This place told me I can’t color it because it was not healthy enough... but to find out that she was not a color specialist and chopped my hair to her liking and styled it and blow dried it for over 60$ bucks is not a color correction. I went to another place and they said they can fix the color and it was healthy enough!!!!!!Mona from New York only does hair cuts- nice to know now my hair is healthy enough to color and I wish I knew then before chopping it off and month ago! Next appointment cancel....

Awesome!!!! I went there for a keratin treatment, and my hair was amazing afterwards. David was my stylist, and he did a great job with my hair, paying close attention with nice detail. He was also very kind and funny, so I will be returning to this salon once my keratin wears out!

I have taken my son here 3 times over the past 9-12 months, the first time I asked for just a trim above his ears and in the back. Well the lady I got (I never did get her name, she didnt introduce her hair), she cut all of his layers so he looked like he had a typical boy hair cut. I then went to the JCPenney in Carlsbad 2x and I got Aimee and she did a wonderful job. Since the Escondido JCPenney Salon is closer to my house I decided to go there again and got the same lady (still dont know her name), and she did great, cut his hair above his ears and in the back, she kept the layers long like I asked. Well, I went there yesterday again because I was at the mall and my sons hair was looking a little shaggy. So I got the same lady again (Still dont know her name). I told her to just trim above the ear and in the back and trim the bangs so they arent in his eyes. She did that at first but then she started trimming the layers and ask me if it was good enough, I said I didnt want the layers cut I just wanted it trimmed above the ears and in the back. She was like well now he has a boys haircut, I told her I dont care I wanted it long.I will NOT be going to this JCPenney Salon again. The lady did not listen to what I wanted 2 out of the 3 times I went. Yes, it is probably my fault since I went back after the first time but I figured I would try the salon again and I just happened to get the same lady 3x. If I do go back I will be sure to ask for another stylist and I will be more specific as to what I want! But, for now I will just go back to the salon in Carlsbad.

Allida is the BEST stylist Ive ever had! Shes honest about what my hair needs and when - without just trying to tack on more charges. Im confident that she will always do what is best for my hair. I ALWAYS get compliments on my hair after she does it!

I was brave last semester in Idaho and decided that I wanted a pixie cut done. It ended VERY badly. I had to wait for months before I could try to get it fixed. I live here now, and I very timidly scheduled an appointment here at the JCPenney salon, hoping that I wouldnt get another botched job. What a good decision I made!I made my appointment on Friday, and I got in on Saturday. Roshanda was my stylist and the first thing she asked for was a picture of my goal. I showed her and she talked about it with me, looking over my hair and making sure I wanted it this short here and blended like this here. She was very careful and kind, making sure that she knew what I wanted. As she cut, she was careful and only took off small amounts at a time. She listened when I asked her to blend things, and she explained why we couldnt do somethings in the back due to cowlicks. She is fantastic! She turned my long, scruffy, boyish hairdo into a lovely, professional pixie. All of the staff were very kind and thoughtful. Definitely recommend!

The absolute worst place I have hat I ever been EVER! I showed the lady exactly what I wanted. I explained that I wanted my hair to my shoulders, I wanted to be able to put it in a ponytail! She spent less than five minutes and whacked it off so quickly it’s just below my ear lobes I can’t put it in a ponytail. I would never ever recommend this place to anybody it doesn’t even deserve one star. And I can’t believe as I was crying they asked if I wanted to leave a ! ever go to this place! Worst experience in my 40 years of living!

Got a last minute appointment at 7pm and got cut by Christine. Very satisfied, she did an amazing job. My new go to salon! Never hada haircut this good.

Do yourself a favor and ask for David N. at the InStyle Salon inside of JCP! !He does an amazing job on my blonde hair and I always leave the salon with an amazing cut and with fantastic color that lasts for months. He works with me closely to figure out exactly what I want and he is very receptive to any changes that I want. Because of this attention to detail, I always leave his chair feeling confident and enamored with my hair style. I was especially nervous to cut some bangs, but David did a great job. And there is no denying the shampoo massage was amazing!!! Thanks David!
