration of their Mothers Day.This regrettable experience was especially disheartening for our daughter who had such high hopes of making this a fun, and culinarily enjoyable lunch on a special occasion.

I was there with Carlos Escabi on the Saturday he described, and the server flouted county health ordinances by wearing a mask with many visible holes. It was clear the holes were made intentionally, and his reply of, Its just a muzzle anyway, when the deficiencies of his mask were pointed out indicated he had no intention of aligning his behavior with county and CDC health prescriptions.Come to this restaurant if you want your food prepared by staff who decide which health ordinances they feel like following. If you read through these reviews, youll see the owner contesting the veracity of Carlos claim rather than demonstrating an earnest effort to rectify the situation. I and all other members of my party can attest to the fact that this employee was indeed thumbing his nose in the face of science and health guidelines.

I asked if they had pancakes, the staff responded that they didn’t know (how do you not know what you’re serving!?)My mom goes to the raw bar and gets crab legs and requests the cracker to open them and eat the meat, and we are met with a puzzled look and a “no”.We make our way back to the table to eat the food we got and it’s ALL cold.It was absolutely the worst meal and overall dining experience I have probably ever had.

So I’m pretty sure they paid for any of the positive reviews on here because yesterday they had 2.9 stars and this week it popped up to 4.5.Even with 2.9 stars I decided to give it a try. The ambiance is nice and the drinks were good, but really everything else needs work. The menu is all over the place, so much so even the staff doesn’t know what’s on it. The drinks are good but average price is about 20 dollars for one. I don’t mind paying higher prices for good service but 17 dollars for a winndixie tasting cakes seems a little high for me. Again, overall I was so busy laughing at the whole experience I had a good time. Honestly If you’re looking for good food and good service don’t come here. If you want good drinks and a fun ambiance and are willing to pay 20 dollars for a margarita then it’s probably ok to go.

I went today for Easter brunch and honestly the food was disgusting and cheap. I cannot make an opinion about service because there was no service; no attention to the guest. No cups to get your coffee, no offering of water: just sit down do what you going to do. 70 bucks for sausages and eggs full of oil, grease and cold. The buffet was lack in selection (no fresh toast, no fresh ingredients for a salad). Do they even have a chef? The house is pretty outside, but getting old with some smell, need maintenance. First and last time. I honestly really disappointed and I found the meal extremely expensive, low quality and over-price.

Went here because my boyfriend wanted to, but I didn’t because they sell animal products. We were sat quickly by the hostess, but not informed that there is no physical menu and would need to scan the code on the table to peruse menu options. The server came around to take our order and when we asked for two ice waters we were given the option between a corked bottle for the table, or single bottled water, but only single bottled water was available. Okay, so why even mention the corked bottles for the table if they aren’t available? We were told we could not order glasses of ice water because of sanitary reasons related to COVID, yet when the server came back with our bottle of water, they popped the top with a flourish and poured it into two glasses for my partner and I. How does that make sense? The cherry on top was that the bottle of water was hot.We waited a few minutes debating whether to speak to our server about it but decided to just pay and leave instead. Possibly unrelated to service, however all of the waitstaff I saw were wearing masks incorrectly. Our server was wearing a ventilated mask and others were wearing them around their chin.I feel bad that my boyfriend had his expectations crushed, but I’m just glad we never have to come back here.

Wow, this new restaurant is a reason in and of itself to come to Fort Lauderdale. Truly world-class: incredibly delicious innovative food, excellent creative cocktails, a little coffee bar and a tea room serving perfectly-made caffeinated drinks each in their own cozy corners of this sprawling 1903 old-Florida mansion in the middle of Riverwalk Park with broad views from the air-conditioned verandas and large, shaded patios out over the New River. To boot, theres a vintage vinyl shop and a variety of artists and artisans with their art and wares adding to the extraordinary and once-on-this-planet charm of this wonderful little gem. Food was 4 out of 5 the appetizers were fantastic , service was 3 out of 5 server was ok, her personality was kinda bland took our order and got our food nothing more nothing less. The reason I gave it a 2 out of 5 this was my 1st time visiting this restaurant. When my family and I sat down and ordered the drinks we asked for waters. She responded they didn’t have tapwater but only had bottled water. So I was like ok, I got 3 because it was 3 adults and a 2 year old so I could just split mine with her. Later on we asked for one more water....she told me it was $4! ( that was never told to me in the beginning ) I was shocked water cost $4 because they didn’t have water at the restaurant besides bottled. I don’t know if something wrong with their water or if they are trying to be fancy. I’ve eaten at Planta and Full Bloom in Miami when I consider upscale Vegan dining they don’t charge for basic water.... but then I get the bill and come to find out 4 small waters cost $20.00 so it’s actually $5 for small waters in a glass bottle. So all in all bring you own water/ stop at Vegan Fine Food and get something or it will cost you more for water than your main dish.

The venue is excellent, the food is ok, and if that was all to consider I would probably return. But the customer service is absolutely horrible. I made a reservation for 11 am about a month before Easter. When you go to their website, there is a button on the main page that says book now, and when you click there it lets you choose your date, time, and has you pay in advance for your reservation. The money was charged to my card immediately. When we arrived for our reservation, they told us they did not open until 11:30. The also said they didnt see us on the reservation list, but would seat is anyways. When it came time to leave though, they said they had no documentation of us paying on line and that we would have to pay again. They also said that they dont know how I was able to make a reservation and pay online as they were not set up for that. I sat in the restaurant while they were saying this and went right to it on their main landing page of their website. This place is a scam and a bunch of liers, taking advantage of people. Update: please see below the brunch menu from their website that states they open at 11, as well as the Book Now button from their websites homepage which allows you to book a reservation online and requires you to pay in advance. You can easily see the inconsistencies in information provided on the images below. And is a professional business does not know how to manage their website then that is their problem, not the customers.

The location on its own is enough to be a win, with tables right by the water so that there’s a nice breeze coming in at all times and a beautiful view to boot. Get the salmon tartare - you won’t regret it. It’s worth also noting that that the presentation for every dish we had was phenomenal as well. The views at this restaurant and location are extremely romantic and make for a great place to celebrate!! I really enjoy coming to to this wonderful place!! Thank you!! Keep up the good work.

We had a reservation at 6:30 pm for 5 outside. When we spoke to them over the phone, the receptionist confirmed that the reservation was for outdoor seating. We arrived (3 of us) at 6:20 and the hostess recommended we see the house while we waiting for the other guests. We agreed, since we saw our table for 5 was ready by the boardwalk. By the time we finished touring shops located in the house (which smells VERY strongly of “old house” and mold), our other friends arrived. It was now about 6:35. When we met with the hostess to tell her our friends arrived, I noticed our table had been given away and she was escorting us to a table inside. I didn’t want to eat in the house due the Covid concerns, but also due to the strong smell of mold, and informed her that that our reservation was specifically for outdoor seating. She looked flustered and started making excuses such as, it was not noted that the reservation was for outdoor seating (it was confirmed when we called) and also that we didn’t now specify when we checked in. We were told that we would have to wait 20 minutes for a table outside. We asked if we could use the empty table on the patio and were told yes.. I’m not sure why they didn’t offer this solution before we suggested it...The waitress we had tried really hard to be attentive but simply had too many tables to wait on. We needed her a few times, and has trouble finding her or getting her attention when age was needed. When we asked questions, we could sense that she was very rushed. It wasn’t a relaxing experience.Water here is $5 for a 16 oz bottle and they do not “have” tap. The drinks are customized according to what you’re craving and they ask you to order based on preferences (sweet, tart, tropical, ect) and they did not take requests for specific liquors in the drink. They also do not offer a drink menu and do not allow you to order a specific drink.. I ordered a mildly sweet tropical drink with coconut milk and it was delecious. It was also $20 and more expensive that most entrees on the menu. They brought the wrong drink to my husband and when he mentioned that there was no ginger in the drink (an ingredient he requested) the bar tender asked us to keep that drink anyway.. instead of making the correct drink. My husband had to say very specifically that that wasn’t the drink he ordered and that we wanted the correct drink for them to take action to make things right. It seems like they wanted to create a mixologist experience but they were too disorganized to pull it off. When they did bring the second drink, it’s STILL did not have ginger. The kitchen also kept bringing to our table dishes we did not order (at least 5 time).. so management really needs to step it up.Our food took an exceptionally long time to be cooked. The burgers were yummy, but very greasy and VERY salty. They did not include lettuce or tomatoes and was served with grapes. While delicious, we went through 8 bottles of water ($40).. the avocado toast was presented beautifully, but was plain avocado. Not salt, not lime, nothing. Just avocado topped with greens and a balsamic drizzle. Very, very bland. We sent it back. The meatballs were good, but had barely any sauce at all so the bread it was served over was dry and it wasn’t a pleasant combination. When we told the waitress we weren’t happy with the dish she said “it’s not real meat, you can’t expect it to taste exactly like meat..” and we found that response to be very rude. That wasn’t our complaint, and we are vegans. We didn’t expect it to taste like real meat.. I haven’t had meat in years and I don’t even think I remember what it tastes like.. It just wasn’t a well put together dish. The bread for the avocado and meatballs was the same crusty, hearty bread. Overall, for the price our experience with the food was a disappointment. We were here for 3 hours (that’s without dessert. Food was very slow to come out) and spent $300 for a disappointing night of food and service. We wouldn’t recommend this place to our friends, and we won’t be coming back.

I was looking for somewhere to have a day date with my boyfriend and we came here due to someone recommending it in a vegan group on Facebook! It was AMAZING to say the least! ZERO complaints. From our service - Jason is phenomenal - to the food to the atmosphere! We were greeted with “Namaste” which I loved 😂 and it’s such a nice elegant space. We actually instantly asked to sit outside infront of the water but there was A LOT of room inside with different vendors in different rooms and a little lounge inside all the way in the back. And this beautiful indoor green room where they sell plants with one table (next time I’m sitting here for sure). We spent a lot of time there, needless to say. We came during the day and it was beautiful. We were still around after sun down, and it transformed. PERFECT for romantic dinners or just out with friends or birthdays.Everything in the menu looked too good to be true! I wanted everything, no joke. But I had the Mac Daddy Jonny’s Mac & Cheese and my boyfriend had the Oyster Po Boy. *chef’s kiss*Jason made the yummiest drink for me by simply asking what kind of drinks I like - sweet, etc - I said sweet as soon as he said it and he did not disappoint! The drink felt like a hug I truly needed LOL! I couldn’t taste the alcohol, which is so dangerous in the best of ways.Needless to say I rate it 10 out of 5 stars - it’s my new favorite restaurant all around, wow. I’ll be back for my birthday with everyone 🙂Also, my boyfriend is a tour guide and it made this place all that more special by it being in the heart of the historic district and it being the second oldest building in Ft Lauderdale (it truly is the little things).Thank you soooo much for bringing this place to life! And for honestly selecting such a great group of people to bring forth it’s vision. I can’t wait for all this place has in store! 🥰

I had a lunch there after my Riverfront Cruise . I had the Mahi Mahi fish sandwich and it was excellent. I had it with the Kale slow. Never had that before, but it tasted great. Service was fast, very friendly and efficient. I loved the imported Irish Cider. Can recommend this place to everyone looking for good lunch.
