Excellent place! They are always so helpful and keep me updated on whats going on with my car. I dont really have a comparison because I have no idea how much car things cost but Ive never felt cheated or anything and Ill probably continue to go to them until I move away.

I called and had my car towed the next day. They replaced the starter and charged the battery. I was able to pick up my vehicle before they closed that day. I have had cars in the shop for weeks! They called me and informed me of the price. My receipt was a little higher because I didnt see the sign that stated there was an extra fee for paying with a credit card. I would not hesitate to contact them should any other issues arise.

The folks at Complete car care are professional, honest and the quality of work is amazing. I take all my cars to them and only place I trust in this area with my cars. The owner, front staff and the mechanics are extremely passionate and deliver quality work.

Brought a car in for alignment and they found something stuck and unable to align the front of the car. They informed me that to fix the issue the whole steering rack would need replacement. Something in the neighborhood of $1500. At that point I raised an eyebrow, paid, and left with an incomplete alignment. Upon checking it out myself I found that the inner and outer tie rods were in fact seized and would not allow alignment adjustment. I ordered new inner and outer tie rods along with boots and took a few hours of my own time to replace the parts that were actually worn. I found the steering rack to be in excellent shape, zero leaks, and not in need of replacement. There is nothing special about my car. Every car on the road has an inner tie rod bolted to the steering rack and outer tie rod bolted to the knuckle/wheel hub. Their technician failing to know that an inner tie rod can easily be replaced is a critical error for me. I will not be back.Interestingly enough the seized threads (adjustment point) on both tie rods appeared to have some kind of thread locker that even a torch wouldnt melt out. Complete Car Care was the last shop to touch that adjustment point 2 years ago with the prior alignment.

The ONLY place you should go in Columbia. Honesty is priceless and their customer service is unmatched.

I took my car to a couple mechanics when my check engine light came on, but none of them could figure out what was wrong. I then took my car to complete car care and they were able to figure out the problem and fix it within 24 hours. They even called me and explained what was wrong and made sure I was ok with them moving forward before they even started fixing the issue! I will take my car here for as long as I live in Columbia.

I went here after being turned away at 3 different Firestone repair locations in Columbia for a leaking tire. I was seen within 5 minutes and the repair took that long. I was two hours away from my home and Complete Car Care took care of me. Thank You very much!!!!!!

Ive had great experiences with this garage. Doug has always treated my cars (wife, kids etc) like they were his own. I trust his judgement and he helps me make smart $ decisions. If you are not sure who to trust, trust Doug at Complete Car Care. I do, and have for many years.

Bill at the front desk was very kind to me in my first ever car problem. He, and the men that worked on my car, were very insightful and eager to show me what the issue was. They allowed my dog in the lobby, and everybody was kind to her as well. Overall, a wonderful experience.

After speaking with many coworkers I had three of them recommend complete car care as being the best and nothing but pleased with the quality of work and both Patrick and Bills help getting my ram up and running after needing cam and lifters the mechanic who worked on it Dan got everything put back together perfectly and it sounds better then when I bought the truck Im very pleased with their shop.

I took my car here after my dealership was unable to help at all. These people were prompt, patient, and hardworking to fix my problems. Nice people -- but I took my car here twice to be diagnosed by them, and I believe they did their best. However, about a week after the first visit the engine light came on. I took it back and asked for every single thing to be checked to avoid having to return again -- they did some work on it and I was rolling again. I was concerned that something was going on with my engine, which was the initial reason for my visit -- I trusted their expertise, and had them do work for me TWICE. Well fast forward to now, my car was still showing the problems that I thought they fixed =/. I took it to another shop that did an very detailed diagnostic and they found problems with the engine that.Im concerned that Complete Car Care overlooked the issues initially even after 2 visits.

Had a flat tire on our way to GA. They let me drop off the car right away and quickly repaired the puncture. Very accommodating!

First time customer, I was treated well and did NOT feel as I was given the run around as I do at most auto shops. I was charged a very reasonable price for the work done and Im very happy. If you have a wait time for your vehicle, Main St. Is about 3 blocks away with plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop to kill some time if thats your thing! Would recommend!

This place has been in business for quite a while. The service manager, Bill Vandiver is one of the most knowledgeable car people in Columbia. They repair all makes and models and do it at a reasonable price. I have been using them for over 25 years and they have never wants let me down.

I would have to say that this is by far the best shop in Columbia and probably the state. First class service and help no matter what. I would trust them to handle any job over even the dealers. Their staff are the best in the area and get the job done right the first time and on time. 5 stars is an understatement!

Took my truck in, told them the problem it was having (difficulty accelerating with a manual), they took a day to access the issue & found the problem was the clutch. They did NOT charge me for finding the problem. I set up a date with Bill for a couple weeks later to have it fixed. Bill was friendly and helpful. The quote that was given to me is what i paid at the end of service. The process was easy & we will continue to go here. I can honestly say Bill was kind & honest throughout the whole thing. Bill didnt use big, fancy words like a big mechanic dealership would, he made me understand the issue and how it could be resolved. He also answered every question I had. Kuddos for good customer service and a responsible & reliable mechanic.

Always a pleasant experience. Very professional. They dont try to fix things that dont need fixing. Will always check with you before starting a job to let you know what needs to be fixed and how much the cost. If there is a less expensive way to fix your problem they will let you know. My neaborhood is quite pleased with their work.

They diagnosed and repaired my car in the same day, and the price was far lower than I expected.

Had the best first experience here via a recommendation from a friend. My Honda needed new rotors and brake pads. I called Honda for a quote and they wanted $927. So I bought the parts at NAPA for $160 and Complete Car Care only charged me for the labor. They saved me over $500, and Bill at the front was so caring and reassuring. I will be coming here from now on!

I have six autos and trucks and have found this is the best place to have them repaired and serviced. Just got my Ranger FX4 back after transmission repair $1800.00, dealer wanted $6000.00. Had the shift lever and linkage repaired a couple of weeks ago, $139.00, dealer wanted $800.00, Had rotors and pads replaced on my 2012 Tacoma, very good price. If you are taking your vehicles anywhere else you are paying too much and you cant get better quality service. Patrick and Bill are great guys, they are very knowledgeable and I feel like they are friends rather than just someone that is going to repair my car. Please, give them a try, if you find me wrong Ill change my review. TWO THUMBS UP.

I have been a customer of Complete Car Care for more than 20 years. I have referred all my friends and they agree that the service is great. From routine maintenance to replacing a motor they do it all for a reasonable price and personal attention. Example: when I was out of town my wife took our truck to another place that was suppose to have low prices. After they ran the computer diagnostic they told her that much of the ignition system needed to be replaced. It was going to cost $1,100. I called Complete Car Care and asked them to get the truck and see what was going on. Sometime later they called me and said the truck had been repaired and the cost was $87.00.

As a 21 year old female, I know nothing about cars, but have had nothing but excellent service here. They have fixed all of my problems quickly and at a perfectly reasonable price. Theyve even stayed open late for me so I could pick my car up after I got off work. Its safe to say that as long as I live in Columbia, I will be taking my car here when I need to.

Can I give 10 Stars?! We had a slow leak and coming from out of town. The mechanic was very knowledgeable, friendly, speedy, and fixed the tire on the spot (while we were still in it)!

I am new to the area and needed to quickly find an oil change place due to a last minute trip. I settled with GoodYear because they advertised a low price and were open on Sunday. They highlighted some critical work that my car needed but that I couldnt attend to immediately due to my trip.2 weeks later my car had severe trouble starting. I was referred to Total Car Care, and was incredibly impressed. The staff took my car in Friday afternoon, and Monday morning called me to talk through the issue and options (they are closed Sat and Sun). Not only did they fix the starting problem by the end of the day, but also attended to the critical work Goodyear brought to my attention FOR 20% LESS! Bill and team were incredibly professional, didnt make me feel like an idiot, and truly do have the best prices I could find. I now have a reliable shop for all of my cars needs (I have a 15 year old import). At least check these guys out if youre looking for someone!

CCC is absolutely THE best mechanic in town!!! These guys have been able to find solutions to problems that NO ONE else was able to.

My son goes to USC and I needed a person who would take care of car issues while he is so far from home. I went to Bill and he could not be a more kind and fair businessman. My son was taking a 900 mile trip and I wanted his car to be looked over to be sure he was good to ride and Bill did it, FREE. Ive really been screwed over by some car service companies in the past. Ive been using these guys for about 5 years now and have no complaints. They always have my car finished when they say they will, and they are very reasonably priced. The same guy (Bill) always calls me back to tell me exactly what the problem is and when it will be fixed, and he remembers me and the type of car I have even though I only come in about three times a year. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for service.

I’ve been taking my car here for years now and always feel takin care of and really trust them. This time my car was towed there with an expensive fix and they gave me a couple of days to make a decision and didn’t rush me, and gave me advice on how to best handle it. I ended up trading in the car and buying a new one and the dealership is taking care of my broken down car that’s sitting at Complete Car Care. Now they’ll have a new car of mine to regularly maintenance!I always recommend them to anyone in the Columbia area.

When we moved to Columbia we took our car to another mechanic-- we were told that the a/c compressor needed to be replaced. A friend referred us to complete car care and they advised that only a part needed to be replaced- not whole compressor unit. Repair was done quickly at fraction of what replacing the whole compressor would have been. Been going to them ever since.

Good place but. Added $200+ to my abs part then disposal then shop supplies.

I will agree with most comments that this place is friendly and they do decent work...most of the time. im giving them 1 star because i took my vehicle to them, explaining to them that when im on the interstate, my vehicle will begin to malfunction and basically stop on me completely. i advised them that i dont know the issue, however i will be heading out of town (long interstate drive obviously) and it is mandatory that this issue gets fixed. so they fix the problem, and i use that term extremely loosely. on my way from columbia to atl, my car completely shuts down on me! with my 3 year old toddler to make it worse. i call them and they advise to bring it back. im halfway to another state! and i couldnt bring it back even if i wanted to, which i would have done!!! they basically told me they cant help me, yet theyre the reason i cant even get to my destination nor back to their shop because my car is completely inoperable. i disputed the charge with my bank, ccc didnt refund me. i called multiple times leaving a message for the GM/owner to contact me and i still havent received any sort of communication. they havent offered any kind of incentive or even a partial refund. its hard enough for women to deal with vehicles and they basically charged me 400 bucks for a problem they didnt fix, plus i had to pay 200 to have my car towed to atl. i will never in life return to this shop. 400 down the drain.

Ive been going to these guys for a decade and have never been disappointed with their work. They are quick, accurate, and though they dont sacrifice quality for cost, they will always look for the cheapest way to handle any of your cars issues.

I am not an expert on cars or car service, but I have to say this place surprised me. I have been going in for oil changes and repair work on cars since my first one (in 2002) and this is the only place that has never tried to upsell me after an oil change. No your filter is dirty tactic, no unwanted diagnostics; they did the job I asked at a pretty good price, quickly at that, and I was out the door. I have no gauge on the quality of their work, but I definitely appreciate them treating customers respectfully.

My truck is about that age where smaller things are starting to go wrong. I have taken my truck to CCC about seven times in the last year for replacements such as water pump, starter, fuel line, tires, etc. My biggest mechanical fix so far (thanks to the awful SC roads) was replacing the control arms, ball joint, tie rods, and Im sure a few other things. Even then my truck was back up and running in only a few days. They do excellent work at a very reasonable price. I would recommend CCC being #1 on your list of mechanics in Columbia.

If youre like me youre looking at the overall score and thinking that cant be true. A repair shop with nearly a 5 rating, must be fake reviews. Im happy to say its not, its just an honest shop during great work. I went to this shop purely off of the reviews. There are two other national repair shops, on the same street as Complete Car Care. Two things to note:1-The parking is small and will be crowded with cars, the shop stays busy.2- Its an older shop so its not going to look like the newer repair shops. Dont judge this book by its cover.

It really upsets me that my original review disappeared. I spent more than half an hour describing the situation. They rate excellent in all respects.I took my vehicle to Complete Car Care after someone else messed up the work, and they fixed it properly, and they also came under the estimate.

I spent $1505.57 on three visits. All three visits were for my engine running hot. It has been a little over a month and I just spent $2500 to replace the cylinder head gaskets, by a Subaru dealership,, because my car was ONCE AGAIN running hot. Also, the second and third visit I told them it had a rough idle. Both times they kept just guessing at what it could be. I spent $423 within a week after bringing my car their for the last time because I knew the rough idle was an issue. The mechanic I brought it to diagnosed the rough idle and found out it was a bad coil pack. This was replaced by them and the rough idle was fixed. I also gave the second mechanic all my receipts and asked them to check the work that was done to my car. On the first visit to Complete Car Care, they gave me a tune-up, and one thing that was replaced was my spark plugs. The mechanic was able to unscrew my spark plugs with his fingers. The second mechanic was BBB accredited, while they are not. The other BIG issue I have is that I received a call on my third visit stating my Water Pump was bad and it would cost me $1300 to replace that and the timing belt. I called around for quotes because at this point I was uneasy and everyone else quoted around $700 for the same work. After arguing and threatening to report them to the BBB, he dropped the price to around $324, called and assured me that my timing belt looked okay. Surprise, I had my timing belt replaced with my head gaskets because it was fraying and at this point had them show me. I have also since priced all of their work out and parts and everything was significantly more expensive coming from them. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

Our car broke down, and Complete Car Care told us we needed a new engine. Yikes! But then they did some detective work and found that the engine might be covered under a recall. They saved us thousands of dollars, and theyll have our business in the future!
