Brunch was not what we expected. A little confused with the menu. The Loaded Baked Potato Cakes were hash browns and explained completely different by the waitress. The menu has an “add” section with sides but when we asked for a cinnamon roll, we were told we had to get a full order not just a cinnamon roll. Not sure what that meant so we passed on it. We’ll try it again with a better understanding of the menu.

It was really busy and we reserved a table and took a walk around the neighborhood. When we arrived the service was ok. I ordered a carafe of strawberry mimosas but the flavor was lacking. It tasted like a regular mimosa with a few strawberry seeds in it. I ordered the banana nut french toast with scrambled eggs and potatoes. The single french toast slice was recommended to me since I ordered potatoes, eggs, and sausage. The server said shes come check on is in a bit to see how everything tasted. My french toast slice was cold. Its obvious the cake is stored in a fridge before it is cooked as it was cold in the center and cool on the outside. The server didnt come until 10 minutes later and I was hungry do I ate everything else. When she did and I told her the issue, she asked me why I didnt get her. Which was a bit shocking considering she said shed return. I talked from the manager and they cooked the slice again but I had already finished most of my food. I personally like eating all of my food mixed together so I was disappointed. The food was pretty good but I probably wouldnt come back during a busy time.

Best meal we’ve had in Dallas and we had a ton - it was worth the wait. This is the second Yolk location I’ve been to and it was way better than Indianapolis. Heather was an awesome server - even though she was busy, she was attentive and super friendly. The food was SO good, the horchata latte was amazing ✨ and the ambiance is cute. But please get rid of the tables in the middle of the restaurant, in the middle of the aisle cause it sucks for everyone. For real.

Sunday Breakfast Before Church With My Hubby. Time Well Spend And Good Food To Talk About. Cheese Grits, Soft Gamble Eggs With Smoke Bacon With A Cup Of Coffee or Two.

This is a really popular restaurant so if you can get on the waiting list ahead of time, that would be best. We waited about 30 minutes before we were seated. The hostess brought water to the table in little jars and she put her hand on top of them, very unsanitary. I asked for straws immediately. The food was really good and my waitress, Ciara, was great. She made us feel welcome and she always spoke with a smile. Juice is served in little jars so if you drink a lot, youll have to keep ordering. Overall, I had a great experience.

I cant say enough about this place. Sooooo good! I want to go back before we leave Texas. The coffee was absolutely amazing I had the one with peanut butter and Reeses on top. The chicken tenders were so good. I had pancakes AMAZING!!!! Cute little water glass they bring to you. Such a cute Cafe.

Very accessible location.There were plenty of servers and ours was very friendly and took very good care of us.The food was very good and hot. I highly recommend the pancakes. They were crispy and soft at the same time.Different coffee choices, several different savory and sweet options for food. It was a very good option.

Visited the Yolk today 11/01/21. The breakfast was great. The Iron man Omelet was delicious along with the French Toast. The service was excellent and very helpful. If you’re in the area highly recommend. Omelets are done different and are great. Love the avocado mixed in. Our server Anahi was excellent!

Strawberry orange juice mimosa was good, as well as the French toast! Great atmosphere and very kind staff. I was a little let down by the eggs Benedict, but it was still good! My husband loved his omelette and grits!

Yolk at One Arts PlazaMy wife requested birthday brunch and she picked this amazing restaurant. She looked on Google and saw the best reviews and this was the place of her choice. Now walking up to it from the outside this does not look like a fancy establishment. But for this day and age the seating area was well spread out and comfortable for a nice brunch. Of course we ate outside and the outside area is extremely large and laid out. Now the surprise came to me is the food they serve you. I was looking at the menu and 🤔 thought it was kind of pricey for breakfast food. This was until the food arrived. The pictures that I am showing really do not do justice. The omelette was the size of a burrito. The sourdough toast with the butter and jam, I could have ate that all by itself. Only thing I was thinking they were kind of skimpy on was the beverages (Note: they do give you a large bottle of water). The drink size they served us were kind of small. Then I got to thinking thats how most places get filled up with liquid first. This place its the opposite of that ☺️We left full and very satisfied with our breakfast/brunch dining experience. The service was well organized and the waitress that served us was attentive enough to keep us satisfied with her service. So at the end of the day I feel like I got my moneys worth and thats a very satisfying feeling 😁

I ordered to go and in the notes asked for the scrambled eggs to be well done and dry. They were served with some parts cooked mixed with other parts that were still raw. Their website said they reserve the right NOT to honor customer requests and I guess my simple well done request was asking too much. Their website also said that canceled orders only receive 50% refund so I just ate the pancakes as it wasnt worth driving back. I had dropped off my daughter there to eat with friends before going to volunteer at her nearby school for the day. She said the waitress told her pancakes were included in her order so she went ahead and said ok and gave them to her friend. Turns out they were not included and instead of apologizing and removing them from the bill, the waitress just said oh my bad. Had I been with her I would have spoken to the manager, but theyre high school students who didnt know it was OK to speak up.

Yolk is the place for indulging in breakfast. The chicken and waffles is one of my favorites. The mini waffles have bacon pieces throughout each one 😋 and the sausage gravy is tasty. I recently went and tried the country skillet and it was delicious. Will be ordering it again. My waiter José was great.

Rude and chaotic. We wanted to get breakfast around 10:30am, we figured it would be busy so we attempted to make a reservation so we could be seated in a timely manner. We discovered that the reservation option had been disabled. We arrived at the restaurant and was told it would be near a two hour wait, we were kind and understanding (even though it’s very odd that there would be a wait but no option to get on a wait list prior to physically showing up) We were a few minutes from the Dallas Museum of Art so we decided to kill time there. Around an hour later we were told our table was ready, we immediately stopped what we were doing and headed to the restaurant. (Keep in mind we paid fifteen dollars for this museum and didn’t get to finish it due to inaccurate time frames) When we arrived back at the restaurant we were told we wouldn’t be seated because we took thirteen minutes to arrive instead of five. We were told we would be seated next. I was not upset at the information but instead how i was spoken to. Who I assume to be the manager was EXTREMELY rude and aggressive to me and I didn’t find it necessary. He refused to even give me a new estimate wait time because my friend was parking our car. When I asked questions he would just say “we have rules, we don’t seat incomplete parties.” I understand having rules but I saw no reason why I couldn’t be given any Information just because the other person was walking toward the building and not inside the building. It was also a party of TWO and the second person was ON PROPERTY. It felt very deliberate. I was basically told to just wait in a corner indefinitely with no Information. I find it ridiculous that I can wait AN HOUR for their table but they can’t wait thirteen minutes? Was I supposed to stand in the door way the entire time? Ridiculous. I would also like to state that there was at least ten empty tables, he simply could have sat us without any hassle. He also went out of his way to “confront” me again and immediately assumed I had negative intent when talking to one of his (NICER) staff members. (I wasn’t even complaining they asked if we had been helped) Let’s hope the food is good because the customer service, communication and efficiency was not.

Ive eaten here and the location at Preston before. Literally just went to the one off Preston over the weekend and had no issue. For some reason I thought my visit today went well until it was time for the waitress take my card. She grabbed it and walked away.. then came back within a few moments asking for my ID. I of course handed it to her but I asked why are you asking for my ID? Ive never been asked for my ID while checking out. And she responded My manager has been asking us to check ID I guess with alot of stolen cards these days. First of all thats messed up. I didnt see other people getting asked for ID while checking out. Idk if its cause I looked young or Hispanic but the manager himself looks Hispanic. Either way didnt seem right when others werent being asked for ID.

I founded out about Yolk while scrolling through TikTok and decided to take my wife on date for brunch. I would recommend everyone to go check them. The food was great our waitress great as well

I came for Sunday brunch and it was packed. With that said, I only had to wait about 5 min for a table and they texted me when it was ready. In my opinion where Yolk shines is their unique french toast. I got the red velvet which was literally slices of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting battered in french toast mixture and served with whipped cream. It was the perfect excuse to eat cake for breakfast. Also, I dont know if its just because of its name, but I got my eggs over easy and wowza the yolks were buttery, rich and next level amazing.

Visited Yolk for the first time for Brunch. We had a party of 3. We arrived in the NOON hr and waited about 15-20 mins for a table (there was a good crowd) our server Paola was VERY sweet and attentive while we were there... We had a Mimosa Carafe and i must say it was DELISH lol. I also ordered the Chicken n Bacon Waffles w/ fried egg and sausage gravy with Cheesy grits and Potatoes... the other 2 out of the 3 of us enjoyed their food as well (one of those being a kid) WONDERFUL! I will definitely be back, especially for thos waffles!!!!

The wait to be seated wasnt very long but the wait for our food was almost an hour. I wouldnt recommend seating outside. Way to many flies. I kept having to swat over my food and drink to keep them away Food wise- Ive had better at hole in the wall joints. Priced reasonably but I dont think I will be returning.

Great brunch spot in Dallas! Food is delicious. Coffee is nice and fresh. Omelets are great! They messed up my order of pancakes which took 35 minutes to remake. Originally I was upset but the fantastic server turned my frown upside down. Just because of his service and attentiveness he gave it the 5stars. It is an overall decent breakfast place. Generally, this chain provides consistently good food. I generally get one if Benedicts and substitute the meat with smoked salmon, which has a particularly delightful taste. In this particular branch, I thought it was weird when I requested to substitute the side of roasted potatoes with avocado that there would be an extra charge. They have gluten free toast, but that was also an extra charge. My husband had the California omelet, it looked like a stuffed burrito, it was pretty big. My husband loved it! As for the drinks, I didnt try any at this branch, but I have tried the dirty horchata without the coffee, it was quite yummy. My husband tried the peanut butter chocolate last before and really loves that, but then again hes nuts for peanuts. He tried the pistachio latte at this branch, but didnt really like it. It didnt have any distinct pistachio flavor and what I thought was weird was the green sprinkles. Wouldnt it make more sense to sprinkle it with pistachio? Any how, the service was good, average in terms of what to expect. They were about to say is at this two table section wedged up against the wall, but when we asked for a booth they obliged. When I asked for the avocado substitute, she listed other substitutes (tomato, fruits, berries) before my husband asked if it was impossible to get avocado, then they said it would be an extra charge. So they were okay. But like I said the experience is overall good.

All I can say is they really suck at customer service. I understand they want us to be patient but when you have a customers food sitting out there for over five minutes and all they do is stare at the bags instead of checking on the order that is sitting there, that’s very unprofessional. The manager should be ashamed of himself. Hire a more attentive staff.

This place service is not great!! We were looked over several times for a table because we had a baby that they considered a whole person. We told several of the Hostesses we could hold her and they still skipped over us and allowed parties of 2, 3 and 4 ahead of after waiting an HOUR AND 15MIN but was told 30min. People walked right in and seated before us over and over again. We wouldve left but we came for a special occasion. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Omg! This place was sooooo delicious! I took my boys on a breakfast date and we just so happen to pass this place up and it was the best decision ever! My younger son got a burrito but me and my oldest son got the chicken and waffles and it was really good. Host messed up my number to be messaged to sit so waited an hour so I had to go check and they said they notified me, they messaged a number way off from mine and then wanted to sit us inside instead of outside like we requested, took about 15min for us to be greeted after we sat, our waitress only came by 1 time for the order never to be seen again and then the food was awful, no flavor behind chilaquiles and the chips were so stale they were hard as a rock and hurt to bite. First time I experienced dry stale chips in chilaquiles, truly a disappointment and do not recommend.

Great Food but horrible wait time.We reserved seating at the Yolk Restaurant at 11:30 and didn’t get seated until 1pm, after we were seated it took over 30 minutes for a simple coffee and when the waitress took our order it took another hour, we also happened to notice that another party of 4 was seated and hadn’t received there food yet despite being there before us. Despite all of that the food was very good.

Great place for brunch, imagine IHOP on steroids. Great chamomile tea and the countryside skillet was delicious and the bacon was great (I was told to order it crispy or it would be juicy). Although valet parking is the only kind of parking, it was well worth it. This is the best brunch restaurant Ive been to.

Love love love coming here for breakfast-brunch! This location in the Arts District (well pretty much all locations) do get quite busy but definitely worth the wait.Service was very good and our waitress kept our coffee on full and was awesome in filling our creamer and sugar request.The food is always on point, although the bacon may have been either a little too done not too certain. The bacon was thick cut which was okay by me. My fav is always the very berry French Toast, served with like a sweet Greek yogurt and granola mix on top. The country skillet was very good as well and would have been much better if my some had put the sausage gravy on top but he doesnt like it like that. The eggs over medium was good as well but wished it was cooked just a few seconds more and the pancakes were great as well.

Yolk was the only place open today that we could find. As we pulled up, there was a line of delivery drivers picking up food. We walked in and we were seated very quickly. Our server Maria was so kind and very attentive to our table. She is awesome! Everyone was working so hard. We love the food and everyone who works here! We are so grateful they were open. Special shout-out to the GM Jesus who made sure every table was happy!

Anticipated going for brunch, which turned to a lunch after waiting for a mere 75 mins for a table. Worth the wait? Absolutely not. I got the grilled cheese supreme which comes with tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and goat cheese (minus the bacon) on a grilled challah bread, and a side of onion fries. The grilled cheese was super soggy as opposed to being moist. The onion fries lacked flavor. I paid over $15 for some bread and not so gourmet cheese. Quality ingredients were not there. The food tasted like something out of a fast food diner, comparable to that of Waffle House. Service was pretty ordinary. Our waitress didnt really go out of her way to please us. Not sure what the hype was about this place but I am confident I will not be returning again.

Worst coffee ever. Spent $15 and got some weird mini shot of espresso when I ordered a caramel macchiato. The cold brew just tasted like old coffee that had been put on ice. Both terrible. That third thing..I have no idea what that was but the barista guy made it seem like that was supposed to be my almond milk (it was not almond milk just another terribly tasting shot of espresso)The food was ok but not worth the price.We didn’t speak to the manager but I did leave $15 worth of newly purchased coffee on the counter in front of his face and he said nothing.The people were very nice, service was good but the food/coffee wasn’t great.Not recommended.

Sunday brunch brings about a 45 minute wait. However, opted to eat at bar within a few minutes of asking the hostess. Pretty odd to see many empty tables with such a high wait time. It wasnt until I suspected that the staff was less than the patrons. Needless to say, Jose took care of every need. Food prepared in a timely manner and str8 forward. Next time I will go with the French toast or waffle options, my usual. I got the Kale Scrambler (includes pancake & potatoes) as a one-off. Nice size portions, I hated to leave my leftovers. Great strawberry mimosas...get the carafe! Great value for the price. Overall nice brunch. Valet service available, just have waiter to validate receipt, otherwise, it is $10.

The pictures make this meal look good, but I am VERY dissatisfied by this meal! I asked for over well on the Benedict and was given poached. The roast was on the dry side. WHERE IS THE HOLLANDAISE!? Like how do you even eat a Benedict w/ no sauce!? The scramble was more like a Quiche (note that I asked for SCRAMBLED EGGS). We tried calling them to rectify and didn’t get an answer. I can’t say that I will be returning.

It can at times be difficult to tell if the food tastes good or if you are just that hungry. We dont take issue with wait times of 45+ minutes to be seated at our table, but when it takes that long plus more to get our food after said wait, it creates an incredibly dissatisfying experience. It was really more the people being seated after us getting there food before us that was most concerning. Upon asking our server, 45 minutes after we ordered, she just shrugged and said she didnt know and would check. 7 minutes later, our food came out with no apology, no explanation. At the end when our bill quickly came, we waited sat longer waiting give our payment. I finally just used an electronic payment option. I dont know if this is a staffing issue or service issue. Our server seemed sweet enough when we saw, but noone else even came over if she was having trouble keeping up. 2 stars as they accommodated our desire to move under a more covered table and the food may be good (see initial sentence).

This was my first time at Yolk, my boyfriend and I wanted to have brunch around Dallas and he suggested it. We sat outside because the weather was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Heather was our waitress and she was an absolute peach! Everything was exactly as described (I got the West-Coast Crepes and my boyfriend got the Breakfast Burrito). They’re vegetarian friendly, and would definitely recommend their orange strawberry juice mimosa :)

Food was great. Wait time was horrible. Waited an hour and a half to be seated. Hispanic manager was very rude and un-accommodating. He acted like he didn’t want to be there and was upset that he was.

Let me tell you something, Heather is THE BEST server at Yolk. She ALWAYS enhances the experience. Thank you Heather for always delivery a GREAT experience.

Omg the food was ok but a two hour wait. I dont think Ill make that mistake again. The manager and staff looked like they were a bit confused. There went a lot of dirty tables.

Yolk is simply the best breakfast restaurant in Dallas. Excellent food and service.

Found this place by chance on our last day of vacation, sooooo glad we did! The Bloody Mary was delicious and the strawberry orange mimosa was made with fresh crushed strawberries. All of the dishes were made with fresh ingredients and very tasty. Made the rookie mistake and ordered too much food and couldnt finish, portions were good size, but it was the flavors I am more interested in. Would definitely recommend and would go back. Since this is sort of a chain, I would definitely look for it when visiting other states/cities.

Order made through Google for pickup. The food hadn’t even been started when we arrived 20 minutes after the order was placed. The person working the register stated they would not be making the order because they turned off online ordering even with proof of receipt. The manager finally came over and had the food made. I won’t be coming back until they teach the staff to have some semblance of customer service or better yet get rid of the smug and rude employees. And after everything, they still forgot the bacon with the order and gave us toast instead of pancakes. Just avoid this place.

Overall:1 star to start off, location is really nice in the downtown area (+1 star). Really good breakfast good food (+1 star) and the fact that it is BYOB is of course another +1. Lastly the service was great by our waiter and the food was timely and her recommendations that were off the menu were good.To nitpick the plate I got said it was pulled pork but it didnt seem like that was the case but it was very delicious I cant really complain.

Food was absolutely amazing. Great service. Highly recommend. Would give 10 stars if I could
