I took my stepmother to the Walgreens drive through, it took 45 minutes, about 7 cars in line. Contrary to Jill Bergstroms statement below, they actually do have an idea of how many people will show up businesses forecast comparatives as well as understand how many people have prescriptions to pick-up, there is actual science behind this. There is clearly something very wrong here.Unacceptable, glad I have home delivery through my insurance.

Called in prescription 2 days ago. Its 7pm on day they were supposed to be refilled late morning. Still not filled & the pharmacy is now closed! Tried calling pharmacy 3 times today. All 3 times I was on hold for 20-30 minutes & gave up. Id give them NO stars but cant go that low on the star scale! Terrible service

Walgreens has an enormous customer base. Go elsewhere if you think you are entitled to special privileges. I have been going there and add sufficient time to any pharmacy. They dont t know how many people will show up!!

The pharmacy is slow, rude, and unhelpful. To be closed in the middle of the day is unheard of. Go anywhere else if you are able. Calling for information gets you transferred to a call center in Florida. They can’t get any more answers as the pharmacy won’t answer the phone. Horrible experience.

The pharmacy has gone down hill. I put in for refills a week or longer and still not refilled; or they ran out of a certain prescription, how does that even happen. If you know your running low shouldnt you order more since you are a pharmacy. Nowadays you hear we are short staffed but every job is short staffed and you dont see us closing our businesses down several hours early especially knowing people need their prescriptions. Walgreens corporate needs to make these pharmacies stay open and do their job.

Quite possibly the worst convenience store/drug store/etc. on the face of the earth. Not Walgreens in general, but this particular location. Whoever manages this place, and has managed it for the last couple years, is an absolute buffoon and needs to be replaced for the sake of the local customers. Absolute trash, quite literally. There’s trash everywhere all outside the building, sometimes trash that has been there for literally weeks. The pharmacy is either constantly understaffed or constantly incompetent, sometimes there are 10+ cars in the drive thru for the pharmacy as well as a whole line of people inside, and it looks like the staff is just taking their time. Blows my mind. I’ve spent 30-45 minutes at this store just waiting in line before. Ridiculous. Sometimes there will be items out of stock for weeks and the shelves don’t even get touched. They don’t sweep the sidewalk or parking lot, the inside of the store isn’t clean. Pharmacy takes an eternity. Phone line is terrible. Would give zero stars if possible.

I have never had such a negative customer interaction in my life. The out of state, male pharmacist working the evening shift on Tuesday, 9/21/21 made it very clear that he did not care about the Walgreens customers. I had an appointment to receive a government mandated vaccine and when I arrived at Walgreens, their pharmacy lobby was closed. I knocked on the door and after explaining my situation to the technician, I was given the opportunity to talk with the pharmacist. I explained to the pharmacist that I had an appointment to receive the 2nd Pfizer vaccine. The pharmacist stated that Walgreens hours changed and it didn’t matter that I had an appointment. He told me that I would have to come back. I explained that I teach and coach and this was the scheduled time I planned to receive this vaccine. I also explained to him that I am deeply terrified about vaccine fidelity, and told him that I wouldn’t be able to get the shot until the weekend. He told me that vaccine procedures require a 15 minutes waiting period and they would be closed then. I stated that I was here 25 minutes before the store closed and on time for my appointment. He said “sorry, there is nothing we can do.” He shut the door and paged the Walgreens manager. I drove over to the Fred Meyer pharmacy and was immediately helped. A very big thank you to the Free Meyer employees. You managed to give comfort to a very terrified customer.

Ive been trying to find out why the store has not managed to fill my prescriptions that they have had for 3 days. I was put on hold for 25 minutes and cant reach the pharmacy at all. Ive been trying for 2 1/2 hours. Worst service I have ever seen at this pharmacy.

Dont bother. Just stay away. They clearly have more customers than they can handle! A week to fill a prescription, hours waiting on hold just to get hung up on, and getting sent home from the store because their computers cannot correctly process out your prescriptions. I cant believe Ive let these people handle (and keep me from) my life saving medication.

I have never seen such a slow pharmacy drive thru. They take about 10 minutes per car and there is a 98% chance you will sit in line. We even came early today after giving up yesterday, and yup, there was a line before it even opened.

The people who work the drive up window were some of the Rudest humans ive encoumtered. Sat behind a car whos rx was not ready but they just sat there. I waited for almost 30 minutes. When they finally left the workers put their piece of cardboard up over the window because they conveniently closed without helping me. I honked my horn and asked if i could pick up my rx. It was filled and waiting. They said no we are closed. I found this very frustrating and very poor customer service.

Avoid this place like the plague if you want to save yourself the stress. We already have too much to deal with this year.Worst customer service Ive ever seen.The checkers are not trained properly so theres been occasions when I had to walk a cashier through how to do something (such as taking cash off a card or partial payments). Thats me nitpicking though.The single star review is due to the pharmacy. You will have every amount of trouble and obstacle to deal with. Firstly there is the rudest service youll ever recieve. In person the attention is half hearted and lax, on the phone its worse and youll most likely be hung up on if your situation is too troublesome or forgotten on hold. They also happen to be understaffed quite a lot (or at least while they were my pharmacy). Theres no sense of urgency either, days without my medication put me through numerous side effects, and when I finally was able to get in, they had somehow lost my info and I had to contact my medical provider again for my medication, thats when I switched pharmacys. Best decision I ever made. Even being twice as busy Im in and out twice as fast.Lastly, the prices simply suck. A wallgreens card would help, but with such terrible service youd be hard pressed to want to give customer loyalty.

We laughed at Walgreens choice of halloween decorations(skeleton in scrubs in waiting room chairs) until it started creeping towards reality. It took an hour to pick up a prescription that I received a text that it was ready for pick up. We were in the front of the 15-person line and yet the 1 teller didnt seem to know what she was doing. Then once it was our turn, our prescription wasnt actually ready so we were then directed to sit down...yep those chairs! Another 20 minutes....or more??? This is straight crazy.

The folks in the pharmacy are nice enough but sometimes only have the drive thru open and that can take forever at times. The photos seem to take days longer than other Walgreens, which I think is strange. I can order pictures from the Walgreens 2 miles away on Coburg rd and get them the same day, ready in a couple hours but the river rd location can’t have them ready for 3 days? Odd. And the River Rd store is VERY frequently out of paper bags. Once in a while, sure... but it’s actually more often that they don’t have bags than that they do. Also very odd.

Every time I have gone to pick up pictures, I end up waiting for 20 or more minutes. They do not have the staff to manage the services they offer. I have since gotten smart and switched my business to the Walgreens off Coburg Rd who always have their photo center staffed and ready to assist. Do not waste your time at the River Road location unless you have time to waste!

Yes I agree with that verse review waiting forever in the Drive-Thru to get prescriptions I should be ready they seem to be taking a very long time. The drive-thru means speedy service service. They find some of this to be helpful can upgrade their service thats I dont feel like some of their staff is very friendly more snobbish than anything.

I will never use this Walgreens again. Ever. This was my 3rd disappointing trip to this location to pick up a prescription, but this time was by far the worst. After waiting several minutes in line, the pharmacist stated she could only take the time to cash me out. She could not help me locate the correct OTC medications my doctor was recommending alongside the prescription I was picking up. She refused to take 60 seconds from behind the counter to show me the appropriate medication. Absolutely not the kind of pharmacy I can trust with my health. I even asked to speak to the store manager, but he never answered the clerk’s page. This store is under-staffed, and uncaring. Why do all other Walgreens in the area make it work and this one cannot get it together? There is far too much competition for the service to be this bad.

Ive never had an issue with the retail side of this store other than checking out taking an absurd amount of time because theyre under staffed. The pharmacy on the other hand. It really shouldnt be this difficult. Their level of incompetence is borderline criminal. Their automated systems tells you meds are filled and available for pickup but once you arrive and make your way to the window (allow yourself PLENTY of time) they cant find it or tell you its not actually filled, needs to be ordered, out of stock....something. Well isnt that awesome, Ill just let my children go without their medications while you all figure out how to do your jobs. Ive been told theres an issue with the insurance when there isnt. Ive been told they didnt receive a prescription when they did. At this very moment Im trying to figure out how to get a med filled they told me was filled three days ago, then told me it wouldnt be filled until yesterday, then told me Sorry, were out and wont have it until maybe Monday. Cool, since, you know, the last pill was taken this morning and the doctor is out of the office. And the most frustrating part is they really, really dont care and have no interest in fixing the issues.

Waiting an hour to pick up a prescription is unreasonable! I dont shop there anymore, the prices on the shelf almost never reflect what youre charged at the checkout! I went there tonight because I didnt want to have to go all the way to Fred Meyer. I decided I would rather pay a few dollars more for a tube of triple antibiotic than fight the traffic...the shelf price was 7.99 and once again I was charged 8.99 at the register! This happens so often that I dont shop there any more, if I can help it at all! Theyre way higher than Fred Meyer, I know I would have payed no more than 4.99 for this there!

Walgreens River Road is HORRIBLE!The pharmacy is the worst. They have delayed my pain rx a number of times when I am on a strict 28 day schedule and it has to be filled on the day it is written. They illegally take my prescription and, this last time, told me they needed to verify it with my doctor. It is a computer generated prescription sign by my doctor with all pertinent information right on it!! It cannot be forged or duplicated so they are basically ignoring the LEGAL processing of my rx and kept me waiting for 3 DAYS! I thankfully have friends I could borrow from but that too, is considered illegal. But what choice did I have? Opioid withdrawal can kill a person!I have switched to Save On pharmacy inside Albertsons and, although it is more difficult for me to have to walk in and get my prescriptions, they are great to deal with and I get all of my prescriptions ON TIME!

I was on hold for over two hours all together but kept having to call back because they kept dropping my calls. I finally got off hold and the women on the line wasn’t helpful and didn’t have any answers to my questions. I called my insurance company to see why my prescription wasn’t getting filled they told me that my pharmacy should’ve told me why that was happening and was upset they didn’t. I had to go in 3 times just to be told the same thing even though they knew what was wrong. Instead of being on hold for an hour I just went in and waited for 30 more minutes just to be told by the same women that she had no clue but i should just pay for it out of pocket so they can get it over with. I left and called my insurance and finally found out the issue. Now i’m on the phone with them again for 15 minutes so far. If this pharmacy wasn’t so close to where I live I would find another one. Honestly don’t bother with this place.

Very poor customer service in the pharmacy. When I’m allergic to the generic they tried to give me multiple time, and I requested the name brand, it was not covered by insurance I was told by the pharmacy tech that “I should just switch to a cheaper medication” I will be switching pharmacies after this experience. They switched manufacturers and my medications to different brands without notifying me quite a few times.

Bought a tracfone tonight for someone and after getting it home realized it was already used and set up by someone else. Tried to return it with receipt immediately after finding it was not usable...the manager on duty refused to exchange, refund or even be polite about it. Very dissapointed and will not be back

Horrible!! I will never shop at a Walgreens again! I bought hot dog buns from them a couple of weeks ago that had mold on them. I checked the expiration date and it said they were still good for another month. Unfortunately my mom and I didn’t notice the mold till we had already eaten some of it. Later we both woke up sick with food poisoning. Today I went to go buy some medication from them and I get home and find out that half of the stuff is missing from the medication box.

No matter how much time I give this pharmacy, they NEVER have my prescription ready. Every single time its a different excuse. After the automated system informed me that my script was ready I showed up and waited to find that they hadnt started due to an insurance change. The gal at the window was less than understanding saying she has no control over the automated system. I am done, Ill take my business elsewhere. Doubt they will notice anyways.

Wish I could give negative stars. I am 6 days without my medication now and extremely sick thanks to Walgreens. They tried to charge me 300$ for my refills, though I have insurance that pays for them. OHP, Trillium, and My case worker all told them it was fine and there was no issues with my insurance, yet they still demanded the 300$. So, I had my prescriptions transfered, but Walgreens refuses to release them. Been waiting 3 days now, since asking for a transfer, and keep getting Well take care of it. I have called dozens of times, talked to managers, and my case worker has called, but they still wont release my prescriptions. I will have to go see my doctor and have all new ones written, which may take another week or more. In the mean time, I will suffer thanks to Walgreens Pharmacy. My blood pressure medication is one of them, so if I die of a heart attack or something like that, I hope they have a damn good lawyer....BTW... this isnt the first issue. They have been terrible before. I almost had my insurance cancelled because they claimed one of my prescriptions was from an out of state doctor I havent seen for years. No reason or sense to it, I have no medications from him. That was a huge red flag for OHP, and I got in trouble for their mistake.

Terrible pharmacy, staff has botched filling my script repeatedly, leading to over a weeks wait for my medication. Staff is always confused and makes a mistake processing my prescription every time. Very unprofessional pharmacy shouldnt be allowed to handle peoples medications. I certainly will be finding a new pharmacy to handle my scripts in the future.

Horrible they take forever. Call to tell you the rx is ready and when you get there they say its delayed. very slow and constantly needing to put your information in the system even when there have not been any new info and nothing has changed. Being told thete has been a software problem and then asking for John the manager who knows nothing of a software problem. Go somewhere else .

Walgreens is a great company... this location is the litteral worst. I have used Walgreens 5+ years, just moved making river road the closest location. It takes them 15 mins to even find my account having to provide maiden name, address, phone number, dob, still 15 mins. They loose prescriptions my doctor called in the same one on two different days because I was told they never received it. Today, again after 15 mins wasted for them to find my account they lost the prescription, I showed them the notification on the application that it shows ready at this location, was told it was wrong. The only solution they offered was to drive to the prior location I used over 40 mins away. I will be moving all of my and my families business to a company who actually knows what they are doing.

The only reason I am giving this Walgreens one star is due completely to the lack of respect presented by the, Pharmacy Department. I just received a call from the pharmacist telling me, There is no reason you need this medication again. Keep in mind this medication does not alter your mind what so ever, that it is a PRN/as needed medication with about 3 more refills, and that I pay for my medications ordered by my Primary Care Physician.She proceeded to reiterate herself multiple times. I finally had to insert myself and explained; when I absolutely didnt need to that I was ordering my PRN a proscribed as needed medication so that I had it on hand, rather than wait for a refill order as waiting for a refill order could conflict with the medication required for treatment. She ended with, Oh, thats why you wanted it. How disrespectful, unthoughtful and unprofessional. Especially from one working in this field.

Horrible place to go for prescriptions. Ive been going there for over six months and literally every single time I go there, theres some sort of problem. They have given me the wrong product on more than one occasion. Sometimes my insurance works and sometimes it doesnt. So I have to wait there until they figure it out. I get emails telling me that my stuff is ready and go there to find out it actually isnt ready and I have to leave and come back. They are just extremely inconsistent and its horribly inconvenient and irritating.

Having a drive up window when you have a sick child is really an amazing feature! It is a good place to get meds! The staff is really friendly (usually) and willing to go the extra mile! HOWEVER, one LAME thing is that the Walgreens corp will not let the pharmacist order specific brands. For instance, if a person finds out that a specific generic works better than another generic for a daily medication, s/he cannot order that brand of generic due to prices, etc. Every other pharmacy will order whatever brand a customer needs if it is going to be a 365 days a year kind of medication. I for one would not mind paying a fee for a specific generic. Just sayin....
