Standard W Marine shop but with truly helpful staff, especially Doyle.

I havent had the best luck buying spinning rods there. But they were very kind and apologetic. They gave me credit to purchase another with no problem.

The staff were very helpful. they helped me find everything I needed to e safe while on the water.

This location in particular always has big time inventory problems. I can only find at most half of what I was looking for in the last 12 months. But a short trip Northbound to Academy or Walmart usually took care of my needs!

Love this store! So well organized and the manager really knows his products! He was so knowledgeable and so friendly. He took the time to listen to what I was needing and showed me all my options. Went in for a Garmin antenna which is not a common part. They found it immediately and explained how to install it. Knowledgable, helpful staff. I was impressed. Plus, its a fun place to shop. Great inventory. Same experience everyone I go in.

What a joke. Online always says they have. Drive over and guess what? They never have anything. Last time for me.Overpriced and nothing in stock. Not a good combo in my opinion. Wal mart in the bluff has more boat accessories.

I drove 4 hours to pick up a boat from here. Good customer service from the ladies up front but not everyone shared the same attitude . Some employees made it seem like it was a problem me asking a question or asking for assistance. Prices are a little high but I was able to get everything I needed in one spot. I wouldnt shop here unless I had too .

Went to several sites for electrical adaptor but unsuccessful until West Marine. Would have saved time to go there first.

Actually went there to get a penn reel combo no one else had. Didnt realize they had so much fishing stuff not just Boat stuff. Worth checking out. 4 stars only cause I didnt have time to see it all. But service was great

Attempted to have a new reel spooled with braid. Was told that the person who loads line was busy for the next hour. My options where. 1. Leave the reel and pick it up in an hour and a half 2. Come back in an hour and a half and he would be available then. Both options were inconvenience. Ive been coming to this store for the past year since Ive retired and moved to C.C. and half the time they dont have a person that knows how to load line. This is the 5th time in the past year! Why not train employees vice causing an inconvenience for customers? Recommend a process improvement plan. Good luck.

Walked up to front counter with my purchase, 2 employees behind front counter, one in front of counter calling out numbers to guys behind counter, I was only customer standing in front of them with something in my hands to buy. Not one time did they acknowledge me, say anything or even look me, finally after 3-4 minutes of just standing there I put my purchase on their counter and started walking off when one of them said sir I was about to wait on you, but only after I started walking off. Told them it was too late as I was already at the front door, I went across the street and bought what I needed and was appreciated, and thanked for my purchase. Their customer service is horrible.

Its west marine, organized, has high quality stuff, and you pay for it.

It took 10 minutes of standing in front of the store manager to even be addressed. I explained exactly what I needed to him. He sent someone to the storeroom to get what he said. When it was brought out, it was the incorrect part. Next, an employee, Now, said, this is all we have. I had to request to see a catalog which was thrown onto the counter to the comment, I dont know if antennas are in there. I found the item I needed in the catalog. Finally the register clerk assisted me. My part was finally ordered with the great assistance of Jeremy and the cashier.Unless you cannot get the part you need on line or need it sooner, or look like a high roller, I would wonder if this is the store for what you.

Had what I needed. Checkout was quick, considering all the COVID stuff.

Great Staff. Friendly and knowledgeable. I think I was approached by almost all of the employees, to make sure I was finding everything ok. They also made sure I had everything I needed when I checked out. I did pay more for some of my items, but the service and quality of the product made it a better buy, hands down. I will definitely shop West Marine for my future boating needs.

Good selection but they all work on commission. Youll pay more for the convenience of their inventory. Do not buy their fishing tackle...go to Roys Bait and tackle across SPID. Youll save money. Or....Save more $ and buy online.

Well stocked marine needs store. Only issue was a phone in order that wasnt picked at all and the associate rushed and got some of wrong items after I arrived. Other than that, wide variety, decent prices for specialty store, and friendly staffed.

It’s New Years Eve at the Corpus Christi, Tx location. The assistant store manager (Ken) was real rude. Walked in at 4:53, didn’t know the store closed at 5 today, sign says close at 7. Ken said “you need to get out we close at 5, seriously” As i was walking out I could here ken mumbling things about me under his breath. HORRIBLE customer experience. I will not do business here again.

Spent a lot of money with West Marine and found out that there warranty on there fishing rods arent what they say. The eyes on the rod rusted off in a year and I took the rods back but they wouldnt replace them. I couldnt believe after I bought the extended warranty so I ask for them to check with the manager. They said that the manager said there not going to warranty it. Ive spent thousands of dollars in a year with them and told them that I will stop spending any money if not warranty them. Still said no. So I order everything on line from others now. They have lost a customer for life. Thanks for showing me your true colors West Marine.

It’s very frustrating to call ahead to verify they have a GPS in stock, only to arrive and find the only one they had was the display. Apparently the person I spoke with on the phone was the manager, Shawn and he was too busy to speak with me in the store.

While I cringe at prices sometimes the staff gives value to anything I purchase at any West Marine store. Their willingness to help, inform and share their knowledge keeps me coming back.
