You can choose your own beer from their numerous fridges, and theyll pour it for you in a glass. Knowledgeable staff that can recommend a good beer for your preferences.

Great local beer and food spot in Eugene. Enormous selection of beer with a large rotating tap selection. There are wine and cider items available, but Beer is the star of the show here. We had a steak salad and spicy chicken sliders, both were excellent. This is a order at the counter/they deliver to your table setup. Service was friendly and fast. They have plenty of indoor/outdoor seating as well as a good sized parking lot. PROST!

The beerstein is one of my favorite places ever! Not only do they have a huge tap list that rotates often but they also have what they call the cooler which is 10-12 fridges full of different beers and ciders from around the world that you can either drink there or take home when you leave. They have amazing food especially their beer cheese mac n cheese that is to die for especially if you add bacon on top and Im also a sucker for the hummus plate, cant ever go without getting one or both of these 😋

My ten year old brother was in town, so I took him out to lunch here. He said the following:-This is the best meal I ever had-French fries are potatoes right? How did they make them so perfectly crispy here!-Can we ask to talk to the chef so we can tell him how delicious his cooking is?-We have to come back here-I never want to stop eating this stuff.

This place is a beer drinkers paradise! They always have a few really good imports on tap along with all the IPA everyone else offers, but whats great, is that they have an incredible selection of imported bottled and canned beer from all over the world. They had two of my favorite German biers that I was so glad to see again.Both times I was there, a young woman named Ellie was my server. She is the best Ive ever had. Totally knows here beers, never let my glass get more than 3/4s empty and was just one of the most pleasant people Ive met in a long time.Whenever Im in Eugene, I always go to the Bier Stein! Love the place!

I was recommended this place for its pretzels. I was expecting a bit of a bigger pretzel in thickness but got more of a Rold Gold thin. Food was pretty good over all.

Terrific beer selection, hands down. Nothing on tap interested me so I checked out the bottle selection. It is vast and I had more choices for a stout than I could shake a stick at. Plus, my lunch to go with it was great. Will visit again when Im back in the area.

Great beer and atmosphere. I like all the local and craft brews this place has to offer. They also have coolers to take beverages to go. Their food selection is varied enough for a bar however i find their development of flavors lacking. You can tell they put good ingredients in but i dont see this as a completely amazing restaurant. Man, it has such a great thing going, but missed the mark on so many levels. You order directly from their website, the inside is set up so you feel like herded cattle or a Leper, nothing customized from our order was honored (salsa on the side, no onions), service was next to nonexistent, “order glitches” according to the staff.Hopefully they’ll square this stuff away.

The cluckers were something you could buy in a frozen food aisle, but with more bitter/badly-done-nuggets aftertaste, but the brat sandwich a relief as it was largely flavorless.Beer selection and service is pretty good. Id rec for a drink if youre on foot and dont wanna walk three blocks.

It took us by surprise that when we walked in you had to stand in line and place your order. Soon after finding out table my wife found a bottled cider from an awesome assortment of bottled beers, ciders, and non alcoholic drinks. Then I couldnt figure out where to add it to my tab, finally someone explained I needed to go to the bar. When I got there a girl said I needed to talk to the bartender, he then proceeded to tell me I needed to go back in the line to add it to my tab. A lot of work for someone just trying to pay. After finally getting our drinks figured out we sat down and tried to figure out how to order food, which turns out has to be done on your phone by going to a website. This all seemed rather odd, I get trying to be new age and tech forward, but at least explain to me what I need to do. I order another beer and by mistake somehow ordered a sample size aka a shot glass of beer and it was nearly $5. I made another mistake on the order and was blamed by the server for my instructions on the order. They brought us 1 fork 1 spoon and 1 knife at least 2 napkins thank goodness, and said the salt and pepper are over there and water is in the cooler. That was the last we saw of any service unless we ordered from the phone again. All in all, the place looks nice, its very large making it feel comfortable and spacious, but the odd ordering with no explanation and self service for everything you do made it a bit annoying when youre paying fairly high prices. At the end of your meal you must go stand in yet another line to pay your tab. Its a fun looking place but I think we wont be going out of our way to go here again.

This place shines on its beer selection. however as a beer forward place if you are going to sell hot wings please have some respect for the hot wing culture and yourself. my 6 wings arrived tonight in about 2 minutes from ordering. already setting off alarms in my brain. they were dusty and dried out like all day heat lamp action was happening. the light sprinkling of Franks red hot sauce was like adding insult to injury. they were not hot , juicy, or even edible really. I know the olcc makes places that serve alcohol serve food. but at this place the food is barely cafeteria grade and I would not recommend anything but the pretzel here food wise. if youre gonna charge me 10 bucks for 6 wings. at least fry them up and sauce them down properly please. have some respect for yourself and the hot wing culture.

Great beer selection (I recommend the Wolves and People Fresh Hop Honeycone, and the Founders Velvet Rush), good food(I had a hefty sized Grooving Reuben). Nice atmosphere, especially if its nice enough to sit outside.

I liked the Mac and cheese I had. The staff was wonderful. Comfortable outside seating area. Overall a nice, relaxing time. Plan to be back next week. Blessings.

I have been going to The Bier Stein for over a decade and theyve moved to a bigger new location. Its a great new building! More beer, more food, and outside seating. Definitely a recommendation if youre visiting Eugene.

The abundance of options are low key overwhelming but you just cant go wrong stopping in this establishment and enjoying what is worth!Will for sure be back

Love this place! They have an awesome online ordering system so you can order everything from your phone, including extra rounds when your beer is getting low. Food is also yummy and the salads are fresh.

Came here with the family and everyone LOVED their food and beer. They have an amazing wide selection of beers from all over the world. The staff is so friendly and amazing.

The beer was very good. with a great selection. We ordered the nachos. It absolutely sucked.

The food was good. When we entered the greeting was nice. You have to use an app to order and pay. You get charged a convenience fee for using the app that you have to use, you have to put in your card information, and there is apparently no way to split the bill if you didnt each set up an account and order separately. No one comes to check on you or even clear dishes.

Nice outdoor seating. The chicken and donuts were great! Overall nice experience.

The Bier Stein is ALWAYS busy, especially in the summer months. They have a good selection of drinks and their food is tasty, but it’s also pretty spendy for Eugene. Great in a pinch or if you’re really craving beer cheese soup, but a $15 salad...not for me personally. I will say that they have been following social distancing mandates very well.

The service and food is great! However, you have to use an app to order and pay which charges you a convenience fee. There is no mention or acceptance of this fee until it’s time to pay and they don’t give you another option. I think this is deceptive and unnecessary. You can buy beer inside the store without using the app so why can’t you pay at the table without paying a “convenience fee”?

Beer selection is insane - you are bound to find something you like! Fresh fries, delicious beer cheese for their pretzel (this place is german inspired after all) and a perfect place to go with a group with their convenient online (cell phone) ordering from your table. We will be back!

This is a very unique place with a very unique menu. They have a huge selection of great beers and ciders on tap as well as an amazing refrigerator area with more options. I love their mobile ordering system. Simply open a tab upon arrival, go to the website, enter your name and table number and then you can order all of your food and drinks.

Beer galore. Good chill atmosphere. Food is not what you are here for. If youre hungry go next door to Newmans.

This is a great place to get beer! Whether you just want a drink or two with friends or you want some beer to take home, this is the place to go. They have everything from local to European beers, sometimes its hard to choose what to try! I really loved their collection of pumpkin flavors last fall.They also have good food, though I should go back to try out more than just their grilled cheese.I have also found that this place can be loud, but it might have just been the times I was there.

I love the bartenders here. They are extremely knowledgable about the brews they serve. Not only that, but they give everyone a glass of water to go along with their drinks which I really appreciate.The self serve beer wall has the countires of their origin above them. Really neat if youre curious about where your favorite beers are from.

Always good beer on tap and a huge selection of bottles. The food is great and do the miss the Invitational Beer Fest! It gets better every year! Once youve got a tab open, the ability to order food and drinks through the website is a great plus since the tap line can get very long here.

Horrible that you can’t even update your online preferences and service updates.. which Google is very easy to update that you were not going to be open on Fourth of July..... seen as it’s not a national holiday you would think that you would notify your customers. Hate that I waited over an hour for GrubHub to deliver food to me that had been paid for through your service because your laziness failed to turn off your GrubHub services on your day off ......totally understand taking the day off totally don’t understand the laziness of just putting up a sign in your establishment to inform your customers but not actually turning off the services that to make deliveries to your restaurant and give you money... it is just simply turning off your tablet from allowing any kind of GrubHub or your poster services to except money for the days that you were actually not open. This is absolutely disrespectful. It is also disrespectful that you cannot update your Google preferences of the days that you are not open....seems that you need some help in your management as well as your organizational skills and I would seek that help soon to have a better satisfaction rate.... I now have $40 in Lou because of you not turning the services off and they accepting payment...very frustrating

This place has very, very good food. And a very limited menu. This time, they had food that both sounded good and tasted delicious. They did have a heated tent area, though it wasnt as nice as some. But every restaurant that keeps fighting during these difficult times, deserves our support. As always, their beer selection is top notch.

Another local gem. Im not much of a beer person myself, but wow...that selection of brews on tap and by the bottle may be unequaled in the Eugene/Soringfield area. Very chill vibe and wonderful outdoor seating (now with space heaters!). Get that mountain of nachos and bring a couple of partners in cheese crimes. Highly recommended.

Mucho options. Very modern system for tapping kegs, along with a digital system and menu to choose from the many, many options. The rows and rows of bottles are also (and maybe more) impressive. Lots of hard cider as well. Service seems to be pretty solid at this modern Eugene beer hub.

We come here often. We love the large nacho, it easily can fill two peoples stomachs. Their bottle shop is huge and diverse, with an option for all palates. Atmosphere is decent, and the quality of the service truly depends on who is working.

Consistently one of the best beer tap lists in the area, and the bottle selection is equally awesome. You won’t be able to peruse the cooler for long without someone offering to help you find a great beer. My favorite food items include the nachos, chicken & doughnuts, and the grilled King Gary, but just about everything there is quite good. The only downside, it can get busy and loud during peak business hours making it tough to find a table and have a conversation. Talk is cheap, beer is good.

Closer to 3.5, but what can you do.So, the food is decent and tasty, but my ranking system kind of looks like (perceived value)/(actual price)? Thats just a metaphor. Basically, its more than Id want to pay for what I get.The beer selection is quite good though, the name Bier Stein hold up for me. I actually prefer places with fewer bottle options, but when you flip as many bottles as a place like this does, its probably not an issue.One of the bigger issues for me is the loud atmosphere, which I dont think they can have any control over. Its a catch-22, but I cant rate something higher than my perceived enjoyment of it, so here we are.You could do much worse! If you dont mind crowds, (oh god why I am I writing this in 2020), itll probably be a great time. Otherwise, try to get here when its quiet or get a seat outside.

First time dining in and so glad we picked one of our favorites :) the king Gary was delicious and the gouddist also rocked . As alway the soup never a disappointment. Yum yum and yum also had a hazy ipa from Oakshire just a perfect lunch and how nice to feel normal and dine in. Would definitely come back to this place again if I ever in OR.
