I purchased this car somewhat site unseen and Curtis made that process very easy and quick.Upon finding help with the test ride and inspection of the vehicle, I found out it was spotless, clean and everything that was described to me over the phone was exactly what I saw in person.Cottonwood and Curtis were able to work with me as to when I could come from out of state to pick the vehicle up and that made the process very easy. Took my OBD scanner to the vehicle turns out there were transfer case issues.I still wanted the vehicle but the owner Ty would not budge.Scan the vehicles before you buy. If you dont have a scanner borrow one from the local parts store. In closing, bad publicity is good publicity, hope this helps those that shop there.Thanks

Make sure you get a Carfax from them before you buy a car. I bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu on March 25th. I asked the sales guy if there was anything wrong with it cuz it had 50,000 miles on it. Of course he said No. Come to find out its been in a major accident and now I got $14,000 piece of junk sitting in my yard. Id give them zero stars but stupid Google will only let me do one to post this.

I cant really say it was a good experience. I found the sellsman to be rude and unhelpful. He never even got out from behind his desk! But bragged he had been selling cars since the 80s. Asked if he could find me a certain vehicle & he said no. The prices seemed much higher than other dealers. I ended up calling Gilpin Ford in Dewey, and Joe Almand found me a car within 1 hour, at a very good price. I know everyone wants to support the local businesses. But most of the time it pays to leave Cottonwood and buy elsewhere. I will never recommend this little dealership

I had a wonderful experience here first time buying from a smaller dealership. The vehicles they have are really nice I had called Clifford about a 02 tundra that I had seen. Talked about it asked for some more pictures not on the website (their own website cant trust others pricing) he sent them right away. Set up a time to look the truck over and test drive it. Drove out from surprise to cottonwood auto sales met Clifford (very nice guy) inspected the truck and test drove. Which he let me test fit my daughters car seat in the truck and take her for a test drive as well. Made a deal (a very good one) and he even met me on a Sunday to pick up the truck so I could have another driver with me. Overall an awesome place I definitely would buy my next vehicle here.

In June 2020 my Daughter decided to buy a Rav 4. We did a search and found a 2007 that interested her at Cottonwood Auto Sales. We drove over from Prescott for a test drive.The car seemed to drive well, but we were concerned when all the warning lights came on during the test drive..We brought that to the attention of the sales staff. They assured us they would have their mechanic go over it . The next day we were called and told that the mechanic checked the engine out and all was ok. My daughter really wanted the car.We brought it to our trusted mechanic in Prescott after she purchased it. It required over $2,000 worth of engine work, to bring it to a safe driving condition, as well as a complete set of new tires, as the tires on it were mismatched and unsafe. I know, buyer beware, and we will never purchase a used vehicle without having a mechanic we trust going over it before buying.I waited this long to do a review, because I was wanting to calm down and find nice words to use. Now she is having transmission issues and it is in the shop again.Unfortunately she traded in a 2001 Toyota 4-Runner that had been maintained well and will give a new buyer many miles of safe and worry free driving, which was not what she received from the purchase of her newer , lower mileage vehicle.

After a low oil pressure issue(not too bad of a fix) i have to replace the transmission in my Tahoe. There goes about $5000 dollars on a 123,000 mile vehicle that obviously wasnt maintained as well as i was led to believe. Clifford was a nice guy and honestly did help me out by helping me get the vehicle... but buyer beware. Definitely bring an honest, experienced mechanic with you if you decide to buy from them.

I was reluctant to buy a car from a used car dealership. It can often be a very intimidating experience for a single woman. I ended up having a great experience! Curtis was my salesman and he bent over backwards to help me get into the exact car I needed and wanted (even given my tough financial circumstances). I had a small budget but ended up with a fabulous car. I have had the car now for several months and it is still running great! Curtis was very respectful and tried his hardest to make the entire thing a pleasant experience. I would buy a car from here again. I would ask for Curtis.

This review is for the location west of Galpin (there are two locations for Cottonwood Auto Sales). I took my Ford E350 V8 Triton 5.4L in for diagnosis of a loud tapping sound upon cold startup. Phil, the mechanic, was able to diagnose it immediately...after a couple other mechanics elsewhere were unable to properly diagnose it. He fixed it the next day for a fair price and it solved my problem 100%. I highly recommend Phil at Cottonwood Auto Sales for any mechanical work on your vehicle!

Bought my first car here expecting no troubles. First the radio didnt work which they fixed and then the air didnt work which they also fixed. But while I was in a drive through my car started over heating for no reason.They told me to bring it over and when we brought it to them they said nothing was wrong with the car. Its been 5 months and my car has overheated 3 times. Wouldnt recommend if youre looking for something reliable.

Dont buy without an outside mechanic inspection first they sell lemons. Not even a month after I bought a vehicle there have I had to pay an extra $1,200 to fix all the massive oil leaks they apparently missed. Took it two dealers and apparently there is still more wrong with it.

I got a truck. 9-11-19. No parking brake. I took it in told them they were very annoyed because they had to fix their mistake they sold me an unsafe vehicle let me take it off the parking lot on the 11th I had told them about the parking brake they said okay we will schedule it and still they continue to let me drive that truck around so today the 18th of September I went back there told them I wanted my money back they said heres a rental and what was wrong with it. So Ill see they also said they dont have rental insurance so if anyone asks Im test driving it. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE CROOKED AS ALL GET OUT . AFTER THIS THIRD TIME GETTING IT BACK NOTHING HAS CHANGED WITH THIS TRUCK AGAIN THIS THIRD TIME I TOLD TIE OR HOWEVER HIS NAME IS SPELT I WANTED MY MONEY BACK IVE TOLD THESE PEOPLE THREE TIMES TO REFUND MY DEPOSIT OF $1500 AND THEY DID NOT. THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW. TODAY 10-16-19 I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH CURTIS HE INFORMED ME ITS WELL PAST MY RETURN DATE BUT I ASKED TO RETURN IT 9-18-19. SO I CALLED. 12 NEWS AND COMPLAINED. CURTIS SAID ITS A DONE DEAL THERES NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT ........... DO NOT GO TO THESE CROOKS

Got financed for a used 05 Toyota tundra with 116000mi. from cottonwood auto sales last month. Cliff the sales associate was nice. The vehicle at first was running great, interior looked good for being such a small dealership. As I looked deeper I noticed that the inside compartments was not detailed well at all. besides the seats and carpet looked to be the only things cleaned the cigarette tray was full.. window tint was peeling off the drivers side door as well as the drivers side mirror is cracked now 3 weeks into driving it check engine lights comes on I ran a diagnostic with the obd2 reader I have. Im having multiple cylinder misfires and o2 senors is bad. Will not be returning to this dealership.

Walked onto lot with up to 6k for a down (cause my credit sucks) but they way he was talking down to me, hopped my happy butt in the car and left..Every question I asked, he closed off till I got the hint he had no time for me. Mr Steve Suit when your employees treat people badly this is a small town, word gets around. My credit isnt the best, but left the lot being confused on wth just happened..Was bizarre tobe treated that way for stopping by to see if we could do a deal on a truck..Met the owner the first time I stopped on the lot, wish I would stuck with you..

11/1....update...the recent post from a Curtis raving about this dealer is from someone who works there!!!! Do not buy from this dealer! I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB and attorney generals office. I bought a 2011 Hyundai Elantra from them in July of this year. Within a week I noticed transmission problems. Since the car is covered by the Arizona lemon law, they are obligated to fix the vehicle. They had me take it to their mechanic who said there was an issue, then had me poor something in the gas tank in attempt to fix the problem, all along saying to me there cant be anything wrong with it. They even had me take it to a transmission guy who scanned it and got codes confirming a problem. I left it with them for a week, they had Hyundai look at it in which they told them to replace my transmission! They, instead, replaced a sensor, which still hasnt fixed the problem! My recent attempt to have them respond to this has been ignored. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN! They will disrespect you !

Very rude. Information was misleading they told us we needed 15% minimum for a down payment on the paper they handed out. When my fiancé went in for the $10,000 car with the $1,500 they told him it wasnt enough. Called in to get an explanation to why the information they gave was incorrect. The guy I spoke with kept interrupting and was talking to me like I was stupid and a toddler. At one point he told me to go get a dictionary and look up the word minimum and then spelt it out. Advised I know what the word meant and he shouldnt be so rude to a potential buyer. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE. I will definitely be telling anyone looking to buy a car to steer clear of this place!

Bought a used 05 Chevrolet Silverado was told that the original owner traded it in, turns out that was a lie thy bought it from auction. They wouldnt replace under warranty wanted me to pay for it out of pocket. Three months of owning the truck the rear end goes out! 6 months after the rear end the motor went out at 109k miles! Now today 11-1-17 the transmission front transfer case locked up and ruined the truck! Curtis is very unprofessional says he looked the truck up and down, but couldnt seem to notice that the head liner was falling down, he said the tires had about 50-75% left, thats another lie I replaced them a few months after due to metal starting to show on the inside rear tire. Now for the suspension it needs upper and lower ball joints, cv axels, shocks. Oh Curtis also said that they had the rear brakes done when I confronted him that I had to do the rear brakes he said hmm then we must have done the fronts, well those had to be replaced also due to major over heating on the rotors from the previous owner! BASCISLLY DONT BUY A USED VEHICLE ESPECIALY IF ITS AT THIS PLACE AND THROUGH CURTIS HES A TYPICAL SALES MAN!

2nd Update: we bought 2 vehicles from this dealership on the same day and both vehicles are garbage and so are the warranties they gave for the first 90 days and 4500 miles. 1 truck needs $1300 in repairs they are only coveting $278 of it the 2nd truck needs $2500 in repairs and they are covering less than $1000 of it. These are all issues the dealership surely new about before selling these vehicles. They masked the issues and sold the vehicles with no integrity.UPDATED: The 90 day 4500 mile warranty offered as pretty much bumper to bumper is garbage and doesnt cover anything. We are nearly $1000 out in repairs so far for a vehicle we have had less than 90 days.We recently purchased 2 different trucks from this dealership. The staff was very respectful. We live in the valley and they made the process of getting financed over the phone quick and smooth. We did experience minor issues and they have been very responsive to honor the 90 day warranties even meeting us to retrieve the vehicle and deliver it to our home when repairs were complete.
