Rather bizarre location, basically a store within a store...? Also a much smaller area than their original location, and it feels cramped even with the reduction in their inventory. Such a shame, as their store used to be one of my favorite places at this mall.

Went to find a elegant dress and found One that was originally $200 for $34.99!! Dressing rooms were OPEN! Also went to Return a dress Id decided not to keep. Returns can only be made on the Bottom floor at Service. What a pain along with quite a wait. :(

Went to the store about a month and a half ago with my mom and cousin, and this blonde girl was very rude to my mom. My moms first language is Spanish and she had asked for something and the blonde girl gave my mom attitude, then she spoke spanish after I came to ask her what we needed and quickly changed her attitude

Sadly this sephora doesnt have many options. I was immediately greeted by an associate and my cousin asked for help. Poor associate was by herself so I understand she was trying to hurry with us but she was extremely rude. I doubt Ill come back

Hannah & Dylan are rock stars. This sephora is small and always busy. But I 1st met Dylan when I came in to buy a powder foundation. Dylan is so approachable and easy to talk to. He color matched me and I learned about a whole new make up that I am in love with. Thank you Dylan.Now Hannah is everything. I ran into the store right before the closed. I was panicked because my foundation still hadnt been delivered and I was in a jam. Not only was she super cool and down to earth, she gave me a sample of what i needed and made my new years eve get back on track.

I arrived at the store found everything I needed. Every employee was standing behind the register talking about inappropriate subjects. I just went about my buiness collected what I went there for. I bought a total of 6 items. When I arrived home I unloaded the bag and realized an item was missing. I was not surprised seeing as when I checked out the employees acted as if I interrupted their pow wow time. I called the store. The lady wasnt very nice and said she would call me back. She did call back promptly to ask how many items I bought. Then she went on to tell me they checked the cameras and that is how many they put in the bag. Then why did she ask how many I bought if she knew? I went and double checked the truck, the stroller to be sure it was no where to be found. I called again and a different lady answered. With in three minutes she apologized and said the item is on hold for me to pick up. I thank that employee very much. The other made me feel like I was a liar. It was the least expensive item I bought. If I was going to be untruthful i wouldnt of done it over 15 bucks. I have never been made to feel that bad. I will never shop there again.

Came in for a few things and was assisted almost immediately upon entering the store. It was clean and organized and everyone was very helpful. Not sure what all of these negative reviews are about but I had a much better experience here than the sephora stores in the other local malls.

Horrible!!!!!!!product is never stocked Staff is RUDE and unapologetic.I waited 15-20min to ask an employee if they had a certain item in stock. I was passed by several times buy two employees who were to busy talking to each other. so I left and went to Ulta where I had a great experience. This not my first horrible experience at the Escondido store this is a constant occurrence. Either retrain your employees or get rid of them !

Wow Sephora please close this location down! The worst experience ever. The manager started a return for me, then handed it off to a newer employee to finish, then demanded my ID to verify the return and never gave me back my ID. When I called 45 minutes away where I live to confirm they still did have my id and never returned it, they claimed someone found it by the doors of the store which I am certain is untrue. Dear manager, please learn what Sephora customer service means. I’m a rouge and have been for years and I’d go to ulta before ever stopping foot in this Sephora location ever again.

Terrible customer service, they dont know anything about their product, give me a wrong information stating that clinic doesnt carry certain products which is not true, big mess in the store, very dirty, and not much of inventory in stock, this location should be closed and please open real Sephora location! I had to call corporate office to report that location and customer service

Came in to the store and I normally know what. I want because Im a makeup artist . I did asked one of the girls working if she could help me with finding out about an eyeliner and she did then I told her if she could give me a sample of of a foundation and then she turn around and tells me let me finish taking out the trash and once Im done Ill help you find the color and give an example because its going to take time to find the machine to match your color ... EXCUSE ME that is not customer service and when I get to the register the lady asked if everything was ok and I was like it was alright she apologized but never try to uncover how can she make my experience better.. HORRIBLE experience every time I come here every time theres different people..

I dont usually shop Sephora inside JCPENNEY, however, I was gifted a gift card to Sephora that can only be used inside JCPENNEY. With that being said, this particular Sephora is well stocked, good variety and a mini beauty studio with helpful and friendly staff. I can tell they are definitely short handed but they tried their best to accommodate everyone and made sure customers got what they need or were referred to another independent Sephora if they didnt have the item. Overall atmosphere was calm, relaxing, and no one tailed me around the store. I like it overall. If I had to get something fast, this would be the place to go.So, I got another one of these gift card to Sephora inside JC Penney.The inventory was non-existent, the only one working was the make up artist. All the items were tested and in various stages of used. The products were heated from the lighted shelf. This is a sad state of the store.

Sephora at the Jc Penny location in the Escondido mall is the MOST ghetto and unprofessional place I have ever been. They never have products, no customer service ,all the employees have zero class and no customer service idea ! SEPHORA CORPORATE start taking a look of what is going in that store, I know is in the Escondido area what do you expect from people no class or education. I would never shop there again , and I trust me I got money to spend but I dont deal with trash ghetto....! Just saying !

They never have anything in stock and they dont carry a lot of what the website says they do. They sell expensive products from brands that no ones ever even heard of, an underwhelming rewards system, disgusting tester products and yet they have the audacity to treat their employees like potential thieves. I hate buying here and wont do it unless I have to.

I went in on Sunday to go shopping for some new make up. Worst experience Ive ever had at a beauty store. I went in and not once did anyone great me or ask if Im finding anything ok. I stood in front of a product I was interested in, looking for help and no one was wanting to come help me out. Seemed like all the workers there we avoiding me like the plague. I left to go check other stuff out in the mall to see maybe they were busy and I came back and still no one was helping me out. Needless to say I will only be going to ulta from now on.

Very bad customer service on behalf of an associate named Luz, working there Sat. February 6, in the evening. She couldnt process a return for me, gave me bs for reasons. I had my receipts in hand and apparently that wasnt easy enough. She told me I had to return it at a free standing Sephora if I wanted what I had paid for them. I have NEVER had a problem returning anything at any other Sephora. Way to treat a Rouge member, very disappointed.

Filthy displays and dirty testers. I was honestly afraid to touch anything. That would be enough to turn me off, but the customer service was non-existent. I had a gift card with $100 to spend, but I ended up walking out. No one once asked me if they could help me find anything. I asked one employee if they carried Clinique. She said they had a limited range, so I asked where the products were in the store, she responds, what are you looking for? I answer, she says, we dont have that. I ask about another product, again, we dont have that. You know, how hard would it be to show me in your teeny weeny store where the clinique products are? Maybe suggest something similar to the products I was looking for. Clearly, these people take no pride in their work. Sephora should be ashamed and should really cut ties with JCPENNEY if they want to maintain their reputation.

Very bad customer service I shop there all the time, I had to buy a product because I swatched it because there were no testers out and I purchased it cause didnt want confrontation and then when asked for a sample to see what my color was she told me no and refused to give me one and she was so rude and even gossiped about me to other employees right in front of me thinking I wouldnt hear
