Place is understaffed and you must have an appointment now to get any real service. The people that were there were very nice, but didnt have the experience this store used to have. Will probably stop going to corporate stores from now on. Best Buy is going to be the most knowledgeable and customer service oriented in my opinion. Perhaps we need to evaluate our carrier after 18-years.

I needed to replace my work phone. I walked in, made an appointment, came back at 5:30 and it took just 30 min to replace and set up. Very knowledgeable and polite. Everyone wore a mask, I appreciate that.

The store and the customer service were absolutely top notch!! They are short handed but still so patient and so kind!! I was there for several hours and I witnessed what they have to deal with with angry clients and they were always soooo polite!!! I give these people a huge bravo for their dedication and patience. Verizon should up their pay so they don’t lose them!!

Store staff were nice to work with, but I dont like the company policy that there is a restocking fee when you return merchandise from a tele-sale. I used the chat feature for the first time and there were many things sent wrong. I would understand if it was just something I didnt want, but when it was a mix up I feel there should be an exception. I had to call customer service to get the $50 fee we paid with credit card taken off of the bill, and the phone call was about an hour to get to someone and get the problem resolved.

I had to include star in for the review to go through. Terrible customer service. I waited for over half and hour for assistance and they did not help me. There was only one employee Jayden working, of course he couldn’t keep up as there were three other customers. The manager Kristen did nothing help. She was sitting down the entire time. when closing time came around they usher everyone out and inform us that they were closed. They didn’t even try to help even after making us sign up on their system. What kinda of customer service is that?? Great customer service is when you assist those that get there before closing time. Don’t come to this location they only care about selling and not helping their loyal customers.

I am very thankful that Verizon is making sure their customers and staff are staying safe and taking extra precautions during COVID-19. We did a new phone set up over the phone the M and he was wonderful. He walked us through the process step-by-step and made sure it was done right. I later had a question and called him back and he was so happy to help with all of our questions. I highly recommend working with him. This is truly the BEST Verizon store I have been to. The staff is great and they have amazing customer service.

In the 8 years I’ve been with VZW I’ve never had a customer experience quite like the experience I had recently had with Kamden. The store was extremely busy but Kamden took the time to answer all of my questions regarding phone plans, tablets & accessories. Kamden not only gave me the best deal possible but he went the extra mile and cross-compared each of the prices to the competitions prices and showed me why VZW is and always will be the superior provider. Would recommend going straight to Russell Verizon in Waukee and foregoing this store due to poor customer treatment from the manager.They had me check in, then said I would need to wait 2 hours to be helped. I said I was willing to wait, and they said they would text me when they were ready. They called me 1.5 hours before my estimated appointment time and said I needed to come in, and they didnt see me at the door or in the parking lot. I let me them know I was two parking lots down, and would be there in 1-2 minutes, as no one told me I needed to wait in front of their door + this time varied 30 minutes from their predicted time- but luckily I was right next door. He said he didnt know if he could wait, and he would have to check with his manager and call me back. Before he could even call me back, I was walking into their door, and had a text message saying Come in to be helped, your appointment is ready. When I entered, the manager approached me and said I wasnt in the parking lot when they called me (4-5 minutes prior) and I was now put at the bottom of their list, and would need to now wait ANOTHER 2 hours before they could help me. I showed him my call log, and the text message I had received all within 5 minutes, and also told him that no one had informed me of this policy where I had to physically wait in front of their door for 2 hours. I told him I would wait another 20-30 minutes, but didnt find it acceptable to have to wait 2 more additional hours! He was unapologetic, rude, degrading, and I was baffled by the lack of communication on their end, followed by very ill treatment to the customer afterwards. Terrible experience and a lot of wasted time.

Went to the store not knowing an appointment was needed and I had an issue I needed resolved ASAP. Mason came out and helped us anyways! He was VERY informative and explained everything to us and answered all of our questions clearly. He was able to help me with the problem I had in a timely manner. Definitely will be going to him if I ever need help again!!

Decided to switch to Verizon today, and we asked for the iphone12 pro. Was given the iPhone 12 and didn’t realize it was the wrong phone till I got home, then had to drive back. Was told there was a waiting time of 90 minutes after I just had left! And, was charged an additional $50. For there MISTAKE!!!!!!!

Not going to lie...I was dreading coming to a cell phone store during this pandemic. I was pleased to see every employee greeted us wearing a mask. The associate quickly trouble shooter my issue. (pretty easy, my power button quit working) Within minutes he placed a warranty replacement order and I was on my way out. Very pleased how quickly the transaction happened because I was a little stunned and had to ask “is this it??”. Left very happy knowing. My issue was resolved in a timely manner and I knew a phone was on its way to my home. I just wish we could have done this inside...it was very hot in the parking lot.

The store is working valiantly to serve high demand during Covid virus. Everyone was very patient and courteous. Still the number of customers was overwhelming and the public had unrealistic expectations. I feel sorry for the Verizon staff. Dillon was the ultimate customer service representative. His knowledge, skills and experience were awesome!

The staff is really helpful, but their manager was much less so. I left behind my drivers license when I stopped to pick up my sons phone, and instead of helping me with a workaround so my son could still get his phone, he just flatly said no, cant help you. Turns out all I needed to do was go on the website and add my son as an authorized account contact, and he could have used his ID to pick up the phone on the spot.The managers entire job is to help Verizon customers and he was wholly uninterested in being helpful. He did, however, seem to enjoy being smug about it. Dont go to this store, go to the owner operated store south of Jordan Creek Mall, they deliver much better service to their customers.

Ordered a phone online because no one would answer the phone at this location. As I put the order in the site showed me that this location was available for in store pick up (in stock) so I did that. Called 3 times to get the hours for New Years Day but never got through. Decided to drive there because my phone was ready and found the doors locked at 4:05pm. There were several people in the store and someone did come open the door to let people out and told me that they close at 4. I said I am just here to pick a phone up and would be out of there before the people that were already in there and was told no... its a security risk and they cant do that. Shut the door in my face. I will pick my phone up tomorrow and never go back. THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. EVER! AVOID THIS LOCATION.

Theyre very helpful once you get helped but that can take 5-30 minutes. Ive had a few issues there but thats partially my own fault. Overall its a pretty good place Id give it a 3.5 if I had the option.

After being a Sprint customer for over 15 years, I finally decided to switch to Verizon due to price and coverage area. I was there on a day that it was very busy, but I got there a little early before the crowd came. I was greeted at the door immediately, and taken straight to a staff member(Corey), who was going to help me. We went through the plans of data, and I told him what phones we wanted. He made sure that we got all the promotions offered at that time, and also thoroughly explained how the billing would work so there would be no surprises. He made sure that I was comfortable with everything before I left, and also gave me his business card in case I ever had any questions, maybe save me a trip to the store. He had me in and out of there in a decent amount of time, answered all my questions, and had a great attitude. I was also greeted by the manager, making sure all was going well.. which it was. Overall, Im really happy with the services I have received at this location, and am SUPER happy that I switched from Sprint, saving money and getting better customer service and service coverage(no dropped calls, faster data). The staff was super friendly but didnt listen to what we needed. They set us up with a plan that didnt cover our needs. Then when we went to use the service found out we need to add it to the plan at $20 per month. The salesman was not helpful at that point and stopped texting and responding. We had to call corporate to get things resolved. We will go to another store or brand when our plan is up.

You know, Verizon may have the Best signal there is, or so they say, but thats zero excuse to charge over $160 more for the phone I was interested in. I wanted the Moto G6 Play, which other companies priced for $100 or less. Verizons price? Like $250, and thats just ridiculous. I proudly marched right over to U.S. Cellular and purchased the same phone for just $89.99, and paid a total of $150 to have everything all set up and going, even insurance for the phone. Still $100 in savings. Not cool, Verizon.

They took the time to figure out a way to transfer my daughter (whos passed away) text message to my new phone from my nonworking old phone. The patience and compassion of Taylor, Kevin, Alex, Julian, and one other (didnt get his name) was amazing! They are a special group of people in that location and Im thankful for their service.

Watch out for these slick employees, I was charged for a car charger that not once came up while purchasing a phone..I have asked for a refund which they are making me use my time and gas to go back to their store. Kurt has always been my go to guy in this store, but yesterday I had to deal with Kyle. My expectations have always been met anytime I have dealt with Kurt, and Kyle met my expectations yesterday. I appreciate the time that Kyle took yesterday to help me figure out the best avenue to accomplish what I needed to do with my plan and adding an additional line. I like the way the store has been setup, recently remodeled. Thank you very much for these employees and the way they help. I hope these guys are getting paid what they are worth!

I have never been dissatisfied with a Corporate Verizon store, and this place was everything we could have asked for.My wifes iPhone started dropping calls, so she stopped in to get a new SIM card, and within a few minutes they could tell that it was a hardware issue beyond the SIM card. They suggested she try the Apple store first.The Apple store quickly isolated the problem being with the modem and offered the warranty repair. We decided to get the phone fixed for one of our kids and went back up to the Verizon store and upgraded her to the Xs. We could have bought the phone at the Apple store but went back to Verizon because their team just always makes us feel confident in their best intentions toward us as customers.We stay with Verizon because our travels around the country have proven to us that they offer the best cell phone service and our times in the corporate stores have proven to us they offer the best customer service too!!

I was a GM of Verizon retailer for many years. First time in this location about a year ago I experienced terrible customer service to which I went to another location inside Jordan Creek. As someone who has been in a position of customer service before I realize people have bad days. Thats why I usually never leave bad reviews. However, on two separate occasions Ive had this larger gentlemen help me and this time I believe his badge says manager. Wow, Ive never felt less respected as a customer then I have dealing with that guy. How does he have a job? So condescending and unhelpful. I Told him my issues I was having and if he could help me with the process on a computer. His response and mannerisms were of basically this guy doesnt want to buy anything so hes wasting my time. Youre technology/communications company pull it up on one of the 10 computers/tablets in your hands and in the store. Did not pre-qualify or pull my account up, did not ask me my name, did not introduce himself. This is the guy training your staff? DSM needs to step in and train this guy better.

Horrible staff, horrible service, Kayla (sp?) refused to give me my information over the phone because I was not in store but had no reservations about giving all of my account information to a third party I sent in to pay my bill. Working with Verizon in general, but more specifically this store, has been an absolute pain and not worth it at all. To add to it all, I paid a bill in cash, was never given a receipt and what would you know? The amount I paid became past due. Im assuming that my money was pocketed by one of your bottom tier salespeople.

Good selection but customer service is hit or miss. If I come into the store to upgrade, i do not want someone telling me how easy it is to do things from home. Thats why Im in the store. I was also sold several screen protectors that were about to be recalled, yet i was not informed until i returned the items. Seems very sell you stuff and get you out the door, let you deal with the complications later experience.

TERRIBLE. Staff is unknowledgable. While upgrading my phone, the sales associate LEFT FOR LUNCH AND I DID NOT SEE HIM RETURN AFTER 40 MINUTES. Another one, Ben, is completely rude and dismissive. You are better off going elsewhere. Been a Verizon customer for 18 years and still get awful treatment. Trust me, go elsewhere. I will not be continuing my contract after this one I unfortunately signed in to.

Went in for a little service, 1 Verizon rep was with a customer, the other 4 or 5 were talking to each other or noses buried in their phones. I walked in and sat down at the counter, no hellos, no may I help you, not even eye contact. I waited over 15 minutes and watched as other customers walking in were greeted and attended to. So, I left.

Went in to transfer my phone to Verizon. Theyll tell you no problem, start the process and wipe the phone, then tell you its not compatible and buy a new phone. And theyll start an account with a billing cycle, even if no phone is attached to the plan. Is that even legal??? Thanks for breaking my phone and charging me for it. All about money and upselling than helping the customer. Thanks for nothing.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I went in to buy a new phone, my old one was lost, and all I got was serious attitude from some kid and no help clarifying why I couldnt buy a new one at full retail price while I continued paying off my old one. Im shocked anyone could be hired as a salesman with that sort of rudeness and apathy towards their patrons. I will say the other staff members were friendly and checked in while I waited to be helped, it was busy, but I was extremely disappointed. Bringing my money elsewhere.

Verizon has the best network in the greater Des Moines metro area hands down. Having said that these Cell Phone Brick and Mortar Stores tend to all be pretty much a drag. Long waits...arrogant staff or just unknowledgeable!Visiting one ranks with going to the Dentist for a root canal!

Not the best salesmanship/customer service by any stretch. Pretty horrible actually, I was uneducated and now I realize that, but the kid just wanted to argue with me. I am in Sales, and I personally would have tried to educate the customer in a very friendly manner, but oh well the other store on merle hay got the business.

Awful. They couldnt figure out how to make my voicemail work when I stopped in on 3 separate occasions. I was even told it was fixed, then left without voicemail for a long weekend (I NEED my VM for my job). Finally I decided just to switch back to my old phone (what does that take, 30 seconds?) I stopped in hoping for a quick resolution after all of this and was told Id have to wait 40 minutes. If I treated people like that, I wouldnt have a business...or friends for that matter.
