The guys were extremely helpful and patient with this beginner Fisherwoman..lol.I really appreciate that. They had Menhaden! Many dont around here. They have ALOT OF BAIT VARIETY, LURES, ICE! SNACKS AND MORE!! GREAT SPOT!! RIGHT outside NASCCAD, and the Intracoastal waterway turnaround, close to OSO bay turnaround and flour bluff also. Prices are great too. Ty Bait Bucket!!

They sold me the smallest shrimp ever in my life. The fact they sold that with no remorse lead me to go elsewhere from now on. To worried about making a buck rather than providing honest service,felt ripped off.

Its a baitstand, I went in looking for live shrimp but they didnt have any but then neither did anyone else in the area. They did have dead shrimp at a reasonable price so bought a pound of that and a packet of Fish Bites. The clerk was a nice guy and he chit chatted with me for a few minutes and gave me the scoop on what the fishermen had been telling him. I was pretty impressed by how clean the place was for a baitstand. The prices there were all pretty reasonable. Ill be back in there in the future for bait and fishing info.

My favorite stop when hitting up Packery channel or port A. Always fresh dead and usually live shrimp, with crab, mullet and squid if you need it. Good selection of tackle, and very nice employees. They also keep a clean bathroom, so extra points!

Had plenty of bait but no fishing license no reason to stop here if I cant get a fishing license when I go to get bait had to go to two places but if you already have your license its a good place to get bait.

The Bait Bucket is the first place I shop for bait and tackle. I always feel that they are in Business to make my fishing adventures a success! I never feel like I was short changed on my live shrimp! I have been a Bait Bucket customer for over twenty years!

This place has great prices, both live and dead shrimp sold here. But live shimp is usually sold be end of day.

The live bait shrimp here can be pretty big. I personally like the smaller ones, but all in all its pretty reasonable.

Fresh and I mean fresh. And not pricey. Come early this seems to be the stop for those who know.

We got our bait from here several times during ther week of 3/11-3/15/2013. After finding old skunky dead shrimp and squid frozen in blocks of water at nearby shops, the fresh dead we got here was fresh enough to be food grade. They are friendly, helpful, and the shop is clean and does not smell like old dead fish. The only place to bait up if going to North Padre Island.

I am a local and the last two times ive been here to purchase live shrimp.. Both times the shrimp were tiny and could not be kept alive even on small hooks. Out of fustration i dumped all 60 shrimp into Laguna. This place is a rip off, ill never go there again and im from the Bluff. Only reason i stopped there again because traffic was backed up to the bluff on park rd 22 Memorial weekend. Lousy service and lousy bait here. Did better catching my own bait in creeks on Laguna shores. Catch all the croaker you need there. Good Luck
