If youre claustrophobic I definitely would not suggest going to the store. Its like they threw every piece of furniture they could possibly sell into one room, and you kind of just have to climb your way through it. Everything is so overly crowded its very difficult to really get a good look or a good feel of any piece in particular.

This furniture store is great for those one of a kind high end peices you cant find in any other local furniture store. The staff and customer service reps are top notch but will hound you at ever turn. The are extremely helpful, almost to a fault. But before you leave, every question will be answered.

I love this store,my sister purchased a living room suite from the in the 1990s it was of great quality,so Ive been shopping there every since along with 2 of my cousins trust me you will not be disappointed. A local store thats been around for a long time. Major furniture stores wont out price these folks. Friendly staff, and they are able to order just about anything you can find at the other stores (if they dont already have it). Ive ordered a dining set, living room couches, recliner and coffee table from them on multiple occasions. So far, so good.

Friday, April 2, 2021 we purchased a complete bedroom suite from Tarheel Furniture. From the time we entered the showroom until delivery was without incident. Told the sales lady our needs walking us patiently throughout the show roomWe had very specific needs. Multiple sales people helped each other to ensure we were happy. After about an hour we purchased a beautiful bedroom suite. They told us it would be la late delivery, but would be there. At 5pm Mr. Lee called asking if we were available for delivery now. His delivery guys were, so courtesy it was unbelievable. Set everything up made suggestions to make room more accessible with the new king bedroom set. Larry, Gaynell, and staff. I have purchased three major pieces of furniture over the course of 5 years. We recently built a new home and needed furniture for the living room. The sales lady was very helpful and patient. Her suggestions for matching the main couch and love seat helped with our decision. When it was delivered, there was a small scratch, and Mr. Lee had someone out within a week to repair it. The repair man was very professional and knowledgeable. These people are no-nonsense, down-to-earth, honest business people. We will continue to visit them for all of our home decor needs. I purchased a full bed set - i.e. mattress, box spring, rails, head and footboard - from Tar Heel Furniture Gallery on 5/9. Due to unforeseen circumstances (COVID-19), I had to move home unexpectedly and had been sleeping on the floor for two months prior to making this purchase. Unfortunately the salesperson did not notify me that the mattress I ultimately selected was the exact same as a previous one I had tried in the store - which was too soft. There was also no signage on that mattress for me to have come to that conclusion on my own - I trusted the salesperson knew what they were talking about. (I was looking for an extra firm mattress; they have beautiful bedroom sets but not many extra firm mattress just FYI.) On 5/14 I return to the store because sleeping on the floor was more comfortable than sleeping on the new mattress I had bought from THFG, so I knew something was wrong. The original salesperson that helped me was there to process the exchange/paperwork/payment. I was told their truck would come the following Wednesday and would receive a call when the delivery people were on their way to my home. On 5/20 I call them at 4:30 to check on the status of the delivery and found that their truck had not come and would have to wait yet another week to receive the correct mattress. I am extremely frustrated having been misinformed about the original mattress I purchased and now having to remain on the floor (as that is the most comfortable surface I have to sleep on) for another week...when there is a full bed set in my room. The salespeople have been friendly but none ever offered an apology for the error on their end, nor did they take any ownership for their mistakes. If you’re looking for a simple mattress and/or box spring, an actual mattress store might be a better route.

We LOVE this place. I have made 4 purchases from Tarheel Furniture, and have never been disappointed. They let me look at MY pace with no hassling. A huge selection, and a friendly staff every single time. We will purchase again from this business, and give them the highest rating!!

Excellent quality furniture more of a traditional look versus contemporary furniture.

I went to them looking for help trying to find replacements chairs for the ones that were damaged during hurricane Florence. There was a very nice girl that help to me and as she checked all the books and tried to locate those chairs or some like them. The office advise me that that Manufacturer has gone out of business As they could not continue to make the superior product that they had and compete. They also with vice me of a place where I might go where they would go ahead and restore my original pieces. I do not know a lot about Fayetteville and Ive found them extremely helpful and very nice people. As for the store they had beautiful stuff in there as well that they were selling and I would go there in the future if I were looking to buy furniture

The store doesnt have published prices because they resell the furniture. Once you visit the store it has very limited floor with furniture. However, they can beat prices from Rooms to go.They offer various discounts but you have to negotiate. This is your traditional brick and mortar store and you get personal customer service other online retailers or stores cant match.We ordered a dining table. The delivery costs only $40 for Fayetteville area. Rooms to go charged us $69. The furniture was delivered the next business day and the crew was professional. We are very happy with our purchase and customer service we received.

I was visiting Fayetteville from Charleston SC and decided to stop in to see if Tar Heel had the Howard Miller grandfather clock Id been researching for several months. They had three in stock. Mr. Larry Lee spent a great deal of time explaining to me every facet of owning a grandfather clock. I called back and Mr. Lee gave me a price I simply could not refuse. His technicians spent a great deal of time touching up the finish on the clock and armor plating it for me to transport 200 miles home. Mr. Lee asked me to call him once I got home and let him know how everything went - and I did. He was genuinely concerned that I got the clock set up and running. Suzie handled the paperwork expeditiously and with genuine courtesy. I recommend anyone interested in a Howard Miller grandfather clock to talk to Mr. Lee and give Tar Heel Furniture Gallery the chance to earn your business.

Best store in town for Ashley furniture. They have ANYTHING you are looking for. And their after-sale customer service is without a doubt the very best. If you have ANY issues they will help with their experienced furniture specialist. Very pleased!!!

Jennifer was the absolute best person to deal with....Very knowledgeable of their products and will be straightforward and honest if you as her any questions... We had a problem with a set we bought a year after we purchased it where the quality of the item didnt hold up to our liking.... She worked extensively to replace it with another set with us paying the price difference from the original purchase because it was a higher quality product.... I would absolutely recommend doing business with Tarheel and especially Jennifer.

I arrived at Tar Heel Furniture Gallery and was immediately greeted like I was a valued customer. The sales person, Susie, let me see all the options for the item I was seeking. She was knowledgeable and friendly. Their options were high quality in all price ranges. It didn’t take long to make a purchasing decision. Their delivery service personnel were professional, friendly, and timely. I will make all future purchases at Tar Heel Furniture and have recommended them to my entire family.

Bought a recliner in June. We love this recliner so far! I sleep in it more than my husband, and its his. Haha. This furniture store is nice, and the people are friendly. They dont have much variety in stores, but they can always order products for you. Sofa prices are a little high, but we only purchased a recliner. Delivery didnt take long, and the delivery people were pleasant and put it together, also showed us how the chairs works.

Ive had such a pain free shopping experience at Tarheel Furniture Gallery. Ive been looking for a certain color leather Italia couch and loveseat, which is discontinued, when I called and spoke with Susie, she took control and called the company. Not only once but 3 time to verify the color. Also, sent me several photos. Being an 1 1/2 away I never had to set foot in the store and am writing this review on my gorgeous sofa that arrived today. Susie went above and beyond to get my dream furniture.

After comparing Tar Heel Furniture with Bullards and Havertys furniture stores, I found they have a better selection at a better price. The Salesperson was more knowledgeable about the construction of their furniture then at the other 2 stores mention. Since my first purchase, I have bought there 3 more times, and only had one issue with a coffee table which Tar Heel Furniture was fast in sending someone out to repair the table.

Mrs. Susie was very friendly and patience as I asked her many questions about different choices of furniture. The store itself is loaded with many options.

10 years ago I bought a bedroom set from Tarheel Gallery, which included a mattress set. It was awesome. So I decided to go back for a new one. Bad mistake.

We love the table we got here. Had a coupon in the mail that we recieved after we purchaced our home.

My husband and I recently special ordered over $7000.00 worth of Bassett furniture from Tar Heel Furniture Gallery. The prices were great, and our sales representitive (Jennifer) was fantastic. The furniture arrived faster than we could have imagined and in excellent condition. The delivery guys were great, too. When we had a small issue with one of the tables, we were given the option to exchange it or take a bit of cash back, and when we chose cash back they gave us even more than we had agreed upon. Dont be discouraged by the (what we considered to be slightly outdated) in-store selection. They have tons of catalogues to order from in the store and Ive never been so pleased with another furniture purchase. We will definitely be back.

Saving tips: Better priced furniture all around PLUS: NO SALES TAX for VA residents, lower priced extended warranty, and lower delivery cost, all added up to HUGE savings. Tar Heel Gallery is not too far from Hickorys Furniture mart. THs Gallery is not a fancy show room, but if you have done your homework, you know the manufacturer & the sofa model you want, no one will bet Tar Heels prices, no one. Call them, ask for Tommy, get the price, then run to order it... WORTH-THE-DRIVE ! Our sofa was delivered by D & D Delivery (recommended by Tar Heel) and their service was also amazing. Gaynell is amazing. Last winter, we looked all over town for furniture and Tar Heel was what we found to have the best quality inventory. It was a bit more pricey than other places, but we wanted furniture that would last us a long time, not just a few years. When you first walk in, the Gallery looks a little old-school but when you actually look at the furniture itself, youll see that they have both trendy and modern styles to traditional and classic. Gaynell was always so sweet, willing to answer our questions, and kept checking on different details when we had a new idea, etc. I normally dont like to work with salespeople (Id rather shop on my own and decide what I want), but after we got to know Gaynell better, we found that the process went much better when we just told her our ideas and what we were looking for, and then she would pull out a handful of options to give us (many times, she pulled out pictures of pieces that werent on the floor but could be ordered) and everything worked out perfectly. I was amazed at how we could give her a price range and description of what we wanted and she knew where to look and found lots of good options for us to choose from. We got to customize our couches just how we liked them, and have loved them since they were delivered several months ago. Gaynell was so welcoming and made us feel right-at-home even though wed just moved to the area. She was my first impression of Fayetteville and Im very thankful for her expertise and kindness. My only complaint is that, after the furniture was delivered, the delivery men gave us a sheet to sign saying none of it had been damaged upon them moving it in--this is understandable. I had only taken a quick peek at the furniture and didnt notice anything major, so I signed the paper. Well, it is really our own fault--this was our first time buying furniture so we shouldve inspected it more carefully (lesson learned), but right after the men left, we noticed a black line/mark on the side of our white linen couch. Im guessing it marked up against our black railings on the way up to our apartment. I wish I would have taken longer to look over the couch because I know if Id noticed it right away that Tar Heel wouldve fixed it somehow. But I havent called them since or anything because it really is our own fault for not inspecting better. Just a heads up to look for things like that and dont feel like you have to sign the paper right that second! Overall, we loved our experience with Tar Heel and have recommended them to many of our friends.

I must say this was one of the best expierences ever. Im not a patient person, by no means. I also am not a fan of shopping, but I am proud to say that taking a little bit of time and talking to the owner Larry, while my wife looked around, was such a good expeirence. I started off thinking that i saw a lot of great hard ACTUAL solid WOOD furniture products but too traditional looking for me and my new modern house. But Gaynell, Jen and Larry assured me there was nothing to worry about because they had access to so much. Which they sure did. It took a little bit of time to be able to look thru some catalogs, but my wife did and we ordered our entire master suite, living room suite, and the whole office.Usually, delivery messes things up en route to houses but not these guys. Theyre delivery team was clean cut, polite, gentle with the product and very willing to be patient with what my wife wanted.
