Our first time here and staff were very friendly and helpful! Greeted as soon as we walked in and offered assistance. Even our 5 year old was given the attention and assistance as a customer. Best little Bike shop in town! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices whether it’s new or used. I peeked in, I rented a bike, they helped me find decent trails at my level of skill and I purchased a slightly used Specialized because I loved my rental experience.

These people are really quite awesome - their customer service is on point, they are so courteous and professional, their energy is absolutely chilled out yet fantastic, and they dont price gouge at all. This is not a place to either purchase or have a more high end bike serviced. Specialized in particular. If youre renting a bike or have a beater bike serviced you will be ok but not otherwise. Too much commercial traffic and employee turn over is HIGH. This is based on experience with having attempted to fix bikes and also seeing how bikes are handled in shop. For the past couple of years I have had to take my bikes to Phoenix or have used other local shops, just read the ratings.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff, BUT if your bikes have issues in the field, do NOT expect any kind of refund or empathy.One of our four bikes was setup with the improper seat tube! Despite renting two of the identical bike and providing height/weight of each rider. It took them about 10 minutes to set up each bike, so we expected it to be done right. Once we drove out to the trail, my mother could not mount the bike as the seat only went down 2 inches! (Picture included). Seat tube was far too long.

I called ahead to make sure they had an e-bike for me, and was assured that they did. After driving an hour to get here, I was then told that they were broken. Very unorganized and unprofessional.

TOURISTS BEWARE !! Rented a bike here for 4 days, the result was:Local knowledge: D - they did not know the trail I was intending to rideand could not match the bike to the trail.Bike Fit: D - came up with a heavy bike with 29 inch wheels. Said that wasall they had. Should have walked out right then.Equipment: D - bike worked for 1 day. Presta valve failed overnight afterthe first day, would not hold air after that.Honesty: D - charged my credit card $30 more than the initial quote evenafter I returned the bike after 3 days. No receipts for anything.Conclusion: at best these people are incompetent at worst just scam artists.

I left a one star review because the mechanics were very rude to me when I walked in. I asked for rim strips and one of the mechanics yelled at me saying he Ran out of cranks months ago. I then said, okay Im looking for rim strips. He never dropped the attitude after that. Now hes his buddies are following me around town and harassing me. But its easy to spot big expensive trucks with mountain bikes on back.

Bought a Marin bike in Phoenix. Couldnt find another one locally so started looking in Flagstaff. Found one here at Absolute Bikes in Flagstaff. The first time we went in Forest spent a lot of time talking to us even though we didnt make a purchase. He was very informative and friendly. The second time we were ready to make a purchase and worked with Sara. She was also great. She spent time sizing and helping us with accessories. Highly recommend this shop for the customer service experience. Compared to my experience in Phoenix, where they basically threw the bike at me and didnt spend any time sizing because there were about 50 people in the store. At this shop, they limit the number of people in the store which allows the customer service experience to still be very meaningful. We are in Flagstaff a lot and will be using this shop now as our main bike shop!

Wow!!! What an impressive large clean WELL stocked shop!!! I wanted the Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack and they actually had them IN STOCK!!! What a great helpful staff, they even put the rack on the car! I highly recommend them!!!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but these people went above and beyond for me so I would be remiss to not. I blew out my rear shock on the beginning of my road trip, and was directed to these guys to help me sort it out, as this was the next stop on my trip. Kyle and Lucas were amazing, found/ordered me a new shock and had it all installed in a few days time. I probably would have been without a bike for the rest of the road trip, but these guys came up huge. The whole place had a great vibe, and I can see why they are a local favorite. Will definitely be back here again when I’m in town, if nothing else just to say hello.

Dont normally post reviews, but thought I needed to share, seeing as how this store seemed dishonest. Left a really bad taste in my mouth, felt like they were trying to take advantage of me.Ive been touring across the country. Came in to get my chain measured and some new tires. The person who helped me said the chain was way too far gone, and that the cassette and chain ring needed to be replaced as well. Told me if I just tried to replace the chain it would run even worse and Id be back in half an hour asking for a whole new drive train. Told me to not take it to another shop and let them tell me just the chain needed replaced. Bought the bike new a little over a month ago, so I had my doubts.Took it to another bike shop in town, and what do you know, they think just the chain needs to be replaced. And with a new chain, the bike is running great!

I called for some info on local trail conditions, and the woman who picked up was happy to take the time to chat about trail recommendations. Great customer service.

There are a lot of options to get your bike serviced in Flagstaff. I came in to just get a tube replaced, it was extremely affordable and the guys even lubed my chain put air in my tires and adjusted my brakes. Recently, I decided to go all in on some new mountain bikes. I ended up ordering some speciality bikes but after a few days of consideration I changed my mind to different bikes. Even though the shop had placed orders they were able to work with me to get me exactly what I wanted. I also threw an array of ever changing part orders at them, they handled it all with grace. A certain local politician sold me a vintage road bike about 6 weeks ago. I wont name names but I will say his name rhymes with Madame Zamboni. I had not ridden a bike in about a decade and did not know anything about bikes (and having naively told Assistant Mayor Zamboni this) I bought the pretty blue bike he suggested after a brief test ride, but after a couple weeks my back tire was flat because it had a perpetually leaking tube, and I found that the chain wouldnt stay on the back gears because the bike was pretty out of tune and the flywheel was completely worn down. When I replaced the tubes (thanks to the help of a friend who knows about bikes) I found that there was no rim tape covering the spoke screws on either wheel, and both tires were so old that the rubber literally disintegrated in my hands as I took the off and put them back on the rims. Also, something was funky with the brakes. I paid $240 for this bike but as I learned more about bikes and started taking the bike apart I found out that I was definitely ripped off, this bike was maaaaybe worth $50-100 on a good day. Sure, its my fault for not learning about bikes beforehand or bringing someone who knew about bikes with me to the sale (lesson learned), but Im really disappointed I couldnt trust a public servant to not scam me.Anyways though, I brought the bike into Absolute Bikes just to ask a couple questions, and Joey in the back ended up going out of his way to get me fixed up and road-worthy. He replaced my flywheel, my tires, and helped me get rim tape and tubes on the wheels. He taught me a bunch of good info about bikes and was super friendly and patient with all my questions. Since its a vintage bike he helped me figure out all the adaptors that I would need to fit it with modern equipment and gave me pointers on how to keep it well maintained going forward. He also helped me choose a light and other accessories that were right for me and my needs, instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive products. My bike runs way smoother now and its all thanks to Joey. I will definitely be returning to Absolute Bikes for any future needs I have and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for high quality service from knowledgeable folks that you can trust.

Absolute is having some changes due to COVID, but you can still go in and check shelves yourself, which is nice. They always have very good deals on very random stuff in their clearance area. You might have to wait outside for a bit. Also, they are way out on service, so schedule a week or so in advance. That said, Donuts hooked me up with a quick cog switch on my singlespeed despite their schedule backlog. This is still a solid choice for mtb or other bike needs in Flag.

Bought my boyfriends bike here a week ago. Had a small issue with the seat and they were able to take care of it the same day we brought it in. Very helpful and nice staff :) Highly recommend!

This place saved our plans. We planned for bike rental at the Grand Canyon, but it was cancelled due to COVID. Instead we rented awesome e-bikes from Absolute and it was sooo much better than our plans. The bikes were top notch, the battery would have lasted way longer than we biked, and the bikes were easy to use and could go as slow as you wanted or as fast as 25 mph. In 2 hours or so, we were able to stop at each viewing point on the path from Verkamps Vistor Center to Hermits Rest and bike about 16 miles.

Absolute Bike Shop is the best bike shop in flagstaff, probably even Arizona. I got a bike there on Tuesday, and the people there are super nice and also very helpful. They setup my bike for my weight , type of riding and even stayed late to help me.

Best all around bike shop I have dealt with! My son and I were new to the sport several years ago, and the team at Absolute Bikes has helped us more times than I can count! Theyve done the routine tune ups and challenging repair jobs on our bikes, going the extra mile to find the right parts. They consistently help me find the right gear and bikes. I appreciate that they are open 7 days a week, and that they are an extremely active cycling and volunteer voice in the community.

Friendly, knowledgable staff ready to take any question regardless of how obvious or not it is. They even stayed late for me after i confused the flagstaff and sedona locations with one another (and did i mention great deals at a local spot).

Was in town for a weekend of riding and was having some problems with a loose rear cassette without the proper tools to fix it. Brought it here and one of the mechanics fixed the problem, pointed out some components that were showing signs of wear to keep an eye on, indexed the gears, and lubed the chain (even asked my preferred brand) all in 5 mins for 5 bucks.He then asked if we wanted any trail recommendations and we chatted for 15 minutes about the best trails in the area, where to camp, best burgers, and best beers in town.Stopping in here made our trip so much better, and not just because I got a good price on a a quick fix.

Friends have complained about high service prices but I haven’t noticed except for no negotiation on new bike prices.They started flying the queer flag, so they have ostracized straight guys like me.Main brand is Specialized.

Called them back to tell them we were three miles out and she said was very put out, they wouldnt help us and sorry to offend you but were not gonna stay for you. Fortunately for them they have plenty of business that our two bike week rentals werent worth 10 minutes. So off to Cosmic bikes tomorrow thanks.

I went here when I first moved to Flagstaff a few months ago. These guys did a fairly poor job on a basic tune-up and new tires. They had my bike for a week and a half after saying it would be two days, never called me. When I called them they said they had to wait for a mechanic to check it over but that would happen later in the day. When I stopped to get my bike 5 hours later, still no mechanic had looked at it. When I got my bike I had to adjust the breaks and the derailer myself. The staff didnt seem that happy at all and did not really help me out that much about what tires I should get for the local conditions.Go to Flagstaff Bike Revolution, much more efficient, cheaper and friendly.

Was on a 30-day RV trip, with our bikes on the back of the towed car, and sometime during the trip, someone hit the back of the tow car and bent the bike carrier and the rim of my bike. Absolute Bikes found the correct rim, put it on, adjusted both brakes (including correcting a problem with the back brake that was caused by me trying to fix it myself...), filled the tires, and had me back on the road in less than an hour, and for an extremely reasonable price. The only thang that is a littol not far but the people are vary nice and helpful and what is the beast thang is that if you rilly like a bike than you are not sure if you want it than you can ask if you can rid it arawnd and see how it felt and you do not get charged if you need to fix your bike that is rilly helpful for me and if you do not know how to do it than thay can walk you throw it and other stuff I believe that the flaggstaff store is a lot better. But if you are in town than go and if you go on the right time than you can take a bike but you have to rent it but that costs munny over rilly good.

The crew at Absolute helped me out through a really sticky situation. I bought a frame online, and it ended up cracking within the first year. While they were under no obligation to do so, Absolute helped me through the warranty process and got my frame replaced, and got me back on the road.Before and since then, Ive gone to other shops around Flagstaff, and have never received anything remotely resembling the service Ive gotten at Absolute. They are now the only bicycle shop Ill visit.

My husband took his bike here today for repairs, was given a quote of $210 and that did NOT include the new pedals he wanted. Single Track Bikes just a few miles down the road was only 90.00 WITH the new pedals. Absolute Bikes is an absolute rip off!!!
