What a fun experience! I took my family on a Sunday. We arrived just before a mad rush, which we appreciated. They made a custom chocolate birthday cake rolled sundae for .y daughter. She said it was delicious!

What a refreshing departure from what an average ice cream joint offers. They intertwine their gimmick into the stores aesthstic to make you feel like youre being made ice cream out of an actual laboratory. The ice cream itself has wonderful flavor and texture. Using fresh cream, flavorings, and liquid nitrogen, ice cream is made right before your eyes with your method of choice. The employees there are kind and really helpful in helping you decide what to order. I tried one or their rolled and mixed ice creams and I enjoyed each for what they offered. It was a little bit pricey, but if youre going to make going out for ice cream a treat anyways, then its worth it.

$$$$$$$$$$$7.75 for one serving of rolled ice cream...you pay for the novelty because it sure isn’t the ice cream.The cookies and cream was literally one crushed Oreo and some cream topped with a second Oreo. For $7.75.The environment feels like someone was trying too hard to throw a 90s-themed party but no one showed up. The signs on the walls are stickers and they’re not sticking well to the exposed brick. A single Colorado flag is thrown up as a way to fill the wall space.This place could probably be something great—especially for what each customer is paying. We’ll see what happens but I’d recommend you just skip it. Get double the ice cream anywhere else.

As a first time experience it was different. Standing room only, be prepared to have people step on your shoes and stand in the way so you can’t really see the preparation/rolling going on. Ya know the fun stuff?! Anyway, great ice cream, staff was friendly. Ate my ice cream in my car because there is no where to stand or sit. Which is why I gave a 4 star.. But I will be back!!!

This was a great shop! Staff was awesome! We are from Tulsa, Ok and we loved it! Got the rootbeer float, dragons breathe and a brownie waffle bowl. My son was so mesmerized by the making of the dragons breathe. Will make ir back this way.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is always so amazingly friendly - they always put on a good show as they prepare these awesome desserts. Nothing beats the super-fresh taste of nitro ice cream. We had the chocolate covered strawberry nitro and the birthday cake rolled and both were delicious! Do yourself a favor and check em out!

The Ice Cream Lab is a must have when in the area. I have had rolled ice cream before but nothing like this. Their presentation is absolutely amazing and the owner is a great guy. I wish I had gotten more pictures to really show their work. They do not just make the ice cream give it to you, each flavor has its own unique look and presentation. Then on top of that they have ceral infused with nitrogen. That is just a completely unique experience with food that can not be explained in words and is a Must try. I highly reccomend you must stop by here if in the area or anywhere nearby as it is definitely worth going out of your way to visit here.

This is my all time favorite ice cream place! The work they put into each flavor to make it fun and unique is stunning and its always a delight seeing what they will make! But in addition to having a great product (if you havent had rolled ice cream your missing out), the customer service is to die for. If youve been in before, they will probably recognize you. If they do something at all wrong, they will not only replace it but double the size you get. If the goal of a business is to make their customers feel special, they hit it in spades.

We are so glad we found this place, it was fun to watch them make the ice cream. This was our first experience with rolled ice cream & loved it. They are a uinque ice cream shop in Old Colorado City. I like their menu, it is busy looking, but the employees are all nice and help first timers. It is a little on the pricy side, but worth the money. My son had dragons breath cereal and I had the nitro cream cookies and cream and my brother had Smores ice cream rolled. It was so delicious. Im not sure if they have any vegan options, but next time I go Ill look. This ice cream shop is one youll have experience for yourself. Its really neat to see the nitro mix with ice cream!

I’ve been once before. And didn’t have such great service. I went today. And besides the wait, which is understandable. My daughter, wife, & myself highly enjoyed our ice cream. Quick making process. Interesting, different, and quite good. I would give 5 stars, but it took over an hour to get our ice cream. Maybe Im just impatient. Seems to get plenty of business, so maybe theyll be able to move into a bigger place in the future. Definitely worth the money, but be advised, you wont be able to get in and out quickly so plan some time.

Great ice cream and great service. It takes a while to get through the line. However, you have to take into account that the staff have to measure everything and make it fresh, on the spot. Thats a lot of stuff to remember. The owner was really nice and the family loved it. Highly recommended!

The service here was awesome! The two men that helped me and my family were super nice and even recommended their best and most popular flavors since we were new customers. The s’mores and birthday cake flavors are delicious! Plus, visually, the ice cream looks great to eat. There is also the liquid nitrogen cereal that is pretty cool. Check this place out because it is definitely worth your time!

This is my new favorite place! The owners are so nice and have great customer service, the atmosphere is fun and inviting, and the ice cream is DELICIOUS. When it comes to ice cream, this is the only place that my self and my family go! They know us by name, always greet us with a smile, and their ice cream is delicious right down to the chocolate covered strawberries. They make it right in front of you, and The Taste is out of this world as well as the presentation of watching it what happened right before your eyes

It was fun overall, and the ice cream was innovative and pretty tasty. It is most definitely NOT a quick stop though, due to the nature of the place -- making ice cream in front of you isnt instantaneous, after all. While its very Instagram-able, there are also other places nearby if youre wanting something tastier. Still a very good experience.

William was awesome! Super friendly, very informative, highly knowledgeable in his area of expertise... ICE CREAM!!! He invited us in and showed my son and I, his world. He made us different kinds of ice cream treats and explained the process for both. He got a little line built up behind us, but never made us feel rushed or as if we were a bother. The fresh cream made into dessert right before your eyes makes the whole experience even better. Super fun environment and a great place to just happen upon. Come to the Ice Cream Lab!!!!

The atmosphere is great and staff were great but the ice cream was over priced and really didn’t taste all that great. My son and I both got the rolled ice cream that i believe was called brownie explosion and it really just tasted like chocolate I didn’t taste one bit of brownie. They use 1 1/2 of a small store bought brownie bite . . . YUCK! My husband got a banana one that was great but i still can’t justify over twenty dollars for, four ice creams. It was our first and last visit.

Busy is an understatement they for sure need a bigger space. Music a little bit loud. For older crowd probably. But overall awesome ice cream, and positive atmosphere. Definitely a family day out on a Sunday afternoon in old Colorado City.

I have loved this place since it was Sweets 🍭 and Treats locates in the mall. The customer service is beyond reproach and the ice cream quality is like no other. My son loves the Dragons 🐉 Breath and I tried the Cookie 🍪 Monster the last time I went and I was drooling over how delicious 🤤 it was!! I give this place 10 starts if I could!

I’ve been following The Ice Cream Lab since they were Sweets&Treats. Their owners are amazingly sweet and customer service oriented. I’ve never seen anyone leave unhappy. They’ve brought an amazing family experience to the Springs that really anyone can enjoy. I’ll be a supporter forever.

This place is never open. Went today at 3pm closed .. went back at 6:45 and they were closing to have family time and some lady came out and was rude and said we are only one location and can’t please everyone. I get it. Family time is important but come on this is a business and isn’t run like one. Google says open 2-8 pm and this is not the first time I have stopped by after 2pm and this place is closedGlad I found “ I Cool” off academy.. Same style of ice cream (this style is known as Thai ice cream style) and are open 12:30-9:30pm and has amazing ice cream.. great website reviews and are less expensive..

Walked in at 8:02 on a Friday night with people eating in the restaurant and more people waiting in line, only to be told that they were closed. I’m not sure what sort of sense it makes to close a dessert restaurant at 8:00pm on a weekend, but don’t be surprised when a place that won’t take money from customers who want to pay isn’t open any longer.Edited: operator is unapologetic/ rude about the closing time. You’re going to need to get there in their six hour window of being open if you’re going to eat there.Which I would do quickly if you’re interested, a place being run like this won’t be open for too long...

The ice cream was really good but the dragon breath item is a complete and total rip off. 7 dollar frozen cereal. This was a really big let down and dont know if Id return.UPDATE. With out a doubt some of the best ice cream in Colorado Springs and Old Colorado city this was our first time visiting for Ice cream. It is an experience to watch the creations being made and to watch the creation that you will soon consume. All I can say is amazing. The owners were super friendly and enjoy what they are doing. Which is making amazing ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the cotton candy shake and the wife had the smores rolled ice cream. [ it came with a real roasted marshmallow on top ] If you ever wanted to step away from standard ice cream this is the place. Do your self and your ice cream senses a favor and Go Go Go here

The wait (about 25 minutes) was worth it. Delicious works of art. I would suggest the staff work more efficiently together, and wear aprons. Also, gloves for handling food items should be changed after handling money. Otherwise, its a cool concept and my kid loved the Cotton Candy Nitro Cream! 🍨

We found this a few weeks ago, and have been back every week since. Watching the ice cream get made is a real experience in and of itself. Then, the result is the tastiest, creamiest ice cream you have ever experienced. Go to this place before it gets absolutely huge and the line is out the door. You wont regret it.

The rolled ice cream was amazing. The whole experience was super fun between watching the fresh ice cream creations being made and the super friendly owners. We brought in 8 curious kids and they answered all their questions and showed them how it all worked. Definitely a great place for families!!

A1 level service!!! The place had a line out the door when we came by. They sped through every person to keep the line moving but never made anyone feel “rushed through” or anything. They make sure you still get the “experience” weather it’s the rolled ice cream or whatever other option you choose. Dragons breath was also a shocking delight! The owner Anastasia and the new homie William have phenomenal customer service too!!! Thanks for all the good vibes!

Ice cream was decent but the experience was cool. It was neat to watch them create and decorate the ice cream. The ice cream was a little watery and did not have a lot of flavor. The toppings make up for that.
